Durham high school holds mock crash as safety reminder ahead of prom

[00:00:00]Important reminder for students at Coginchaug Regional High School in Durham ahead of prom. A mock crash was held in front of the school on Pickett Lane. It's meant to simulate a drunk driving crash. This whole this whole week has been about making good choices.

[00:00:15]Uh, you know, not drinking and driving and stuff. And so, um, it was just a a good thing that we put together timing-wise that we end that, uh, project or end that week, you know, with with this kind of a a dramatic effect as we could.

[00:00:28]>> Student actors dressed up and played prom goers. Fire and EMT students, they worked with firefighters to treat the students who played the victims.

[00:00:37]Middlesex Hospital even took the actors away in an ambulance. Coginchaug tries to hold a mock crash every 2 years.
