[01:56:06]This is my distinct privilege and honor to introduce someone who is no stranger to preaching. Although she will not categorize herself as a professional, she has gladly responded to the call to be a humble mouthpiece of the Lord for the first time before her home church battle.

[01:56:32]This remarkable woman of God has been a faithful anchor, a trusted friend, and one of the greatest role model of my life. She is my beloved mother, Christine Bonidovva.

[01:56:48]Christine discovered the Seventh Day Adventist faith during her teenage years. And from that moment on, her life was transformed by a deep love for God and a whole outdated devotion in caring for others which has shown through her kindness, compassion, faithfulness, and demonstrated a quiet but powerful life of sermon of grace and devotion. A greatest ministry in my view remain a her dedication within her family. She has put unmeasured love, prayers and strength into raising her six children to teaching them by both words and by example what it means to walk with God.

[02:15:01]>> All of us has gone through it every day.

[02:15:10]It doesn't care where you are, what rank you are in society. It doesn't care what your degree is.

[02:15:16]It doesn't care if you're rich.

[02:15:18]It doesn't care if you're poor.

[02:16:58]But it's a little bad when you hear people are suffering due to sin.

[02:17:04]A lot of time they say the way she was acting, I saw it coming.

[02:17:10]>> That doesn't surprise me. She was doing too much.

[02:17:15]That's why that happened.

[02:17:19]>> So we say due to sin.

[02:17:24]>> Let me tell you brothers and sisters that's not always true.

[02:19:57]>> When we come here, those that are left behind, we >> we we tell them we're doing great here.

[02:20:14]Lame took his family.

[02:20:19]>> They're going to Moab.

[02:20:22]And they took the road and they left.

[02:20:28]And guys, you know, not every decision God will open.

[02:20:34]A lot of time we make decisions without talking to God.

[02:20:40]We don't even know if God agrees or if he doesn't agree with it.

[02:20:44]We make our choice however we see fit.

[02:20:49]We never even think of the consequences.

[02:20:53]>> Some choices you make the consequences are bad.

[02:21:01]>> And when they got to Moab and a a little while after Elimc died, >> so what happened?

[02:21:14]>> Naomi becomes a widow.

[02:21:18]>> No husband.

[02:21:22]>> In the meantime, They left with two kids. They had two kids.

[02:21:31]When they reached Moab, >> the kids married two Moabites.

[02:21:39]>> 10 years later, both kids died.

[02:21:44]Now, >> she doesn't have a husband >> and she lost her kids.

[02:21:54]>> Brothers and sisters, if you haven't gone through losing a kid, say thank you to Jesus.

[02:22:06]>> It's a suffering you will live with till you die.

[02:22:15]So I can't even tell you how Naomi was living.

[02:22:21]>> But praise be to God.

[02:22:23]>> A lot of times a lot of time those bitter things change to sweetness.

[02:22:33]>> The reason why I say Ruth has the similar story to Naomi.

[02:22:39]Naomi lost her husband and two kids.

[02:22:45]>> Uh we lost her husband and her father-in-law.

[02:22:52]So both of them they function with tears in their eyes.

[02:22:57]Both of just like some of us here we have tears in our eyes that won't stop flowing.

[02:23:07]A lot of us, we don't cry in front of people, but if our pillows, they like to gossip, they would say, "Oh, this person, they cry a lot."

[02:23:16]>> But this morning, I would tell you, someone can dry your tears.

[02:23:22]Naomi is facing problems.

[02:23:28]>> Something happened.

[02:23:32]>> Some news is spreading around.

[02:23:36]The gossip is running around.

[02:23:41]>> Naomi heard >> that God visited Israel.

[02:23:49]>> She heard there's food in Israel.

[02:23:54]>> Just like if you guys heard there's food, everybody's running.

[02:24:00]A lot of us, we like to eat.

[02:24:03]I will tell you sincerely, look for God's food because it's when you eat it, you feel satisfied.

[02:24:16]>> Now Naomi is returning back to Bethlehem.

[02:24:20]She has no reason to stay at Moab.

[02:24:23]She doesn't have family in Moab.

[02:24:25]>> That's not where she was born.

[02:24:28]It's life's circumstance that brought her there.

[02:24:32]And that circumstance gave her despair >> and she decided to return back home.

[02:24:43]Now friends, I'm inviting you to return.

[02:24:51]A lot of us, God is knocking at the door of our heart saying, "Come back."

[02:24:56]>> God is telling you, "Leave sin.

[02:25:02]God is saying, "Leave those programmed sins."

[02:25:08]This is why you guys need to turn around.

[02:25:19]It's God who is asking us to leave.

[02:25:29]It's not the bread of Israel that is making her feel good, but it's what God is giving her.

[02:25:36]Now, she made the decision to go back home.

[02:25:41]The two ladies were with her.

[02:25:45]Two of her daughter-in-laws.

[02:25:49]She told them, "You know what?

[02:25:53]>> You guys can come back with me.

[02:25:57]You weren't born in Israel.

[02:26:00]>> You weren't born in Bethlehem.

[02:26:03]>> You weren't born in Judah. What you talking about? You want to go with me?

[02:26:09]>> Stay in your house with your family.

[02:26:13]I'll ask God for grace over you.

[02:26:16]I'll ask him to bless you because you were good.

[02:26:23]>> You were good with the dead.

[02:26:25]and you're good with me.

[02:26:32]The lady say, "No way. No way. We cannot leave for the Lord."

[02:26:38]>> But Naomi was just in what she was saying.

[02:26:43]She said, "You guys can't come with me."

[02:26:47]And she told them why.

[02:26:52]I have no other chance for you guys to marry.

[02:26:57]I'm an old lady. I'm an old lady. I don't have plans to get married.

[02:27:05]>> Even if that idea came into my mind, would you guys wait for me to have a kid for that kid to grow up and married with that kid?

[02:27:17]And when she said that, >> one of them said, "Let me leave."

[02:27:27]Oppa was crying with Ruth.

[02:27:32]After Ruth said that, the water dried up.

[02:27:39]A lot of times we see some situations happen. We leave >> in Creole. They say you left.

[02:27:48]>> You leave.

[02:27:59]They said Naomi said, "Go back. You're going to find your God at your house."

[02:28:10]That shows that the Moabites did not have or believe in the same God as the Israelites because the text say their God.

[02:28:22]It doesn't say the God who is the living God.

[02:28:27]So she returned.

[02:28:32]Now, I would like for you to tell me, what God are you serving?

[02:28:37]Are you serving the living God?

[02:28:40]>> Or do you have another God in your life?

[02:28:46]>> It's very easy to say you're okay.

[02:28:50]>> But I'm telling you this right now, you're not okay. You know why?

[02:28:59]A lot of us have little gods in our lives that we are keeping close.

[02:29:04]>> Money, power, when you want to serve God faithfully, those things cannot live in your life.

[02:29:25]So Naami said do the same thing as your sister. Don't you see she left?

[02:29:30]Nami say why you pressuring me?

[02:29:34]>> I said I'm staying with you. I will stay with you.

[02:29:39]You know a lot of people come in your life but they don't come to stay.

[02:29:46]There's three type of people you will frequent in your life every day.

[02:29:51]>> The first type They're friendly with you >> for the relationship.

[02:29:58]>> They're friendly with you for power.

[02:30:03]>> They're friends with you for what you have.

[02:30:07]But when things get tough, they're gone.

[02:30:12]>> There's a second type of friends.

[02:30:15]They're friends with you.

[02:30:18]>> Because they say I have, you have we can walk together.

[02:30:26]>> One, there will be a time.

[02:30:29]>> They will bounce.

[02:30:32]There's a third category that will stay with you because they love you for realy.

[02:30:41]That third category, >> they don't care if that is they don't say when that is not good, I'll be here.

[02:30:50]>> They say when that is not good, I have to be here.

[02:30:55]>> That's the type of people you need in your life.

[02:30:59]I'm asking for God to put those type of people in your way.

[02:31:04]We need those type of people.

[02:31:09]When adversities come, these people need to be there.

[02:31:15]When tribulations come, you need those people there.

[02:31:21]At the same time, my friend, nothing happens one way.

[02:31:30]That makes me understand Ruth was good.

[02:31:37]Naomi was good, too.

[02:31:41]Naami was a good mother-in-law.

[02:32:52]And also I discover that Naomi gave Ruth um lessons of faith.

[02:33:20]When Ruth has problem which is the young people we use one word we don't mix you know why we say that we are women of faith women of prayer we don't mix with the youth if this is how you thinking this morning I'm saying you're not in this fight it's important to stand next to the youth It's it's important to lift them up.

[02:33:59]It's important for you guys to give them hand when they fall to lift them up.

[02:34:15]I can say I grew up in the SDA church because I've been there for a long time.

[02:34:22]You know, it's a type of people that don't like to stand for each other.

[02:34:29]Sorry guys, but you guys don't like to stand for each other.

[02:34:36]They think they're holy, holier than thou.

[02:34:42]But let me tell you, you're not in heaven yet. You're on earth.

[02:34:46]You need to learn how to tolerate others.

[02:34:59]You need to know how to do that because it will benefit you as well.

[02:35:51]>> They're leaving Moab to return to Bethlehem.

[02:35:58]What I like about God, he always makes a way for his kids.

[02:36:06]He made a way for these women.

[02:36:16]It wasn't an easy road. It was a long road from Moab back to Bethlehem.

[02:36:21]>> They took the journey and they went together and they arrived.

[02:36:25]>> And when they arrived, It was a time of festival. There are a lot of um festivities going on.

[02:36:42]>> So they arrived during that time.

[02:36:47]But I don't think they came looking nice.

[02:36:51]Your inside is not good.

[02:36:54]>> You're sad.

[02:36:56]Do you think that it will show on your face?

[02:36:58]>> No.

[02:37:07]>> Also, you travel all this time. Now you come, you're looking all distraught, all disheveled.

[02:39:20]She wasn't Christian or Adventist.

[02:39:23]>> She wasn't a good friend.

[02:39:26]>> She was someone I knew.

[02:39:28]I went to her.

[02:39:31]>> You know what she said when she saw me?

[02:39:35]She said, "Edit your problems because I can see it all over your face."

[02:39:39]That makes me understand.

[02:39:43]I had a capital P in my face that said pain.

[02:39:52]She said, "I can see the problem in your face.

[02:39:56]When I explained it to her, she went across the street from her house."

[02:40:03]She had a house.

[02:40:07]She know I have no money.

[02:40:10]She negotiated with the person.

[02:40:15]She The person told her she could have the house.

[02:40:18]But how much are you going to pay me?

[02:40:21]She paid the money that they asked for me.

[02:40:25]And she said when I get back on my two feet, I can pay her back.

[02:40:31]And that allowed me to have somewhere to stay.

[02:40:34]There are good people, brothers and sisters. There are still good people around.

[02:40:42]Haiti is facing some problems which makes you think that good people don't exist anymore.

[02:40:50]>> But good people still exist.

[02:40:55]>> Ruth told Naomi, "I'm standing with you.

[02:40:57]I will be with you."

[02:41:00]>> And she said she will do it till the end.

[02:41:05]She said, "If I don't do it, >> death can take me away.

[02:41:12]Because only death will separate me from you.

[02:41:18]>> Today you have every reason to say nothing will separate you from the love of God.

[02:41:25]>> Poverty will not separate you.

[02:41:29]>> Tribulations will not separate you.

[02:41:33]Nothing will separate you >> because after rain >> is the sunshine.

[02:41:46]>> There's good time that is away in Naomi and Ruth.

[02:42:25]They want things to go smoothly, but they don't want to work.

[02:42:31]And when things are going good for people who work hard, the first one complaining are those lazy people.

[02:42:50]It's a big problem even in society right now.

[02:49:39]So imagine how hard it is when a husband dies and leave a kid in the care. You're going to go through a lot.

[02:49:48]When you're a widow and you have a kid, it's not easy.

[02:49:53]>> While I'm speaking of widows, a lot of us are husband and I dead, but it's like we're widows.

[02:50:04]>> Your husband's not dead, but we're living like widows.

[02:50:08]Why?

[02:50:12]Because we we are raising a bunch of kids by ourselves without fathers.

[02:50:20]And you know what is messed up about it?

[02:50:24]While you're raising those children by yourself, a lot of eyes are on you.

[02:50:30]They're watching you.

[02:50:34]They say single parent kids raised in single parents house are never good.

[02:50:48]>> Because the example you give the kid, they'll take it.

[02:50:59]Even if they leave the church, they know God.

[02:55:46]>> When you're faithful to God, >> you will be faithful to others.

[02:55:51]When you're faithful to others, what happened in Naomi's life, it will happen in your life.

[02:56:02]You will always find someone to stand with you.

[02:56:06]Even if you can't find someone to stand with you, the angels of the Lord will stand with you.

[02:56:15]>> So my wish for you, >> my men, I didn't forget you, my wish for you, brothers and sisters, um, hug God with perseverance. Embrace Embrace God with perseverance.

[02:56:40]>> When you're in difficult times, have faith.

[02:56:46]>> Do not lose your faith.

[02:56:48]>> Because faith, it's the key that opens all doors.

[02:56:55]When you have faith, you don't talk bad about God.

[02:57:00]When you have faith, everything that happens, you're happy.

[02:57:06]When you have faith, even if you have no idea where you're going, >> you still keep going.

[02:57:15]>> Because you know, when you get out of the valley, you will reach the mountains.

[02:58:20]I know that God had blessed you. You said it with such confidence and such assurance. I know that every one of us got something from the message today and I pray that we can apply it to our lives. We want to take this time to thank you so much for coming here for our women's day.

[03:05:05]And then there was another woman named Ruth. She was from the land of Moab.

[03:05:12]And she was met with grief and heartache.

[03:05:18]She was a widow and she lived with her mother-in-law who was also a widow.

[03:05:25]And now it was time to move on.

[03:05:29]But Ruth had never been to Bethlehem.

[03:05:32]She had never tasted of the house of bread.

[03:05:38]But now she had heard an inner invitation to come and taste and see.

[03:05:43]And so she vowed herself to her mother-in-law and said, "Where you go, I will go. Where you lie, I will lie.

[03:05:48]Where you die, I will die." And she begins a journey to the promised land.

[03:05:57]She's traveling through the desert.

[03:06:04]and she's leaving her.

[03:06:11]She's hoping for a future lead.

[03:06:25]And he says, "I will put ring around your finger and I will be born for you to free the world from s again And then from Ruth who gave birth to a son, Oed who gave birth to a son, Jesse who gave birth to a son named David. Now this same once shepherd boy, mighty warrior, anointed king is alone, terrified in the darkness.

[03:07:27]He's hiding in the desert.

[03:07:34]He's battling despair.

[03:07:41]David thinks his life is over.

[03:07:45]It's over and he doesn't care.

[03:07:55]God says I will be the rock of your salvation.

[03:08:05]I'll hold you up by the strength of my right hand and the power of my spirit will free you from all fear in the hour of your deepest need. You'll find that I am near.
