Hot and humid across Tampa Bay

[00:00:00]Hi everyone, I'm 1030 Bay News meteorologist James Gregorio and it's hot and humid out here. We've got uh real feel temperatures that are into the upper 90s.

[00:00:09]High temperatures today going to climb into the 90s across the area. We're just about there right now over most of the area. So, again, it's humid. Dew point readings in the 70s. Air you can wear.

[00:00:19]It's going to get even soupier and the risk for more widespread showers and storms going to pop up tomorrow. About a 40% chance for some of that rain heading our way. So, just be mindful of this.

[00:00:28]The rain is going to build in by about midday tomorrow. We're going to see some pretty good soakers. I'll have another update for you tomorrow morning before this starts to get going. We'll take a look at the radar and we'll take a look at all those goodies here, but uh looks like summer has come a little early to Florida. Unfortunately, the drought still rages on. We are about a foot down uh from normal in terms of rainfall. So, we really need the rain. We're just not getting it. Until then, looks like we're going to be sweating.
