Good morning. Welcome back to live shopping here at Highlight Crafts. Look who's back in the building.
>> We're back in the building, Mel. We're back.
>> Adam and Simon, my partner's in crime.
>> Me and you two could get to a lot of trouble, can't we?
>> It's kind of like a weekly thing, isn't it? Like we're really getting like >> Yeah, it's great. I love it. It's fabulous.
>> Criminals. [laughter] >> We've got a brand new download for you.
We've got We're way up. [laughter] >> We've It's going well today.
Um, we've got decals for Rustin and Rey that we bought you last week.
>> Yes, >> last week. And we all said, didn't we, these would be lovely decals. We've got them today. We've got the glue. That's what I'm calling it now. The glue.
Absolutely amazing product. We've got the sprays in from last week. And we've got your pearl mist as well. So, we're going to start with the decals. show you those so you can get those in your baskets because if you bought that download last week and a lot of you did you definitely want to go and want to have those going um as well. Now they are on a three for two as well.
>> Oh only three. So >> so you can put all three in and you'll only pay for two.
>> Brilliant. I know we're good. You see >> to buy some myself. Well I >> you get the sentiments for free.
>> Exactly that. Right.
>> Right. Simon, I'm going to love you and leave you and go over you go over there.
Me and you we're going to talk about this. Oh, the new collection.
>> Very briefly, and then we'll come back and do the decals.
>> No worries.
>> So, who designed this then, Adam?
>> It was me.
>> Yes. How many collections have you designed before?
>> None like this. Nothing.
>> First one.
>> First one.
>> This was one of my moments where it was 12:00 at night. I couldn't sleep. And for some reason, characters came in my head, made it a script, and it got put onto paper. And yeah, >> here it is.
>> The rest is history.
>> It's amazing, isn't it?
>> It has took me a while to do it. Simon's been nagging at me, >> I believe. So, >> it was worth it. I wanted it to be perfect. I wanted it to be what I wanted.
>> Absolutely.
>> That's really selfish, but I'm sure everyone else will love it.
>> But you're a crafter. Exactly.
>> And it funny how crafters know what crafters want.
>> Exactly.
>> Right. Let's have a close look at a few of these samples, Becky, please, because these are stunning. Look at this. Your animals with script inside. How clever is that?
It's different to anything we've ever brought you. Not just from Pearly Winks, but from us as well. This is amazing.
>> And you can even borrow them as well >> because a laser printer.
>> It's a black and white.
>> Look at that.
>> For them as well. [gasps] >> Please tell me you're going to do a Christmas collection.
>> It's in the pipeline. Don't you worry.
>> Good. Good. Um, can we put the details up on the screen number, please?
>> I would love to.
>> You would [laughter] like to, but it's not happening. Oh, yay. We got it. We've got Gremlins out. That could be today.
Um, Shop Creatures, it's 22.99. Now, you've already got a£7 saving on that.
Then you're going to get your club discount. Then you're going to get your points back. There's no postage because it's digital and it's instant. So, you can be crafting with us this afternoon.
Congratulations. It's fabulous. Thank you.
>> And I don't give compliments out very easily. [laughter] >> Unless I really mean it.
>> Thank you. I do love you.
>> Fantastic. Is it >> a labor of love, but it's it's what was in my head. Like I say, 12:00 at night at one night and it was like, "Yeah, I need to get that.
>> I love it.
>> Need to do it."
>> Absolutely love it. Right, let's go and have a further delve over here and then we'll go and see what exactly what was in Adam's head at 12:00. Um, let's have a look at these details though, [snorts] first of all. So, you bought us that amazing download that everybody loved last week. Rust and Rey and you were all asking for decals. So, we've done them.
Have a look at these. These are amazing.
If I was still in a craft, if I went into a craft shop from way back when when they were still about because there's not many left now, is there? And I saw these, I would have been buying four or five of these for my scrapbook pages, for my home decor, for my steampunk. Absolutely fabulous. I love the fact you've done different ages, different ethnicities.
It's just all inclusive, isn't it?
>> So, that's your first one.
>> Your second one. Oh, I love these lights. Look at these with the typewriters and the cameras.
>> So, on your phone.
>> I want it on the back of my phone.
>> Oh, that would be nice, would it? Yeah.
>> Isn't this just gorgeous? Look at that dog.
He's been out in the rain, hasn't he?
and he's just had a really good shake and he's now all cozy again. I love them. I absolut the collage ones are exquisite. I mean really lovely. Look at that. And then your third one which you won't be paying for if you put all three in your basket. Look at those sentiments.
Now you can use these on your card and paper. Now we showed you the um talking powder technique. You can now use these on your cards and your paper craft. How fabulous is that?
>> And they will work with the scripted creatures. They will work alongside it.
So scripted creatures cuz they're black and white. They're going to work with any of your packs.
>> Stunning, isn't it?
>> Right. So details are on your screen.
Put all three in your basket. You're only going to pay for two. Or if you want three of one or two of one and one of another, you make your decision. You pick a mix. Best pick a mix in the world. I love it. Um, right. I'm going to go home and see what was in your head at midnight.
>> Yes.
>> Should I be afraid?
>> No. No.
>> Okay.
>> No.
[laughter] >> Maybe.
>> Maybe.
>> And Amber, can you just put the air can on, please, darling? Cuz it's very warm in here. Right, my love? What have we got?
>> I love it when you guys are in. We have so [laughter] much fun, don't we? It's great.
>> Right. So, >> Diane very kindly told me how to do the um contact sheets for these. So, I've done the contact sheets, but I've also done the fullsize ones as well. So, we can show you the contact sheets first of all.
>> Um, because there is loads in this pack.
I think there's 58 animals.
>> Amazing. I just need to read this to you from Liz Greenwell. My mojo has been has been a big has been a bit hit and miss recently, but one look at those creatures and I have a list of things I want to do. They went straight in my basket.
>> Oh, that's lovely. Thank you. You've inspired somebody today, Adam.
>> That's cute.
>> That's all you do today.
>> That's all. Yeah.
>> That's a good day, right?
>> Yeah.
>> A >> So, I think we've got 58 animals. So, you've got like your bee. I love that bee. Being from Manchester, it's one of our symbols of Manchester.
>> Absolutely. Right.
>> Um then you've got your It's got your main British animals in it, but you've also got some others thrown in as well.
>> A whippet.
>> You've got a whippet. You've got >> We've never done a whippet. I have >> Oh, have you got a whippet?
>> Yeah. Well, cute. Um, sausage dog. I think that's Is that a baby Labrador? It is. Yes.
>> And a Jack Russell. And >> I know Jack Russell's head. I love that where she's tilted.
>> And the ducks are absolutely I love the ducks.
>> They're brilliant.
>> Then we've got another duck. Dolphins.
Elephants. We have to get Adam's favorite character in there. Animal in there. Fenic fox. I just love them.
They've got such big ears. So cute.
>> Normal fox. Giraffe.
[gasps] >> Gorilla.
>> Gorilla. And these look when they're fully blown up, they look fantastic because the script's not really showing on here. But when fully blown up, hedgehog, hippo, horse, kangaroo, koala, lemur, lions, magpie, monkey, >> mata, mouse, um, octopus, >> um, and that that was a pain in the backside, that octopuses, wasn't it?
>> I bet gets all the scripts in the right direction and that. Yeah, I bet. Um, owl, panda, puffin, penguin, rabbits, robin down at the bottom, rhino, red panda. We have to get a red panda.
Really love them. So cute. Seahorse. My favorite. Um, squirrel, stag, tiger, turtle, or tortoise. Turtle. Um, and a wolf. So, you've got all of those characters. I say I think there's 58 in there. Then you've got all these lovely backing papers as well that work perfectly with them. So you've got your script and then you've got your watercolor washes and then [snorts] you've got some vibrant ones and then you've got some more watercolor washes there as well. Um then we've got elements at the top.
>> Wow, look at this. Look.
>> So all these are individual. They do come like that. So um as I say, we do it like this because it just saves space on your computer.
>> I love it.
>> Um so the full A4 sheets. Then you've got some ephemera and some quick cards.
And then as we move on, we've got our journal section as well. So you've got your dot grid, your lines, your dot uh your normal grids, frames, sentiments that are for your um journaling as well.
So you've got all of that and then you've got some normal sentiments. So you've got a full sheet of normal sentiments and these absolutely gorgeous. And then you've got some colored ones and then some more little different bits that you can pop in as your sentiments as well.
>> This is fabulous. So, if I quickly go over to the other side, >> look at this.
>> Is it going to be a naughty B?
>> Oh, look at that bee.
>> So, if I go into just go into full mode for this one or not, >> we're having fun today. We >> having fun, aren't we? Look, we saw you Becky then.
>> Becky made a screen debut then. I don't know how that happened. [laughter] Jack Russell. So if you scroll it, some of them have got really really standout font. So the ducks have got like really standout font.
>> I think it's absolutely fabulous. Look at the that dolphin's lovely.
>> So it's not actually showing everything that you're getting because it's just being funny. I can't even see if it's showing on that side cuz it's not showing there.
>> Oh, look at that.
>> It's showing them over here.
>> These are amazing, Adam.
>> Thank you. They are absolutely gorgeous.
>> Wow.
>> They look really 3D, doesn't it? I think the script makes them look 3D.
>> It does. And the shading just in the right place. It's like when you draw with pencil or pen and ink, isn't it?
>> That's incredible.
>> Stunning. Um, >> okay.
>> And you can almost read the script on that one. Cute little hedgehog.
>> This is brilliant. I love it. And really different. Yeah. And if you wanted to then go in. So, I'm going to say that all of those will cut out on your scan and cut. So, if you wanted to then go in and add color, >> you could do that, couldn't you?
>> I think there's a couple of them. So, just on the koala, like if on your scan and cut, so if you look at the top of the koala's head, just up here, there is a break.
>> There is. So, just go >> Yeah. So, what what I found cuz it was really frustrating me. I couldn't figure out how to do it and then I thought, what?
>> Yeah.
>> Um, so [snorts] if there is a break in it, it will try and cut inside the shape as well. Um, but most of them it doesn't. It cuts perfectly fine on them.
>> Absolutely.
>> Um, >> look at these. They're abs. That magpie is wonderful.
>> It's beautiful, isn't it?
>> Yeah. I love it.
>> And this is really different, guys. If you make and sell, this is going to really stand out on your stall. If you make for charity and an animal charity, I mean, can you imagine how many of these you're going to sell? It's >> fantastic.
>> They are just gorgeous. And I love what Adam's done with the samples where he's put that really bright color behind it because it makes that black and white stand out even more, doesn't it? It's very clever.
>> But then you could also go in with your shading with your pencils and make little shadows and stuff.
>> Well, we were talking about that yesterday cuz we use we have a set of graphite pencils and if you use a soft pencil and a blending stump, it pull it gives you even more light and shade. And then the best thing to pull the graphite off is Blu-Tack. Oh, >> so instead of rubbing it with a rubber, you just press it and it lifts >> like a putty rubber but a lot cheaper.
>> Makes sense, >> right?
>> Um, yes. So, we've got >> I love those. They are absolutely fabulous.
>> Look at them.
>> You've done a great job.
>> He has and I'm so proud of him and I'm so pleased he finally managed to get it done.
>> Look at that.
>> This side of Christmas. [laughter] I knew there was going to be a comment coming at some point in that conversation. [laughter] >> But can you imagine like the robin for instance mentioning Christmas? The robin with gold foil and then or red foil and put on a >> um >> I don't know where you put everything.
You've you've done it in true Adam style. You just put everything everywhere.
>> Is it not? I don't know.
>> I know where things are.
>> This is why I do it when YouTube come cuz it's like this this little domestic going on. It's brilliant. [laughter] So you can do your Robin system and your >> I know where everything is. It's a >> But then if you use your holographic as well and you can do >> that. Honestly is tremendous, isn't it?
Look at that.
>> It's gorgeous, isn't it?
>> But because it's the black and white, if you're using a laser, you're going to get >> Look at that foil.
>> Fantastic, isn't it?
>> Yeah. That's brilliant.
>> Absolutely fabulous.
>> It's got to be the elephant.
>> Right. Shall we have a play? Should we have a play? Let's have a play. Now, you told me you've got new updates.
>> Woohoo. [laughter] >> And they're really good these.
>> Not that you're all excited about.
>> Absolutely.
>> See what's new.
>> We've got loads of new um presets as well.
>> So, just tell me a little bit about Ailier for anybody that hasn't seen any of your shows before, please.
>> Ailier is basically a um like a workspace.
>> Graphics. Yeah. A graphics workspace. So instead of having like hundreds of different things out on your desk, you can do it all digitally. [snorts] Um, and it was created to work alongside our packs. Um, over here you've got Minecraft Studio. They both work hand in hand. So there's features what you can do on Minecraft Studio you can't do on Ailier and there's features what you can do on Ailia that you can't do on Minecraft Studio. Both fantastic pieces of software and both of them are absolutely >> free. Um, [snorts] so yeah, this is just my choice to use this. Um, but if you have got Minecraft Studio, it will work. Any of our programs will work in Minecraft Studio as well. So use whichever one you're most familiar with.
>> Okay.
>> Um, so that's how that came about. Um, so the new features, we've got new um, studio modes. Um, so we've even got So we've got Serenity Grunge one, which loads up a bit of a grungy background.
>> Yeah.
>> Rust and Rever. So you've got the the lantern here, so it's a bit more grungy, um, old-fashioned. Um, and then we've got a bit of a posh one here, which I love this one, which is the navy and gold with the mask print on it as well, but that doesn't affect how it works. So what the new features? The new features.
So we've now got a shapes tool and we've also got a magic frame. So the difference between those I'll just pull in one of the backing papers.
>> Yep.
>> So if I pull in say this one and just move that to the side. If I click on the shapes and then select change that to pattern.
>> Right.
>> Click on my paper.
>> Yeah.
>> And then press use active layer. Now whichever shape I create. So if I create a heart say select the size that I want.
>> Mhm. it will fill that heart with that shape with that uh backing paper. You have got the lock aspect ratio on there as well. So it will give you a perfectly shaped >> heart opposed to a square one. So you can do that with that. You can change the shape. So you've got the heart, star, circle, rectangle, hexagon, and line.
>> Don't know if this is going to work. No, that's not going to work. So I'm not going to try that one. But there is another way that you can do add your frame. So, if we go over here, click on crop.
>> Mhm.
>> I'm going to select for this one, I will select circle or oval.
I'm going to pop my oval in.
>> Yep.
>> However, I want it. Apply the crop. And then I'm going to press magic frame.
When I play press magic frame, you can choose different presets.
So for this one, I'm going to keep it on elegant gold and it will frame your >> look at you for me.
>> Get me try my best.
>> Um, and then what you can do to that, so if you're happy with that, >> that's amazing.
>> You can then pull in an animal. So I'm going to grab a tall animal. So, shall we pop in a giraffe or a No, I'm not putting a CS on that one. I've put the CS on the blue one if I had the blue.
Um, so just scroll down till you find the the one that you want.
>> That looks amazing.
>> And when you create it, you don't have to like >> I think most people will probably just put the giraffe in the center there like that.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> But when I'm designing something, I want it to look a bit >> like it's almost like it's walking through.
>> Yeah. a bit odd. So, it's not necessarily >> It's just designer.
>> Designer, darling.
>> Yes, designer. You can flip it as well, whichever way you want.
>> And then we can pull in a sentiment. So, if I choose one of Adam's sentiments, so because these sentiments are actually done in a way, >> um, so rather than writing a sentiment, because it's actually a PNG file, I can cut out part of the sentiment. So, if I crop that and say thinking of you today, I'm going to crop it in a circle oval.
So, I'm going to pull that over like so.
>> Wow.
>> So, I'll crop that in that shape.
>> Right.
>> And then because it's saved as a PNG file, what I can do, I can apply a frame to that as well. [laughter] >> And then I can bring that over just so that it ties in the same sort of frame into that. And then it's already got it shadow pre-built into that. So the framing tool will automatically shadow give your work a shadow and then we will just go into our effects and then we will add a shadow to that the >> giraffe I have to think what it was called then >> if you want to change the color of your frame >> you would then go into your shapes. So don't go into your effects because it won't have any effect on it whatsoever.
>> Go into your shapes and you can change the color of it here. So if you wanted to say go maybe a bit of a darker color, >> you can see the outside of that frame is really clever.
>> And you can break it down as well. So it automatically when something's framed, it will automatically group it.
>> So if you press group, ungroup it, it's made up of five different layers.
>> So >> as you may have noticed there, that only changed the outer color. It didn't change the inner color. So, one of these layers will be one on one's your um creates a highlight to make it look 3D and embossed. One layer will create the outlines and one layer will create a mat and one layer will create your shadow as well. So, it's all automatic. So, if you didn't want the shadow, say you could just click on that and it'll remove the shadow.
>> Very clever.
>> From there, once you finished editing it, group it all back up together so it all stays in one place and you don't lose anything.
>> You clever devil. Look at that. How fabulous. Print >> and print it and play. Right.
>> Oh, this is well exciting, Adam.
>> It is. Just to let people know, there is a free gift on this show.
>> Oh, is there?
>> But, um, >> it's not come through properly yet. So, if Simon could resend it over to >> upstairs?
No, they're going to resort it out upstairs because I think people might be tuned in for that as well.
>> While you're over there, I'll do [laughter] this over here.
>> What am I doing? I'm doing all of it here. It's very honor.
>> You're all over the place, aren't you?
>> Well, that's [laughter] stand.
>> That's just you.
>> Yes, mate.
>> All I'm doing at the minute is just cutting out the elephant on this. It's just one where it didn't print properly.
And I'm going to layer it up onto that.
>> Oh, this is nice.
>> Exactly the same size.
>> Sorry. Who am I sending this to?
>> Jane.
>> Jane. Thank you. [laughter] >> Sorry, guys.
>> We're really professional, aren't we? We did send it over the other day, but it's got lost in the span and the links expired. So, we had to resend. We've got to resend it.
>> See, that's why I don't do technology cuz I'm just [laughter] >> bonkers, isn't it? This is lovely.
>> It's gorgeous, isn't it?
>> Yeah. Can we just have another look while um Adam's just cutting that out of these samples, Becky? Because you've used one of the Grunge >> um downloads, haven't you? That we brought you last time.
>> That's from last time. Yes. That's one of the grunge packs. what I brought you last time is on the brand shop. Um, and that's used on the um the elephant at the top just here. So, we've used part elements of the the grunge on that one.
>> That background against the black and white is amazing, isn't it?
>> Yeah, it's just >> it's just fullon bold color and then you've got your textures in there as well from your digital elements. I mean, it's just super. Um, now we're gonna need something to put all these together, aren't we? Now, [laughter] I'm going to do a thing here because this glue >> is absolutely amazing. 10% of it's already gone. Every time you come, it's really busy. Now, I've been an advocate for pinfly book batting glue for years, and I haven't switched at all. And I never switch from one brand to another unless something's better or it's as good but less expensive. And it has to be th one of those two things. This is amazing. I'm in the middle of building a big piece of MDF that's on my desk at the moment for a long gorgeous by the way >> tomorrow. Yes, if you've got 12 x 12 papers, you might need to tune in for that. Um, this glue is what has built that MDF. It's brilliant. Decount it into here. I've used such a small amount of glue since I've started using this.
Honestly, it's amazing. And I always avoided these bottles because I thought they're gonna really block up. As long as you put that little plastic piece over the top, it does not block. Now, this glue, it's an EVA, so it's got a very, very, very, very low water content. I've got two on my desk that I've lost the lids for. Still, >> I can take get the glue out. Honestly, it's brilliant. So, you're going to get two bottles with two smaller bottles that you can decant into. So, make sure when you're doing that that you put the nozzle right into the bottle. Don't do it so it pours from outside the bottle in because it'll fill up that neck and then you're going like this trying to get the air out so to make it drop down.
But I cannot recommend that glue highly enough. It is superb and very different to anything that I've used. It grabs quickly, but it does give you that wiggle room. But for construction, it's phenomenal. Abs because you don't need all those clips and those little pegs that we use. It literally dries really quickly. It's fabulous. So, if you want that, you get a dual pack with your two little bottles. It's shop glue and it's $19.99 before your discount and your points. If you've never tried it, do yourself a favor and try that glue cuz for me to rave about something, it's got to be really good. When you said to me at the beginning, >> do you want to try our glue? And my answer was only if you want a really honest opinion. [laughter] >> It was actually >> and honestly brilliant. Right, chick.
>> So just um what what I was doing with this is because obviously the draft's already in the background. I wanted it to pop just a little bit more. So what I'm going to is just layer this on top of here. And it don't know if you can see. Sorry. So it actually makes that draft pop even more. So, if I had some little sticky foam pads, Simon, I'll stick it on. But as you can see, then they're all just in.
>> We're on it >> the background there.
But just make it just brings it out a little bit, doesn't it? It doesn't matter if we haven't got them. I think >> we just go and grab some 3D foam pads from >> I've got them in this thing.
>> I think you've got them in your case.
Um, >> it's all right.
>> I should have done this before. under underneath my desk at the back right hand side, there's a Moz and Spencer's bag that's got some rolls in it. Go and grab that.
>> I was too busy fixing the TV before we came.
>> You were too busy fixing [laughter] the TV. You're right.
>> It's Adam's filing system. I don't know where it's put my bag. It puts things down and don't tell me.
>> But it will make everything else then sit in the background cuz this is then >> love it >> boosted up. So that's one of them. Um, and Simon's kindly cut out loads of these on your scan and cut. So, >> right.
>> Right. Using, this is using the Itilier software with a back with the line around it.
>> Right.
>> Cut out.
>> Brilliant. Right. Look at this lot.
Thank you, Amber. That's amazing. Is that enough? [laughter] >> Enough.
Um Trudy's asking, "Hi, are the ink sprays micer or are they a flat/matte finish?"
>> So these ones are a flat finish. Um we do obviously micro sprays, but we also know people love um sometimes the the matte finish as well.
>> Yeah, absolutely. But you could spray that and then put the pearl over the top.
>> Exactly. So >> that's what you need to do. We'll show you that in a minute.
>> And we tend to do that with a lot of our inks. We'll do ones with micer in and ones without.
>> Absolutely.
>> And we do that because once the mic is in, you can't obviously take it out. Um but you can add the micer to it.
>> Um and obviously I know you sell spur bottles on your website.
>> We do.
>> Um if you wanted to mix it with the diamond pearl in your own little bottles, you're more than welcome to do that as well.
>> And it does it gives it a totally different >> totally different look.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Those sprays are amazing. And these lads manufacture for a lot of different people in the industry and the quality of their product and it's manufactured in the UK which is really really important. Um Allison Stone says morning everyone.
Could I ask that one of the guys >> love that could show me how to get a collection onto a tillier program as I'm older and struggle with computers.
Thanks. Yeah, we'll show you that in a bit. Right. We can do that. We can do that. I'm a bit old to Allison. I'm I'm 57 this year but I still struggle. I want to show. So, this bottle, as you can see, >> I left it purposely without the lid on for a while.
>> So, what you'll get when you leave it without the lid on, you'll get a bit of grunge on the top.
>> You just pull that off and it'll start coming out again. So, it doesn't dry up in the bottle. It just dries on top. It's like it protects itself.
>> It's unbelievably good.
If you've please try it because you won't go back. and the amount that I've used. I mean, Stephanie took a full bottle off me to do a whole weekend workshop. So, she said to me, "Have you got any of that glue?" I was like, "Yeah." And I gave her a little bottle and then I walked in 10 minutes later, she went, "Have you got any more of that glue?" I was [laughter] like, "Yeah, it's really good, isn't it?" Because we were doing MDF as a project in our academy. Um, >> honestly, it's amazing. And please decant it into those little bottles because you do not need a lot. If you're not, if you're using it straight out of a big bottle, you're wasting it because you don't need to use that much.
Honestly, it's superb. The other thing I like is it doesn't leave all those lines behind your paper.
>> No, it doesn't out of your bottle.
>> Like when sometimes when you put it in paper, it makes your paper bump. But this one doesn't cuz it's not got that water content in it. It's got some water content, >> but minimal. It won't make your paper bump or your card bump when you >> start sticking things together.
>> It is fabulous. And I know there were loads of you have bought it. So, let us know what you think about it as well, please. Um, right. Can we talk about the sprays then? Of course.
>> Is that all right? That's lovely. Look at that.
>> I just wanted just so it pops out so it looks more 3D. It looks like the giraffe now really is >> Oh, it's an elephant.
>> No, the giraffe at the back is really in the background. [laughter] >> I was like, >> where is he going with this?
>> Well, [laughter] that's the sort of thing that I would do. Um, right. Please get this download in your basket. Adam.
It's his first ever collection that he's designed and he's done an amazing job.
It's $22.99.
Amber, I think. Remember?
>> I think that what he said.
>> Was it?
>> No.
>> No. The the darling, please. That's all right. We're having a day today, aren't we? 22.99. Shop creatures. You've already got a£7 saving, guys. That is brilliant because you'll get your discount off, your points back, and there's no postage. Give it a go. This is brilliant for men's cards. It's brilliant for kids cards, great for wedding, anniversary, birthday, all those occasions, but something really different. And it's not very often that you come across something really different in this industry anymore. So, when you do, you need it in your digital library. So, please treat yourself to that because you'll love it. And if you want to add coloring, you can, >> can't you? You can color it. You can color it with your pencils. You can color it with your >> color with your inks.
>> Color with your inks, with your ink sprays. Yeah.
>> Seriously, brilliant. Don't miss out on it while we've got it. Right. Let's talk about the sprays um next, please. And then we'll recap the decals and then we'll go back over to Simon because I'm aware we've only got an hour today. But you are doing something else, aren't you?
>> We are doing some pre-records for >> for Sunday.
>> For Sunday.
>> Um the gift is ready. So, type gift now and you'll get your free gift. Free download. Whispers. What's it called?
>> It's whispers of yesterday. I don't know if S wants to quickly show that before I start spraying.
>> Yeah, go on then. Let's have a quick look at your idea just because it goes so >> Oh, talk about rubbing it in. Good morning from sunny Lanzerati.
>> Good morning from Sunny England.
>> It's gorgeous, isn't it? We're all sweating in here.
>> The EV EVA glue is amazing. I won't be using any other glue, says Susan. And next says, "Will you bring some of the glue to Doncaster Mel? If the guys are right, allow it. We will do our best."
Absolutely. Um, yeah, why not? [gasps] It's exciting. I think we need >> You're going to be our sales person, aren't you, Doncaster? [laughter] >> I think Well, I think we need to use your glue in our classes.
>> I think we do.
>> We'll start at Doncaster.
>> Right. Let's have a quick look at your free gift and then we'll go back over and have a look at these sprays for you as well.
>> Right. So, the free gift, just let me drop everything down because I'm just like taking over screen with everything that shouldn't be there. Um, so we've got Whispers of Yesterday. This in itself is a pack in itself to be fair because you get loads of backing papers and all sorts. So, you've got a sheet of sentiments >> um which have got some lovely sentiments easy enough to crop out on there um in Ailia and my craft studio. Then we have got our backing papers. So, you've got a lovely script one there, and then you've got loads of different backing papers. And I love the detailing on this one, especially in the top corner, the flourishes. They look almost 3D, like you've embossed those.
>> That's amazing.
>> Um, and you've got your script running through. You've got several different colors and a few different styles there.
Um, then you've got some lovely vintagey style backgrounds, some more script, >> and it's free.
>> And it's free. And all you need to do is type the word gift into the comments and that will automatically put that into a basket for you. Um download already in itilier and we'll be having a play after the show. Fabulous. Um can we just check in next? Yes. Thank you. Um now then Chloe Williams.
>> That's my sister.
>> Is it? Harper said hi Uncle Adam. She's very proud of you with the love heart that's given me goosebumps. Look at me.
That's amazing. Gina G says, "Yes, I use the glue. It is fantastic." Mel, you are right. Use so little and it dries perfectly.
>> I think as well, it's that glue.
>> We've always got glue for all different things. Like we've got fabric glue, we've got paper glue, we've got everything. You don't need it with that.
One bottle >> is going to last for ages and it will do your fabric.
>> So, you said to me, as long as one, if you're doing two surfaces together, as long as one of them is porous, it will work. Yeah, >> there you go.
>> Well, I'm saying that, but we have actually stuck acetate together >> with it. Even though you shouldn't.
>> I think it's got to be the thinnest layer only because what'll happen is it'll dry around the outside where the air gets to it, but then you'll end up with a pool of white mess in the middle.
>> Um >> um just so that everybody knows, we are going to sort out the um >> gift, sorry, the gifts, the gift for you as well. Trying to read and talk at the same time. That's never >> working again. [laughter] No, we need it free. That's what we need. Um, right. We'll sort that out for you. Look at these sprays.
>> And you're not bothered about this, are you? No, >> cuz it'll wipe off.
>> Just going to spray it onto some canvas.
Just >> so you can see the >> Can I just have a bottle of that glue, please?
>> We have a lady who suffers with really bad migraines and she wants to know if there's any smell.
It's not like I think migraines are usually with do you know like super glue I suffer with migraines water >> but with this >> I don't I especially like >> there there's a very very very very very very slight odor and it smells like a PVA >> a PVA kind of smell to it so if you're used to using a PVA glue you're going to be absolutely fine with that it's waterbased darling it's not solvent based solventbased is when you can really smell products.
>> It's not toxic at all either, so it should be absolutely fine.
>> All right. Perfect. Um, right now then >> somebody asked to see the colors of the sprays.
>> We did. Yes. So, these are your colors of your sprays. We'll put the details on the screen for you. You've also got the the details for the sprays on your Look at that. Look at those colors. That's >> amazing.
>> But I just wanted just to quickly show you what the colors are. Absolutely. But then if you've got your paper packs. So, >> now you did that. So if you spread that now and took one of those decals and put it over the top, that could be your card front done, right?
>> That is just a piece of canvas. You could even a bit of artwork.
>> I love it. I love it.
>> Um but also spraying it onto your download. So if you have got a download and you don't really want to mess with changing, so if you've not got like a tillier or you've not got a laptop and you've only got an iPad and you want to buy a download and you can print them, you can change the colors just with >> Yeah, cuz you can just buy a download and print it on your printer, can't you?
You don't need to have a computer.
>> No.
>> Well, you are then. See, >> cuz we know quite a few people who don't have a computer when they actually use it on >> um a that download it and print them off the iPad.
>> All right. Perfect. Right. We should be all good now with your free gift. Should come up when you're checking out as zero cost. So, let's try that and see if that works. Fran says, "Wow, love the colors of those sprays. They're lovely, aren't they? They're really vintage. I think they're fabulous." Um she says, "Can a spend coming on?" Lol. Trudy says, "How do you do the use the PV the EVVA glue in the larger bottles?" So, if I'm using it out of the larger bottle, I always put the nozzle on the card and almost scratch it on.
>> Yeah. So, if you're going to use it of your little bottle, your larger bottles like Mel just said, just pull that just go to corners and just scratch it on like that.
>> Cuz it's a thick glue, it's not all going to come flying out. Go. Especially if you're doing like your your corners of your card and layering, you're going to get the control with it as well.
>> It's superb quality and I'm proper fussy about my craft stuff. I won't buy anything if it doesn't do what it says on the tin. That does what [laughter] it says on the tin and more. It really is epic. Right, so we sprayed that. Now, can you now show it with the pearl mist over the top? Yes, of course. So, if you want that micica hit, you want that shimmer, this is the product. All right.
Right. Why am I using the brand new one?
I'm going to show you something.
[laughter] >> You keep pointing over there. You're like, >> you get shouted at.
>> Yeah. Not that again.
>> We get a look.
>> Yeah. 20 of them open. [laughter] >> So then >> now look at that.
>> Brings it different >> instantly. Right. I have a question then. Could I mix some of that in with the >> Yeah.
>> the matte sprays?
>> Yeah. So if you've got a spare bottles, which you sell on your website, I would recommend buying the spare bottles. Mix some of this in. You only need a little bit. Give it a good shake before you mix it in because all the mic will then come up. And just mix it in with your bottled spray.
>> Yeah, you you get twofer, don't you? I >> tell you what, this does look really nice with >> lovely. Look at that. Now, >> David's colors.
>> Yes, >> he has got a copper.
>> Yes, >> the vintage and copper go hand in hand together.
>> Yeah, they are lovely. Look at that.
>> And they'd work perfectly with our Rust and Rey ones that we launched last week.
>> Exactly that. So, let's bring in the decals now so we can show exactly that cuz look at that. These colors on here are phenomenal. Look at the blue in there and how it works with that blue that's right in there. It's amazing.
There's a very, very small amount of that pink in there. So, everything's tied in together. Look at the tight writer with the blues and that lovely almost like a patina color in there.
These are perfect to work with this, aren't they? Just layer one of that over the top. That's all you need, isn't it?
>> I mean, it doesn't look like much at the minute cuz I just sprayed them down.
Obviously, at home, I would spend a lot more time, but but then you can even spray these if you wanted to make it to blend in with all the colors.
>> Yeah, it's honestly, it's stunning.
Right now then, we've got a few questions. I'm going to go Oh, go on.
Look at that.
[laughter] >> Right, we've got a few questions. So, I'm going to quickly do the decals and then we're going to go back and ask the questions. How about that? Yeah. No worries.
>> So, let's bring those in. So, your first one, now these are on three for two for you. Um, so if you wanted to put all three different ones in your basket, you could do that. If you wanted three of the same, two of one, one of another, doesn't matter. You make your choice.
But make sure you're putting three in.
And then you will only pay for two.
These are wonderful. I wish I'd had these when I did all my old um photographs in scrapbook albums, but actually I could go back in and add them in now. These are fabulous. There's some of the best ones I think that we've done. Completely different to what we do here at Highlight Crafts with ours, but that really vintage look and feel, that grungy look, but without being too dark, which I think is amazing. And these collage ones are exceptional. That stag, if you made Yeah, exactly. You put a little bit of this color on here, your um compass and your stag, and that could be a Christmas card for 2026. They are incredible. That tight router. I've got to have these cuz that reminds me of my mom. My mom's tight router. I'm going to put it on the side of it.
>> I have it as an ornament in my home.
>> Oh, use it.
>> Uh occasionally because it still works, but it's like really noisy and it's one of those you've got to press the keys really hard.
>> Well done, der.
I know. [laughter] I love a typewriter.
Honestly, it's brilliant. Um, thank you, darling.
>> Thank you.
>> Um, right, my love. Let's answer some of these questions, shall we? Cuz we've got a few questions. So, >> let's see where we need to go back to.
No, we're good. Right. So, we've got one from Fran. Could you use the sprays on fabric, please?
>> You can use them on fabric. However, they will wash out. So, if as long as it's going to be something that you're not going to wash, y >> you can use them perfectly fine. But what I would say is um You're better off trying them with mediums outside, didn't they?
>> I'd mix it with your fabric decopage glue from Cadence and do it that way.
>> Give it a go. Um, I'm sure there will be some way of setting them. Um, but we've never actually set them onto something that we're going to wear.
>> Um, >> cuz they're not machine washable.
>> No, but unless it's I don't know if you can with the cadence.
Yes, we do fabric decopage glue, >> but it's not something that we've personally done ourselves. So, >> um Jen says, "I used my pillows glue to repair a tear in my garden vac collection bag on Saturday."
>> Oh, I know what it means.
>> It was the first glue that I could find.
Took a fabric patch, applied the glue, and patched the nylon collection bag.
Worked fab and the rest of my for the rest of my gardening. So, one of those big buy a new one. So like the do you know the vacuums the garden vacuums you can get like leaf blowers or the vacuums it'll be the bag that collects.
>> So the reason that will be that it's worked really well is because it's very f in compared to like your PVAs and stuff like it's a very flexible glue.
It's almost like a rubber and that's cuz it's designed to work with your Evva foam >> like your funky foam and stuff. So it is made to be flexible.
>> Brilliant.
>> So >> I need that. I need to be made to be flexible.
>> Don't they all? Yeah, right. [laughter] Jacqueline says, "Can I just say I have asthma and the Pearly Winks glue doesn't make me breathless." Thank you for that, Jacqueline. That's a little bit of reassurance if you're wondering.
>> We're both asthmatic as well.
>> The smelling the smell stuff.
>> I cannot have at home the, you know, the plugins and the smelly stuff. I can't have anything like that because I get really bad migraines.
>> Have you got your microphone on? You haven't, have you? You've been looking.
[laughter] >> I thought I was just staring at me like that.
>> Yeah. So I can't use the like plugins and stuff because of the smells, but this glue doesn't affect >> Brilliant at all.
>> Absolutely brilliant. Hi Mel, I meant does the glue come in larger bottles?
>> Oh, I see what you mean. Those are the biggest bottles that you do, aren't they?
>> At the moment, we are we are looking out of a bottle, but it's got to be the right bottle as well. We don't want to give you a bottle which hasn't got a nice flow.
>> There you go.
>> We won't just do that. We won't unless you want to decant it. So maybe it might be you bought these and then you want to decant it into these bottles.
>> I think it's easier as well for >> to handle. I think it's easier in the smaller bottles because you can actually use a smaller bottle to >> Yeah, you can >> go straight from the bigger bottle, but if it's something like a liter bottle and you're trying to >> do that. Yeah, it's not good. [laughter] Um right, sorry Trudy, I misunderstood you there. Um Barbara says, "Can I download the Artillia program onto more than one device?"
>> Yes, you can download on as many. It will only work on Windowsbased computers. I think it's Windows 10 >> and yeah, 10 and 11.
>> 10 and above. Lovely.
>> Um, right. Then we've got Shahab says, "OMG, Adam, you have nailed it with this beautiful scripted creatures artwork.
You and Simon are so talented." Thank you, Simon, for the new Itilier updates.
>> Thank you.
>> Thank you.
>> Amanda says, "I one of my sprays." Oh, has exploded on the plunger part of the bottle. Can I decant it into another spray bottle so you can have it somewhere hot maybe in the weather?
>> Um, if the you can decant it into another spray bottle.
>> Yeah, you can decant it into another spray bottle or if you drop us a message um I'll get another one sent out to >> perks >> to perks. Yeah.
>> What's your email?
>> Um Oh, yeah. Um admin pearlywixcraftraftsupplies.com or if she goes pops on to our website.
It's on the website >> or even on Facebook. Message.
>> Yeah. Or just message us directly on Facebook. Simon or Adam Kendall Stokes.
How about >> that? Out to you.
>> Right chick. What we going to do?
>> Right. So, >> got about 10 minutes.
>> If I quickly show one of a lady messaged, didn't she? How does she import? Yes. So, the easiest way to do it, you can do it in the program, but the easiest way to do it would be to go to my downloads, unpack, extract all, extract it directly into your um folder. So, I'm doing it with the Wild Cosmos. And then literally all you would need to do is open up another tab. Mhm.
>> Go to documents, Ailier [snorts] by Pearly Winks, collection vault. And then all you would need to do would be to drag that across into here like that. I've already got it in anyway. Um, and then it will load up into your Itilier. So I just imported a wild cosmos collection and that's actually the collection. You get that collection free with the new itilier update. So it's a load of Digi stamps.
If it doesn't show there, just close the tillier down, reopen it, it'll be there.
>> It'll be there after. Great.
>> That's the easiest way to do it. You can do it >> um through add collection.
>> Um you can do it that way as well, but the easiest way to do it and make sure you >> drag it in.
>> Drag it in. Um so, oh, what have I done there?
>> So, the what we can do is a quarter of the stock of the glue. Um, Jacqueline says, I'm gonna read this out. Got to say, these are amazing. Talking about the sprays, I love them. Are you ready for this more than the Tim Holtz ones?
>> Oh, wow.
>> Now, there's a compliment.
>> That is a compliment. Thank you.
>> Well done, Jacqueline.
>> We do. We love our sprays as well.
[laughter] >> We make them. We make them in the UK.
And because we're crafters as well, well, Tim Holtz is a crafter as well.
>> Absolutely. um we won't sell anything that we won't use ourselves and we won't um it does it's not something that we'll just say do you know what we'll make a different spray today this is what we will try and test it before we will go out and finger um and we try and put our collection together so that rather than just release one collection of a spray a stamp this that and the other we will try and put a collection together so we will put four or five different sprays sometimes six sometimes eight >> but we will make sure all of those colors will complete compment ment.
>> So you don't have to wait like >> six months before our next color in that collection comes out.
>> Um Loki Bean is asking love that name.
Um I have a Chromebook. Will it eventually work with Chrome?
>> Chrome is that >> Android based Chrome apps. Android. I think that probably is going to be the next one because I think that's easier than working on Apple cuz Apple's just completely different and you have to get certain licenses and certain developer licenses and yeah, it's not as easy to do the developing on side of it as well because with Windows it's quite open to what you can produce. Whereas with Apple, you have to have certain licenses to then put it onto the app store and you've got to have licenses to do this.
So, it's not as easy >> as it is on a Windows or Android based.
>> Um, >> so I guess the answer is watch this space.
>> Yes.
>> Lovely. Right.
>> Um, so what I'll do is I'll just pull in a backing paper from our whispers of yesterday. Um, because it's got some absolutely gorgeous backing papers on here. And I love this rose one, which I've just gone straight past it. I know I have that one. Um, and I'm going to pull in the elephant. So, >> look at that baby. I've just brought that one in.
>> It reminds me of a tea service my grandma used to have. It's lovely. Yeah.
Really pretty.
>> My nana used to have them. Sort of. Did she?
>> Yeah. And the willow pattern one. I used to love that one.
>> Um, so then we will go into I hope no one's watching this pack cuz it's got my nest collection in here.
[laughter] >> I'm not told anybody about it.
>> I didn't I just noticed it then when I it came up and I thought just a sneaky peek. Um, look at this.
>> Right. So, I've already got my backing papers on. Yeah, I've got it's my next launch. What I'm going to be doing on it.
>> That's exciting.
>> If I can get it in before Christmas.
When does Christmas start on highlights?
>> Uh, June, next month 20th.
>> Oh. Oh, yeah. I've got a I think we've got one or two shows before then, so I'll have time to launch.
>> A few Christmas collections already in the pipeline.
>> Excellent. Love that.
>> Um, right. So, elephants. You love his elephants. I love.
>> So, we'll bring an elephant in.
>> Look at that. I love this. I've never seen anything like this.
>> It's beautiful. The elephant.
>> And it's really It's really hard to keep coming up with different ideas, isn't it? You know, but to have I love the simplicity of it, but the detail in it at the same time.
>> It's really It's just so different.
>> And if you wanted to on this, what you can do is you can remove the selected color. So, if I wanted to remove the color, we can then So, you can still see the thingy underneath it, the roses transparent.
>> Um, and just by moving this slider, you can make it so it's more transparent.
So, um >> Oh, so you could use it as a layer on your papers if you're building up like rice paper designs. That's clever.
>> Um, so you can do that if you wanted or you can turn it off if you don't. Um, and [clears throat] we can add an outline if we wanted to just make that pop as well. Um, and then we'll pop a little sentiment cuz we've got loads of different sentiments.
And you can do the same with your sentiments as well. So, if you didn't want to do the frame like we did before, we can um change our crop to a rectangle cuz it's easier. Have a beautiful day.
That crop feature is really clever, isn't it? And that background.
>> There's loads of different ways of using the crop. So, you can even crop in heart shapes or in whatever shape you want.
Really >> amazing.
>> Um, so we can pop that up here. Go back to our transform.
>> Now, Marina says, "Question for the guys. How do I get the picture of the collection to show in my work page? All it's got at the moment is PW next to collection."
>> Right? So if it's got PW, it means you've So the way that I've just imported then or I just demonstrated importing, that's why it's the best way to do it because if you do it the other way, it doesn't always show because what it tries to do, it tries to >> So it'll pull in the outside folder whereas the way I've just done it, it doesn't. So what it'll do that outside, it will look for the cover is stored inside that. Whereas when you import it through the actual program, so if you import it through the actual program here, so you'd click add collection and you would import um you would import it that way. So it need you need to import the the folder inside that collection. So >> yeah, >> I'm not making sense.
>> So if you open up the folder, [laughter] so are you saying that if you open up the folder, you then import the files that are inside it?
>> Yes. So instead of importing the outside folder, you'd import the the folders what's inside that folder.
>> So open up the folder. Look at me. Open up the folder and then drag the files in and then it will give you the picture.
>> But you would you don't actually need to drag the files in. You just um downloads wild cosmos. Right. I'll just extract that quickly.
>> This was gone really quickly.
>> Really quick two hours, aren't we?
>> Yeah. Yeah. Right. So if I go add collection, >> so instead of just pressing that and then select folder, what I would do is go inside the collection >> inside there.
>> Yeah.
>> And then select the folder and it >> open it all up first and then play. So go down until your your root folders are there and then import it that way because what it's trying to do is find that cover picture. But obviously because it's in the next folder inside it struggles whereas if you do it the way that I shown originally just go into my documents at um collections fault that's the easiest way to do it to be fair.
>> There you go.
>> Um and that's the best way and then they would all come through. Um, and then if I just remove that background, and because that's a a complete black image, we can then change this black >> to all the different colors >> to match >> the blue >> what's inside that.
>> Um, which then just draws it.
>> Amazing, isn't it?
>> Into that as well.
>> I love it.
>> Amazing.
>> It's really clever. Um, Barbara, we'll have a look. Barbara, can you just reply to Barbara for me, Amber, please? I think if you if you email help at highlight crafts, um, we'll get that sorted for you. Thank you.
>> It's been another lovely hour. So, you're staying now, are you, to do a couple of pre-records this afternoon?
>> First ones.
>> Oh, how exciting.
>> First today. [laughter] >> I know. And congratulations to you, Adam, cuz that is it is absolutely fabulous artwork.
>> Thank you.
>> Beautiful. See, it was worth having that in your head when you couldn't sleep at 12:00.
>> I think everyone's got like a little taster into my brain, haven't they? At 12:00 at night.
>> That's not even the half of it.
[laughter] >> And sometimes it's 3:00 in the morning.
>> Simon, Simon, like Adam sleep.
>> It's always 12 [laughter] 3 for me.
Always on the on the button. It's like a clock does that and my brain does that and it aligns and that's when >> it's because of the ADHD cuz my brain doesn't jaw. So, like I didn't realize that people who are not neurodeiverse, the brain shuts off and they can just fall asleep and they're not having conversations with themselves. But me, >> you do.
>> I have conversations. But I get all these good ideas. So, >> well, [laughter] absolutely. Um, right. I'm going straight next door now to do an hour of outlet with our lovely David. We've got some fabulous downloads on there for you as well and some deals. So, join us for that. And then Stephanie will be up for an hour of sewing at 1:00. And then I'll be finishing off me uh MDF storage >> for tomorrow when they launch the brand new brand which is very exciting.
>> It's lovely. It is a lovely >> I just see. Is that what you're doing?
Make it shelf.
>> Very colorful. Make it shelf.
>> I need some of them is what I think it is.
>> It is that size storage.
>> They need the glue definitely for that.
Don't they need >> They need the glue definitely for that.
>> Absolutely you do. Um right, I'll see you in a few minutes time. Thank you for your company.
>> Bye. Thank you.
