First Time Seeing SHOHEI OHTANI Pitch For The Dodgers!Added:
The day Shoi Otani left my Angels for the Dodgers is genuinely one of the worst days of my life as a baseball fan.
And as much as I do not like the Dodgers, I cannot forget everything Shoe did for us. I will always be rooting for his personal success. He is no doubt the best player in baseball, hitting like an MVP while also being a Sai Young caliber pitcher. I saw him pitch plenty of times when he was on the Angels, but never on the Dodgers until today.
Art is with me today and I'm shocked to learn it's also your first time watching Showy pitch for the Dodgers. First time.
>> Yeah. No matter where he goes, I'm going to want to see him pitch. Especially this year. He's killing it. Sub one errace, >> dude. Yeah, he's looking at Sai Young with serious contention.
>> Yosho Yamamoto game seven celebration bobblehead. He doesn't look like Yamamoto.
>> No.
>> No, I don't think that looks like Yamamoto, bro.
>> No, not really. Almost looks like a white guy.
>> Yeah, like so that's my nine out of 10.
Have Shi doing some pregame warm-ups over here.
>> Since this is both of our first time seeing Show pitch, let's give our predictions. I say he goes six and a third, gives up two with 5Ks.
>> You heard it here first. No hitter.
>> Damn. The ultimate prediction. Not going to lie, I don't think Art's crazy for that one. They're playing the Rockies and the way Show is pitching this year, it could happen. First batter and he got him. First batter, first day. Hey, 26 more and on two strikes popped up. Easy play right there. Two down. It could happen. Still intact. And that's right.
It's still going. All right, you made it through one inning. Broken. Turns around, puts the glove down, grabs the bat. Only guy. Scores first through a bonder. Oh, it's a GOOD SHOW. He's a goat. It's undeniable.
>> How about that for a first inning? Only guy in the league that can do that. By the way, I love show. I'm naming my first son. Show Christina. I'm naming our first son. Show >> giving himself the early LEAD HERE.
And it will die.
>> Got to be stronger.
>> Yeah. Lift some more weights. Sitting in right field. Freddy Freeman up to bat.
You having some memories?
>> That's still the greatest game I've ever been to in my life.
>> We did it. We did it.
>> I was really running around right here when he hit that home run. THAT'S I'M HAVING A FLASHBACK. I'M HAVING A FLASHBACK.
We did it.
We did it. We did it.
>> Freddy must have heard us talking about those memories, dude. He's like, "Let me recreate it for you." Another one. All three mega contracts going to go yard.
He didn't get enough.
to the mound. Show you the old time.
Johnson to right. Get there.
>> Every single one has that one play.
>> That's the kind of play you would have.
>> Sometimes it happens in the first, sometimes it happens in the third.
Sometimes it happens in ninth.
>> I'll never forget the one Dwayne Wise made. You remember that one for the White Sox? Mark Murley.
>> You don't remember that? In the ninth he climbed the wall. I can't I'm going to pull it up.
>> MAKES THE CATCH.
And on the ground, he got it. Oh my god.
Defa in this inning.
>> Let me hit the brakes on this video to bring you a very exciting announcement.
I've had a dream of visiting every single MLB stadium since I was a child.
And I'm about to make that dream come true. Checking off my 30th and final ballpark, Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins. This is when I'm going to be there. If you see me, feel free to say hi. Let's take a pick. And if you got a dream, leave it in the comments.
Manifest. Let's make it come true.

>> Ground ball left side stopped and short by Tobar up spinning and throwing. Oh, what a play.
>> Got to say that was a hell of a play by Tovar. Tasker Hernandez might have injured himself on that play.
>> Couple days for the Hernandez.
>> Yeah, Kik just got in today too. After seeing it, I got a solid feeling that he's not going to be in left field next time. out the game and in comes Haong Kim.
>> Another full cow here and looking. We got to work on the pitch count. He's at 44 already. A >> lot of pitches.
>> Yeah, need to cut that down. Two strikes and swinging this time. Two outs and hits it right in Mooky and three outs through three.
>> Certain someone who used to play for the Angels and is now on the Dodgers is doing pretty good as a pitcher tonight.
That's all I'll say.
>> Why you rocking that, bro? I'm six I'm 6 feet now, bro. We got to get the out.
Roll over.
>> Oh my god. One run, >> dude. Dude, there's been so many close calls, bro. I don't know about you, but one run doesn't doesn't feel the same. A run did come in, but it's still happening. Two strikes. THEY STRUCK HIM OUT. THERE YOU GO. STAY INTACT. Like the coolest dog ever. Check this out, bro.
He's even got his own shades. Thank you very much. Thank you very much, Bonnie.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank god I grew up with dogs, bro. Most people probably be like, >> you want a card, Wally? You want a card?
I got you.
>> We just got back from catching up with the homies. Dodgers got that run back.
So, they're up by two again.
>> He walked the lead off, man. Now we got another full count >> and that'll be popped up right there. It does feel a little odd with him giving up a run. Not exactly the same, but it's still it's still happening.
>> Run, that's good. Earn run.
>> Bam. So as of course his stats too and strike three and oh no it's staying in and P three OUT >> somebody's got experience with these you got through five that's when you start to go whoa look at that hey let him ride it out bro >> skip his next story >> he's almost a 90 pitch >> skip it with that >> I know Art wants him to go until his arm falls off but this It's probably the last inning if we're being realistic.
>> Full count on the first batter and all right, strike out.
>> 94 pitches. Come on. Nolan Ryan went 150 back in the day. He's good enough with to throw the whole game. The >> run scored on a ground up. Two outs. P right there. Oh my god. And that one is easy. That's three outs. Oh my god. If we're feeling real ballsy tonight, he'll be out there in the seventh. But he's only a few pitches away from 100. So, we'll see.
>> Hey, go one more bullpen, bro.
>> Is it? We can already tell. Oh, yeah.
The door's open.
>> It's bullpin. Show's not done.
>> Will Klein, we all know what Will Klein did in the World Series. But the pressure, this has to be like right underneath that. Make a play.
>> Wide to left field.
>> Make a play line in foul territory.
reaches over the top of the whole shot.
In the round of third and eats up my officially a field there's a there's more important things happening right now. Al Tanner Scott.
All right.
New picture Scott.
>> Kyle Keros is pinch hitting son of Dodger legend Eric Keros. Two strikes and later.
>> That ties the longest I've ever seen, bro.
>> Yeah, we don't need the toe.
>> My hands are getting sweaty now.
>> Rockies are being ruthless, pinch hitting all their righties. And that's strike three. New record for art. Oh my god.
Oh, breathe, bro. Breathe. Two strikes.
NO.
Oh my god.
Art is frozen, bro. He's like a statue.
Damn it. There goes Otani's first ever no hitter and would have been Art's first ever no hitter.
>> Damn, bro.
>> Hey, I wanted it too, bro. I wanted it, too.
>> That's frustrating, bro. It is.
>> We're winning, but it doesn't feel the same. Like, >> Nah, we won the game, but we lost it emotionally, bro.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I think we got to do an emotional check-in with the explicit boys, too. Nah, bro. What happened, bro?
>> Turns on the ball, HIT HARD TO LEFT FIELD. IT IS GONE.
>> I'LL TELL YOU WHAT IS the best center fielder in baseball.
>> Hey, home run, BRO.
Look at the PARTY ANIMAL. LOOK AT THE PARTY ANIMAL. HEY. HEY.
>> Cool run and all, but for real, emotional checkin.
>> Honestly, it was a little Mickey Mouse.
They had a run on the board. So, I got to see a real one. So, I I I'm okay with it.
>> Here's the thing. If it did happen, a lot of people around us would say, "Oh, well, it was BS because of this, because of that." So, you know what? Everything happens for a reason. Give it a couple more games and we'll see one.
>> Really about to be a one hitter in three. One hitter.
Oh my gosh. One hit. Are they just rubbing it in your face now?
>> Yeah, they're just rubbing it.
>> You see that?
>> Did I kill you? Where my dogs at? That's the big dog right there. Let them know.
>> Yeah, >> let them know.
>> We were so close to history. I wanted to see it. I wanted my boy Art to see his first snow hitter. Maybe one day. Like the video, subscribe, all that good stuff. I will see you next time.
