[00:00:00]Welcome to this week's what's sold video. I'm Katie and I sell part-time on eBay and Poshmark. Every week here on YouTube, I share what's sold in my business. If you're interested in what sold videos, please subscribe and come back next time. I had 16 total sales.

[00:00:14]The week we're talking about is May 5th through May 11th. 12 were on eBay, three were on Poshmark, and one was a local Facebook Marketplace sale. My total item sales amount was $525.

[00:00:27]My cost of goods sold or the amount that I paid for everything that I'm sharing with you today is $116.26.

[00:00:35]My profit after I got my cost of goods returned to me and I paid the platforms all their fees is $320.76.

[00:00:44]And my average sales price across those 16 items is 32.81. So keeping over 30 is pretty good, I think. Let's get into what sold. But first, I had my whatnot show on Sunday, Mother's Day. I'm going to be making a short video detailing all of my numbers and how that went. But if you popped in from YouTube, thank you so much. I had a great time. [00:01:22]Let's get into what sold. My first sale was a pair of swim trunks, which is great because we are entering swim season and once we get past probably June, I think it's going to taper off because people will have their swimsuits already. This is a men's size extra large. The brand is Chubbies, which is a pretty popular swim brand for men. They usually have loud prints. And um these were a 5 and 1/2 in lined swim trunk with a peacock fan out print. Very good condition on this one. I think it was one of the more expensive um swim trunks that they have. They range from like 64 to 84, I believe. And I think this is a higher tier one. It has a rubber stamp on the leg and just more logo placement throughout the short. I had them listed for $35. I had $6.99 into them from Goodwill and I received an offer for 25 and decided to accept. I do have no returns on most of my items now, which includes swim. So hopefully these fit and they can enjoy them. I ended up making 1417 in 185 days. My next sale is really good. This is a good brand to be on the lookout for if you are a reseller. It sells very quickly on eBay.

[00:02:44]And if you're just a thrifter who wants really good quality items, this brand is known for sustainable lag and look um Scandinavian inspired designs. The brand is Goodrin Shaden and this was a size large organic cotton black floral Soho hoodie. It retailed online for about 110. I could not find it available anymore though. It was in very good condition. It did have a little bit of wash wear on the inside. Still soft fleece, but I did sweater shave the inside just to get any little pillies off. Lots of uh lint rolling went into this one, but I got it looking pretty nice if I do say so myself. I had it listed for 60 knowing that it was a high demand brand and it would probably sell pretty quickly. I ended up receiving an offer for 50. It did have a lot of interest on both eBay and Poshmark, but my first offer came in at $50. I had $7.99 into this from Goodwill. It was stashed in the activewear section. So, maybe check out some sections that you don't normally because people place some goodies in there. Or maybe um maybe it was just put there at because someone thought it was an activewear sweater.

[00:04:00]I'm not sure. I ended up making $33.94 off of the sweater in 14 days. Awesome sale and I received positive feedback on it.

[00:04:11]The next item I sold is this Athleta Dash jacket. It's just like a basic track jacket in a neutral beige color. I picked this up from Goodwill for 650, which was the half off price from the after Thanksgiving Day sale. So, they wanted 13 for it, which yeah, they wanted 13 for it. And that's like pretty normal now. Back then, I was like, whoa, that's a lot. But now, this would be $12.99 to $15.99 at my uh local Goodwills. This is a size small petite and it's from 2024. Very, very good condition. Had a tiny spot at the wrist that I disclosed. I ended up getting a message from this buyer saying that they usually wear an extra small petite, but that they were willing to try it out at the price point of $40. And because I have no returns on it, I thought they can try it out for $40. That's fine. And um I did get a lot of messages with offers this week or just messages standalone.

[00:05:16]Lots of communication from the buyers this week. Um, so yeah, I can't say I love There's one that we're going to talk about later that I did not love and someone got blocked. Okay, back to this. I accepted the $40 offer. Um, it did sell promoted, so I had $152 in additional promoted fees, which left me with a profit of 26.23 in 153 days. So, a really good sale still. My next item that I sold is an Avara extra small BLE baby blue 3/4 bell sleeve floral overlay top. There's more descriptive words in here. Um I think the keywords probably helped it, but it's just a really cute top. I think in the theme I put um baby shower, tea party, brunch, winery, just fun outings that you might wear this to. It had a retail price of $74 on it. I'm not sure where it's originally sold. I picked this up in that consignment bulk buy that I did where I got basically a lot of mystery items for $200.

[00:06:25]This was in there. So, I have a cost of 333 per item from that lot. I accepted an offer of 20. So, I made $12.69 in 138 days. This was some good trickle-in money. Not something that I'd probably pick up, but new with tags, excellent condition. It was an easy list. My next sale was my very first bins sale. Yes, this is standard James purse. I showed this in my bins haul last week. It's a size five or a men's extra extra large.

[00:06:57]It was 90% cotton, 10% cashmere, and it did have a small flaw. On one of the underarms, there was just a little hole, probably from a sales tag, and a little bit of tension to the thread at the underarm, but not a hole. So, I made sure to put all that in. And I listed it pretty conservatively at $25. This got so much attention on both eBay and Poshmark. I received offers under $20 within hours, and I thought, I'm going to hold out and see if I can get a little bit more. And after one day, I ended up receiving an offer for $22. I have an estimated cost of 94 into each item that I'm reselling from the bins.

[00:07:43]So, with $22 um accepted, I ended up making $1707 in one day, which is so exciting. And that pays for almost 20% of my bins haul. I can see why people love the bins. If you've seen my videos before, you know that I pay up for almost every item. So to have something with this low of a cost of goods and to be such a quality item, it's the joy of thrifting. It really is.

[00:08:10]My next sale is not the best, but it is a Jill Love linen top. It's 100% linen.

[00:08:17]It's a hot coral print and um not much to say. I paid $3, which I think was the half price tag at Goodwill that week. I had it listed for $16.95 and received an offer for $12 that I decided to accept.

[00:08:32]I made $635 off of this tank in 284 days. So, that's much longer than I would like to be holding on to to items.

[00:08:41]So, I was okay letting it go. My next sale is another really good one, and it's a Nike piece. There are certain Nike items that do very well and this Tech Fleece collection does particularly well online on the resale market. This is a women's extra small tech fleece sports wear Windrunner blue fullzip hoodie from 2024. It was in excellent condition. It really did look unworn. I did wash it and it was an oversized extra small fit. This tech collection just does really well. I've picked up men's tech joggers. I've picked up a women's tech uh vest that I sold for 60 and I had this listed for 70 and it didn't get any offers for so long and then somebody came in and they paid full price $70 this week for it. I did pay $8.99 for it at Goodwill, but to get $70 is amazing. I think it retails for around 140, so that's good. I got a deal. They got a deal. I ended up making $49.87 in 101 days. This did not sell promoted, so I think someone was looking for it. My next sale is a winter item.

[00:09:56]It's a North Face beanie. This is the Ski Touque palm beanie with a fair ale print. It was new with tags. I think they retail for about 28. This is sold out online, so I listed mine for 28. I got this from my consignment store and it was their halfp price color. So, they're getting rid of their winter items because they're preparing for spring. So, this was just in the halfp price section that they have on top of one of the racks and I thought it's probably not going to sell until winter, but I will list it anyway because I list all seasons in all seasons. I received several offers. I think they started at 18 and we ended up at 21. I had $5.11 into this with tax. I think it was $450 plus tax or 475 plus tax. I ended up making $1.58. This did sell promoted, so I had 82 cents in promoted fees, but it sold in 11 days and it's not winter anymore. So, I think if you have a good winter item, it can sell anytime. And where is it going? I think it's going to Florida. So, that's interesting. They must be going on a vacation somewhere that's cooler.

[00:11:14]This was another one day sale. And it's a Lululemon item. I picked this up at um I do have a thrift haul of it. This is from the Earth Day 50% off sale from Goodwill. It's a men's large dark green metal vent tech long sleeve shirt. It was in very good condition and it took me way too long to list it. So, I picked it up on April 22nd was Earth Day and then I didn't list it for over 2 weeks.

[00:11:42]I considered running it in my whatnot show and then I thought this the quality on it is so good. I really would like to make some money on it. So, I decided to list it and I paid $750 for it was the half price and I listed it for $35.

[00:11:58]These retail for about 88 and somebody paid full price $35 in just one day. So, that was really exciting. I'm not sure if the dark green was what set it over the edge, but I do have a gray one in my store that has not moved yet, and it might be priced higher than this, so maybe I need to adjust that. So, I ended up making 21.86. 86 in one day off of this Lululemon top. Some Lululemon items can do well. Men's tends to do better for me than women's.

[00:12:29]Over on Poshmark, hello Poshmark, I had an Abberrombian Fitch sale. This is a size extra-L large Mara riit crest button-up sweater vest in cream, and it was new with tags. The retail on it was $50, and I ended up having it listed for $45 because it was sold out online.

[00:12:48]excellent condition with these cool gold crest buttons like in the title. I did go back and forth with this buyer and I think their final offer to me or their final counter was $32 and so I decided to accept. I got this from my local consignment store when they were running they were running a sale um throughout the week. I think it started at 50 then went to 60% off and then on Saturday it would be 80% off. I was unable to go to the 80% off day because we had softball. So, I went on Friday which was 60% off and I picked up three items and I think going on that day there was probably more for me to choose from of quality and I I felt like I didn't overspend on items just because they were 80% off which I think I have gotten caught up doing in some of their previous sales. like if it's 80% off, I'm picking up so many things that maybe I can make10 to $15 on that haven't sold particularly well. So, I was very specific in my shopping this day because I was getting 60% off instead of 80. So, I picked up three items. This was one and I had 6.86 into it with tax. I ended up making $1874 off of this in 56 days using my Poshmark free shipping materials, which I love. And I've been having a really good experience over on Poshmark. I know that there there's been some word of people being unhappy with Poshmark right now, but I haven't had that experience as of late or at all. I just started selling on Poshmark in January. I was primarily eBay before that.

[00:14:35]I had another Poshmark sale and this one is full price. This is a Smartwool men's size medium marino short sleeve shirt and I put outdoor hiking.

[00:14:47]Smartwool is a fast seller. I picked this up on whatnot because it was Smartwool and I knew that I could sell it. I was crossing my fingers when I got it that it would have no holes in it because you know sometimes the sellers are just flying through their stuff. you are bidding and then you get what you get. I did have to do some pretty significant work to this with some like specific sweater shaving and I washed it a couple times just because there were fuzzies on it and but overall it was in good condition with no holes which I love. But I overpaid for this. I paid 9 but it was my first item and I had 5.91 in shipping on top of it. So, I had $1,556 into this top and I think I only purchased a couple items during this um during this sale. So, um getting my cost of goods on the shipping back, it really didn't help me further on in this show specifically. Like I won't have any lowerc cost items, I don't think. So, mistakes are made on whatnot, which is why I'm being very careful moving forward. kind of sticking with new with tags now.

[00:16:04]Anyway, it sold full price for $32. I made104 in 10 days. Smart wool. Amazing.

[00:16:14]I would say pick it up. It even sells with holes in it.

[00:16:18]Next up is a pair of Coach wedges. These are the Jolene US size 10B regular platform wedge sandals. This is an eBay sale and I picked these up from Goodwill for $9.99 a while ago, 220 days ago, so that's a while. And I had them listed at 50 for a long time and then decided to relist them and drop the price. This was probably 60 days ago. And I also crosslisted them onto Poshmark.

[00:16:50]Sidebar, I am moving almost all of my shoes over to Poshmark. I'm refographing them and putting them on Poshmark because previously with a lot of my items, including shoes, I was using eBay's um AI background with it and I don't want to use their like proprietary thing on another platform. So, I am refographing. I don't know if you're allowed to or not, but I'm just not um out of an abundance of caution.

[00:17:21]So, I am moving my shoes over there.

[00:17:24]Specifically, the catalyst was that I received an offer on a pair of sandals that were not this sandal. And um the buyer offered me like over 50% off of my asking with a message saying that essentially they thought they think that all eBay clothing and shoes are overpriced and they've been doing eBay since 2001.

[00:17:56]So, this is a very fair offer and you should accept because the shipping is also so much more on top of it that it's really your item really isn't even worth what I'm paying for it.

[00:18:11]I responded and I declined and I respectfully said, "I don't make any money off of the shipping. I use calculated shipping. I know that the costs are very high, but um your offer is too low on the item. They responded kindly and said um like, I get it, but you could ship it um you could ship it cheaper. I'm going to leave my offer in case you change your mind. And at this point, I thought maybe I should block them because it didn't seem like even if I did sell it to them that they would be happy and that they could be problematic.

[00:18:51]So, um, but I decided not to. And then the next day, they sent me another message with no response from me and it had a link to or it had like a listing for someone else and they said, "Hey, check out this listing. this is a lower price than yours. It was also a different colored shoe in a different condition than my shoe. And they said, "I would buy this, but I already have this color. Uh, my offer is very fair."

[00:19:23]So, I blocked them because I don't need that happening up in here. So, all of this to say, I think the shipping on eBay really bothers a lot of buyers.

[00:19:35]I mean, it bothers me that the shipping is so high, but specific buyers, they're going to take it out on the seller and they're going to want even more of a discounted price on their items because they're paying that shipping. And they sort of put it all in as I'm paying this all-in price for these shoes, not considering that us sellers are not making the money off of that shipping.

[00:19:58]Tangent over. Let's get back to these Coach sandals, which was a really good sale because somebody paid full price and I hope that they're happy. I ended up making 2332 off of these. Like I said, I had $9.99 into them and I had a promoted fee on top of that of $1.58.

[00:20:16]So, I think the promotions helped in this aspect. Really nice sandals, 220 days.

[00:20:23]You know, I get chatting in these what sold videos. So, thank you for being here and listening to it. Okay, three more sales.

[00:20:32]No, four more sales. Uh, my Facebook Marketplace sale was a pair of scrubs.

[00:20:37]They were the Figs Casma Threepocket scrub top and the Cade cargo pant. They were a set in the color pink. They were in good condition, but there was some minor um like discolorations probably from being washed um that I did disclose. And I only put these on Facebook Marketplace cuz I thought they would sell really quickly and they really didn't. I had 1998 into these. I started them at $50 because I've had such good luck selling scrubs sets because we have a lot of medical type businesses in my general vicinity.

[00:21:15]Dentist office, chiropractor, doctors, hospitals, all the things. Um but they just took a while to sell. They were a size medium. Um, but after my whatnot show, I got a message on Facebook and somebody was willing to pay $40 for them. I had lowered the price to 40 probably two weeks ago. So, somebody was willing to pay 40. I ended up making 2001 in no 2002 in 103 days cuz I had 1998 into them. I think I paid $9.99 per piece to make that set.

[00:21:52]Next up is a linen top, I do believe, on eBay. The brand is Ryster, and I got this from my consignment sale when they were having 70% off sale. I think this was back in October, so they were clearing out all their summer stuff. It was a size medium, 100% linen, crop neutral oatmeal crossback tank. I did look up this brand, and it does seem to be expensive. Like a tank like this is around $90. It's a very sustainable, eco-friendly brand. It did have a little bit of tension at these underarm seams that I photographed and I listed it for 35. I didn't have much interest on them and then I got an offer for $26 that I accepted. I had $3.87 into this tank and I ended up making $16.35 after paying an additional $1.3 in promoted fees. This was one of those situations where the buyer countered my offer and then they had four days to pay and it did take them two days to purchase the item. So, I wasn't sure it was going to happen, but when it did, I was surprised and happy to get that cha-ching sound out of the blue.

[00:23:07]Second to last sale over on Poshmark is a Viori pair of women's extra extra-L large vintage riptop organic cotton shorts. The color is suede, but they really look tan tan beige. I had them listed at $38. They retail for 64 68 US. I got these on whatnot. I ended up having a coupon from a seller.

[00:23:36]And I ended up getting them for $4.29, which is incredible.

[00:23:42]I had them listed at 38 and I received an offer for 34. So, I decided to accept. I made 22.91 off of these in 32 days. And then after I got this pair, I did purchase the same exact pant in like her show the next day for or the same short the next day for $19 that I still have listed um in my store. And I think it's a size extra large. This one had a slight pen mark that I couldn't get off of it, so I listed it lower. So, I think I have the other pair for $42. And we'll see how that goes. It's going to be a smaller profit though on the next one.

[00:24:20]This one was really good and a quick sale. Hiking season. I was swiping.

[00:24:27]My last sale of the week is another whatnot pickup that I had. This is an All Saints men's size small brace slim fit long sleeve cotton shirt. It was white, which I am very uh nervous about bidding on whatnot. But as I said in one of my previous videos, basically anything that I pick up that's white, I decide to OxyClean. And I did the same with this. It had a tiny discolored spot on the wrist, I OxyCleaned it, and then I washed it in my free and clear detergent. It all came out. It was crispy and white and beautiful. I listed it for $32. It retails for about $88.

[00:25:06]And with All Saints, this sold international. And the other time I picked up All Saints, it also sold internationally. So it must be a recognized brand elsewhere. I picked this up for 536 on whatnot. Nobody bid against me for it. I think she started it at $5.

[00:25:25]So I ended up making um I made 1562 off of this in 11 days.

[00:25:32]This took me a really long time to list again. And um with this buyer, they had to pay $30 in shipping and fees to get it, which they did tell me in a message.

[00:25:45]Um so we did go back and forth on price and they decided that they really wanted it, so they were willing to pay 24 for it. But yeah, I saw that I saw that number come in of like $54 and then it all changes with the international on eBay, so you can't really see it again.

[00:26:03]But yeah, they paid $54 for this. So, I hope they really like it. Those are my sales for the week. I think we're going up. Make sure you come back for my whatn not recap in a couple of days and next Tuesday for another what's sold video.
