When patching drywall holes, the repair compound may separate if mixed with too much water, which is a normal characteristic of drywall materials; the compound should be allowed to dry out before application, and proper application involves using appropriate tools like nail guns or hammers to secure trim and patching materials, with the final result requiring sanding and painting to blend seamlessly with the surrounding wall surface.

Artcast- Velma's Sister Raids her ClosetAdded:
Ah, hello. Welcome to another art cast today. This is an old one. A lot of these older ones I have to go through and comb through my archives to see if I've actually done an art cast of. I don't think I've done one of this. I'm almost certain. This is uh Velma Dinkley's little sister in her outfit from Scooby-Doo 2, not Velma's outfit from Scooby-Doo 2.
Um, yeah, this is a commission. Hello, Condor. How you doing? Uh, this is a commission and it's it's crossing the streams a little bit in terms of just Scooby-Doo uh continuity.
They kind of played it fast and loose with those movies. Oh, this is good. It separated overnight. That's great. Um, but anyway, yeah, it's fairly just, you know, it it is what the tin says.
Scooby-Doo's uh I mean uh Velma's little sister who totally has existed for most of the uh most of the franchise totally existed and wasn't just made for that one movie. Um a lot how many other Scooby-Doo characters have like brothers and sisters that show up like once? There's uh there's Daphne's sister who was upset that Halloween was on her birthday.
in one of the Scooby-Doo specials.
Uh Freddy's never had a brother or sister.
Oh, this is perfect. Oh, this is perfect. Um like Scooby-Doo's had like cousins and brothers and stuff, especially in the uh in the cartoon, a pup named Scooby-Doo.
Today's little um chore or project is I'm patching up some holes in the back of my um mom's closet. She's once again contracted me into doing a little project and I'm patching up some I'm doing some drywall basically.
And there was this mud yesterday that I mixed up. It's still not quite as thick as I want it to be, but it's better than it was yesterday.
Oh, this is good.
If I could separate out the There was too much water. I think my uncle Oh, no. Oh, no. This is totally slopping off my my patching tr Okay. Uh, hold on.
Damn it.
How do I Okay, let me just look up.
I need that to dry out or separate some more. Uh I think when he was putting this into storage, he added a whole bunch of water. I did not know this. And mixed everything together and now it is very liquidy, but it seems to be separating quickly, which is a good thing, a normal thing that happens with drywall materials. Hello. Hey, fantastic.
Doctor Who novels. Black Orchid. That's good. Scooby-Dum and Scooby D. Yes, that one episode where they were trying to date their cousin.
Kissing cousins, I believe it's called.
I don't know what that ex means exactly, nor do I care to look it up.
I think it has something to do or implies that they are cousins by marriage and not by uh genetics.
Anyway, this is going to be a pain in the butt. Now, it wasn't this.
It wasn't this far away.
Just move this from there to there. Oh, well, whatever.
Let's see.
Yeah, that's actually pretty good. I'll let this dry out a bit.
Smells like garbage.
Okay, I'll get that ready. What I need to do is uh put in some edging or some trim first, which is not ideal because she chose one with a contour that goes in and not out.
But I think I'm just going to cheat and use a staple gun.
I should be using like nails or I should be using That's horrid. Uh, let me turn this around so the white's showing.
So, when you look in, she's got rounded trim up on this side, but she wanted one that with contour that goes in. So, that's what we're doing.
Um, and we don't have to. It's again hidden.
We don't have to be super duper polished about it. So, I think I'm going to try this nail gun first cuz I don't want to be using hammers.
Did it do it?
It did not.
Are there any in here?
Oh, this is the wrong damn nail gun.
Poop.
Uh, which one? Scooby-Doo watched by by Max with Elvirus, Scooby-Doo, and Scarecrow. Oh, yeah. I heard about that one. I haven't watched it yet. I should put that on one of the weirdest episodes. Um, wasn't there one where uh like it it it bridged the continuity between um the 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo with Vincent Price and bridged it with by including Velma and uh yeah, Velma and um Fred were also involved in this adventure and like it showed uh you Now, it was again not horribly fused to like actual continuity, but just played with it a little bit by showing Daphne in a badass like suit.
Hold on one second. I got to get the the real uh Okay. So, there was one with um I think the one you're talking about, the one with Alvara and Uh, the one with Ovra and Bill Nye and Scarecrow. That might have been, you know what?
That might have been the movie, the um the sort of TV movie for that one season of uh What's New Scooby-Doo. Not What's New um Guess Who Scooby-Doo? The one with all the where they re try to redo guest stars and everything.
made a lot of questionable choices like uh Richard Rick uh Ricky Jer.
Okay, that didn't that was suboptimal.
So now I got a big staple here and it didn't drive through the um it did not drive through the the the thing. So unless I tighten this.
Does that make it go through?
Oh, damn it. What the hell is this? She put her shoe rack back.
I just popped my heel.
Okay, here we go. Come on, baby. Please save me some time.
Nope. Okay, screw it. Got to nail it in.
Oh no.
Um, so yeah, that may have been the end of the TV movie. I definitely know. Um, that one also featured basically uh is Velma's official coming out as either by or as either um by or pan or whatever.
Yes. uh Hocus Pocus or uh Abrica Scooby or something like that. And I don't mean to be like whatever as disparaging. I mean I'm focused on other things right now.
And also again that would probably fluctuate between between from fluctuate from writer to writer.
American Cancer Society thrift store. Oh, that's wonderful. Stop licking my legs.
My dogs. What do you want? Oh, they're interested in what I'm doing.
I see. So, they're like, "What are you doing? Why are you doing this? This is not your usual thing.
You don't go in here.
No, I do not. My Well, actually, no.
I've been in here. I work. I've cleaned up the whole house.
Okay. So, hopefully I can hammer this in. It's at a extremely weird shitty angle to the door and the frame and everything.
My wrist will be or my whole arm will be cramped in. But if I can hammer these in, then I'll be fine. The alternative is I drill little holes and then hammer those through.
But I think Oh, okay. That's beautiful.
Okay.
No, that was just me. Dum dums.
Well, that's still good. Volunteering.
Still volunteering.
Uh getting back to Oh, yeah. Um which actually uh um El Condor uh your name was uh Pina for a while, right?
Okay. Okay. Well, anyway, uh Condor, um you both got condors.
I'm going to call you Passa. Anyway, Passa. Um yeah, it was a pretty good movie. It was part of that whole um I don't know exactly what run you would call it. It's the one that sort of started with um I think the Terasaurus.
Let's see what was in that run. You had the terasaurus. Maybe maybe maybe uh the abracadabra de was uh that's what it was. Maybe that one was the first one.
But then you have the terasaurus. The one where uh badass Oh, that's going to look adequate there.
Do I have to hammer it this way into this? Should I be hammering it into this or hammering into that?
Cuz that did hit nothing.
Oh boy. Okay, this is fine.
Uh that's the one where show badass uh Shaggy came from.
Pardon me. The part of him being like ultra instinct and such.
Oh, let's see. And then you have the weird one which was the the swamp uh the swamp music or the swamp musical with vampires which actually opened up beautifully with a song by uh Jim Cummings I believe.
I was going to say, was it around the same time or was it before the frog princess? Before he played um the ladybug, not ladybug, uh the light night lightning bug.
Okay, here we go. Come on.
Yeah, the uh the angle and the the actual no.
>> Yeah, it's making a little bit difficult, but we're doing it.
So he had that one. Oh, he had the one where the camp, which was I I think is considered like the best one and the most Scooby-Doo version or the most like closest actual Scooby-Doo as they go. They don't play around with things like by making a musical, introducing any uh any they don't make it musical. They don't introduce any weird relatives. They don't also alter the personality of any one of the main characters. Also, it's just generally like a really good mystery. It's about a under underwater um you know, it's a campsite, but there's a dam nearby and there's a town that got uh flooded by the damned construction. It's a ghost town. It's an underwater ghost town, which is like such a good premise.
And of course, cartoons visited it at first before a movie did. There was a um there was a a POV movie.
Hold on. I'm having trouble here.
There's a um you know POV movie about uh under underwater uh divers visiting like a cold water diving port. It was like a ghost town.
I forget what it was actually.
I forget what the movie was actually called, but anyway, Scooby-Doo did it first.
Oh, these. Okay, these walls are crooked as hell. I could Yeah. Yeah, I may actually go and uh cut this edge a little bit to match just so it's not wonky.
Hello.
Um, getting back to the actual uh meat and potatoes of what's going on on your screen. I'm just very loosely going from a, you know, 3D model that I made a long time ago.
Yeah. Like this is version again living with grandma. This must be version three. I have them. I have every model that I've ever made and rigged. This one's not too bad. I could go through the shoulders need some more extra geometry now. I would cut where that diamond that corner is. I would add another loop there and there to give it way more geometry.
Uh the knees are not pretty are pretty good. and the pelvis.
I could maybe redirect that to make a little bit more of a uh a little bit more of a sharper connection in between the thighs and the gap.
Um but anyway this was just a exercise in seeing well can I just can I just like draw from from reference by using vector which means I don't have to like redraw every line again and again and again. Um this this piece is not not my favorite but it's definitely a good experiment.
Anyway, back to the wall. Back to the closet. Who Who's doing that now? I fed the turtle.
Is he trying to get in?
Ah, that's probably what they were barking at. Go on, Babs. I fed you.
Wow.
Does he need water? No, I fed him. I fed him all his things. He gets He got plenty of water, right? Well, this is not like an underwater civil. This is like maybe a hundredyear time spans. I mean, people are still visiting it from it's also um I believe Dan Olsen mentioned a different sort of like a a very similar town when he was visiting his lake to prove that the uh earth was round.
There we go. Okay, this is good. This is good.
Um, in which the dam was built, like several dams were built. One dam was built and then another better dam was built and then a third better dam was built and it just kind of as people moved away, that's when um, you know, the waters the waters swallowed up what was left of their towns.
Okay, this is annoying. Okay, here we go.
Uh Oh. Uh, we found um I was going to say it's been a while since I did one of these. Uh the turtle that the that we found, the one that we sort of adopted for a little bit. Um turns out it belongs to our next door neighbors.
it actually belongs to a very young child. So, she was very happy to get it back. And um sure enough, when they were describing the turtle to my mother, they said um they mentioned the very distinctive uh chip that she had on her lower plate, the one that you know that uh the one below her head. There's a plate that kind of sticks out. And um when turtles stick their heads into their shell or tortoises stick their heads into their shells and then put their arms up, it forms like a perfect seal for their defensive barrier. And uh yeah, described it perfectly. And we've got the the turtle is now in its own home, which is a much more happier ending than us driving out to the middle of the the um the weird tortoise sanctuary that they told us to take them to. The only thing that was stopping us was the fact that it was such a long drive. It was going to be a whole like afternoon.
But Babs gets his home again.
And hopefully we don't have any little turtles down the line or tortoises.
Okay, I need to press this up against here.
Oh, sorry.
Again, this is a very tight confining configuration for me.
Get in there.
All right. Very nice. I could put in a little bit of cocking between all this this little space.
Oh, no.
clicked over the the box of nails.
Okay, I'm almost done with this and I can check what you guys are saying.
Oh, come on.
Oh, this closet is one of the beans of my existence. This used to be my room when I was in high school, which is kind of insane. It used to be mom and dad's and then they moved out of it. And then it was Blake and Mi's.
And then Blake wanted his own room. And then so he got the spare room.
So, for a while I ended up with the biggest room in the house.
Ironically, I wasn't doing any filming at that point.
Here we go. And one more at the bottom and then we are done.
Very nice. I'm going to cut side of that off a little bit.
Come on. No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm caught. I'm stuck.
Okay. One. Okay. Here. Okay. I'm out.
I got to hammer this last nail from a really weird angle.
Come on. Get in there.
Get in there.
There. That's fine. There we go.
Okay. Um, yeah, that's done.
Return of the M.
Clark is here. He's watching people.
Clark. Clark is the name of your um Oh, yeah. Jason's coming to Yeah. sadly rip Friday the 13th the game. I guess they're officially closing that. Are they at closing or not?
Hello worms.
Hello cage.
He's the corgi. Oh, I love corgis.
Is there any outlet here that I could just use?
No. No outlet. Huh? I think there's one here, but we don't use it. Okay, so I got to get an extension cord.
Return of the Mac.
Oh.
Okay.
Let's see what else is going. Oh, yeah.
Our garden's doing great. We've got a bunch of summer squash. They're not quite ready yet.
Mom wanted me to jump the gun and see when to uh cut this one.
Um, they say if they're about anywhere between six and 8 in long, then they're ready.
Um, I don't know if this one's actually, you know what, this one might be ripe.
I just been doing all sorts of research.
Um, they say if you can like pluck it or pick it with your thumbnail, and I can with this one, it might be okay. Actually, it's starting to turn yellow as we speak.
It was pale. Um, it was very pale white when it was on the plant, but after I cut it this morning, the little uh bulbs are starting to smooth out and turn yellow. So, maybe that's just what happens. Either that or it's just a bumpy variety like a a crook neck.
Um, but okay, this is fine. It's it's white. It's tender and it's got, you know, it's got the waxy skin. I knew some of them weren't ready because they were still like fuzzy.
It was It's so weird to like touch a squash and then get like this fuzzy feeling because it's still it's the uh it's going from, you know, the uh the stem to the uh plant or the fruit.
And the stems on squashes are very prickly, very hairy.
So, I know that much about squash.
Anyway, that's fine. We'll chop that up and eat it tonight. Um, I also um my Brussels sprouts didn't come in. Looking on the back of the package, it says you need like super special uh you need to like actually grow them on their own as little seedlings first and have this uh special stuff.
So, I was like, "Okay, no wonder they didn't come in." So, I just uh planted more pumpkin seeds from the uh pumpkin I had last year. And boy, did they take they're taking off.
I'm I'm going to have to cut two or three of them back and then nurse the other two and then see if I can grow some pumpkins this year for Halloween.
The okra has kind of stalled, but the uh tomatoes, the peppers, and the well, we have two peppers. Uh sweet peppers and sweet peppers and banana peppers.
They're doing good. They're growing new fruit.
Uh we also did an experiment that she learned online or learned from somewhere. Uh take a a romance. Um, we have both iceberg and uh uh John Romero uh lettuce and um and we just planted those in the ground.
And um the Romano lettuce took off almost like a day later. The iceberg lettuce is showing a little bit of life, but it took a little while longer.
Um but yeah, and uh we uh we feed the Romano lettuce to uh Babs.
So, either one of two things is going to happen. Either we're going to plant more of that or his food and he will be able to eat it. Or two, he's going to break into the garden and just decimate everything because I already caught him eating the uh pumpkin leaves, which I was looking it up online. It says it's fine. It's as an occasional treat. You can give it to them. You're supposed to feed him like the other stuff we've been feeding him.
I'm not even sure if uh Romano lettuce is good for him. They specifically said like collar greens was good for tortoises, but tortoises also just eat damn anything. They eat grass.
All right, we're going to let the dice roll and see where that comes of it.
Return of the M.
Um, Yeah.
Uh ah been enjoying the books. What books?
Are you talking to me or or I think Condor is the one in the book club or is that Cage?
Huh?
Return.
Oh my god.
Okay. Uh, I'm going to check that that plaster.
See if it's actually any good again. Just trying to dry it out.
Um, so maybe I should put this in the sun.
Yeah, let me try that. It's so viscous.
Let's see if that does anything. Oh, Babs is right here.
He's just sitting underneath the table.
Hello, buddy.
I'm going to put this right here and see if that dries it out.
I'm going to do the same thing with the bucket.
That's too much water. Damn it.
I should have known, but then I didn't know. I thought the whole thing had like separated.
Anyway, let's see if that evaporates some of the water off of it.
So then I can use it, guys. I'm going back in. Come on.
Or you could stay out there. You're fine.
They instantly got outside and wanted to sunbathe, so I guess it's good for him.
Okay, you can stay out there and play.
Chance is just looking at me like, "What's going on? What are you doing?"
Okay, he's sad. He thinks I'm leaving him. I'm not leaving you.
Come on, Shadow. Come on in. Not you.
Come on, folks. Shadow.
Shadow, come on in.
Not you, Babs. You got to stay outside.
Your poops are too nasty.
Actually, they're not horribly Well, actually, yes, they are. They just dry out quick like horrible like green slime until they like dry out in the sun because they're mostly grass.
Um, whenever I hear Return of the Mac, I think of the Burger King parody.
Oh, I was going to say uh um uh Jack Art uh posted a video where it was like return of the Mac, but he's like returning a Macintosh computer to the uh store.
Yeah, the critic.
Oh, 2003. That's okay. That's an interesting little uh uh calculations.
Okay, just stop this this yellow fiber falling apart.
There we go. Get rid of that.
Okay. While that tries to like dry out to the point where I can use it, I can just scrape some of this stuff.
Uh, actually, she did a good job. She scraped it herself, huh? Okay.
Um, what else? Oh. Oh, I know what I wanted to do. I wanted to trim that.
Okay, this is going to get a little loud.
Just for like a split second, I'm got a uh a plunge cutter here. I'm going to trim the side of this uh this wood so it matches the frame. In fact, you know what? You guys don't even need to listen to this. I'll put you down on the bed.
There you go.
Fire.
There we go.
Make it nice and smooth.
And just cap little bit of this like a centimeter off of it. Wait a centimeter what I think it is.
16th of an inch there. There we go.
Yeah, like 1/16th of an inch off.
Yeah, Velma had a sister. Um, uh, Africa could ever do. Thank you.
Ever could ever do um a series of sort of uh movies that uh played a little bit fast and loose with uh some continuity. They were mainly like straight to home movies.
They were straight to home movie, but of course they always premiered on like Cartoon Network, so they might as well have been TV movies.
Um, I was going to say who was it featured a brother a a a magician and his brother was one of the backup and his brother was played by super nerds Patton Oswald and uh he played New uh Newton on um Symbiotic Titan.
Oh crap. Okay. Well, one of you guys will get it. Um but yeah, which is actually a pretty good run. Um there was a point where I went from like TMS, like you know, zombie island. Um and then it like dro like it got weird for a while.
Like I think the one TV movie that is like the lowest rated is um something the ghost of Mexico or something and that was like almost like that weird TV animated uh TV animation quality that ran with Guess Who? Scooby-Doo.
Um, and then it was just like, well, okay, whatever. I guess the Scooby-Doo is like, uh, and then you have like, uh, what's new Scooby-Doo or Guess Who Scooby-Doo or what's what's it Scooby-Doo? The one that was, um, done by the guy who did Shaolin Showdown.
Um, I was like, okay, I guess Scooby-Doo's Scooby-Doo for a little while again. And then they did uh Scooby-Doo and the Goblin King, which was like, "Oh, oh, this animation is like really weird."
Like, okay. Um, it's kind of got a little bit left over from from like what's new Scooby-Doo, but it's it's it's got some spice to it. Um, and then it sort of went into like with the redesigns and of that whole that line from say Abracadabra Scooby-Doo to the last one in that run might have been Oh, the last one I remember watching was the musical one with the vampires.
And then I think that art style was sort of like revamped a little bit for uh Guess Who? Scooby-Doo. The one that uh was supposed to be um oh uh the new guest star show.
Oh, I know which one was the last one.
It was the the uh the talent show one.
It was either the talent show one or there was one they did for with with the crossover between um Blue Falcon where they brought Blue Falcon back.
Okay, so I need to I want to [ __ ] this a little bit.
Do I have any good cocking?
I have this silicone cocking, but it's for silicone cocking waterproof baseboard molding and trim. Okay, this is good. This is fine. She was going to use this for the back of her sink, but I don't think that's that's appropriate.
100% waterproof seal. She baseboard.
Yeah. Okay. Yeah, she could use this for the back of the sink, too.
Let me uh stick a nail in here and get the gunk out.
Are you a fan of Goo? Googie. Uh, who's I'm trying to think about Googie? Googy was um Googy was the reluctant werewolf, right?
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, um, what did, uh, Hannah Barbara call those movies? The big the big eight. the Super Eight, which was a uh a series of TV specials that were supposed to like um like revitalize some of the old stuff.
I think it started with um the Huckleberry Hound, the uh the one where he was a cowboy, which I used to rent that all the time from this um this video store, Superstar Video Store.
Okay, good. Good. We got some uh we got some, but it's still in there.
Okay, I got to clean the gunk out some more. Um anyway, I think uh the No, maybe the Reluctant Werewolf wasn't part of that series. I know that uh the Boo Brothers and uh the ghoul school was.
The Reluctant Werewolf may have came afterwards. Anyway, yeah, she's she's cool. She's weird.
Did they ever bring her back for anything?
And then in Boo Brothers, it was the hillbilly or the uh Yeah, not the hillbilly, but the uh Well, yeah, hillbilly girl.
I like Boo Brothers even though uh Shaggy's ancestry has questionable morals.
Is my twin brother. Oh, damn it. [ __ ] They have a uh a boss hog like villain.
The Blue Brothers is such a weird thing because it's like them trying to like recreate like the Stooges but their own. And of course, uh uh Rob Pollson is one of the Boob brothers, the one with the aviator hat.
Okay, let Let's see.
Beautiful. Beautiful.
I guess I should go on the other side, too. But I don't know. I'm going to have to put some more plaster on this side so I think it'll blend in.
I just want to make sure that people don't turn around and see a big gaping hole in the back here.
Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh my. My leg's cramping. Oh. Oh. I got it like wrapped around a pillar. Oh. Okay.
Okay. Come on.
Okay.
Take a little more and this this little project will be done.
Now I got that hole fixed.
Okay, I'm just plugging up holes at this point.
Oh no, I left a huge bead right here.
Okay, I got to scrape that off.
That wasn't uh the cocking. That was uh the patchwork yesterday.
That's okay. You can shave it down.
Puppy power.
Okay. Come on. Come on. One more. One little squeeze. There we go.
Again, you can't see me, but I'm basically working upside down.
Okay, here we go.
Oh, wow. My knee just like gave an ungodly pop. Okay.
Uh, let's see.
Get rid of this.
Okay, very good.
All right, gone.
Uh, let's see what we got.
Uh, oko is canon gold school or gold school canon KO. Who knows?
Scoo scream con. Yeah. [ __ ] I don't know.
What did I stab myself on?
Or did I? No. I guess I didn't scratch myself that bad.
Looking at my pile of drawings. I have all drawings.
Ah, yes.
I'm trying to think what else he did other than Jimmy and also the mouse.
Not Jimmy. Uh, Sheen.
I need a sanding block, which I thought I saw one.
around here somewhere.
Oh, this is way better.
Oh, I'm using this cheap yellow stuff.
This is way better. It's got It actually sticks to the wall.
Oh, yeah. This one is called fiberglass tape. Yeah.
Well, this one's self sticking.
The other one's not.
Okay, I'm going to use this. I'm going to bring this out.
Most of the work is done, but there's one other little thing I could do. One little patch in the corner, and this will be very much appreciated.
Uh, snip snap.
Oh, he sees Crystal. Oh, really? Cool.
I was going to say it's uh I didn't um quite catch him there. I mean, it makes sense, but he's doing a much deeper voice, much uh not as uh goofy as uh Sheen.
You cook around on the roast like a steak.
It's pretty good. I give two thumbs up, homie.
There's also the idea of like uh uh Julius Caesar and uh Jesus being on like good terms.
Careful with that nail gun, Jesus.
One second. I got to go and look for something else out in the garage. I'll be right back.
Okay, I'm back.
Sorry, I got uh distracted.
by uh by some doggo stuff.
We've started watering the lawn to get the lawn back alive in order to get uh get um Booker to quit rolling around in it and getting dead grass all over his body.
Um, is this stuff okay to use now? Uh, yeah, a little bit.
Throw a little bit on there.
It's not great. Oh, also I figured out what that rotten smell was. It's mold.
It smells like mold, which maybe I shouldn't be putting this on the wall then, but it just totally makes sense because it's uh been sitting out there. It's water.
Well, it smells like it. I don't know.
Yeah. Again, I'm leaving the bucket out there in sun.
This stuff did not uh dry out as much as I hope it would, but I want to get this done.
And at this point, I'm just patching up holes. So, this is actually good for what I want it to do.
not leave much of an impression on the uh on the wall itself, but fill in the holes.
I was going to say I didn't stream when I I I uh patched the foundation.
That was early in the morning. Mom wanted to come out and with me, so I was like, "Okay, well, I'm not going to set up everything." But, uh, you know, it took about maybe 30 minutes. So, that wouldn't have been a huge chore anyway.
Just uh using some foundation patching to like get in some fill in the space between the uh the concrete of the the the driveway and the uh the basically the wall of the um house.
Losing my mind.
Okay, that's good and patched.
And then I'm going to paint all this anyway. So, Turn of the M. Oh my god.
It's like a birthday cake except the birthday cake is your house.
Let's see. Was there anything up here I needed to do?
Not really. That one's done.
It's just this. This is where a uh you guys can't see it, but this is where a uh a shelf used to be. A series of shelves in the closet. And we uh we took them out to give us easier access to this one corner.
Well, I did and mom wanted it easier access.
Come on. No.
Oh, there's the patch I wanted to use.
Pick up this. What is this?
Okay, there we go.
And one thing you could do after this is take a wet sponge and kind of clean your edges up, smooth them out, like blur them like if you were going to do with uh, you know, digital art or paint, you know.
But this should be fine. It'll uh it'll dry white. We'll paint it white.
Uh yeah, I'm going to get a patch. Hold on.
Return of the Mac. Oh my god. Return of the Mac.
Okay. See you, Thomas.
Nickelodeon Dice of Destiny. Oh, that was his last one. That sucks. Oh, I forgot I did two two different versions of this. Uh, one with her hair down, one with her hair up in her ponytails.
Um, there's that one dice game that uses physics for dice rolls. That seems interesting to me.
Ruin dice or something. Not ruin. Ruin.
Ruin.
Come on.
Okay. Uh, build these holes.
Oh, come on.
Uh, okay. That's looking okay.
I got to let that dry and then put another layer on it.
Other than that, maybe sand a few things here and there.
Other than that, I think it'll look pretty good.
There's one spot up there. Okay, hold on.
Okay, come on. Come on. I got I got stuff on my hands, so I got to work with my elbows to get up. Okay, here we go. Good. Yeah.
Okay, up here. Got to smooth this out.
Oh, this was This is old. Okay.
Yeah, that's old. That's not my work.
Um, pretty darn good. I need to hammer these nails in a little more.
I don't know when that happened.
Don't flip around on me.
Okay, here.
That's good. That's about as much as I can do today.
Maybe a little bit more this afternoon once uh that first layer dries.
It would drive faster if I wasn't using this water log stuff, but you work with what you got.
You go to war with what you got. Um, yeah. So, here I am just using the two.
I think I literally start shading one and then move the shading over to the other.
Uh, how do they get Well, I mean, Jesus is just like it it's a joke on um it's a joke on the fact that the uh we have a large Mexican population that goes by the name Jesus.
And of course, they don't pronounce it Jesus, I believe. Who was it? Fluffy uh was like the one that was like there was one time someone you know like he was making fun of white people and he was like ain't that right? Jesus.
Um Seuss.
Uh, I believe the joke on Gravity Falls was is that Seuss, his full name was Jesus, and they would just call him Hey, Seuss.
And of course, that also led to a bunch of fan theories about how he would sacrifice himself and then how he was too pure for this world, which was fun.
didn't go anywhere but makes good fanion.
Return of Mac return of the Mac.
Okay. Um there's some holes there. Okay. I'll just I'll just shove some more goo on that.
Yeah, if this stuff were a little thicker, then it wouldn't show up. The uh the texture of the fiberglass filament or patch wouldn't show up.
But since we got to put on a couple layers of it, anything bad over there? Yeah, there is just a few holes here.
Um, I'm not going to use this goo. I'm going to use the cocking.
Beautiful. That is pretty.
And I can stick in some texture. I got some texture spray, some drywall texture spray. You spray it, it makes big globs. And then when you let that sit for a little bit longer, it gets thick and you can uh then you can sort of manipulate that.
You're not looking for a splatter effect, which is on some walls. You're looking for like a smoothed over clumpy islands.
islands, faces, ink blotss, that sort of thing.
You know what? I was a little too hard on myself. This one doesn't look too bad.
Maybe it's just the hands, which are always the weakest part.
Uh yeah, there we go. Let's uh let's stick this in a little bit.
Turn on the map.
Oh, that's an old one. That's just a loose hammer. That's just a loose nail in the original floor trim.
There we go. Shoot.
Okay.
Uh, speaking of fan crazy fan theories, much as Stephen Y learned about the whole claim that the edgy crystal gem named Bloodstone, a claim or an actual like real life thing like some one of the names.
They're starting to sell ices or icy machines.
Um, we were walking by and they had a display for like your little icy maker.
20 bucks.
I'm thinking about getting some because and but they have all the flavors there.
They've got like raspberry, cherry, and then tiger's blood.
And I'm still trying I've heard of Tiger's Blood before. I've heard the Maroys say Tiger's blood, which makes me think that Tiger's blood is some sort of like maybe Eastern like Eastern American, not like Far East.
Uh, Tiger's Blood. Let's look up the history of Tiger's Blood.
At this point, it's more you are more likely to get correct information from a YouTube search than a Google search. So, let's let let's just take that gamble.
Uh, tigers blood.
I see.
Okay. So, what is tiger's blood?
Uh, no. These are actually tiger blood shaved ice.
No, that's just them making it. Looks good though.
No, like the small video essay.
Did they name Tiger Blood after that stupid? No. Charlie Sheen. No. No, they didn't.
Is it okay? Let's see. Do they name it after him? Is that why it's famous?
Or does he just say he really likes ices?
Blood is watermelon and coconut and strawberry. Okay.
Okay. Tiger's blood is okay. Wikipedia. Yay. Okay. Good for good on Wikipedia.
I got that stuff in my mouth.
Okay. Is a flavor shaped ice cones and other products.
Uh, contrary to the flavor's name, it does not contain any blood or anything from tigers. Well, thank you, Wikipedia.
I was so worried about that.
Now, go time to go check elephant ears and beaver tales because I'm four. Okay. Um, the flavor is a combination of strawberry, watermelon, and a small amount of coconut. So, just enough coconut to be like, "Huh, huh, coconut."
Um, there are other slight variations to the recipe, including substituting the uh strawberry for cherry. Uh, it is strongly associated with Hawaii and some think some of it think it's associated uh, however, from the text from it came from Texas in the 1980s.
Uh, let's see. consider um also like it's associated with heavily with Utah and uh South Carolina in 1977. The flavor was in Mississippi or Missouri at the New Orleans style.
Okay, so this kind of probably comes from like Missouri. It's probably been around for a while, but people, it's just been kicking around until people gave it a proper name.
Yes, exactly.
the one where uh Wendy from Gravity Falls calls Chris from Family Guy. Uh or he she tells him to come to mommy and the suit is very squeaky.
Have you heard the good news? Yeah, there's cookies.
I can't believe the guy that guy is in charge of like both shaped the Marvel universe and now is in charge of the DC universe.
Meline, that's what's her name. Hey tech.
Return of the Mac. Oh my god, the turn of the back.
Okay, time to start cleaning up a little bit.
She's going to play Pauline Vorhees. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's got good bits. I mean, the monster designs were fantastic. Um, yeah.
I'm trying to think of other things.
Weird how they were like Oh, yeah. They were always celebrities in that continuity.
Like it was uh what was where were they what were they at? They were at Britney Spears Chocolate Factory or something in the first one.
Oh yeah, spooky. Spooky space cook.
That was one of the more disappointing ones.
The cucka they had replaced. I mean, the slime one was pretty much, you know, they needed that for like the big, you know, slime thing can be anywhere, everywhere. Um, minor 49iner.
I don't know if they needed to go to the mines, I to find the the the spooky spooky uranium or whatever. The night in the castle, that makes sense. The uh the what's it? the uh the the the deep sea diver needed to come out of the thing. They never didn't they didn't go to like the uh they didn't go to the theme park, did they?
Also, the Scooby-Doo comics, the Scooby-Doo apocalypse would have been way funnier if uh if they had done like weird mutations of classic monsters instead of like I don't know supernatural like like where everyone was just mutants.
They tried to do a few things.
Like there was one mutant that uh controlled other mutants and tried to like make himself like a a giant body out of all the mutants fusing together for a little bit.
I don't know. Scooby-Doo Apocalypse was weird. People don't talk about Scooby-Doo Apocalypse enough. People don't talk about those weird DC comics enough.
Like you couldn't find like a furry a furry artist to like do the weird snaggle puss goes to Washington thing.
Oh, Captain Crawler Cutler. Is that the one? Yeah. He comes out of the lake. He pulls the chain to the car.
Um, the Flintstonones one was probably the best one because it was very much like, okay, what if we were doing like the Flintstones also mixing it with um Um, oh, uh, those were the days.
Um, that show with, uh, with Archie and like what if like you what if the Flintstones had discussed went down that road and actually discussed a bunch of things. Like, think about it. The Flintstones were actually around during like the first Vietnam.
So they would be like, "We committed genocide, Barney." That actually holds.
Yes. Yes. We took part in genocide, Bon.
Also the uh the concept of uh Kazoo watching them and um both sort of uh uh not young Bam Bams um Pebbles. Pebbles being like a young teenager uh kind of exploring like different like social makeups between science and uh uh religion with Gerald and how actually like the guy who was like running the it was like the most it was the nicest version of a cult you can ever think of or religion where it's like, "Hey, Gerald doesn't judge."
And then you have um God, why can't I think of names when I'm on a podcast? I could totally pull this out of my ass if I were just walking around, but like I'm on a podcast and for some reason I can't remember the apple pie science guy.
Oh, I'm I'm watching the whole series in my head right now.
Oh, I'm like reading the opening quotation of his book.
Uh, where he actually like quotes the Bible about the dust and it all becoming, you know, we're all stardust.
Oh, come on. Pull it out of your stupid brain. Um, it's right there.
What is this? Why?
Where? In order to create the universe, you must or in order to like create an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe.
Carl Sean, thank you. Thank you. Why Why did that like Why did that take Why was that such a like a a a clog? Why are names such clogs for me?
Um anyway, she goes to visit like uh their version of Carl Sean who's like explaining science and is like literally like showing them I think like at that point they still had like uh fossils of other specimens that came before them which is like you know probable but fictionally you know because they both had dinosaurs. and that and also just the arc with the boss and him trying to become a better person.
So yeah, pe uh that was the highest that's the high mark of all those weird comics I would say is the uh the Flintstones one.
Not so much Scooby-Doo Apocalypse and I was going to say did they ever do a crossover with with DC but they didn't.
Those were the Looney Tunes, the ones where they had to make sure that no one was horny for Bugs in the in her in his gray outfit.
So, they actually had to show another Bugs Bunny.
Like, there's this one thing where like Tempress Bugs. Let's see. We've got I think it was was Fud was after was after Batman and then Daffy shows up and then they had to show another Bugs because the whole thing was about them being uh led on by female Bugs.
So they were like, "Oh no, no, the Bugs isn't a crossdresser. No, you know, he's right there.
Yeah, right.
Uh, I can't sand this down because it's all still wet.
So, I'll put this up in the in the case.
I'll put this up.
There we go.
Let's see. Uh uh Doctor Who make out in the uh in the Flintstones comic. No, but you know, Halib Berry was uh used as one of the models for um oh, what was it? Wildsiders, which was a DC uh Wild Storm imprint, which was I mean was Wild Storm was an imprint of DC Comics and um Campbell um I forget his first name. Um yeah, Wild Siders was like a mix of like Power Rangers and like hologram. They would like they were like there there's this tech guy who was like using hologram technology to like scan and replicate different things. It was about giving um Halib Berry who was a a parapolgic um the ability to walk by giving her like hologram exoskeleton over her legs um so she could like walk around and be like, you know, oh this could help people. Um, and the the tech head guy who I think was supposed to be uh a maybe a combination of uh of Willard, speaking of Scooby-Doo, and maybe Seth Green.
Um, he would like make uh he made animal kind of uh body parts.
and like suits that you could like use, you know, like I think he was a he was a praying mantis. Um he gave two of his buddies um special suits that they could wear under their football uniforms so they could win a football match. The uh the quarterback, the pretty boy, he was a velocal raptor, which you know he's a nerd at heart. And the um Jack Black jock guy was literally like he like modeled him after Jack Black. And I don't know who the uh I don't know who that guy was. Um but Jack Black was a gorilla. It was fun. I haven't seen the whole thing. I know there's a uh there is a there is a paperback and looking back on it now. I picked it up like first year of college like I recently like got back into it. um like going through all my stuff. So I like looked through and thumb through it. I was like, "Oh, um there's a point at the end where there's a uh a Native American standing on a hilltop who has just seen sort of uh what these kids can do with their animal spirits."
And I'm thinking, "Oh, really? Are we we going down the are we going down the road of the sort of noble Native American who's like, "Oh yeah, you've tapped into like what we've been doing for years with like spirit animals and stuff." And I'm like, I'm going to have to actually read the whole thing, like the whole set. I know it's maybe like 12 issues. I think it ran for like one year. I don't even know if Wild Storm's still around.
Let me look that up.
Wild Storm.
Wild Storm is a production company, American comic book imprint.
It was formerly known as an independent established by Jim Lee, published through Image Comics. Later, it became a DC imprint in 1998. So, this was definitely by the time I was in my first year in college, like afterwards. Yeah. And it shut down in 2010. Okay, cool. Well, uh, it's got apparently the the universe, the Wild Storm universe includes Wildcats, Storm Watch, Gen 13, Wet Works, and The Authority. Oh, the Authority.
No, actually, I don't know what The Authority is.
What's wet works?
Something wet.
Oh, that is a two that is a 2000's ass artwork.
Like take the 90s with all the like over like belt buckles and and shoulder pads and [ __ ] and then add in like early 2000s Photoshop where the blacks are just way too black and the whites are just like way too well it's just everything's got too much of a sheen on it.
Um, apparently they did tie in tie-ins for Okay, actually, uh, X Machina was one of their better series and I remember people talking about that.
Uh, The Boys was de Okay, an imprint of uh, so The Boys, good for that. They had tie-ins with uh Gears of War, Resident Evil, Friday the 13th, The XFiles, Nightmare on Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, yada yada yada. Uh oh, that's where I heard uh America's Best Comics, which was Alan Moore's sort of attempt at like reconstructing like the American the comic mythos after he destroyed it.
Not destroyed it, but just like gave his spin on it and that became the basis.
and then everyone else wanted to copy what he was doing and then that ended up kind of like ruining mainstream comics for a little bit.
Uh yeah, no mention of uh Wildsiders. So Oh, Danger Girl by Jay uh J. Scott Campbell. There we go.
Yeah, I like his artwork. I mean, sure, it's like it's like pinup pinupy, but he does good character work.
Okay, so let's see. I need to put up Yeah, that's going to look good. That's going to look good.
Return of the Mac. My god. Return of the Mac.
Oh, okay. Yeah, there we go. We're just about done. You know what? I was a little bit harsh on myself. This doesn't look too bad.
This looks pretty much on point for the show. I was wondering.
Yeah. Yeah, that looks good. Okay.
I mean, not great, but not like Hey, Star Boy, have you seen um Here, let me just see if I can get the the the cartoon that I'm I'm referencing.
So that way my my my nonsense has context for you all. Uh there we go.
Um, this was by Rude Jack Art. No, come on.
Yeah, Rude Jack Art.
Who does great like like Smash Brothers stuff and of course is known for the Mario thing, the Mario memes.
I love the expressions.
I'm back up in the games.
Come on.
Oh my god. I'll be back. I'm back.
Is Linux good?
Yeah, me too. I had to like listen to it. It's pretty good.
No wonder it was like a sharp copper. Um anyway, I'm going to clean up what I got here. I got to put some of these tools back in the shed. Um yeah, you know what? Give me one hour and then I'm pretty sure Priscilla is going to do something over on that channel. We're going to work on some other stuff. Maybe the robo melody. See what we can get done with that. In the meantime, I thank you very much. Um, like I said, I'm going to clean up, maybe get something a little little something to nosh on and then uh we're going to get right back into another project. But in the meantime, that's a different that's a different sign off. I'm trying to go with until our paths meet again. I'll see you soon.
You take care. Bye.
