Clarity IS the Reminder

[00:00:02]Clarity is not being enticed by thought.

[00:00:06]Clarity is the nature of experience when experience is not filtered by mind.

[00:00:13]Clarity is available at all times even if things don't feel clear.

[00:00:19]The moment you recognize what thought it is that's binding you in the moment.

[00:00:25]What belief is binding you in the moment?

[00:00:28]Then clarity returns.

[00:00:30]Or your resonance with clarity returns.

[00:00:34]So just notice the landscape of thought.

[00:00:38]What kind of thoughts have been moving through your mind today?

[00:00:42]Problems?

[00:00:44]Or maybe not problems or it doesn't feel like problems but more like contemplations.

[00:00:50]What is your pet concern?

[00:00:54]Are you thinking about your process and what needs to be done or what's left?

[00:01:01]Are you thinking about how this habit or that habit is keeping you from presence somehow, keeping you from clarifying something?

[00:01:13]Just noticing these thoughts, noticing how much of our attention and energy they occupy starts to lead to clarity immediately.

[00:01:24]Because clarity doesn't concern itself with any of this.

[00:01:29]Clarity is clear by nature.

[00:01:31]It's uncomplicated.

[00:01:34]Doesn't get entangled in anything.

[00:01:37]It's not trying to get somewhere.

[00:01:40]It's not trying to get away from somewhere.

[00:01:44]It's not trying to figure anything out.

[00:01:48]It's not trying to clarify itself.

[00:01:51]It doesn't perceive that something needs to be fixed, changed, or repaired.

[00:01:59]It doesn't perceive a you that's moving through time, that's in the middle of an awakening process that has a certain amount of whatever left.

[00:02:13]Certain amount of will.

[00:02:16]These perceptions are perceptions, are thoughts.

[00:02:19]From the standpoint of clarity, none of that actually exists.

[00:02:25]Also, the thought that nothing exists, the belief that nothing exists, if you're identifying with that, clarity has nothing to do with that, either.

[00:02:34]Clarity does not take a stand like that.

[00:02:37]Like there is nothing, there is no one.

[00:02:39]These are stances, positions. They're thoughts.

[00:02:44]So, from the standpoint of clarity, none of that touches.

[00:02:49]It It just feels like thought texture, and it's unconcerning.

[00:02:57]And I don't think I am talking over anyone's head here. It's not a matter of how awake you are or what kind of insights you've had because clarity is available to everyone all the time.

[00:03:11]You could say there's a practice to it, but it's not a heady practice. It's not a thought-based practice.

[00:03:17]It's a willingness to see reality as it actually is, unfiltered by mind and thought.

[00:03:24]And it's also a willingness to remain alert in this clarity that's here.

[00:03:31]It's kind of like grace that this clarity is available all of the time, all of the time, every moment.

[00:03:37]So, just a little bit of alertness to it.

[00:03:40]And an alertness to when we're getting up into thoughts.

[00:03:45]Now, what's important to say about that is the alertness that can recognize when there's some thought.

[00:03:52]Some identification with thought, some entanglement with thought.

[00:03:55]That alertness itself does not require thought.

[00:04:00]That's clarity.

[00:04:02]Clarity knows clarity.

[00:04:05]And it perhaps perceives thought substance as unnecessary, a little extra.

[00:04:12]A little heavier than is necessary in this moment.

[00:04:16]So, that's clarity and it's right here for you.

[00:04:19]Also, clarity doesn't have anything to do with time.

[00:04:23]If your mind says, "Oh, that sounds great. I can't wait till that happens."

[00:04:28]That's a thought.

[00:04:30]Clarity's not concerned with that thought.

[00:04:37]Clarity's not in time.

[00:04:40]It's here.

[00:04:42]Clarity's not in concepts, views.

[00:04:47]It's just here.

[00:04:50]Now, always now.

[00:04:53]Don't have to think about that.

[00:04:55]Cuz now is always just now.

[00:04:57]You don't have to remind yourself of that.

[00:05:00]You don't need any reminders.

[00:05:02]There are no reminders necessary here.

[00:05:04]Reminders are kind of the first in the series of thoughts.

[00:05:09]The clarity is the reminder.

[00:05:11]Always.
