Y'all, Stacy Abrams is in a lot of trouble, people. She is being subpoenaed by the Georgia Senate, y'all. They want her to come in and testify about y. Well, you're going to see today. We're going to leave that. We're going to leave that as a bit of a wait and see if you will, but let me just tell you various different things that are going around in the air with Stacy Abrams. You probably already know about the two billies, the $2 billion that the Biden administration set aside for Stacy Abrams. They're still fighting over that in court, y'all. So, I'll give you the latest on that for people who want to know what's the latest of Stacy Abrams NM trying to get their hands back on the two Billies because for for now it's Frozen. And also, in case you didn't know, I'm I'mma tell y'all something y'all just rock with me. Okay, we got to develop this out. Okay, we have to develop this out y'all. Stacy Abrams has an MO, a modus operandi, if you will.

[00:01:18]Okay, she founds organizations, right?

[00:01:22]And then somehow she just I don't know disappears from she gets ghost. She gets ghost from her organizations and then they go off and do some stuff. Okay. And it's like well she founded it but she wasn't there when they did the stuff.

[00:01:35]You're going to see that here today y'all where she Okay. So that's that's the same thing with the the the the Biden $2 billion. Oh no. She just founded that. She she just she she was just involved in the organization and the founding of it. She's not actually getting the $2 billion herself. Okay.

[00:01:52]Sure. Same thing with this New Georgia project that was fined $300,000, which was the largest fine in the history of this Georgia Ethics Commission. You're going to see that here. So, she's now having to go answer questions about, yo, what are you doing? That's going to be Friday, y'all. So, we'll definitely be back for that. But for now, let's get more information on this subpoena and how your girl is going to have to go and answer questions. Y'all, without further ado, let's go ahead and get into it.

[00:02:22]>> Ethics Commission find the New Georgia Project, an organization founded by former Georgia Representative and gubanatorial candidate Stacy Abrams $300,000.

[00:02:32]>> Yes. So, this complaint alleges violations of campaign finance law in 2018 and in 2019. Joe Ripley is joining us now with what's behind this fine. And Joe, we're talking about $300,000 here.

[00:02:44]This isn't a small fee. What did you find out?

[00:02:46]>> Not at all, Fate. This is actually the largest fine imposed by the state ethics commission ever. It comes after a multi-year investigation into complaints at the organization, the New Georgia Project violated campaign finance laws and failed to report how much money it earned and spent. According to a consent order, the Georgia State Ethics Commission found the New Georgia Project violated campaign finance law tied to Democrat Stacy Abrams run for governor in 2018. and the martyr expansion referendum in Gwynet County in 2019.

[00:03:14]Both losing battles. In the consent order, the New Georgia Project admitted to the 16 violations, including a failure to properly register with the Ethics Commission and a failure to disclose more than $4 million in campaign contributions, plus more than $3 million in spending. In turn, the Ethics Commission finded the group $300,000, the largest campaign finance related penalty, in state history. So, what you're going to see here is that Stacy, like they're gonna be like, "Hey, what does Stacy know?" You know, this is kind of a slick way of operating, y'all.

[00:03:45]You just go around all of these different organizations. You maintain some loose ties with them. Maybe get your grubbies on some moonagy, but you don't stay to operate on the day-to-day level. You don't stay pulling the strings. And then when they get in trouble or when there's a problem, it's like, "No, I just founded that." Like I I wasn't that's just something I was involved in in getting off the ground, but I I wasn't the one who did all of the the dirty deeds.

[00:04:13]>> Commission first looked into a complaint in 2019, but a series of legal battles from the New Georgia Project delayed a decision for years. Cody Hall, an adviser to Governor Brian Kemp, is now questioning what, if anything, Abrams knew and when. Not only has the New Georgia Project been levied the largest campaign finance fine in state history, they have also agreed with every a single accusation made by the ethics commission in their investigation.

[00:04:41]>> Legal counsel for the New Georgia Project responded to the consent order in a statement, saying they were disappointed in a court ruling that was overturned on procedural grounds. They add, quote, "We are glad to finally put this matter behind us so the new Georgia project can fully devote its time and attention to its efforts to civically engage and register black, brown, and young voters in Georgia." And when asked today if the state ethics commission found reason to believe Stacy Abrams herself violated any laws, executive director David Amati said that was still under investigation. Here, Fox News reports Stacy Abrams hit with subpoena in alleged campaign finance violation saga. No one is above the law. The Georgia Senate is ramping up its investigation into alleged campaign finance violations tied to Stacy Abrams's voter outreach group with a top lawmaker vowing to follow the facts wherever they lead as subpoenas have been issued to Abrams and other key figures. The Senate Special Committee on Investigations announced Monday that Abrams along with new Georgia product leaders Lauren Groargo and Nay must appear before lawmakers at the state capital at 10 a.m. on Friday.

[00:06:04]Quote, "The committee has a responsibility to follow the facts wherever they lead." quote, said Republican State Senator Greg Doolazol, the committee's vice chairman. Quote, Georgia law requires transparency and accountability in our elections.

[00:06:21]Quote, the subpoena stem from findings by the Georgia State Ethics Commission that the New Georgia Project and its affiliated action fund violated campaign finance laws during the 2018 election cycle. Look at your girl there, y'all.

[00:06:39]The groups admitted to 16 violations earlier this year and agreed to pay a $300,000 fine, the largest campaign finance penalty in Georgia history. New Georgia project shutdown and dissolved in 2025 following mounting financial and legal troubles. So y'all, we're going to see if your girl shows up on Friday for her subpoena to testify. We will see y'all.

[00:07:08]This is a little bit of short notice. I wouldn't be surprised if she says e can't make it and they push it back to another date. But in the meantime, and in between time, y'all, as I said earlier, they're still trying to get their grubbies on those $2 billion, those gold bars that the Biden administration threw out to them as it was winding down its one term. its first and only term in the United States presidency. And let's get an update on that, y'all. I've been checking the docket every few days to see if there's any update, y'all. So, while we wait for a ruling on whether or not the case can even go forward in the district court, federal district court, uh let's let's get an update on where things stand as of now. So, while Stacy Abrams's side may say that the president can't just unilaterally take the money back, Senator Capido says, "Well, we're Congress. We appropriated the money and we can unappropriate the money. We have the power of the purse and we going to do what we want to do. It's our prerogative."

[00:08:12]>> If you look at what the money that has been appropriated by the Congress, the Congress has the power of the purse and the appropriation power. Uh, is he usurping the power? And there's something called the empoundment act. Is he impounding those funds? Uh and uh is he is he permitted to do that as the executive? And I think that's a that's a well-grounded debate. And personally, I think for the separation of powers that we need as a Congress to remain uh hold of the purse strings uh as we as we move forward. He can set the policies and have all that. We're the ones who are the funders. And so we have to, I think, retain that power.

[00:08:54]>> So here's a quick update on where things stand. When the $2 billion, when the Biden administration left, they left this $2 billion to these Stacy Abrams organizations, right? Trump came in, he stopped the money. Abrams and them sued.

[00:09:11]Now, I'm just putting her name on it because she was one of the founders. So Abrams and them sued. They were like, "Yo, Biden left us this money. Trump them stopped it. Court, this money is already appropriated to us. Give us the money. Long story short, the court blocked the money for now and then ruled, "Hold up, you shouldn't even have sued in this court. This is a contract dispute. You should have sued in a whole another court." So basically, they dismissed Abrams Nem's claim. They're like, "Look, you sued in the wrong place." Well, they appealed to the appeals court. And now, now remember, they're trying to get this 2 billion back. The court said this isn't even the right court to sue in. And now a whole new question has opened up because the big beautiful bill repealed the money.

[00:09:59]So now you not only have the question of is this the right court to sue in, yes or no. It was previously ruled that no, but again they Abrams and them appealed.

[00:10:08]But now you also have the question is do you even get the money even if it's the even if this is the right court because the big beautiful bill took the money back. Okay. So the court is weighing those two questions. Is this the right court? And if it is, did the big beautiful bill taking the money back mean you don't get the money? So that's where we stand as of right now, y'all.

[00:10:29]And we're waiting for a ruling on all of that to come out. I imagine any day. So yeah, y'all. your girl Stacy Abrams. She is I would say she's in trouble, y'all.

[00:10:41]But you know what? She's She's slick, y'all. She's slick with it. She has a lot of support on the left for some reason. Some She's like iconic for some reason. But she seems like she's in trouble, y'all, because this the Georgia State Senate feels like she may have done some dirty deeds as it relates to campaign finance violations. But Abrams, y'all, she's slick, y'all. She knows to just set up these organizations and then leave the dirty deeds to somebody else if they must be done. That's my opinion.
