Their light colored fur reflects sunlight to help keep them cool. Orexes travel long distances searching for plants and water. They are strong desert survivors built for life in dry environments.

[00:06:50]The ostrich is the world's largest bird.

[00:06:53]Even though ostriches cannot fly, they are incredible runners.

[00:06:59]An ostrich can run very fast across desert planes using its long, powerful legs. Their large eyes help them spot danger from far away. Ostriches live in some of Africa's hottest environments and are perfectly adapted for desert life. Even the hottest and driest places on Earth are full of life and amazing creatures.
