The Gyan mobile suit received comprehensive buffs in the May festival update, including active guard and damage buffer on its shield arm, new hide bombs that hang longer and cluster, the ability to fire all weapons while boosting, and increased maneuver armor providing damage reduction during boosting. Gundam Battle Operation 2: Gyan Can Fire All Its Ranged Weapons Boosting Now And Has Active Guard!Added:
Hey everybody, it's Rob from Flail Throughs. This is Gundam Battle Operation 2 and this is a round I got in the recently buffed Gyan.
As you probably know, it is May or it is well, it was May. It is it which is the festival buffs update for this half of the year. Next one will probably be November and that's when 30 things instead of 10 get a buffed at the end of the month and they tend to be more comprehensive overhauls. So, yeah, and the Gyan definitely got overhauled. It now has active guard and damage buffer on its shield arm, you know, as these things go, a shield that is does not count as a shield in game terms gets like special arm equipment buffer.
Uh and yeah, this this round started kind of rough, but I'll I'll get to that in a moment. Um and yeah, it also has active guard and I'm pretty sure those are cumulative.
Like they they they the damage reductions are calculated like one after the other.
So, yeah, had a had a really rough start here and I was starting to get really kind of kind of uh cranky here.
I forget what tell I was looking for, but I did not have it. So, just decided to skip it and jump back in.
But yeah, um in addition to those those things, it now has a new set of hide bombs that hang in the air for a lot longer and they do sit still in a cluster.
They're kind of like how the hide bombs worked originally before they made them uh you know, move uh made them uh move and slightly uh seeking. Yeah, capture beacon is what I was looking for, so figured I'd just go do it.
Uh but yeah, so that's not bad and all of its weapons now can be fired while boosting. The needle missiles can fire while boosting.
Both flavors of hide bomb, I'm pretty sure it can be firewall boosting.
It is really nice.
And if you can get in, you can do a lot with it. You're still You still do have the same obstacles to getting in though.
Uh does now have a higher level of maneuver armor, which uh actually provides a damage reduction while you're boosting.
So, and I really should probably should have done something smarter than just, you know, go in circles after the scale good cannon.
But, I can't I can't tell you after, you know, trying to deal with that goof for so long how irritating it was to have it shoot me in the back, but it happens. And I'm just waiting for waiting to get knocked over by this gym Spartan. Yeah, like I said, this the beginning of this round is just very frustrating and I was getting to that point. I've talked about it before. I'm glad that didn't stun our camper.
Uh Oh, and I caught a a counter, too.
Nice.
Uh And I've talked about it before, you know, once once a team stops trusting one another, it is really hard to get that back.
So, yeah, I just ran over here since we I managed to wipe the enemy team, I needed repairs.
And I decided to go for that, and while I'm sitting there stewing and getting grumpy, somebody came over and actually helped me repair.
And, you know, just that let me take a deep breath and actually think about what I was doing.
So, I I'm I'm really really grateful for that. Yeah, you can see them using the repair tool on my shield.
And uh yeah, like I said, really grateful for that.
And again, made me stop and think, and you're going to see me I think working a little bit better with the rest of the team for the rest of the round.
Just some uh sometimes, like I said, it is it is hard to get uh get, you know, that trust in a bunch of strangers back when it's gone, but sometimes it can happen and it works.
So, yeah. Okay, yeah. Decided to go over here, saw I think it's a proto Gundam going after uh one of our folks.
And yeah, pulled back. I didn't want to uh get in somebody else's melee there.
Managed to stop that uh hover goof, which those things are vicious. I'm glad I finally got one cuz it is it is nasty.
So, yeah. Trying to uh stay with the group and find good opportunities.
There's enough of a pause after the first uh uh swing and the Gundam combo that if you want to kind of pivot and down swing like I just did, there is time to do it.
So, that can work very well.
Uh but yeah.
Like I said, this, you know, just I This ends up being a very close one. I don't think we win it, but I wound up feeling a lot better about it than I expected to when the round started. So, just you know, some some days that this game is just a problem, and that's just kind of how it is. Oops. Expected that to work.
Didn't quite, but needle missiles finished it off.
And yeah, just like some yeah, just sometimes just being remember reminded to you know, work well with your team and just you know, tried your very best to uh yeah, I I was hoping I'd see where the pilot was and managed to pinpoint them with the needle missiles.
So, yeah. Just sometimes just being reminded to work well with the team is is, you know, everything basically.
And yeah, as you can see, we've managed to get the lead from where we started it out. That's pretty good.
And yeah, I probably should have stopped to help uh help repair people, but uh yeah, I wanted to kind of stay out and just uh play defense in case anybody came over the hill uh after them.
That said, they are starting to come over the hill now. One of the things one of the like under-appreciated things about the needle a needle missiles, I hope it's still like this. I have to be honest, I play with the sound off most of the time, but if you don't the needle missiles make a tremendous sound.
And I want to see if I could I was trying to get that infantry, but I could not do it without I wasn't sure where they were and I didn't want to stun my allies, so I decided to just get back into the fight.
So, I think that means we're going to be doing some more defusing in the second as I recall.
See. That kind of connected. I did at least stop that I think it's a Spartan or is it the gym raid? It's the gym raid.
Yeah, Jim Spartan I believe uses a very similar heat knife, but it only uses one of them. So, I keep forgetting.
And there's that.
That was a I think that was a proto gun that went over my head. Only Yeah, I should have done the neutral cuz the neutral has a little bit of a a little bit more of a an upwards motion to it as you bring the sword up.
So, it's easier to hit things on the ground with the neutral than it is the down swing. The down swing if you're if you're fighting something that's slightly elevated, you can you can hit it full on and do a lot of damage, but on even ground, yeah, just neutral neutral left or right neutral is probably going to get you more damage out of off of a grounded enemy than the down swing and I always forget that.
But, we are back the bomb is planted again. We have unfortunately uh lost the lead, but once again, pilot themselves selves exposed.
And but yeah, needle missiles make the noise of a much larger explosive, so Yeah, unfortunately, number four I don't think I I was doing very well by, but otherwise this like I said, this round got a lot better after after I actually stopped to think. Funny how that works.
But, yeah, and there is there's the proto, which is stopped in place now.
We uh we both have priority three, so we bounced, but that gave the uh team an opportunity to do something about it because yeah, the thing about uh the thing about bouncing is it does not protect you from anybody uh anybody else's uh attacks. So, if you're surrounded by enemies and you bounce, you have a major problem.
And there's uh got the assist, and yeah, we are going to unfortunately [snorts] not have time to finish this person off, so we're going to uh you know, go from a kind of bad start to coming in 200 points under. So, but like I said, you know, it wound Yeah, we've got next one, and I believe ultimately, you know, I think I won my next round. I hope everybody here did cuz yeah, worked out very well, but I wound up with 3,100 points and 101,000 damage. Also six and two, so yeah, worked out uh much better than I expected at first, so if you were on this team and you're out there, good playing with you, and that is going to do it for today's Gundam Battle Operation 2.

Okay, so first up again, got of course the new high bomb weapon.
Uh hit points were increased from 16,500 to 18,000 at level one.
Uh got an extra part slot in each of its three locations.
Uh at level one, it went from 17 to 18, nine to 10, and two to three.
Now has active guard level three.
Uh has special arm equipment buffer level three.
And at level three and above, it gets level four of that. Uh it gets maneuver armor uh level three at at first level.
Get that also becomes level four at level three and above.
And yeah, that's I believe those are the levels of maneuver armor that uh increase uh your damage reduction when you're boosting as well.
Uh let's see, needle missiles got an extra 25 points damage each at uh level one.
Uh higher build stun.
And yes, you can now use them while boosting. Again, beam saber actually got an upgrade in terms of uh damage from 2800 to 2900 at level one.
You can use the hide bombs uh while boosting and I'm pretty sure the new ones you can as well.
And yeah, so pretty solid overhaul.
At 400, the average win rate for raids is 50.2%.
Again, was at uh 46.8. Not terrible, but could definitely use improvement. Rival win rate 50.4%. Again, was at 48.9.
Damage dealt, it was pretty close.
72,009 is the average and it was at 70,000.
However, MS losses were kind of terrible. Uh another like 60% of a mobile suit went from uh the the average is 3.8, it was at 4.4.
Level two at 450, numbers don't uh numbers got worse. Um 50.3 is the average win rate for raids.
It did uh 44.4.
Uh rival win rate 50.3 on average for raids, it was at 40.6. Damage dropped a little bit and of course, you know, higher cost damage average goes up.
Um yeah, so 74th uh point three is the uh you know, 74,300 is uh the average damage dealt and again was at 69,000.
And yeah, still about a half a mobile suit above most others. 3.8 is the average for raids, 4.3 is where the Ganh lived.
500, that continues. Yeah, pretty much the same trend. 50% win rate, 43% for the Ganh.
Uh average raid uh win rate at rival win rate rather uh is 50 uh point two percent.
And it's 40.3 for the Ganh.
Uh damage has actually come up, but so again has the average by quite a bit. It was doing 74,000 against a breed average of 81.
And slightly less uh of a problem with losses. It's down to like a point four difference instead of like point six, point five.
Uh 3.8 is still the average uh number of MS lost for raids at 500, and 4.2 is what the Ganh was doing.
Then at 550, yeah, uh raids actually get a little bit of a jump there in their win rate. 50.9% on average, and Ganh was 42.3.
51% rival weight uh rate win interest rival win rate brain.
That's not bad, and Ganh was down at 37.
Damage dropped again. Uh this time went down to 73,000, and the raid average jumps up to 86,866.
Interestingly, this is where the uh raid amount of losses starts to drop off as uh as well. It's 3.6 as opposed to 3.8, and the Ganh goes up to 4.4. So, yeah.
This hopefully these uh new buffs will help with that, but they're certainly fun if nothing else.
