Modern dating has transformed from traditional courtship to a transactional environment where dating apps prioritize casual encounters over genuine commitment, leading many people to remain single or childless despite wanting meaningful relationships; successful relationships require mutual effort, accountability, and both parties to actively work on compatibility rather than expecting fate to provide a perfect partner.

Added:I'm tired of people telling me that I'm good-looking, talented, I have a great personality, and that everybody would be lucky to date me. And yet, I'm still [ __ ] single. I'm tired of people telling me to put myself out there when I've put myself out there so many times and nothing ever works out for me. It just ends up being super awkward.
Unfortunately, I think dating's been destroyed by modernday dating apps. No one yearns anymore. No one courts. It's all done.
>> At this point, everyone I know is like, "Yo, what's up with dating? What's up with the men in your life?" There are no men in my life. I'm not dating. I'm just [ __ ] out here living. [music] I'm just out here [ __ ] living. Yeah, it'd be cool to have a partner. It also wouldn't be cool to have a partner.
Like, I don't want anyone checking up on me, but I also do want people checking up on me. Friends, man, I don't give a [ __ ] >> I'm so [ __ ] tired of being single.
I'm 24. I've never dated anyone before.
And I never dated. I mean, I've never even held hands [music] with a man. I'm tired of having to be independent. I'm tired of having to do everything by myself all the time.
>> [music] >> Am I the only one who's absolutely done with dating? I'm quite ready to spend the rest of my life being [music] single.
>> Welcome to Masculine Dow.
>> I'm tired of people telling me that I'm good-looking, talented, I have a great personality, and that everybody would be lucky to date me, and yet I'm still [ __ ] single. I'm tired of people telling me to put myself out there when I've put myself out there so many times and nothing ever works out for me. It just ends up being super awkward or they ghost me or I get heartbroken. I'm tired of people telling me to go on different dating apps when I've tried literally every dating app on the market and it's ALWAYS THE SAME [ __ ] GUYS ONLY ever want to have sex or hookup. It's very rare to find someone that wants to go on a date with me and then if I do go on a date with them and then they realize that I don't want to have sex with them right off the bat, they stop talking to me and they completely ignore me and do a whole 180 and act like they hate me since the moment that they met me on the stupid app. And then if I go with women, most of them don't even talk. And the ones that do talk give me very dry conversations. And if I have dates with them, they end up just being my friend.
I'M TIRED OF MAKING friends on dating apps. Like, all these people are amazing and I love them, but I want somebody to love me romantically. I want someone to hold me, someone to kiss me, someone to cuddle with me, someone I can talk to late at night, cry to them. I'm tired of making all of these great friends that don't give me the emotional and physical supports that I need. And I'm so tired of people being like, "Well, it's not your looks that's the problem." Clearly, because I've seen other big girls get into relationships, too. What am I doing wrong? What am I doing wrong? Why am I still single? I'm so tired of it.
>> Wanting love isn't the problem. But if every relationship keeps ending the same way, eventually, you have to stop blaming the entire dating market and start asking what patterns you're repeating. Accountability is where real change begins.
>> So, is there anybody who is actually single anymore?
Because what I've noticed is I attract married men, taken men, men who are confused on what they want to be or who they want to be. I mean, like, where is the single men? Where is the black godly men who go to church and actually really do serve the Lord?
because I don't drink, smoke, or cuss.
So, where is those men who are on the same level as me, the same vibe as me, who would love to do long distance for now until we figure out things, or who would not be biased against long distance. A man who loves kids, a man who puts his woman first, gives her attention, is consistent, and doesn't play mind games. Good men exist. They're just becoming harder to find because many have stepped away from the modern dating market. They're focused on purpose, peace, and staying out of situations that don't offer reciprocity or genuine commitment. Like, is that a thing anymore? Is there really any like godly black men?
For real real? Cuz all I've met is people who are in relationships that try to talk to me. I am single. I'm looking for my forever, my best friend. I'm not wanting to talk to somebody who's married. That's wasting my time. I'm already 39. Just turned it. And I feel like I've wasted I've wasted so much time on people who are actually not looking for anything.
They're actually not consistent and they don't know how to keep a conversation going. So if you ain't him, stop reaching out to me. Have [music] a blessed day. Modern men want genuine commitment too, but they also want reciprocity, respect, and compatibility.
At 39, blaming the dating market won't change anything. The focus has to shift from asking where are the good men to becoming the kind of partner a good man is looking for.
Hey y'all. I just wanted to come on here and fix this statement that I had made before um saying I don't need a man, but I want a man because that's not true. I do need a man. I need a man to be a helpmate with me. That is why God made man and woman to be helpmates with one another. So yes, I do need a man. I need a man to be my best friend. I need a man to be my forever. I need a man to share life with. I need a man to experience life with. I need a man to step in and be the head of the household, to let me step down um and not me have to be um the head of the household. I don't want to do that no more. I need a man to be my rock. I need a man to be my everything.
So, I do need a man. I just wanted to come on here and change that statement because I do need a man and I do want a man. I need am want a man. Anyways, I hope you guys are having a great Monday.
Um, and stay blessed.
Kings, this is what reality sounds like.
After years of, "I don't need a man," she's admitting what many men have been saying all along. We're built for a partnership. There's nothing weak about wanting a strong, committed relationship. [music] >> This is a message for the single girlies in their 30s. I have something that you absolutely have to hear. And this is coming from someone that met my husband at 35. I got married at 38 and just had my first baby at 39. So, I get it. It is rough out there. And this is what you need to hear. I just got off the phone with my younger brother who is 37. He lives here in Austin. I asked him, "What are you up to tonight? It's a Thursday."
And he said that he has two of his guys coming to his apartment and together they're going to practice a new recipe because one of these guys met a girl online dating and wants to make this recipe for her. And so they're all going to make it together and make sure it's good enough. Are you kidding? Like how wholesome and amazing and sweet. And I just couldn't help but share this because I know how it feels to think like all the good guys are gone. And these are three guys in their mid to late 30s that have great jobs. They are single, never been married, no kids, and they are looking for their wives. They are looking for their soulmates. They want to have families. And I just had to share this because I I remember that feeling of there are no good guys left.
They've all been married in their late 20s and it's too late for us. And it is not too late. So, if you are seeing this, don't give up hope. I know for sure there are three amazing, attractive, successful men in Austin that are looking [music] for single gals in their 30s. So, don't give up.
>> This actually proves a point men have been making. Good men are still out there, but they're not chasing everyone.
They're building their lives, improving themselves, and looking for women who are ready for real commitment, not games. I just saw this Tik Tok of this girl saying that um women are not getting courted anymore. Like men are not wanting to court women anymore. Um and you go to the comments and the comments are just so [ __ ] sad because it's women in their like 40s, 50s. Like they've never been on a date. They've only been lusted over. They have never been courted, never even bought a flower, anything like that. And first of all, it's just so [ __ ] sad. But then second of all, I immediately just started to think as a 22year-old, and I've been on plenty of dates. I've been on plenty of dates um with men of all different ages. The thing is there's no there's nothing special about courtsmanship anymore. There's nothing special about it. Like I mean everyone is just so lustful and so sexual. I mean it's like you know the point of being courted is to you know feel special, feel wanted, feel adored and loved. It's just basically [ __ ] love bombing now cuz the ultimate goal is just for them to get you in their bed. Like what is so [ __ ] special about this? You guys aren't missing out on much. [laughter] >> Courtship didn't disappear. Trust did.
Many men stop investing heavily upfront because too many dates led nowhere.
Smart men are slowing down, watching actions over words and making sure the interest is mutual before going allin.
>> Unfortunately, I think dating's been destroyed by modern-day dating apps. No one yearns anymore. No one courts. It's all done for the easiest possible way to get the job done. Get someone into bed or just slap a label on it and say, "Oh, you you're my girlfriend now. You're my boyfriend now." There's no effort. No one no one's interested in actually trying to get someone and keeping them or they do manage to get someone and then the effort changes and it's like well I've got you now so I don't really need to make I don't need to do anything more with that and this is why I say I want to stay single because I don't want half asked. [music] >> She's describing a symptom not the cause. When commitment became optional and endless options became normal, people stopped earning relationships. A lot of men aren't avoiding love, they're avoiding investments with no return.
>> I stopped dating males years ago because I came to realize that dating males is a high risk, high effort, no reward activity.
And it's really funny because a lot of women ask me about dating and I say, "Yeah, I stopped dating 9 years ago. It wasn't worth my time." and they literally cannot believe me. The majority of them are not handsome.
They're not fun to be around. They're not intelligent. They're stingy. They're not generous. They don't take care of their bodies. They don't take care of themselves, period. They can't stay hard for more than 30 seconds. They're baby daddies with kids in different area codes that they don't provide for. They don't get tested. They're annoying. And they're miserable. It is a high-risk, no reward activity to be dealing with men.
Unless they are putting stacks of cash in your hand and turning around and leaving you alone, it is not worth the effort. And for those of you who are saying, you know, the only thing I like about them is laying with them. They don't even do that well. So, what are we really talking about these days? I would rather have my life and not have to perform for a being who's not even on my level. anything.
>> If dating men is supposedly that miserable, then why spend so much time talking about men? The truth is, quality people don't need to tear down an entire gender. They quietly choose what aligns with their standards and keep moving.
>> This might be controversial and I might even get cancelled for it, but you know what? It's real. It's me. It's how I feel. I don't think I have met a smart man. I think men are capable of reading comprehension, maybe even memorization.
Fine. As I get older, I'm nearing my 40s and I'm third wheeling with a lot of my friends. I'm seeing relationships between my family and I don't think I've ever met a smart man. And I mean this in a way where I don't think any of the men that I know could live the life that they do currently without their wives.
Just today I was talking to a friend about some guy not reaching out to her, blah blah blah, and she's thinking if he wanted to, he would.
I think he could want to as long as he lives and he wouldn't because he's not smart.
>> Fellas, that's not wisdom. That's projection. Dismissing half the population as unintelligent says more about the people you've chosen to surround yourself with than it does about men as a whole.
>> It gets to a point where you just have to do whatever you want to get what you want. So, if you want this guy who hasn't texted you back, [ __ ] text him. Do whatever you want. [ __ ] drag his ass to the altar if you want to marry him. And I think that's what it is. And I'm looking at my friends who are in relationships and they've molded their partners to be exactly what they want. And that goes obviously without conversation and discussion, but that's it. I feel like single women forget that every husband that seems to be a good partner has been molded. They didn't come out that way. So stop giving men the benefit of the doubt and do whatever you want with them. They're stupid.
>> Calling men stupid while encouraging women to manipulate them isn't relationship advice. It's a blueprint for resentment. Strong men aren't looking for someone to train them.
They're looking for someone who respects who they already are.
>> At [music] this point, everyone I know is like, "Yo, what's up with dating?
What's up with the men in your life?"
There are no men in my life. I'm not dating. I'm just [ __ ] out here living. I'm just out here [ __ ] living. Yeah, it'd be cool to have a partner. It also wouldn't be cool to have a partner. Like, I don't want anyone checking up on me, but I also do want people checking up on me. Friends, man, I don't give a [ __ ] Phone's dry sometimes and I'm like sad about it. And then it's dry sometimes and I'm like so so [ __ ] happy. And then I like wake up in the morning and I do all of my things and I'm like I just like couldn't imagine being quiet right now for a man that was sleeping next to me, you know?
And then I couldn't imagine being woken up because of a man being loud in the bathroom. Like that'll be my 13th reason.
How do you guys do that? How do people do that? And like I think about how I used to do that like I got red flags and I know that the man's going to have red flags. It's just like a lie. Now if it's my man my man. I'm sure I'm not even going to [ __ ] think twice, right? But that's how I know if that man is not my man. He's going to bother the [ __ ] out of me all the time. Now listen, all of you guys are like, "Well, my husband bothers the [ __ ] out of me all the time." Yeah, I get it. I get it. I get it. I get it. I get it. But also like >> this is what happens when someone wants companionship without the compromises that come with it. A real relationship requires patience, sacrifice, and adapting to another person, not just enjoying the benefits when it's convenient.
>> How much [music] does he annoy you? Cuz I think there's a point where you're like, why are why are you with him? Why are you with him?
I've been single, been living on my own for far too long. I ain't going to just give that up for nobody.
It's going to be [ __ ] worth it.
And my phone's dry because I choose for it to be dry. I could text five men if I wanted to have some flirty banter right now. But I don't want to face the repercussions. I don't want to go and have to follow through. I don't want to do that. I just want to have some fun.
But not all the time. Not all the time.
Things have changed. That's called growth. I'm growing. I'm growing. I don't want to be out here breaking men's hearts. You know what I mean? Like, no.
That's not fun. I don't want to do that.
So, we're going to stay we're going to stay dry. We're going to stay single.
We're going to be waiting for the man to just knock on my door one day. [snorts] I know that's right.
>> Waiting for the perfect man to magically appear while refusing to participate in a process isn't a strategy. The best relationships usually happen because two people make consistent effort, not because one person is waiting for fate to do all the work. Am I the only one [music] who's absolutely done with dating? I'm quite ready to spend the rest of my life being single because this is just another level. Dating in 2026, dating in this culture and in this society.
[laughter] I got to go mad.
Um, why is everyone emotionally unavailable? I'm generalizing and this is probably a pattern that I need to work on, but I have and I'm going to be really honest here. I have never met an emotionally available man. Never. Is it my problem? It probably is probably something I need to work on, but this is just off the charts. I I can't do [music] I can't be doing this anymore.
>> Emotional availability isn't just talking about feelings. Men also look for peace, trust, and emotional stability. If both sides keep saying, "Everyone I meet is the problem, nobody's fixing a part they actually control." Here's some [music] advice for your 30s that is not cute or inspirational from a 55-year-old. That friend you keep giving chances to, she's not misunderstood. She's just like that.
Nobody's thinking about you. Post the thing. You don't hate your job. You hate that you have one. Therapy works when you stop lying to your therapist. Your back hurts because you sit like a gargoyle. Stop saying yes on Monday to things you will resent by Friday. Call your dad. If you have to convince yourself that's the answer. You're not bad with money. You just keep buying stuff. Block him. Block him. Block him.
That hobby you don't have time for. You had 4 hours for Tik Tok and Instagram yesterday. He's not your soulmate. He's just tall. Sunscreen everyday. Yes, even today. The relationship isn't complicated. You just don't like the answer. Stop crowdsourcing decisions you've already made. Floss. I'm serious.
Your future self is begging you. That book on your nightstand, it's not going to read itself. And your ex, he's not thinking about you. He's eating a sandwich. Hope that helps.
>> I'm so [ __ ] tired of being single.
I'm 24. I've never dated anyone before.
And by never dated, I mean, I've never even held hands with a man. I'm tired of having to be independent. I'm tired of having to do everything by myself all the time. I'm tired of having to bring all the groceries up from the car by myself. I'm tired of having to always cook for myself because it's just me.
So, if I don't cook, I don't eat. I'm tired of having to go and do cool and fun things by myself. And I can do it by myself because I've always done it by myself. But it would be nice to have a partner to go out to lunch and dinner with and try all these new experiences with and go to the farmers market with and not having to do everything by myself all the [ __ ] time. I am constantly alone. It's constantly just me. If something happens, the only person I can rely on is me because there's no one else there.
>> At 24, there's still plenty of time. But this is a reminder that relationships aren't just about romance. They're about partnership, support, and shared responsibility. The sooner people stop treating commitment like a burden, the sooner they'll find what they're actually looking for.
>> Quickly want to jump on here and tell you why it is so elite being single in your 30s. All my money, it goes into me.
My skin never been better. All I do is spend my money on facials and Botox and self-care treatments. Look at this. This is like glow away. Can you hear that?
Silence. No screaming babies. NO CHILDREN. NO CHILDREN. ALL I'M GOING TO DO TONIGHT IS go out, drink champagne, and go for dinner. What? That's all I have to do. Then tomorrow I'm waking up and I'm actually flying to Melbourne because last week my friend and I decided to go to the F1. Like literally last week we're like, "Let's go." So we we just go we go. Like I have to pack my bag tonight and I'm also going on a date when I land. So that's a bit exciting.
And I don't know what to wear cuz it's a breakfast date. But these are these are my worries. These are my worries. Like my worries are literally what I'm going to wear to the F1 in Melbourne, like and what I'm going to wear on my date.
>> What?
>> Notice what's being celebrated. Spending money on yourself, traveling, and casual dates. That's fine, but those aren't the things people usually look back on with the most pride. Men chasing legacy are thinking beyond the next vacation.
They're thinking about what last after the picture stopped. [music] >> I'm a queen beating this topic to the ground because I just don't feel represented. Okay, let me tell you why.
You see a lot of healthy, happy relationships. You see a lot of toxic relationship content. You see a lot of like breakup content or situationships or failed this, failed that or like this is going great, whatever, how we met.
Okay. But you don't see a lot of none of that. Uh chronically single and always wanted a relationship. That's me. Okay.
And I talk about this I feel like ever every so often on my TikTok because it's not talked about a lot and I don't want I don't know. I know I'm not alone in it. And even though I feel alone in this right now, some people relate. Okay, I grew up and well, I'm still 22. I'm growing up. I grew up and I'm growing up always a hopeless romantic. Like romcoms are my favorite movies. I think literally since I got a phone, I had a wedding board on Pinterest. I just love love. I love hearing other people's stories about like their relationships.
I love hearing how people met. I just love watching people fall in love.
Everything about [music] it.
>> A lot of good men are in the same position. single, wanting something real, and staying patient instead of settling. The difference is they keep building their lives while they wait.
Hope is good, but action still matters.
And [music] I have always waited for the day for that to happen to me. It's not like I wake up every day and I'm like, [snorts] "Today is the day I meet the man." But it's like it's always in the back of my mind. So when people say like, "Having somebody is expected or you can't look for it," like I'm not out there actively searching, "That's my husband. That's my husband, that's him, that's my man."
like, no, but it's always going to be there because it's always something that I want. It's not like I can get rid of that desire to want a husband and want kids, you know? I used to think something was wrong with me. Damn. Well, maybe I should put my laundry away. I used to think something was wrong with me. Like, it's the way I look. It's my body or it's my face or it's whatever.
Nothing's wrong with me. I know nothing's wrong with me. And so, it's not coming from an insecurity, a dependency standpoint. I'm fine, being independent. I honestly love my life. I love myself. I love the people that's around me. I don't feel like I'm missing anything. I don't feel like I'm missing anything in my life. I do feel like I'm missing out on an experience, if that makes sense. Like, I want to experience the feeling of being loved and I want to experience the feeling of loving somebody in a romantic way. Obviously, I love my family. I love people in a platonic way, but I've never loved somebody in a romantic way. People, yeah, I'm single because I choose to be single. Well, in all honesty, I don't choose this life.
>> She's saying what a lot of single men never get to say out loud. You can have a good career, great friends, and still want someone to build a future with.
There's nothing desperate about wanting commitment. What matters is having the patience to wait for the right person instead of forcing the wrong one. I'm not choosing. [music] No, if it were up to me, I would be I'd be booed up for life right now. I don't want but I go I go through it es and flows, okay? And for the past few months, I was like on the up happy being single. Well, I'm so happy being sent in Love Talk. I'm unhappy. It just wasn't on the forefront of my mind. It's always on the back of my mind, but it wasn't like a forefront thought, but I think rec more recently it has been just because honestly maybe because of Love Island.
[clears throat] Oops. But just want to put it out there that if you have always been single and you want a relationship, it's okay because same. And I feel like people try to make you feel bad about they're like, "Well, you're independent.
Like, enjoy your single time. I've enjoyed." And it's okay to want a boyfriend. It's okay to seek it out. I will say though, the dating apps never worked for me. I don't know where to meet people. Dating is I've never dated.
So, I've tried and I've it's never worked. So, if you're also chronically single, we're in this together. And we all find our people.
>> This is the same frustration millions of good men feel. They want commitment, too. [music] But wanting it doesn't guarantee it. The answer isn't giving up or waiting for fate. is continuing to grow while staying open to real opportunities instead of expecting romance to simply show up one day.
They say, "You're beautiful. You're smart. You look like a well put together woman. Why are you single?" Well, have you seen the options out here in the dating pool for women? I mean, you get on these dating apps and these men are on here with posing with pictures looking all [ __ ] scruffy and [ __ ] like they don't even wash their face or brush their teeth or get a haircut. And then the ones that are wellgroomed get on here acting like they're just on here to pose for a [ __ ] GQ magazine or something, but always talk about they're single and never really approach a woman with anything to [ __ ] offer cuz they're [ __ ] frightened. Well, guess what? I'm a woman with substance. I can take care of me. But however, I do understand what a man's job is to do and his obligation is when he wants to be with a woman. So, with that being said, I think you men need to step your game up.
>> Here's some advice from a 30-year-old single woman. Enjoy your alone time while you're young. The most underrated superpower that is not talked about enough is being able to be comfortable by yourself and thrive on your own. to the people who always need to be dating someone or always need validation from other people and are afraid to be alone.
Spend more time alone, even if you're in a relationship. Before you know it, you can be married with kids if of course that's what you choose for your future.
So, you only have so many years of your life left where you just get to be with yourself and you grow and evolve so much when you're just working on yourself, figuring out what you want, who you want, grinding, working on your goals, enjoying your own company and your own peace. Also, when you realize that you don't need another person, that it's just a want and not a necessity to have another person complete you, you will be unstoppable. And I believe that to my very core.
>> Self-improvement is valuable, but don't confuse independence with immunity to loneliness. The strongest people can enjoy being alone while still recognizing that family, legacy, and genuine partnership bring something success, and solitude never will.
Anyway, that's enough for today.
