The Moment They've Waited Months For... 💔 But Something Went Wrong. 😭🐒Hinzugefügt:
They're on a branch high up. We just move them to HMBB. So now they're cuddled together. Seem a little unsure of the troop right here, but they're very interested and love to look at them from far away.
That's a very good sign.
So, we'll just see how today goes.
So, here we have Salty in the H&B intro cage.
And up there we have Wendle.
They've just been given their food plate.
Well, little Salty and Wendell seem to be settling in nicely and coming down to eat their food, which is always great to see. Um, the enclosure is beautiful at the moment with a lot of greenery around. Um, and also H&M is a very nice area basically to go into. So, we hope they settle down uh very soon and uh start building up interest with the other monkeys uh that would like to be their foster mom. So, we'll just have to see how it goes. They've just got here.
still very interested having a look around, exploring. Uh they are two great friends, so they love being with each other. Uh which is always a help. So we'll just see how things go.
So Wendle on the left, Salty on the right. Wendle is the more confident, but they've both been up at the fence interacting with the monkeys from the trip. Um, this is Wendle.
And we're here at the HMBB IC.
And you can see we have a crowd of monkeys at the door. They don't know it yet, but in about 2 hours, we're going to start introducing Salty and Wendle, two foster moms.
So, the bigger one at the door on the left side of the frame is Millie, and she is very good, mama.
Come on. Yes. Nice.
All right, we've got Mara in.
So Mara very good with the babies in the trip, but this is the first time she's been in with them in the intro cage.
And the reason we want Mara is that she's one of the young adults um who can is also high ranked. So she's also good to be in here with Millie or Hocus, but we don't want to use Hocus and Millie because they are the alpha group. Oh, I don't want all the alpha group members in the cage with the babies cuz I need some of them out in the troop.
So, Mara trying to get to them, but unfortunately they were in having a drink. So, she's going to have to bite her time till they come out.
>> Yeah.
She's got to get just away. I didn't see them two there.
It's hard to see.
>> So, Salty has taken some steps outside the feeding cage. He is pretty chill.
Mara is over there, so he's pretty relaxed. It's just when Mara comes to approach him directly, he gets a little nervous, which is to be expected.
So, I imagine um it won't take them too long to relax fully.
Mara has tried to approach them several times.
So Salty here trying to pluck up the courage to approach the food plate. Get himself a piece of mango.
He's got Oh no.
Not brave enough. There he goes. Is he going to get it? No.
Come on, Salty.
It's amazing how they've worked out that the little uh feeding cage is a place of safety and they can hide in there and uh the moms can't get hold of them.
Wendle makes a quick exit.
So here we have Mary. We have Salty approaching the food plate.
No.
>> So, they're both still very, very wary of Mara, but the food seems to be very enticing when you have a look at that nice bowl there. It's got some mangoes, papaya, uh some nice apples and things on it. And uh I'm sure for a little hungry stomach, um it's just too much.
So, we're going to see them try and go over there and uh sort of join in uh and get some food as well for themselves.
Mom just sorting through the stuff looking for the best juicy bits.
You can also see here that they're not really attached to the mom yet. When a big male walks past the friend fence, they don't run to mom. They sort of climb up a little tree to get away on their own, which this will later change.
Uh when you watch it, you'll actually see if they do get a fright, they tend to go to mom uh for protection. But uh yeah, at the m moment they're not really doing that.
So, they're still a little bit frightened uh of mom. haven't really made uh full contact with her yet, but of course the food is very attractive.
So, they're coming down uh basically to get something to eat, keeping a little bit of distance, but you can even see there's little foots on mom's tail. So, you know, it it's really hard to say.
These little guys do like having some kind of protection and this give them a little bit of confidence and everything.
Mom not doing anything at all. She's playing it very very cool. So, really nice at the moment. how things are going. You have seen none of these two have been screaming or anything about uh being with her or being so close or anything like this. And yeah, they're both together trying to have a look at uh at what they can eat. So, so far it's going very very well. Mom's doing a fantastic job not forcing anything on them and uh slowly and slowly the bond is being formed. You can just see the way they actually look up at her and things like that.
So here we have Mara Wendle to the left.
We've got Salty just run past there on the branches. They're still very unsure of Mara, even though they have been on her belly.
They're still just getting used to the environment and getting used to being with um a bigger monkey.
But hopefully a few days um in the in cage will um form a bond.
So this is Mara coming up to Salty when the branches again.
So yeah, they still very much like and know each other's company. So it'll be nice to see when they are bonded to Mara. Mara is a first time foster mom, which is exciting. We're also seeing how she interacts. She's been super attentive with babies. They're just a bit unsure of her so far. So hopefully the more time they get to spend with each other, they realize she's not scary anymore and that she wants to take care of them.
Yeah. Excited to see this bond develop.
So we have Salty on the FC there with Wendle on top playing got Salty climbing up window following.
So, it's the second day of Salty and Wendor's foster momum integration here. We managed to get Millie in today, which is perfect. Um, so we have Millie, Mara, Salty, and Wendell in the HMBB Foster mom. I see at the top here we have Salty on the branches. Climbing up.
Now we have Wendel.
So, they've been super amazing so far.
They haven't really formed a bond with Mara. It's only been a day, so that's completely valid. Um, but immediately, um, they've gone into Milliey's arms.
It's been super sweet to see. Millie has been a previous foster. Mara hasn't. So maybe um they can sense that Millie is a bit more experienced.
But yeah, it's been super sweet to see them. We've now got the happy family of these four and they will remain here until they form that bond and until they're 3 months old to then be released into the HMBB troop, which will be super super exciting.
do just had Mara go over there.
They're very comfortable with the IC, which is good. Very confident climbers and independent.
Heat. Heat.
So, here we have Millie and Mara coming over. Millie was the first one to come over and Mar just sat on the back there.
Wendell over in Milliey's arms.
Please um We've got Wendle doing his play face and Millie coming over. Mara now joining.
We have a baby on the belly there. Can't quite see who it is.
Um, so it's Wendle on the belly of Millie.
Sorry, it's Salty on Milliey's belly.
And now Wendle trying to play with Millie.
Back to playing again.
So, we got Salty closer to the camera.
Got Wendle lying down here. And we have Millie here already being a super good mom. And they're all so comfortable with her already, as you can see.
They have already been on the belly and a lot of lip smacking has been done and a lot of grooming as well.
You can see Mara here super relaxed now that Milliey's in. Her job of as mom can be a bit more chill now. She's got an experienced mum in have Millie here up at the branches.
You've got Wendle there on the trees swinging. Salty coming over.
both very happy and relaxed.
So, we're very happy that we got Millie in. Um, this is the exact pairing we wanted. So, yeah, incredible. Um, end to the day, end of uh, day two of Wendel and Salty's integration.
So we have Wendel on the ropes.
We have Mara at the door and really just behind.
So it's the secondary with the first time mom.
She's doing super well with the baby.
She's very attentive to them.
So Mara is still a bit nervous.
So it is on the left.
We have Salty eating with me and Mara when on the perch.
So Mara is just behind Okay.
window on the left, Salty in the middle, and Millie on the right. They're in main feet together, and Mara is on the far left. Um, hidden by the tree.
Yeah. All right.
And of course, just like any naughty little kid, Salty tries to grab mom's food and sort of gets gets quickly be put into his place. But you saw she didn't really do anything more than maybe a quick slap, but enough to tell him, "Hey, don't pinch your food from another monkey."
So again, it doesn't look like he had quite learned his lesson uh and still trying to uh take the grass from his mom. But yeah, over time he'll learn.
He's got to respect them and he's got to be a little bit more careful. Uh because of course if he does it to somebody else in the troop uh he can get into a little bit of trouble.
>> And try to go through the fence here.
>> Try to go through the fence. Put your camera through the fence there.
Here we have Salty with Mara.
So, we are a few days into their integration and already they're very comfortable with their moms.
So, of course, you can see now the difference on how well they're actually holding on to mom. So, so a little bomb bond has really been formed there now between Salty and Mara, which is a good thing. So, hopefully it'll just get better and better.
And Wendle joining them there with Millie.
So Mara with Salty on her belly, Wendle next to Millie just there.
So, looks like little Wendle uh he's trying to snuggle up there close to mom.
Little bit jealous of Salty, I think, cuz that's a nice warm spot. Uh he hasn't chosen the other mom, Millie, to go to. So, he's still trying to hang on to onto Mara. Um and I can just see little Salty doesn't care. Fast asleep there. Really happy with where he is at the moment. But, uh, Wendell, I think, is just trying to pull a little bit away and see if he can get into that nice warm cozy place where you just feel safe.
It's been 3 weeks since we integrated Salty and Wendle um to the HMP IC.
So we have the mom here and Millie and they've gone bit defensive but we've seen their bond grow massively. They have come leaps and bounds from when they were first introduced with the mums.
We got a Mr. Windle there. Salty at the back.
She's very intrigued in my camera.
See, she's grooming.
Now the babies are interested as well.
So, as you see, they learn very quickly from their mums and follow what the mums are doing, which is why it's so important that we have the foster mom program because they are learning the monkey skills from monkeys themselves.
here we have on the belly.
The mom's very attentive and the babies are seeking their comfort. So yeah, their bond has definitely grown which is absolutely beautiful to see and we can't wait to see them in the HMBB troop. Yeah, it's been an amazing journey for Salty and Wendle.
Got Millie there. Giving him a little groom.
This is cool.
So here we have Millie with Salty and Wendle.
Then we have Maro just walking beside.
So we plan to release um the HMBB babies. So Salty, Wendell, and Keith man into HMBB uh next week, which is very exciting.
As you can already see, they've got a bond and they're super comfortable around each other. And we have Wendle here just on the grass.
A super confident climber.
And there you see Salty with Millie and Mara.
So yeah, they've got a really nice bond.
And Mara's really learned to be a good foster momum. She's been taught very well by Millie.
And there went to George Wayne and Millie and Salty on the perch.
Yeah, we've been making all the preparations this week for the HMP release. Um, the enclosure is ready and so yeah, they just need their new additions to their troop now. So, we're very excited and we'll keep you all updated.
So, here we have Millie by the tree and we have Salty to the left and we just got So, we have Wendle to the left and Salty's just joined by the tree. We've got Wendel very interested in my camera and then back to Millie and Salty again. Really exciting. Their bond has grown immensely. Uh Millie is an amazing uh foster mom. She's taught Mara what she needs to know. So Mara has become an excellent foster mom as well.
Both babies have done um amazing with their foster moms and hopefully we'll do absolutely incredible out in troop as well. So yeah, we're very excited for tomorrow.
It's a very big day for all of them.
So, here we have Salty on Milliey's belly and we've got Wendle to the left.
We will be releasing them into the H&M troop uh very soon, within the next half an hour.
So Wendell has drank 90 mil this morning. Um but we're still waiting on Salty to drink. Uh we need him to drink some milk before we release him into troop.
Um Mara is pacing. They know that something is going on.
So, here we have Wendle.
He's just been pulled from HMBB because we noticed his eyes were very inflamed and puffy.
>> So, he's going to get his eyes flushed.
>> Sorry.
>> Hi, Ganj. Oh, look at that. They're already more open >> eyes. So I know with usually with wounds we are just like >> Mhm.
>> How much fun did you have with that?
>> Um with eyes we don't do that for obvious reasons. Eyes are >> more um I don't like just pouring out of the bottle because then I've got very little control. Mhm.
>> What I like doing is you see no pressure whatsoever, no needle.
Um, let's do this one. And don't don't move.
Please don't. Okay. Just >> so it's nearly as if it >> Mhm.
>> like rolling above.
>> Yeah.
>> Good boy. This eye >> looks better.
>> I'm sorry. I know. Eyes are always uncomfortable.
>> Usually one should be enough. Do you want to give it a try?
So, here we have Salty. He's back in sick bay due to us noticing this morning that he um had blood over his bum area.
We took him in for a health assessment, got his um bum cleaned and a fecal sample was collected and looked under a microscope by Josie.
Um turns out he has the same parasites um that he came in with. So, we are treating that now. It's a two week um plan. So, we have to delay his release into HMBB for another 2 weeks, which is fine to keep him get him up to full health again. He's loving his rehigh and his prolite from the bunny bottles. And he's doing a lot better than he did previously in sick bay. So, he's a lot calmer, less vocalizations.
But yeah, so hopefully he'll spend a few days in sick bay. Then he'll be returned to his mom Millie and brother Wendell and given another medication in 2 weeks time and that will hopefully clear all his parasites.
So yeah, very unfortunate for Salty, but other than that, he's doing super well. He's got good energy levels. He's gained weight from his last weighing when he was last in sick bay.
and he's enjoying the food a lot while being in here. So, yeah, he's ready for bed now. Hopefully, he'll have a good night's sleep.
And yeah, we're taking very good care of him while in sick bay.
But yeah, he's going to make a full recovery and hopefully very soon he will be released into HMBB troop. So yeah, they're very excited. We've currently been integrating um Keith man. He's been meeting a few He's been meeting a few of the members of troop. So he's met a few juveniles today. Um which is very exciting.
So yeah, Salty and Wendell are next to meet the troop.
And here we have Salty uh in Sig Bay. Uh Salty came into Sig Bay yesterday with signs of um digestive distress. He had some blood on his bottom. Um after collecting a stomle, we found that he had a high amount of parasite eggs. So he was treated with some ivormectin as well as a vitamin C injection to help boost his immune system. He is also currently being treated with antibiotics, arcenium albam and alsic acid. The alsenic acid will help coat his stomach and help protect it against gastritis and possible which are which are quite important for general digestive health. Here's munching on some of his apple from his morning plate. Very happy, very content.
And in two weeks from yesterday, he will be getting another dose of ivormectin, staying here until we're certain that he's all good and his digestive tract is healthy. And then we will release him back to his mom and H&B and he can go home with Wendle.
It's just your body.
Oh, look at this.
I know. I probably should take him.
He's good boy. He said to fit his egg.
Oh, he go. He's nice and warm. He been He's a big chopper.
>> Yeah, he's so comfortable.
I don't want these poops out the poops out.
Oh, inflamed bum.
Okay. Can you see?
A little bit more to get off.
It's a nice clean bottle. Perfect. Good boy. Oh, yes.
It's okay.
Good boy. Hi.
>> Hi, I know you got theies.
Let me try your tail.
A good boy, huh? He's such a good boy.
Not even crying. Just little ch.
Lovely.
Good boy. Nice. Got you fluffy again.
Get you nice and fluffy again.
Oh, y still purple. Still super pretty and purple.
Good boy. Swing the tail.
Good boy. You go on the back side and Michaela put you back in.
Hold that. Thank you.
There we go.
It's nice and clean.
Here we have Wendell and Millie and we are releasing them both with Keefman tomorrow into the HMBB troop.
So we currently have Salty in sick bay and so it's just Millie and Wendel in for now and who will be released into the HMBB troop. Once Salty is better, he will come back to the intro cage and we will try to get Millie back in or Mara who was also their other foster mom as well.
Come on.
That was very well. Of course, you can see uh how comfortable these two basically actually are after a long long day. very very tired and basically sleeping there uh near the troop side so that they can get uh groomed uh if they needed to be but moms are already feeling very safe and fast asleep and little Wendle's eyes are getting more and more tired. So really nice to see how well and relaxed they are and also that he's actually sleeping inside mom's arms which is very very important. So, of course, it means he's feeling safe there and content and it's happy. And you can see she's very happy with her little charge at the moment.
So, very, very nice picture uh of these two basically cuddling, feeling very safe and ready to go out to the troop uh as soon as everybody's ready for them.
Who's jealous of all the attention?
So, here we have Salty back in the HMP IC with Millie and Wendle. We are still in the process of trying to get Mara back in, the mom, the foster mom of Wendell, and but Millie is an excellent mom to both. Um, so yeah, she's we put Salty back and immediately Millie came into the IC. So yeah, it was very, very lovely for Salty to be reunited uh with Millie after a few days apart in the sick bay.
He's definitely preferring being back playing with Wendel.
He's just eating loads of papaya currently. He still hasn't had um milk on his own accord today.
In sick baby is only drinking a small amount each time. Um he doesn't mind the taste. He doesn't um mind suckling on the bottle. It's just we think he's naturally weaned himself off when he wasn't feeling too good and he's just approached. So he's just gone over to Millie for comfort.
I've got Budda in the back here.
So yeah, here we have Salty on Milliey's belly and the day after he's been returned to the HMBB IC.
So I'm doing an observational shift today just to check how sort he is getting on back in the intro cage. He's doing really well. He's eating super good. His energy levels are high. Not as high as Wendles as Wendles is super playful.
But no, he's definitely a lot happier being back um in the intro cage with Millie and Wend. Yeah.
Got the bandits up there lying down relaxing.
As you can see as well, Wendel is very happy to have me Millie back again.
He spent a few days with Harmony, another female from HMBB, but he does have a very special bond with Millie.
They both do.
So, here we have Millie grooming Wendell. It's the morning of their release into the HMBB troop.
They've just had um their breakfast and they're all being purple dyed ready for >> So, of course, little Wendle's actually been marked and ready to go. I don't think he really knows where he's going at the moment, but he does seem to be kind of excited. I don't know if he's chasing some little insect or grasshopper around there. Mom's definitely ready to take him out. So, it's just a matter of time now. She's very relaxed, as you can see. Not really too concerned. Probably getting a little bit of grooming from some of those on the other side. And she's ready to go back to meet her other friends in the troop. Uh little Wendle, as I say, he's got used to them to a little bit. So, it'll be nice to see how these two actually go out and uh how they they foster in the in the troop outside. So, u mom's really really need some more company and uh she is ready to go and as you can see Wendell sticking very very close to her and that's sort of important especially at this time when we want them to basically go out into the troop.
So, somebody's come up with an innovative way to get little Wendle to jump on Millie so that they can go out uh together or at least he holds on to her while she goes out.
open.
>> Not the most orthodox method, but it certainly works.
So, here we have Wendel on Milliey's belly. He's doing super well. He's been following Millie climbing up trees, exploring the troop, and Milliey's doing an excellent job as well.
So, she's just hiding here from a few of the juveniles, but you can see Wendle's just got off the belly here.
Got a few of the juveniles joining. So, we have Sara just behind next to Millie and Wendle just here.
They are back in the middle.
We have one there with Jies.
And you can see Millie. She's just behind So, we've got Wend and Millie here.
And we have carefully been following the sweet one in our hand.
So Wendle's just currently drinking in feeding cage 3. He's previously drank in feeding cage 2 just about maybe over half hour ago. Um, he drank the whole milk bottle and it looks like he could be doing the same. He's drinking quite a lot, which is really good as it's such a hot day.
We have Millie just waiting outside the feeding cage here.
And window coming back out.
>> Coming. Lucas.
>> Going to the water bowl.
>> 60.
>> Nice full bottle again. Here we go.
This man and Skylar back near FC So, here we have Wendel, Millie, and Mara. Mara was the other female who was in the icy with Wendell and Salty. So, it's quite cute to see that they've been reunited within Troop.
You wouldn't even know the little Wendle's all snuggled up there holding on to mom. Probably a little bit camera sh or something, but it just shows you how well the little babies like kind of blend into the moms. You can't really see them at all once they covered there.
Just the discoloration of the of the basic fur. But yeah, mom's giving others a grooming and they're basically forming the bondings that's that's very necessary for a little family group.
Little Wendle having a little bit of fun with a with a young male.
So, we've got Herbert chasing Wendel around.
>> It's actually Herbert. I doubt you'll recognize him. Came in in 2022.
Fostered by by um Skyler just going. I'm following Millie.
So, we got Wendle here with Tufty. And I can't quite see the other one, but he's being groomed in the shelter.
And we've got Millie just on the floor beside them.
And we've got Keefman somewhere in the trees up here playing with the juveniles as well. So, yeah, really positive day today despite this. Well, as you can see, nothing always works out the way you plan. There can always be tiny little hiccups along the journey, but it's so nice in the end just seeing these little guys come out, bond with their moms, join the rest of the troop, and get looked after so well and uh start having so much so much fun playing with little juveniles uh and just being part of this whole little monkey family. And this this is all due to your help. Thank you everybody out there for your donations, your support in your times of need, for helping us out. We really do appreciate it. For those that are sharing the videos, for those watching the adverts, thank you very much. We really appreciate it. And we'll see you next week.
