For Path of Exile 2 league start, rush all main Atlas points first as they provide universal benefits for currency, gear, and progression; then choose Abyss as the optimal day one farming mechanic due to its strong crafting capabilities, high rare monster spawns, and excellent currency/gear drops, while avoiding Temple and Expedition on day one as they require extensive setup time and offer delayed returns.

My League Start Plans for 0.5.0 - Path of Exile 2Added:
Hey guys, I want to go over my league start plans for 0.5. Usually I make like an atlas progression guide, what you should be doing to progress with the atlas, but because we're getting a whole new end gaming work, I also can't do that. You know, we don't have the Atlas tree currently. We don't even know like what's the best way to progress, right?
So instead, I'm going to give you a video of my rough idea of what I'm going to do for like day one into day two of the league start. What I think is going to be pretty optimal. But as you're finishing the campaign, I expect this to be around, you know, four to five hours for me, unless we get server issues, which we usually do get ser issues on lead launch. I'm going to immediately rush the main atlas points. So, just like how we currently have the Atlas, how we have the main Atlas points, Lumak Atlas, I'm going to rush all the main Atlas points. I think it's going to be very, very important just for general gains, currency gains, gear drops, and all that. So, yeah, rushing the main story line to get all the Atlas points in my opinion probably should be the best way to go about it. Yeah. And so I'm going to stick with this until I acquire all the Atlas points. If you don't know the next patch, you can fill out every single node on your Atlas skill tree. So you have a lot of points.
You got to get all of them. I think they said it should take around like three to maybe like 6 hours. I don't know what the exact numbers were to fill your atlas. If you just you should rush it if you're a fast player. Also, you're slower, it would take a bit longer.
Yeah, this probably should be the best thing to do, but it is just an educated guess because, you know, these atlas passives will apply for every single strat you do, right? So, I don't really want to rush a bit at the start before I get my main atlas tree because I'll just be losing a ton of free juice after that. Uh, as far as sort of first mechanic I'm going to form, you have like five different mechanics you can choose from. You have abyss, breach, ritual expedition, and temple. For me, I'm going to farm abyss. Abyss crafting a soldier is very, very strong, especially for making good gear early on. Has not been nerked whatsoever. And the mechanic also spawns a lot of ram monsters. It's also good for raw currency and gear drops does make it extremely lucrative early on. Usually rare gear is like quite bad in this game, right? But day one, day one rare drops is actually pretty useful. Those tier four, tier five rare drops usually actually do sell on day one when people just have really really bad gear and they just want any upgrade they can get their hands on. So yeah, I do expect Abyss to be extremely good. I'm not going to say it's going to be the best.
I'm not sure it's going to be the best, but you know, it wouldn't surprise me if you know, Abyss is the best day one farm just because it has everything. It has really good crafting, a lot of rare monsters, good for currency, good for gear drops, right? The other high contender for me is Breach. Breach is getting rework if you don't know. It's getting a breach crafting skill tree, which allows you to print rings and amulets and belts, but belts aren't that important because rare belts generally are pretty weak. Yeah. Allows you to print rare rings and amulets. And you know, usually in terms of gear, weapons, the rings and amulets are the most expensive pieces. So if you're able to print like really really good amulets, then breach might be extremely lucrative. Of course, the downside of breach is that it does tend to have a lot less rare monsters and monsters in general compared to abyss. So it is usually worse for raw currency drops.
But yeah, the rare rings and rare amulets might make up for that and might close that gap. But you know, a little bit of a wild card there. Not sure. It probably will be the second mechanic I do try out because it does look quite interesting. As for other mechanics, I don't really plan to do these at the league starting for a few days, but ritual seems like a big wild card here.
While ritual will give guaranteed uniques every time you do it, we don't know how generous it will be with the rare uniques. You know, as you know, in POE, majority of uniques in this game are pretty worthless. So, we don't really know. Is a ritual action give you like a rare unique pretty commonly. Is it going to be like way too rare, which is not realistic to even get? Who really knows? And also most importantly, you know, ritual omen just aren't worth that much in the first few days, which is the big reason why I don't really want to farm it in the first few days because that tends to be why you need ritual is for those big omen drops in the first few days. They just really aren't that expensive cuz a lot of people aren't really crafting yet. Expedition expedition for me, you know, it's completely unknown, but more so I'm just not a fan of the mechanic. It's one of my least favorite, if not my least favorite mechanic next to whis in pew 2.
So, I don't really see myself doing this new mechanic on leg launch unless the loser is just absolutely insane cuz I'm just really not a fan of expedition. So, I'm just not going to do it unless, you know, it really is just that good. And then finally, temple. I actually still expect Temple to be quite decent and might be an overall really good endgame strat. Despite the snake strat being nerfed, you can still stabilize at around 50 rooms. And 50 rooms, you know, is quite a bit. That still sounds like decent for loot, although barely any rooms would be upgraded because it will get destroyed constantly. Yeah, it does actually sound like it so might be a pretty solid end game farm strat. But the reason why I'm not going to start with this, this will take a bit of time to set up. You know, temple is not something you just instantly set up. It does take hours upon hours upon hours.
So, I would prefer, you know, more doing something like abyss or breach day one and get instant returns before like the really good items, you know, spike in price and all that. You know, stuff like honol, right? Yeah. While I do expect temple to actually be quite decent after the nerfs, it is a link mechanic that takes time to ramp. So, I don't expect it to really be good that day one. Maybe when you do set up it is quite decent.
It also might be bad, right? It is hard to say. Maybe when you do set up like 40 50 rooms, it could just be, you know, really Who really knows? But yeah, at the very least, I don't plan to day one because it will take that time to set up. And because it does take time to set up, I just don't think it'll be a great day one le mechanic. Better get those instant returns from something like Breach Ritual or, you know, Abyss, the one I'm planning on doing, just to instantly buy your good items early on.
Yeah, of course. Like always, I'll always be showcasing any strat I find on YouTube and, you know, frequently give my build updates as well. I probably will make a full Atlas version guide once I get my full knowledge on it. That could be like a few days in, could be a weekend. Who really knows? But as of right now, we are going pretty blind to the Atlas. We don't really know what any of the, you know, nodes to an Atlas tree. We don't know any of like the main skill tree besides a few. We don't really know the lean mechanics outside of a few, right? So, it is pretty blind right here. And, you know, hopefully I will be able to find some of the best stuff we can do. So yeah, my general progression, speed through campaign, rush the max Atlas points, do abyss day one with high rarity, and then potentially try breach, but unsure for day one. Breach may be like a day two thing for me. It's probably overall better also to stick with one mechanic so you don't waste time getting atlas points, right? If you do like, you know, if you do abyss into breach into ritual, into deli into expedition, um you're just like kind of wasting time jumping from one l mechanic to the next because like once you have all your abyss points, you just keep spamming it cuz you have then you have maximum juice, right? So yeah, it will be better on one mechanic over jump to each other. I guess I did forget to mention deli here.
Um deli is usually like a melee mechanic you stack on top of other mechanics, but maybe it will be a nice solic.
I do expect Lauren to have really high endgame value though, maybe like a day one, day two thing because it is going to have voices. It's gonna have mega maniacs. It's going to have these very very high-end chase items which will make it quite lucrative. But of course, those high-end chase items, you know, usually don't have those insane values like day one and two. Also, it might be quite hard because it did show you can get up to 200% to learn on your map, which is extremely challenging content.
At least I would assume so because 200% deli is extremely high. Usually 100% delay before it got quite tanky. So yeah, deli is probably not so much of a day one thing, but it is going to be one of them mechanics that does scale very well into the league's length. So yeah, that's my general plans. You know, early profit is usually selling whatever decent rag I can find. You know, picking up white bases, all transmute, being smart about my crafting currency, all that. Can't really go over everything in this video cuz it's quite a lot to go into like a leave launch and what I'm doing. Of course, I will be live streaming the whole thing. I'm usually doing 24 plus hour live streams like the first day or two and then like 18 plus hour live streams. So, you know, I live stream quite a bit on League Launch.
Probably know that if you watched me before. Yeah, put up every single rare gear I find for like 1 to 5x or one on is very very good. If you have the stash tabs, you usually just want to spam uh your shop, right? Just spam it with items. Any decent random you find, just put up on here, right? Just make as much currency as you can by spamming all your items on an it is just free to do and it is, you know, pretty lucrative to do so.
Now, in general, just the less time you spend a hideout is better. And yeah, Abyss should provide really good currency drops when I get my grade to 100%. Which hopefully I can usually do day one. Yeah, that's my plans for league start. Like I said, this usually will be a league start guide video, but I can't make a guide this time around because, you know, the ending game is completely new. Anyway, I will have a full end game guide probably within like anywhere three to five days into the league going over what you should do and all that. Yeah, that these are my current day one plans for league start.
And yeah, that's all up.
