In legal proceedings, sworn affidavits must be truthful and credible, as false statements under oath constitute perjury and undermine the administration of justice; Section 35 of the South African Constitution guarantees every accused person the right to a fair trial, which includes protection from fabricated statements and pressured witnesses, while Section 165 mandates that courts and the administration of justice must operate independently and with integrity.

GENERAL LESHABANE EXPOSES SERIOUS FABRICATION: CONSTABLE ZUNGU LIED UNDER OATH@SkybriedgeAdded:
You know it's serious when the courtroom suddenly loses all the noise because today even Judge Ratha seemed unusually quiet while General Leshabane was dismantling Constable Zungu's affidavit piece by piece. Not emotionally, not dramatically, clinically. And the more Advocate Numalo pushed, the worse it became. General Leshabane basically walked into court and said, "That is false.
I never said that. That never happened."
A sworn affidavit in a murder trial being publicly rejected line by line.
That is not a small problem. That is institutional damage. This affidavit exhibit 3A a paragraph 13 it says the following and I quote the the same year 2019 I received a call from General Leshabane who work who asked me to meet him at his cluster office at 2:00 Hampton Park.
It was possible Sunday at around 1700 hours when I arrived in this office.
I met General Leshabane who informed me that he did further investigation and followed up on the information Mose gave him about the involvement of his uncle who was not well known to him.
The General told me that he found he has found that Mose was directly involved in the murder of Senzo Mayiwa and that information I gave him was accurate and correct.
Sorry.
I know it's There's a Is there a Is there a paragraph >> There's a portion that is highlighted but I don't see what you are reading.
>> [clears throat] >> Okay, let me read from here.
Which line?
From line paragraph 13 the whole of paragraph 13. Yes, I have it here. Page five of the statement.
>> Yes.
From page four goes to page six.
Oh, sorry. Maybe there's a missing page.
There's many days are missing page?
Can you just read it line for line not the whole page? Just read it line. It reads as follows.
In September 2019, I received a call from General Ntshabane who asked me to meet him at his cluster office in Kokstad.
It was possible Sunday at around 17:00 hours when I arrived in his office.
Did you meet him General? Do you remember meeting him? My my Lord, uh you know even a hobo will see that it's a cooking case. I never met him where now I told him that no, I met Mosey. Mosey, I saw him last the time he was in my office with another team. And I just was no way I met Mosey. And Mosey never told me, "Here he is Mosey. You can ask him."
So, this is a cooking thing and I'm afraid that now this is a high court. We cannot come here and lie.
And this is a sensational case.
So, the further says, "I met General Ntshabane. He informed me that he did further investigation and followed up on information Mosey gave him about the involvement of his uncle Moses Phewan Doon who was well known to him."
My Lord, it's a blue lie. Mosey is here.
He never came to me and told me about it.
Yes, I see accused number four says this is out my Lord. My approach is >> [clears throat] >> Thank you, madam for the cotton engines.
General Uh This is a statement of constable Zondo.
Yes.
>> Yes. I hope we're on the same page.
Or understanding.
Constable Zondo, this is what he is saying, General, in this paragraph.
He says, "I met General Sibanyoni and he informed me that he had that he did further investigation and followed up on the information Muzi gave him about the involvement of his uncle, Bheki Sibanyoni, who was well-known to him, that is you, General.
See, General told me that he found he has found that Muzi was directly involved in the murder of Senzo Meyiwa and that's the information I gave him him, that is Constable Zondo, was accurate and correct."
Uh my lord, this is a blue lie.
As I said in previously, when I met Zondo, he said he had from Gwabini that the two were involved.
There was no way there's no way now myself uh I met him and say uh um uh Muzi told me about that.
It's a blue lie. Constable Zondo, I'm going to ask you a question, Alana. Uh Alana, we have Constable Zondo who I'm going to ask you a question about.
>> My lord, I want to inform the court that now after failing to link the suspect, they want to bring the senior officer in between.
My lord, I know nothing about what you say. And these five people here, I never said I I know them. And I gave this to him. Okay. Take it bit by bit, General, please.
Now, uh what happened to him?
Uh he is trying. Remember, he said he was forced to write false statement. And what happened to him?
I'm not surprised, my lord, that he said he was sent by a senior officer whom we cannot name.
They wanted to take to take chance on me. I'm not that type of corrupt policeman.
>> My lord, this is a national case. We must tell you the honest truth.
Now, the constables is lying before the court.
Misleading the High Court.
I cannot be part of that.
Thank you, General.
Those are strong words indeed. Thank you, General, for that. And this is where the situation becomes dangerous for the integrity of the entire case.
Because once a witness under oath starts getting contradicted by senior officials, once affidavits begin collapsing in open court, people stop asking whether mistakes were made. They start asking whether a narrative was manufactured from the beginning. And today, General Leshabane did not merely disagree with Zungu. He buried the credibility of that affidavit.
Especially the allegations suggesting that the five accused were implicated through pressure and manipulated statements. If those claims are true, then this was never just about solving a murder case. It becomes a constitutional issue. Section 35 of the Constitution guarantees every accused person the right to a fair trial. Not a trial poisoned by fabricated statements. Not a trial contaminated by pressured witnesses. A fair trial. And section 165 makes it clear that the courts and the administration of justice must operate independently and with integrity.
Because once false information enters a courtroom under oath, the damage spreads far beyond one witness. The public loses confidence. the investigation loses credibility, and the justice system starts looking political instead of lawful. That is why perjury in a high court matter is treated so seriously.
Lying under oath is not just another contradiction. It is an assault on the administration of justice itself. And today, General Leshabane's testimony hit like a demolition hammer. You could actually feel the atmosphere changing inside that courtroom. Even the usual energy from the bench was different.
Because contradictions are one thing, but when a senior officer publicly rejects an entire version of events under oath, that leaves a stain that does not disappear easily. The transcripts remain. The footage remains.
The contradictions remain. And South Africans are watching every second of it unfold in real time. This video is created for educational, commentary, and public interest discussion purposes. We do not offer legal advice, and all individuals mentioned remain presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. And lastly, thank you to every single person watching. Whether you agree or disagree with the commentary, thank you for taking the time to engage with these proceedings and think critically about what is happening inside that courtroom. This case has affected many lives, many families, and the entire country has followed it for years. Your support, your views, your discussions, and your presence on this channel genuinely mean a lot. To the subscribers who return every day, to the silent viewers who never comment but always watch, and to everyone sharing these videos with others, thank you sincerely. Until next time. I'm Skybridge. Goodbye.
