This is Banff National Park, deep in the Canadian Rockies, >> [music] >> home to some of the most surreal colored water on the entire planet. Glaciers grind rock into microscopic [music] dust as they move, thousands of tons of it.

[00:00:17]That dust, while called rock flour, flows into the lakes [music] below and never sinks.

[00:00:22]It stays suspended and reflects sunlight back as this [music] color. During peak melt season, the color becomes almost violent. Some lakes look lit from [music] below.
