The video masterfully exposes how administrative "convenience" is weaponized to bypass democratic scrutiny and enforce digital surveillance. It is a sobering reminder that the erosion of privacy often happens through a nudge rather than a shove.

EVERY Driver will have Digital ID!Added:
Driving license changes launching this year will see digital ID rolled out for millions of Britons. This news is breaking news. It's just come out and there's a lot to talk about in today's video. So, I want to start off with what we all know to be fact. Digital ID was announced last year and it led to one of the biggest petitions in British history to try and get it completely abolished.
Now, what the government did instead is said that digital ID would not be mandatory. They're still planning to roll it out. They're still planning to go ahead with all of the systems and of course all of the technology behind it and of course the public roll out, but they're saying it would not be mandatory. Now, of course, we all kind of went, it's good to hear that, but we knew it was a matter of time until they started rolling out mandatory elements to it. And that brings us to today. To understand how digital ID works and things like passports, driving licenses, we need to look at what system the UK currently has. So the UK government have developed this gov.uk one login portal.
Now this portal is basically the backbone of everything. This will be the software the platform behind digital ID.
It's currently the platform behind passports and things like benefits and stuff in the UK. But it's also the biggest driving concern around digital identification. As many MPs have spoken about in the past, as well as cyber security experts, and even YouTubers and the media, the press, and your dad's dog's brother's uncle, the one login system was built on unsecured workstations in Romania and has been repeatedly breached on numerous occasions. And by the way, they only knew about the breaches because it was a red team doing it and it was their job to tell the government that they were being breached. So, why is all of this context important? Well, later this year, the British government are going to be changing the way that driving licenses work in the UK. At the moment, they're not part of the one login system or the one login portal. At the moment, to apply and gain a new driving license, it's part of a different DVLA system entirely. Now, what the British government are going to do is bring this into the one login system. Yes, the one that's proven to not be secure. and automatically without your permission without your consent you're going to be automatically enrolled into the one login system which by the way is just the back end for digital ID now very quickly I want to say before we dive into all of this being tracked and traced at the moment is a very big part of the government's agenda and it's not just the UK it's happening across the EU and even America at the moment are talking about doing their age verification system which is absolutely insane if you want to regain some control of your digital privacy Make sure to check out Private Internet Access at the link down below. Motorists will soon see revolutionary new digital driving licenses rolled out as part of the government's move to provide more online services. Millions of people across the UK are expected to be able to sign up for a digital driving license this year following extensive testing by the government digital service. Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander confirmed that digital driving licenses would be introduced in January last year as part of the gov.uk app.
Now, I don't know how and maybe you guys can answer the same question as me. I didn't hear anything about this. I'm not sure if I entirely missed something big or or if I'm going crazy, but I didn't hear anything about this. It originally stated that an early version of a digital driving license would be available later this year, although testing is ongoing. And I love this bit.
You guys are really going to enjoy this bit. The government digital service confirmed that it had built a gov.uk one login app to store credentials and deliver the digital veteran card. And that went really well, didn't it? We covered that heavily on the channel and yet no it didn't go well at all. The organization has also worked closely with the digital verification service industry to enable suitable checks for measures included in the gov.uk one login app. It added that in 2026 the dvs sector would be allowed to test how to share data from the digital driving license with third parties. Oh, that sounds fun, doesn't it? Yeah, sharing your data with third parties. Love that.
It confirmed that there would be a full roll out later in the year with millions of drivers set to have their license details on their phones. Now, this is the important bit. While the digital driving license will not replace the standard photo card license, motorists will have the option to use the gov.uk one login app to prove their age. So, let's just get this clear. It can't replace your driving license, but it can verify your age. What did the EU just do? They launched an app that was fundamentally used just to verify people's ages, but was not there to replace standardized identification documents. And that got breached within 2 minutes. And by the way, there is another video coming on that cuz I found some more quite interesting information on it. And this is the bit that is by far the most alarming thing out of all of this. All other services are expected to be offered as a digital alternative alongside paper or card credentials by the end of next year. Now what they're doing is very simple. They're not going to make it a legal requirement on paper that you have to have digital identification. They're not going to put that in writing as a written law that you have to obey and abide by because they have already promised as a government in legislation in writing in speeches that they will not do that. So what they're going to do instead, and this is something that we all spoke about when they announced that they were removing the mandatory element, is they'd go the backdoor route with it.
They would basically say that, "Hey, look, here's a digital alternative to all of these things that you use in a day-to-day life, things like proof of addresses and stuff like that, and they will slowly put pressure on companies to not accept them as forms of identification. A good example, if you're going to like rent a house or maybe finance a car, at the moment, your proof of address can be something like your driving license and a utility bill, like a phone bill, internet bill, or, you know, water bill, gas bill. What the British government will do, and I want all of you right now to maybe even screen record this or clip this or save it for the future, the British government will put pressure on all of these UK organizations that require proof of address or proof of information to not accept things like bank statements, utility bills, and they will only start accepting things like digital identification. and all of these companies that need proof of addresses will not put up any resistance to this stuff because for them doing like an online digital ID check will be way quicker. But this being introduced now for driving licenses is the first step to the backdoor approach. And to be honest, and I I'll say this with, you know, full confidence, this did happen quicker than I thought it would. Um, the fact that they've been testing this for almost 2 years. I wasn't aware of any of this, and I'm sure many of you guys probably aren't either, and I think that's probably by design. So, this is basically the backdoor approach to getting a mandatory digital ID where it's not mandatory by law or legislation, but by convenience or by removing the other options such as the requirement for physical ID. It's very tactful and it's very intentional. Make sure to check out Private Internet Access at the link down below. And if you did enjoy today's video, please make sure to like and subscribe. I'm trying to get to 100K subs by the end of the year, so hopefully you guys can help me get there. Thank you for watching and I'll see you all in the next
