FLAWLESS MAKEUP FOR BEGINNERS (step by step guide)Added:
Hello all. I thought it was officially time to do a beginners super super super in-depth makeup tutorial. I haven't done one in forever. It's busy recommending and reviewing products till we're just getting back to the basics today. And I just want to zoom in. I want to get up in my face and I want to show you step by step by step. If you're truly a beginner to makeup or you want some new tips and tricks, you're in the right spot cuz that's what we're doing today.
Be sure to subscribe to my channel if you haven't already.
Subscribe, subscribe, and give me a thumbs up if you're feeling extra generous, as I always say.
And let me stop wasting your time. And let's get into the video and talk about what we're going to be talking about.
First things first, I start every single makeup look with moisturizing my lips.
That way, when we get time to put on our lip products, which is going to be last, our lips are prepped and ready to go. I hate putting on lip products on my super dry lips. I'm just using this Gizu Honey Pot. And I'm just going to add a little.
And this product's pretty cool cuz it does look how moisturizing it gets.
I think I recommended this to you guys during the Sephora sale. I can't even remember. My Sephora order, by the way, just came in. Ty just walked up to the window and he held the box up and he was like, "Your order's in." And I was like, I want to get into that, but I'll do that after we film this. First, I'm going to start with the Anua. This is a hyaluronic acid spray. So, what it's going to do is lock in moisture without making my skin greasy or my makeup fall apart. So, I always just hit it. And a spray like this is really nice because you can use it before and after your skin care. You can use it throughout your steps of your makeup. You can use it to set your makeup. So, it's just a multi-use spray. You don't even have to shake it. And the little capsules burst and they leave your skin like so pretty glowy. Next, I do let that dry down and I go in with a little bit of moisturizer. I like a lightweight gelbased moisturizer, as you guys know, because heavy creams can separate your product. Also, if you have clogged pores or large pores, you might want to go with a lighter moisturizer. So, I like this one by Metacube. It's the PDRM pink collagen capsule cream. Very lightweight. And I just scooped out a little pink capsule. And look how they just Let me zoom in. Let me zoom in.
Look how they just burst and melt. The little capsules just melt into your skin. How crazy is that? So, if you want super glowy, moisturized skin, I'm doing my under eye because we're going to be adding some powders and it will dry out your under eye.
Literally, let's grab a little bubble.
Boop. Go ahead and mush that into my skin. Two dots of this is about efficient, but it just depends. I would use more if I was doing my skin care, but just for makeup, I'll do two dots and disperse that all over my face. So, we are super moisturized. Another thing is you do want this to kind of dry down.
So you want to give it a second. I would normally like do my brows or something right now while this dries down because if you go put makeup on top of it, it is going to be too heavy. So just give it a second. It will dry and absorb into your skin. Next step in your makeup routine would be sunscreen. You want to make this your last skin care step so it sits on top of your makeup. This one is by Biodance. This is SPF 50. This is a mineral sunscreen, but I do like how it melts into the skin. I think this is new from Bioance, by the way, but I've used it quite a few times, and I really enjoyed it. So, we're just going to add some sunscreen. This is a lot. It's a lot of skin care. So, just make sure the product you're using is not going to break you out. I do prefer mineral over chemical sunscreen. So, whenever I get a good mineral, you know, I'm in. BUT LOOK AT THAT. OH, LOOK AT THAT SKIN. She is ready. She is prepped. She is primed.
Okay, let's get into foundation. We're using the Maybelline SuperStay 24-hour skin tint. This is a longwear skin tint.
It wears a little bit more like foundation. That's why I'm going to use it today. I really like it. I think it's beautiful on the skin, but again, it is slightly more foundation-y than skin tinty, but nevertheless, it is stunning and it does wear very well. I'm using the shade 220. You guys always ask me about my shades cuz I know a lot of us have a similar skin tone. So, what I'm going to use is a brush. I always, since 13 years, I've been using a brush. I'm not much of a sponge girl because I feel like sponges pick up a lot of product.
So, I just like to disperse this and tap it around my skin. I always always always always I drag it down because the thing is you can look at my face and see because of the amount of sunscreen I'm wearing and protection and always having you know a little skin tint or something on my skin tone on my face is a lot lighter than my neck. So if I went with a foundation this color, this is going to look crazy. So I like to find something that just kind of blends in.
Like whenever we start to swipe down, look at that match. And then we'll go ahead and do the concealer. and all and it's really going to blend all together and look flawlessly. So 220 is my shade, but I like to just start dispersing a little bit of product. And then if you're like, "Okay, I need more coverage." Go back in and just add coverage to those specific areas that you need coverage. You don't always have to go in with a ton of foundation to get full coverage. You can just, you know, tap out a little bit and then go back in if you're like, "Oh, this cheek or this area needs just add a little bit more."
And that really will help your makeup not to get as cakey. I like to do the motion of tap tap tap tap tap. A little bit of swiping if I need to, but it really does create like this pretty airbrush finish for makeup. Also, if your under eyes get really really cakey, a trick is to not bring your foundation all the way up to your under eyes. I do because my under eyes don't really get that cakey. So, I don't have any problems with that. So, I'm okay with a little bit of foundation tapping into my under eye. But, that's just another layer of makeup. So, you could just do concealer. It will help lighten the load of the under eye. By the way, I am working out of the makeup bag that I took to New York cuz this is just some of my favorite products. And I wanted to recommend to you guys if you're like, I have super oily skin or my makeup always like starts to lift or it doesn't look good after a few hours. It gets into my creases. I'm going to tell you this Tier Tier Mask Fit Red Cushion Liquid Foundation. I'm in the shade 29 in natural beige. Okay, this is crazy. Like this stuff will stick to you like glue and it really is one of the only foundations where I'll look in the mirror hours later and my cheeks right here are not too shiny. Like it really locks me down without looking like cake.
So I do recommend this to you guys.
Okay, let's jump into concealer. Two of my favorite concealers I've been using for a long time. Both happen to be by Nars. So Nars gets a lot of love from me. So this is the creamy radiant. This is going to be a little more dewy, a little more not really serum like. It's more whipped, but it does provide a decent amount of coverage. I would say medium coverage, and I love it. So, this one is much thicker. This is also a matte finish. So, I like this one because it provides an enormous amount of coverage without a lot of weight to it, but it is still quite matte. So, I always start with this because I'm able to cover this darkness without a color corrector because this does such a great job. I always recommend this one to you guys during the Sephora sale, but I do fluctuate in the shades that I use depending on what time of year. This is light 26.
And I don't like to use a sponge with it because I do want to build coverage with my concealer. I'm like, "Girl, cover the bags. Cover the bags." So, you know, I like to build a little coverage. And sometimes I'll use my finger because I always want to blur this line here where concealer starts, foundation stops.
Concealer stops, foundation starts. I think I said that backwards. And then I take what's left on my brush to neutralize this redness in my eye and I just lightly tab. And this is going to not only neutralize and color correct our eye, it's going to create a wonderful base for our eyeshadow. So it's a double dip, it's a double dewy.
And I always bring my concealer on the side of my nose because I kind of have a little, this is more of a personal choice, but I have a little bit of a hump here. So, I'm pushing in right here, and it helps create get rid of that shadow there from the hump. I don't know if you can see, it's just like a little bit right there. And whenever I bring that concealer up, pause, it cuts out the hump. So, or like the shadowing, I should say. So, this is it for me. And then if I need extra coverage and I want to go crazy, I'll add a little bit of this one literally just on top. I don't really need it today, but I'm going to do it just to show you guys. Now, if you're like, I just want like a dot of concealer. I'm not into that much makeup. Just do this step and you can start by adding a little and just tapping it out. If you want it to have more coverage, just let it sit there for two to three minutes and it'll start to dry a little bit, but it'll get thicker and it will create a little more coverage. Not all liquid concealers are good about that. Some of them just dry down way too quick and you'll have a mess on your hands. But this one is really good at that. I also like to bump a little bit of brightening here and here. Gorgeous. As you can see the difference.
Yes, ma'am. And as you can see, that foundation looks really good in that shade that we picked with our concealer.
Just wait till we have blush, bronzer, all of it. It's just going to melt together. Another little step I'll do is I'll take that foundation brush that I originally used and I'll just tap cuz I want to soften that line between concealer and foundation so it looks a little more flawless. If you don't want to do heavy makeup, I recommend choosing your cream products and a translucent powder and skip the powder bronzer, skip the blush, powder, and do all the cream and let it melt through your light translucent powder that you'll set it with. Or skip the cream and stick with the powders only on top of your foundation, skin tone, whatever you're wearing. You don't have to do both. Both is like pretty heavy makeup. Anyone that's doing both, it's not light makeup. So, it just depends on what you want in your makeup look. I'm going to show you using both just so you can see.
But like I said, if you're just like, I don't need stage makeup. I'm just trying to get ready for work real quick.
Beginners babe, I'm getting ready to school. You don't need all these steps.
You really don't. You could do the dot of concealer, dot skin tan, and maybe a little cream bronzer, capiche, a faux freckle, a gloss, and go. So, I'm going to take sand by Rafi. This is their cream bronzer. I'm just going to load up a little kabuki brush. and you're going to bronze up the perimeters of the face.
Now, if you're wanting to reshape your face and do the contour and just suck the cheeks in, you're going to want to cool tone contour because that's going to create shadowing and that is going to define and create shaping on your face.
Bronzing, not as much. Bronzing is just going to give you that sun-kissed natural warm glowy look. And that's when we hit it around the perimeters, especially around the forehead cuz this is naturally where the sun would smack us right in the face if we were outside.
Like if you were going to get a little sun on your skin, it would start at the top of your forehead and then you can just tap it around the face just to warm yourself up the nose and just to kind of bronze you up, which looks so pretty.
I'm using a very light amount. This one can have medium to full coverage depending on how much you use. Clearly, I love it. It's by Rafi. Milani makes the dupe of this if you're interested in a more affordable cream bronzer. So, next we're going to do cream blush. This cream blush looks like a bronzer. It's called Toasted Teddy by Road. I love her pocket blushes and you guys see me do this all the time with my blush and it's because sometimes when a blush is sitting in a package for so long, they get a little and this really warms up the product and just makes it in general easier to blend out on your skin. So then you can take your brush and you can tap it out and see this. It's just going to make it easier to blend. And I feel like you can move around the product by getting it warmed up first instead of going straight in. Sometimes if you take like a dried out one of these and go kapush, it can pull and move your foundation around leaving you a little bit patchy. Also, you really see how glowy. Look how glowy these pocket blushes are. You see that whenever you warm that product up. But this is just like a bronzy sienna type of color. And I love it. It's kind of intimidating when you look at it, but look at it blended out. Isn't that such a pretty natural blush, which you might not think looking in the packaging, it's like a brownie color, warm brownie. And look how I'm building it up. That way I didn't go in with a ton. I do have blush blindness, but could be worse. Another trick is if you went in with too much cream blush, take your foundation brush, don't put more foundation on it. Just use it as is. Tap it out. It will soften the blush story up. Now, I really don't like to let my wet makeup sit around for too long without setting it because we have creases in our face as we move our face and the makeup will settle in.
Unfortunately, it will. So, we do need to add a little powder. So, if you're again like I don't want to wear a lot of makeup, I would take a brush, a big fluffer like this. I would load up with powder, not too much. Just go ahead and get your powder evenly dispersed in the brush. I like to put it in a lid and push it in. And then I would lightly tap around my face. And that is how I would set my face. I would not get a big sponge and just start beating my face and pushing it in because that is how you're going to get that full beat, full coverage, full locked in like makeup look. And if that's not what you're going for, this is how you do it. You just tap in. Now, this powder I'm using is by Hourglass. This is their Vel setting powder. I do not like to set my under eyes with it because it has a little bit of luminosity to it. And nothing will emphasize texture on your under eyes like a little lumi in your setting powder. So, I like to go a little more matte. But if you have a dry, mature under eye and you're like, uh-uh, I can't get too matte. Take a light brush. I'll show you. See how our face is set, but it's not stamped. We're going to take a light small brush and we are going to dust a more matte setting powder under our under eye or you can use like a brightening powder, but this one's by one size. I really like it. It is pretty heavy. This is a great little brush here. And we're just going to load it up with product. And if I didn't want, you know, baking and stamping, this is what I would do. I would take a little bit of matte powder and just lightly, lightly, lightly set my under eye. Capiche. If you need to wear your makeup a really long time, I don't recommend skipping setting your makeup cuz setting it is literally locking that cream where you want it. And as you wear your makeup longer and your natural oils come through, your skin heats up a little bit through body temperature, the glow will come back through. It will not remain this matte. I always say the best time wearing makeup is like an hour to two hours into the makeup. The makeup looks the best because it has like that natural warmth from your skin just coming through and it just looks way more natural as your powders begin to melt. But we'll also use setting sprays for that moment as well, darling.
Darling, now because I'm going to show you this more in-depth look, I'm going to go a little heavier and I'm going to add the powder bronzer in Lagouna on top. This is by Nars. And I am just adding it right on top where we added the cream. This brush, if you can see, it's a little wispy, a little stipply.
And it's because I don't want that much pigment for my bronzer. Actually, I just want to add a little bit to re-emphasize it on top of all the powders that I put on top of my cream. So, it's just like a little dash of bronzer, and that's going to give us a more natural look. I really like this color because it matches. It's like a pretty warm tone. And I'm just going to lightly sprinkle that around.
We're not painting our face with a powder bronzer. And this is that star of the show. If you were like, I just want to do lighter makeup. You just do powder bronzer. You don't have to do cream products. But you can already start to see a little bit of that luminosity come through. It's so pretty. And then what I like to do is use the same brush oftent times for my blush because I don't mind if a little bit of bronzer and a little bit of my blush melt together. I just think it all melts and mixes together for a more seamless, beautiful look. I'm going to use a little bit of Rose Latte by CoverGirl. This is like a lumi blush.
So, it's going to work as like a hybrid highlighter as well cuz it has like that ambient light within it. So, I'm not going to have to add too much highlight because this is going to give me a really, really natural, beautiful glow.
And we're just going to do small Look at these small circles. I'm doing these small circles cuz I find that they evenly distribute the powder product onto my cheek rather than pushing it in one section. Like a little bit of is really going to give you that softer blend. And yes, it all takes longer.
Like the more detail you're going to do and work and blending and all, it's going to take longer for your makeup.
But of course, the longer you take on stamping your face, often times the better it looks. And sometimes it flops either way. Now, if I need all of this makeup to really last, I will add, and this is going to get heavy, so skip this step. If you're like, uh-uh. I will add a little bit of foundation powder.
Foundation powder is going to give you that more velvet finish to your skin, but it's heavy cuz you're adding two layers of foundation. You know, we did cream foundation, now we're doing powder foundation. So, this is just a step. If I'm like going out at night time, I want it to be super super full coverage. I want a velvet under eye. I'll do a super light two to three shades lighter than my foundation powder for the under eye.
I've told you guys this trick so many times. I know you're familiar with it, but we're doing in depth, so I'm just going to show you. I'll just drape and sweep a little bit foundation powder to brighten and lock in that under eye.
Just a little bit brighter. Perfection.
So, this is the part where if I wanted my makeup to last for a really long time, I would set it in between this step right here. For my brows, I'm going to keep it simple because I recently Oh, look. My brow pencil is empty. She said, "Baby, I'm done. Pick another one." This was my little ABH brow definer. I've had this one forever and honestly, let me get another brow pencil. We're going to use Rafi today. So, because my brows are laminated, I don't have to fill them in as fully because they look a little fuller just me brushing them up and they're shaped, so that helps. But I will start at the base of the brow and flicker a few hairs in because it does get a little sparse throughout here. And I'll just thicken that up a little bit.
So, that's literally what I'm doing.
We're just going boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. And what really gives the brows a more natural look is whenever you brush through them to get that those strokes smooth out and just to look a little softer. Now, if you have to fill in your brows completely, I would recommend starting your makeup with filling in your brows, like if you are adding powders and like starting from scratch and like really having to fill them in and like draw brows on, I would start from the beginning because that way whenever you clean them up, you're not going to be messing up your foundation in any way or your base makeup. So, whenever my brows are not laminated, I typically start with filling them in.
Now, as they say, you're supposed to use a pencil and kind of see where your brows how far they're supposed to come out by your nostril to get that defined.
So, mine need to come out a little more.
So, I draw them in a little fuller here.
They stop a little early. And then the center of your eye for your arch. And then you can bring your tail out. It just depends on what style brows you want. We have thin brows. They're back.
We have bushy brows. We still have dip brows. So, we have like all the brows now. So, it just depends on what you want. I don't really think there's just like one trend in brows the way it used to be. Sometimes when my brows are too grown out right here, they look a little too thick. I'll literally take a little bit of my Nars soft matte complete and I'll do this and literally take off some of my brows and just cover them with concealer to make them look a little bit thinner, a little bit shorter when they get too bushy down here. I always do this trick. No, in real life it's not absolutely perfect, but I mean, no one should be that close to my face anyways to look like, get back. Get back. And I just like the way that it looks. So now, just so my brows don't get pushed down throughout the day cuz they're going to look weird, I'll add a little bit of brow gel. So I've been enjoying this one by Rare Beauty because it has a small spoolie and it's not quite as thick and strong. It is thick and strong. Like don't get me wrong, this is a really good one, but it's not like glue cuz I don't really need glue. I just need the little hairs to stay in place. Now, whenever they're not laminated, I need like glue, babe, because my brows can be very rude and very nasty and very stubborn. Next, now we have the base done. We're going to talk about some eyes shadow, which is something most people skip nowadays, but if you're still an eye shadow girly, this next part is for you. I like to wear eye shadow whenever I go out. Like, if I'm going to do the eyes, I mean, like, if I'm going to be beating the whole mug, I'm not just going to skip my eyes. I'm going to show you how to do your eyes easily where it doesn't have to get complicated. You don't have to do a cut crease. You don't have to do 15 shades of eyeshadow. You can make it easy. This doesn't have to be a complicated process, but you can still get a really pretty eyeshadow look out of it. So, start with a base color. This color is not going to be deep like these are a little bit deeper. It's going to be you can do like this pink mauvey, which is what I'm going to use today. Cool tones, a light gray, a corky brown. But I'll typically start with a matte eyeshadow.
So, this is the little Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk palette. I really like this one because you could use like just like a shade or two out of here and really get a lot of work done. So, I'm going to start pushing this in with a blender.
Look at this blender. I have loaded the color up. I'm going to push push push.
This is me packing on the color. I don't want to go in like this first because it can kick up a lot of fallout. So, I'm going to pack it in. We're going to build up that pigment and then I'm going to go in with small circular motions.
Okay, this is really buffing the color in. And this is going to give us a seamless, beautiful, soft blend. And I'm just going to keep buffing all the way to the inner corner, but I want most of my matte pigment to be around this outer corner here. And then the inner corner is where we're going to let, you know, shine because we're going to make that where the shimmers belong. And I'm going to show you a little trick with these eyeshadow shimmers. Cuz if you see these goies online, you're like, "Why does my eye shadow never look like that?" Let me tell you because I'm about to show you why it doesn't. But let me go ahead and take this pink color. Do you see how pink, by the way, can make such a great transition shade? Especially as it melts into like the blush. It really all seamlessly goes together. So, I push in.
You really want to get that a good blend. No harsh lines, no broke boys, and no new friends. Once our work is done, now you might want to go in with an eye shadow, a shimmer on top. Just wait a second because everyone's shimmers look so incredibly pigmented because they're doing the liquid equivalent in a base. So, they're taking a cream eyeshadow. This is the Mac Dazzle shadows. And they're basically making a cream base for whatever shimmer you're going to put down. So, I'm going to use this is another Charlotte Tilbury palette. This is the Celestial Pearl.
I'm going to use this gold in this palette, but I'm going to put this base down first. and you're going to get 10 times the oomph from your eyeshadow.
Now, if you're like, I'm not good at eyeshadow. I can't do all that. Just take a cream base like this. Rub it on your eye, tap tap tap, take your finger, blend, blend, blend, and call it a day.
Cuz this is really beautiful as is. It is lighter. It is soft. It is beautiful.
It's so easy. But if you want to oomph it up a little bit, you can add the equivalent shimmer right on top. And that is a trick I always do. And same goes for matte. So if I were going to wear a all matte look, which I do all the time. I love an all matte look.
They're just softer. I'll take a matte concealer or a matte cream eyeshadow that's the exact same color and I'll pop it onto my eyelid first and then I'll put the matte eyes shadow down. Okay. So I'm going to take the gold color and I'm just going to pop it on top.
Look at that. Oh, so pretty. Look, you guys see that? Doesn't that look wet and just insane and so pigmented and sparkly sparkly sparkly? Wow, look at that. By the way, this is called Flash or Dash the Dazzle Shadows by MAC. If you're looking for the exact color, it's really pretty. And I'm just going to push that in. I normally have nails on. It makes it so hard to get in the inner corner.
So, sometimes I have to take a little brush because of the nails, but I am just reaping the benefits of no nails today. I can feel my fingertips. Woo! No nails club. Next week I'll have nails on again. Next I'm going to go in with my Essence brown liner. I like this because it comes on a little brush and this is like only a couple of dollars. Brown reads so much softer than black eyeliner. So most of the time I opt for brown because I do like a little bit of a wing, but I don't want it to be too intense. So brown just is just a great way to soften that up. The truth is, I always have a hard time filming my liner, so I skip it on camera because I have to get so far into my mirror that it's hard to get the camera angle to see what I'm doing. So, it's not that I don't want to show you, it's that like how I have to get in my mirror. It's hard to get the lens to see me see like I'm all the way zoomed in as I can go right now. So, here we go. So, what I like to do is take the corner of my eye and kind of go not straight out because it can pull the eye down, but just the tiniest tiniest tiniest lift. Okay, done. And then I'm going to pull back.
And as you can see, I came straight in like a straight line in. So then I'm gonna take it along my lash line.
And then I'm gonna come back right here and just smooth that little empty divot out. And that way when I close my eye, the liner is a straight line, not a divot down and out. Then I take what's left on my brush and I give it a little pull out. Do you see how I did that? And that is going to give us the tiniest, sharpest line you could possibly get, honestly. but it kind of keeps it low so that way the liner isn't too thick. When I open my eye, we're still seeing the eyeshadow. As you can see, we have both of our liners on. And do you see how they kind of just come out straight, but because I gave it a little bit of a lift, it doesn't pull down on my eyes.
It's just like straight, but up just a hair. And then whenever I look down, I didn't even bring the liner all the way in. I stopped about right here because that's good enough. You know, that keeps it a really small, simple liner. So, next I'll do mascara. I'm going to use one of my favorites by Rafi. just has this little hook wand. And if you're using a regular wand, I would nudge at the base, wiggle, and pull up. But because this one is a hook, it's a little different. You can just kind of blink down on it, and it will pull your lashes through the little teeth on the wand, and it really makes your lashes poof. If I add a lash, it's always just an end piece these days. And I say that cuz I like a little bit of a softer eye look. Now, if you want a wider eye, you're going to put a nude cream color eyeliner in your waterline. If you want a little bit of a more sultry closed eye, I like to do a brown liner just in the waterline. Nothing below the waterline cuz then it can start to pull the eye down and give us like a really heavy smokey look, which just depends on what you want, what you're going for.
I'm going to use my favorite by Victoria Beckham. I like this one cuz it's really creamy and it like just melts into your eye, but it also has like a really good staying powder. Do you guys see the difference? How it kind of like sulturied us up a little bit without making it too dramatic? Oo, baby, that's pretty. Okay, now I've been using this mascara since the dawn of the dinosaurs.
This is the MAC Extended Play Gigab Black. And I use it because whatever mascara you use on those lower lashes, it it cannot leak. It simply can't. or else you've made a terrible, terrible mistake because your lower lashes, chances are they're going to be tapping your skin, your concealer. So, they will bleed. And one of the reasons I like MAC Giga Black because of the tiny wand is meant to grab tiny hairs without making a mess, but also because it's pretty leakproof. So, I'm just going to wiggle and tap these lower lashes. I don't like to build it up on the lower lashes, by the way. Like, it gets too heavy and spidery for me. So, I a little just a wisp is plenty. Like that. Okay, there we go. Lower lashes. That just keeps us a little more sultry as well. You can often skip the lower lashes. I do that, too. Now, I'm going to lock in with a little bit of my Charlotte Tilbury. And one thing is before you close your lashes, you want to make sure your bottom and top lashes are dry because you close and squeeze and spray setting spray. That is going to melt into your makeup. I'm going to take these little end lashes. You can tell I've reused them by velour. And yes, I will link them. I got some more of them from the Sephora sale. I'm going to take my House of Lashes lash glue. This is my favorite lash glue. It's on Amazon. I've been using it for like 10 years, you guys. But it's just the absolute best.
And I'll add, Do you see how natural that was? Just a little just a little bitty bit. I'll add like two of them at the end just to give us a oomph. And it's a really comfortable way to wear lashes because you really cannot even feel them. A strip lash, the thin ones like Ardell, I feel like I can't even feel them either. But like the thicker ones, girl, they get irritating. No matter how many times I wear them, I'm like, "Okay, get it off my eye, I'm over it." They're just heavy. You know, it does take real baddies to wear those. I always put them on with tweezers cuz they're so small. And then once the glue starts to dry, I push them up a little.
Like, do you see how I'm holding it?
Because if it dries in a going downward position, it's going to kind of stay like that. So, I try to get the false lash on the end to dry. You can even flip your tweezer and push up like this.
You want it to dry going up, not straight up, but you know, in an upwards direction, so that way throughout the night, your lashes are not slumping down or more so have a little oomph in the outer corner. I think it looks so pretty. So pretty. Next, we're going to get into lips as our lashes are drying down. So, I like to take a little makeup wipe and take off some of the lip mask.
Also, I get a little foundation on my upper lip. He'll like that because it does matt out and it can create a base for your lips to last longer. It just depends. Again, where are we going with this? Are we doing just lip gloss? Are we doing lipstick? Let's do full B.
Great. I'm going to take this KI lip liner in Jan. J A J A N. This is a plumping. I think it's plumping. Is this plumping? I feel like it is. Maybe not. It's really creamy. I like to go in with a little bit of a dark brown. And I like to do that because I blend it out with a brush so it softens up either way. Whenever I go in with too much of a light brown and then put all these colors on top, you can't even see the lip liner anymore once I'm done. So, I go in with a little bit of a deeper color just to give us more definition, but we blend it so much that it's not going to end up being quite this deep. Adding a lip liner is a great way to enhance your lips if you want to make them look a little have a little more volume. And it helps define the lips, too. So, if you're like, "My lips always come off." You really can take like a pinky lip liner and fill in the base of your lips with it and then put your lip products on top of that.
That will help your lip products last longer. Or you can take like a more matte substance products. This is their lip velvets by AVH. This one is in pure Hollywood. Oh my gosh, such a good color. And what I'll do is I'll use this as a base. I'm going to take a small flat synthetic brush to blend out the lip. And as you can see, that lip liner has been taken down a ton. So, a lot of times what I'll do now, maybe I'll go in with a little more lip liner and just define a little more. But what I like to do is I like to wait before I get to where I'm going to add my gloss because I find the lip gloss really does kind of start to disperse the lip a little bit.
Once you get that liquid in there, I mean, the lip product is not going to typically last quite as long. Obviously, mattes are going to last longer, but just having a good base is overall going to have your lippy on altogether longer in general. Okay, I am going to add the gloss for the sakes of the video. So, this one's in Chateau Rose by Edom. I really like these just to add on top.
And I try not to add too much honestly because that's so pretty, but I don't want it to mess up the beautiful base that I put down for my lippies. And now I will finish off with again some Anua, which is just going to help this makeup look more natural, melt all the powders down, and just LOCK IN THAT HYDRATION.
And this is just one of my go-to looks, honestly. It lasts. It looks so beautiful in real life. Seriously, it looks so good in real life. Like, if you see, there's no filter on this camera at all. Yes, there's good lighting. Why would I film in terrible lighting for you guys? Yes, but there's no filters.
This is what this looks like. It is seriously like art. It It looks so good.
And what I like about this because of the powders, the steps I took, the layering, this could be like your wedding day makeup. Seriously, this could be a bridal tutorial, bridesmaids, prom. Like this look is so elegantl looking. It's softer, you know, on the eyes, but it's still up. It's up, you know, it's like effort. It's more full beat for an occasion. Would look so good. Like you could follow this to a tea. And if you are going to use it for prom, for wedding day, bridesmaid, whatever, an event, save this video, practice this look before and get down what you need, what products are going to work best. Also, another little tip, you can take a little bit of a very soft light highlighter when you're finished and just add a kiss kiss more luminosity. Let me get a brush. This little brush set from Amazon I will link for you guys. But you can just add a little bit of that. And that's if you want even want this. You don't have to have this baby cuz you already got it.
You already got it. Look at that. It's so pretty. And like you're done. You're done. It's not even that complicated. We did two eyeshadows. I mean, a drugstore eyeliner, two little pieces of half lash. It's not that complicated. It's just really the steps, how you're blending it, how you're layering it. And I love the way it came out. So, yeah. I hope you guys like my look. I love you guys to death. Thank you for being here and watching. Subscribe before you leave for more content like this. And I'll see you in the next video. Bye guys.
