Religious leaders, including priests and pastors, can be accused of financial crimes such as theft and embezzlement, and they must face legal consequences regardless of their position or claims of holiness; parishioners should exercise caution when entrusting financial matters to religious figures.

Catholic Priest arrested for stealing $160,000 from the Catholic Church | Richard StoreyAdded:
Hey, what's up, YouTube? This is Tony Harvin and welcome to my YouTube channel, Tony Harvin. And we back with another one. We back with another news story at hand. Now, this story is coming out of Kansas. Now, we got a priest who is accused, right, of stealing $160,000 from his own parish. Now, this guy right here that is on the screen is Richard Story. Richard Story, as we go to the news story at hand, it says "Deeply painful, right? Leawood priest arrested after allegedly stealing $160,000 from his own parish." As we goes to the news story at hand, it says "A former Leawood Catholic priest surrendered to police over the weekend accused of stealing $160,000 from his parish." It says "The Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas state, Father Richard Story turned himself into the Leawood Police Department on Saturday, May the 23rd, on a felony theft charge." It says "Story is accused, right, is accused of stealing funds from a Cure of Ars Church where he previously served as a pastor."
Now, they got him listed as a pastor, right? And on the other hand, he's stealing money. Just like a lot of these other individuals who claim to be a pastor, a priest, a deacon, or minister, or whatever the case may be. If it's not stealing, if it's not stealing money, if it's not embezzlement, they either doing that or they touching on kids and stuff like that, which is crazy. You got to be very, very careful when you go into these churches. Of course, the Catholic Church is a false church, but it's just not happening in the Catholic churches.
It's also happening so-called Christian churches, so-called Holiness churches, so-called Apostolic churches, so-called Pentecostal, Baptist, whatever you want to call it. You got individuals like him plotting, scheming on the people for their dollars, right? It says, "As of 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Story remains in Johnson County custody on a $25,000 bond. A court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, which is today, May the 26th. Formal charges have not yet been filed." So, here it is. You have an individual who's in a position as a Catholic priest or a pastor, whatever the case may be, and individuals put their trust in these people, right? One thing about churches in general, it doesn't matter what religion, there are a lot of vulnerable people in churches in general, and where is though they will open themselves up to easily trusting a person who deems themself as a priest, a pastor, or whatever the case may be. You may put a person in charge of, you know, something dealing with finances and stuff like that. You know what I mean? You may think this person is a good person, holy, trustworthy, whatever the case may be, but meanwhile, they're just putting on a show so they can plot, scheme, and steal the funds and money and stuff like that. And then when they get caught, some people still try to take up for these people. I mean, the comments that I've seen from uh the friends and their family members and stuff like that, only God can judge them. This, that, but was they saying that when this individual was stealing?
No.
Was they saying that when this individual was touching on underages?
No. At the end of the day, listen, if you do a crime, if you do a crime, you know, like Brian Coan, >> [laughter] >> you understand? You have to do the time.
You have to pay a price. None of that stuff is going to work with the judges.
None of that stuff is going to work with the prosecutors or the jury that wants to give these individuals time in prison. And for the most part, listen, pay that money back. Y'all let me know what y'all think about this story about this Catholic priest being arrested for stealing a hundred and sixty thousand dollars. And I'm pretty sure this is not going to be the last news story at all.
As I always state before, it's almost every week a so-called pastor, priest, or whatever in some type of church gets arrested for something either with stealing money or touching on under ages. I'm Tony Harvin of the Tony Harvin YouTube channel. Leave your comments in the comment section if you like. I'm out. Peace.
