This discovery turns a 1.5-second flicker of starlight into a profound lesson on the hidden complexity of the solar system's fringes. It brilliantly proves that scientific significance isn't measured by scale, but by the precision of our observation.

This frozen rock has a WHAT?Added:
Astronomers just found an atmosphere on a frozen rock that shouldn't have one.
And the way they found it is genuinely at the edge of our solar system near the planet Pluto lies this frozen rock smaller than most countries. As the rock passed in front of a star, astronomers expected the stars light to vanish. But instead, the star solely faded over a period of 1 and 1/2 seconds. That tiny delay told them something was bending the light, something thin, something that shouldn't be there, an atmosphere.
And astronomers have no idea why it's there at all. It could be volcano activity or a cosmic collision. But here's what this really means. If a world so small can have an atmosphere, then what else is out there that we have no idea
