VA Disability Pay Being STRIPPED AWAY From Veterans

[00:00:00]Hate is being thrown towards accredited claim agents and attorneys right now, specifically from the claim shark world and people who own unacredited VA claim companies. So, let me just say this. If I was a claim shark, right, man, would I be pounding my chest about how bad agents and attorneys are right about now. And it all stems from this article pushed out by the VA. And listen to me very carefully here. All right. The claim shark people who own nonacredited companies, they are portraying selected information and not the full picture, which is a really bad thing for the veteran community. And if I was them, I would be doing the same thing because uh we know who's on the right side of the fence.

[00:00:48]All right? And so what this stems out what this stems from, and I'm just going to give you the highlights here. Here's how to see attorney and agents fe fees paid by the VA. Um there's the article.

[00:01:00]This is it right here. Last 12 months almost 400 million paid monthly average.

[00:01:07]And so claim sharks are seeing this number and saying look look claim agents and attorneys are bad. So let let me give you an example of what we did last week maybe two weeks ago right? We have a veteran met with them. uh they used a claim company before coming to us, right? We just started our practice.

[00:01:27]This veteran used a claim company. It's funny because the company they used is actually one of the people who uh are reading this article. But anyways, um they used a claim company that failed.

[00:01:39]They came to us and what they filed were some initial claims and increases, which oh by the way, 0. This number right here is absolutely zero initial claims, zero new secondary claims, and zero increased claims.

[00:01:57]Right? This only appeals to HLRs, to supplemental claims, the board of veteran appeals, maybe some CAV C decisions. That's a little that's on the attorney side for sure. Um, and clear and unmistakable errors. Anyways, this veteran that we just met with, right, we found a clear and unmistakable error and that veteran is going to get a paycheck of over $250,000.

[00:02:25]That's what we did for them, right? A nonacredited company doesn't have the skill, the expertise, or even the access to find the cue and so that's money left on the table, right? And so, we're going to get 20% of that. And here's the p here's the thing that people aren't seeing. One, this is from the last 12 months. The what we charge is 20% of retro pay.

[00:02:52]Again, HLR supplemental CMEs, that's what we charge. Um, that's about average. Some uh practices charge 25%, 30%, 33 and a third. So, let's just call it 20, right? Because that's the that's average.

[00:03:08]If claim agents and attorneys brought in 3.94, that's 20%.

[00:03:15]So, what did we bring the veteran community, right? Whatever this times five is, which is a lot of it's a it's a number that I can't even fathom. All right? And so, if I was a claim company, what I would do is say, "Look, agents are bad, attorneys are bad, we're good, right?

[00:03:33]Although they don't do anything for you except coach you and cheerlead you on initial claims, increases and secondary like new secondary claims, right? So listen, if you want to pay a thousand plus dollars to go file an initial claim, go do it. Okay? Go do it. It's you're you're an adult, right? You have you signed the contract to join the military, which is a big one. You can sign a contract to pay a claim company if you want, but I'm telling you, they're not going to find CU and because they don't have the they don't even have the tools present to look for CU and that's it, right? And if that veteran that I talked about that we met with last week or within the last two weeks, if they did not use an accredited practice, that CUN would have been there forever. Okay? And that veteran would have never received a paycheck for $250,000.

[00:04:33]Like that's a life. Imagine getting a paycheck non-t taxable of $250,000.

[00:04:42]That's what agents and attorneys do for veterans, right? That's not even that's a cue and that's not even including going to the board of veteran appeals and getting a very very very fat paycheck, right? So, claim unacredited claim companies, they're going to beat their chest and just talk about how awesome they are. And listen, I'm I'm I am so happy, right? Tongue and cheek. I'm so proud that we have um companies out there who are raking in millions of dollars mi hundreds of millions more than this number actually hundreds of millions of dollars for initial claims and increases.

[00:05:26]You know, you guys should feel real proud about yourself. Um, but hey, this is what agents and attorneys fees have been and five times this amount is what we've brought in for veterans. So, just food for thought. All right, food for thought. Uh, the full picture really, really matters. If you have an initial claim or an increase or a secondary, I'm telling you right now, do not use a nonacredited company. Okay? Don't do it. Now, you're an adult. You can make your own choice and go forth, do great things, but uh you got to understand the full picture here, okay? And agents and attorneys, right? Agents and attorneys have not been painted as the bad guy until until claim sharks got put under the microscope. So, sure, if I was a claim shark, I'd be beating my chest all day, all day. Um, but we're operating within the law and claim sharks aren't. That's just the truth. All right. Anyways, I want to know your thoughts on this topic. It's very It's very heated right now. Okay.
