This video provides a necessary reality check by reminding us that human progress is just a rearrangement of existing atoms. It effectively turns a basic physics principle into a humbling perspective on Earth's unchanging scale.

Weight difference between Earth 1million years ago and today💀 #space #usa #astronomy追加:
Have you ever wondered about this? Is the Earth the same weight today [music] as it was a million years ago? After all, we now have massive skyscrapers, football stadiums, [music] and cities covering the globe. But, here's what a sharp mind would realize. Every building, every person, every smartphone, all of it is simply Earth's own elements rearranged [music] and combined. Iron, oxygen, silicon, everything traces back to materials already here on Earth. By that logic, the total mass should never change, [music] not by a single gram. And, remarkably, that's mostly correct. [music] The total amount of matter within the Earth stays essentially the same. But, there is one [music] variable that changes everything. And, it's happening right now, above our heads. Every year, light [music] gases escape from our atmosphere into space. Hydrogen gas drifts away at roughly 95,000 tons per year. On top of that, nuclear fission deep inside Earth's core converts matter [music] into energy, bleeding off another 16 tons of mass every year. So, let's do the math. Around 50,000 [music] tons lost per year, multiplied by 1 million years, that's 50 billion [music] tons gone. Sounds enormous, right? But, compared to Earth's total mass, it's almost nothing. We're talking about [music] just really small percent of the planet.
