The Day I Realized I Was Not the Center of Everything

[00:00:00]I used to think everything revolved around me, and for a long time everyone agreed. The sun rose for me, the stars moved for me, the entire universe orbited around me. At least, that's what we all believed. For thousands of years humans looked up at the sky and saw exactly what they expected. Everything moving around me, everything centered on me. I was the middle of everything, the most important thing.

[00:00:29]The reason the universe existed. And then, someone looked closer, a man named Copernicus. And what he found changed everything. I wasn't the center. I never was. I was moving the whole time while humans stood on my surface, certain that everything revolved around them.

[00:00:49]I was orbiting the sun silently, constantly, without anyone knowing.

[00:00:56]And the sun wasn't the center, either.

[00:00:58]The sun orbits the galaxy. The galaxy moves through the universe, and the universe itself has no center at all.
