[00:01:36]>> Um so I just and my house was it was a midden so we just spent the whole weekend doing stuff in the house getting stuff finished. Um seen you >> seen ne. My flat is unfortunately still a midden and I'm not sure when it will be unmidden.

[00:02:01]>> Also, I like had like nine days off the gym because I was away like I went on the then I went to London and I went back to the gym yesterday and I'm that way. You know when you go to the gym for the first time?

[00:04:49]>> 24. Um, and I feel like we just done it really wrong. We went out to a super club every single night. We didn't do any nice dinners. No, >> we didn't do anything nice during the day.

[00:05:09]>> It was just stupid. Whereas now we're like old enough and we're wise enough and we've got a really nice itinerary >> courtesy of my only time I'm ever making I won't be doing it again in a rush.

[00:05:22]>> Yeah. I feel like it'd be no point in me doing it because >> but I did book the holiday.

[00:07:39]But I don't care about being pale. And obviously, everyone knows how annoying it is to put on tan, scrub it off. D. So [music] dayto-day don't actually care, but I love when I feel tanned and I feel it gives you a confidence. It gives you like a healthy glow, right?

[00:07:56]>> And I just I usually do put on some tan for holidays, but my friend was going to get a spray tan and the only time that I've ever got a spray tan was when I went to hot in those boots. [laughter] >> I remember that. Now, I think once I got it and it was fine, I went back and for whatever reason, [sighs] obviously this happened to me.

[00:08:20][snorts] It was like spurting out but like really like not I was it's meant to spray like a mess >> spritz. It was like and I was like, "Excuse me, excuse me." And like literally I'm naked. [laughter] >> And the girl was like, "Oh, I don't really know how to like fix this." And I was like, "Okay, sure. Um, I'm probably just going to leave it then.

[00:08:41]She's like, "Yeah, sorry. I really don't know what I'm doing." I was like, "That that's [laughter] >> I love the transparency.

[00:08:47]>> That's unreal." I said, "Can I get a refund?" Like, honestly. Anyway, [snorts] um, so since then, I've just never went back. Fair enough. So, anyway, my friend was getting a spray tan and she was getting it by obviously loads of people now do like Well, I'm sure it's always been the same. It's been like, >> that's not new. [laughter] There's this new thing where people are actually doing spray dance. So my friend was like, "Oh, I go to this person." And I was like, "I know them."

[00:09:15]>> Yeah, cuz it's um I'll actually put up her we um it's Cheryl. She works in Callum's uncle's florest and she does spray tans and let me tell you, >> Cheryl, she won't be listening to this, but >> she's amazing. It's in a house. like she's got a we out house attached to her house.

[00:09:36]>> Um and you go in and she's do you know I didn't know there's a science behind spray tans but she was telling me about like my skin like we would do different tan not like I know like levels of tans dark not darkness but there's two types because you're olive skin and I'm >> the opposite of olive like she was telling me what would match my skin so I need to go for like rey undertones and you would go for green. Um, >> sorry. No, that makes sense.

[00:10:04]>> Um, and then so anyway, I went in, got it all done. Great experience. She's she's a hoot and then went home and she tells you like when to wash and all that. It was just like a really like easy transition. Well, I loved it.

[00:10:19]>> Yeah, you look great.

[00:10:20]>> Uh, honestly, I'm going to say I've never had this many compliments on like my tan ever. Obviously, when I did myself, it [laughter] must be shiny, but it just it didn't make me look too different. It just made me look, I think, like it was really natural. Do you know what I mean?

[00:10:37]>> Yeah, it was.

[00:10:37]>> And I just felt amazing. And even it coming off and stuff, it was absolutely fine. I just topped up with some gradual moisturizer. So, >> brilliant. That's your new holiday regime.

[00:10:47]>> Yeah. And I might go as far to say like I might get it randomly sometimes.

[00:10:52]>> Yeah. It could be like a we treat every so often. No, just like someone she knows goes every week. I'm not going to start doing that.

[00:11:02]>> I don't know.

[00:11:02]>> Well, when whatever the fun's allowed.

[00:11:05]>> Yeah, maybe during summer. I'm So, if you see me tan, guys, you know, shadow.

[00:11:15]>> Friday. Sorry. And that's going to be my next that's going to be my glow up. I got my micro needling done yesterday.

[00:11:24]Oh, I need to get my nails done. That's >> Yeah, I need to do nails. I think I'm hopefully going to try squeeze in the hair. Um, I need eyebrows.

[00:12:52]>> We like made up like our own dance routines and all this. It was just like total like I felt like a child.

[00:12:58]>> Yeah, it was silly. It was fun. And the sister-in-law um she like did all these fun games and we were doing like racing, diving. It was really fun.

[00:13:09]>> It was team building. Um and it was such a fun day out. And then we all got ready and we went for like a really nice dinner.

[00:13:15]>> Yeah.

[00:13:16]>> Yeah. It was >> What was your favorite bit? That was my favorite bit.

[00:13:19]>> All right. Okay. So, that was the peak of the week.

[00:13:22]>> I would say the the holiday as a whole was spectacular. Even the first night, like we didn't leave the villa, but >> we had like the chef and he made his pella and then we played like um Mr. and Mrs. >> and it was just like it was just such fun vibes.

[00:13:38]>> It was just wholesome girly vibes. It was so nice.

[00:13:43]>> Take me back. Um, pet of the week was [music] >> I've just been chasing my tail the whole week. We actually >> You've said this three weeks in a [laughter] row.

[00:13:58]>> No, but I mean hangover wise.

[00:14:00]>> We went out on the last night which was a Sunday which was also my birthday. So we went out and we went to Pasha which isn't anything like the pasture. Pasha from team you and she >> it was um and however it couldn't have been that bad cuz we did stay till probably it shot >> No it wasn't bad it just >> wasn't like passion >> no it was misleading >> yes so we were there and then basically by the time we had to get home and get ready to go out to the airport we did we missed out on a sleep and that unfortunately just really set me back >> and as soon as we got home the next day I was going to London and I just shouldn't have done it. Like I got up at 3:00 a.m. to go to London and it just totally messed me up.

[00:14:44]>> And I'm still tired now.

[00:14:46]>> Yeah.

[00:14:47]>> So that that's been the part of my week.

[00:14:49]I've just felt very flat.

[00:14:51]>> Yeah.

[00:14:52]>> Flat is a flat tire.

[00:14:54]>> Yeah. I would say um actually very similar and I really hurt like pulled a muscle in my back and I basically >> went for a massage to like it's like a physio massage. Um so that was great >> massage.

[00:15:09]>> Um >> I also have had these pains in my arms from my rotator cuffs for like a year and I just didn't do anything about them and he like went in on them and he was like they're quite bad. Um, so anyway, that was fine. Came home. I was really, really sick that night. Like really nauseous. Was up all night being sick.

[00:15:31]>> And I couldn't figure out why it was, but I looked it up and there's a thing called massage flu. And it's basically like, now, correct me if I'm wrong cuz I'm going to get the wording wrong, but it's like they massage when they massage, it's like releasing like toxins. It's like, >> so it's like if you're dehydrated, >> Yeah. Yeah, >> you can be really sick and like obviously from the hen and then all that week I was like really tired and not myself and I think I've just >> been really >> That's awful.

[00:16:00]>> Mhm. Well, >> I woke up on Friday and I was like, "Oh, feel back to normal."

[00:16:06]>> I also feel like obviously when you come back from I hung over, but I feel like me and you and like me would never not sleep.

[00:16:15]>> Yeah. No, we'll always >> That was really really unlikely. I was and I won't be doing it again in a hurry.

Anyways, I order him an espresso martini. We do a couple of cheeky sambukas and he says he needs to go to the toilet. I'm like, "Go piss, girlfriend." [laughter] 20 minutes go by and I'm like, "Where is he?" Then he comes back out the toilet and immediately says, "We need to leave."

[00:17:03]So, I'm thinking, "What's happened in there?" But we need to leave and we head to the Seavoi. Suave Sav on your 18th is truly a rock bottom moment. But what can you do when this man had [ __ ] himself and been to his boxers in the toilet in the social? [laughter] The espresso martini gave him the shits and he quite literally pooped on my party. [laughter] I was absolutely mortified. But to be honest, out of all of this, I feel really shitty for whoever had to go in after him and see his skitty boxers in the >> So, did they go to the Seavoy box >> boxer list? I think he's went just >> like just >> what's that called? Commando. Yeah, cool.

[00:17:42]>> No pants on. [gasps] >> Unfortunately, I have shot myself as an adult when I had Salmonella. We were actually saying bye to Star. So, when we were in Thailand in 2024, >> God, >> I know time really flies 2 years ago.

[00:18:00]>> What the hell?

[00:18:01]>> So, we were in Thailand, right? And we hadn't seen Star in like 2 years cuz she moved to Australia. So, Nadine Ay and I go to Thailand. Star comes to Thailand.

[00:18:10]We meet up. Hurry. Um, we spend 16 days together and on day 16 I catch Salmonella and we had we had a really long travel day ahead and we were saying bye to Star. Did we all split in Bangkok or Kos?

[00:18:26]>> Bangkok.

[00:18:26]>> Bangkok. That's where we had to say our goodbyes which was obviously emotional cuz we're like we don't know when we'll see Star again. Like we've been spoiled of these two weeks wherever. But we're all like hugging and like people were crying and then I was like [snorts] I just like felt something. And I was like [laughter] I was like like I've just shut myself.

[00:18:45][gasps] >> It really did like lighten >> it lightened moods. Now for me not so much cuz you know there's nothing more humbling than feeling that you're [ __ ] in your pants and like down your legs and [ __ ] like it's [clears throat] mine humbling. But now I can look back one of those stories you can look back and laugh. Do you know if you think about it right how lucky you're unlucky but how lucky were you that was on the last day.

[00:20:37]>> Um, anyways, back then we were on and off for so long and I was abroad saying bye to a family member due to them passing away. And at home, I didn't know that the boyfriend I had was actually up to no good with a 17year-old when he was 14.

[00:20:55]It's quite illegal. Um, and I found and I found out through a be real. I remember be real. You were good at that.

[00:21:04]>> Yeah, I'd love Bere.

[00:21:06]>> I seen the skirt next to him and went on her Insta that night to see that's what she was wearing. stopped speaking to him for years, but we're back and better than ever. Scared someone finds out this story is me writing it.

[00:23:07][clears throat] He We even went on a double date with her and her fella and I dropped her home one night after her and him went for drinks. Basically a date. Brought him to Barcelona for his birthday. He was texting her the entire time.

[00:23:27]>> Mhm. Then we went to a concert after in our hometown and he wouldn't come out with me and my friends with their boyfriends afterwards as he was rushing back to the city we lived in where she was conveniently.

[00:23:39]>> I was staying at home for a week to look after my dad who had just had a heart attack.

[00:23:44]>> So he had so he used this as a great excuse to go on dates with her all week.

[00:23:49]My spidey senses were tingling. So I came back to her flat for a few days a few days earlier than I planned so we could talk. To which he replied, "Maybe don't come up today. Me and Sarah are going for a walk and get food."

[00:24:02][laughter] That cat, what the hell that is? Bear in mind this whole time he's saying they're just friends and I'm a psycho for thinking anything else. M >> imagine I went away and I came home and I was saying I'm coming home early and Cal was like that sorry I'm going out with Deborah [laughter] Deb.

[00:24:27]>> Long story cut short after a lot of fighting. We've broken up. We're not broken up yet and he's sleeping in the spare room and we're on thin ice.

[00:24:36]>> Anyways, that weekend he went to a work event where he posted Instagram stories of selfies of the two of them. I'd already told him that's a boundary he was crossing and not to do it again. So the next morning I woke up and broke up with him to which he tried to stay together. Next day he goes to work and I'm working from home in the spare room where he'd been sleeping. I see the suit he wore to the work night out and her red lipstick from Selfie is all over his shirt.

[00:25:03]>> Like by the buttons on the collar and everything >> by the buttons. Oh, she's been chomping off [laughter] the >> she's been opening that shirt mouth.

[00:25:13]>> Who needs fingers?

[00:25:16]>> I confronted him about it and he says they were sitting next to each other all night.

[00:25:21]>> Oh, >> as if the lipstick floated off her mouth onto his shirt. It honestly is laughable the logic these cheating boys try to use. It really is.

[00:25:31]>> It is. had to live with him for another two weeks till I moved out of the flat that I did all the work to get us. By the way, to add fuel to the fire, I was moving jobs to a new city away from all my friends because he didn't like the city we lived in anymore and he was meant to be following me. Obviously, he didn't and stayed with the girl instead.

Well, you shouldn't be getting it then. And so he needed me to pay it in installments and he'd repay me monthly. Heard that one before. Um I immediately said no to that though he insisted. [00:40:22]>> I know. So now I'm like, "Okay, let's connect the dots. One, random dodgy house. Two, ignoring me. Three, asking his wee brother for money.

[00:40:37]Anyway, fast forward. He finally turns his phone back on at like 300 p.m. the next day. Location now magically back at his lovely family home. And I get a text. Hey babe, I'm so rough. [snorts] Sir, you have 50 missed calls. And he's acting like everything is normal. He hits you with I got home at midnight.

[00:41:07]>> Oh, really? So I question, oh, is that why your phone was at a random location at 7:00 a.m.? I'm withholding the information. I knew that he was on his phone because he text his little brother. I just wanted to see him lie and fall into my trap.

[00:41:22]>> And he goes, "Yeah, yeah, one of the boys must have had it." Right. So, your friend knows the password, takes the phone to a mystery location, and texts your little brother asking for £250.

[00:41:36]I then dropped the bomb that I knew he was on his phone and must have been at that location. Cue the gaslighting and manipulation. I swear this man has a master's degree in it. He starts telling me the GPS is wrong, Apple Maps is broken, and basically inventing conspiracy theories on the [laughter] [gasps] >> He flips on it. He flips it on me, telling me I'm a crazy psycho that can't let him have a good time.

[00:42:02]>> He's trying to enjoy a holiday with his mom. [laughter] >> He ignores me for two days and come back saying I'm ruining his holiday. His mom thinks I'm crazy and his friends thinks I'm crazy and if I don't drop it, he's ending it.

[00:42:15]>> So I think fine, I can't prove it right now. I'll let it go.

[00:42:19]>> He then spends the next two weeks telling me he loves me, facetiming me, begging me to come to Spain, acting like boyfriends of the year. Fast forward to him coming home. I pick him up from the airport and we go back to mine.

[00:42:31]Everything seems normal. What he didn't know that was before he left, I watched him type his passcode and saved it into my notes as you do.

[00:42:40]>> So that night, he falls asleep peacefully in my bed and I go straight on his phone, open his messages with his best friends because I know that's where the juice will be and he can't fart without telling his bestie.

[00:42:54]>> And there it is. Texas friends along the lines of, "Can't believe I've been here for two weeks and only shagged a brass and two birds."

[00:47:08]>> I wake up around 1:00 a.m. to a flood of mis calls. Messages that don't even make sense. His phone dead. Location last seen an hour ago. But he'd mentioned being with a guy from his work, John, who lives near me. So, I tell myself, "Okay, not ideal, but he's probably safe."

[00:47:25]>> Yeah. Morning comes. No sign of him. And now something doesn't feel right. I message his mom. He's not there. She doesn't know if she doesn't know where he is either. And suddenly we're both spiraling. Calling people from the night out, messaging anyone who might have seen him. Even checking hospitals because at this point, we genuinely think something terrible has happened.

[00:47:46]Hours go by and then midafter afternoon he just appears. Walks into the house like nothing's happened. straight past us. No eye contact, no explanation.

[00:48:03]>> I know. Like, are you okay? When he finally speaks, the story keeps changing. A colleagueu's flat. No, actually, a random group of guys. And somehow it becomes my fault. I'm insecure. I'm dramatic. The next day, he sits me down and says completely flat, "My feelings have changed. I don't love you anymore."

[00:49:08]George Street, Blank Street Coffee, Princess Street Gardens, the Christmas lights, and it clicks instantly. Oh, you're not shopping. You're on a date. I call him, declined. I call again, declined. That night, we meet. He's crying, saying he loves me, but doesn't want to be with me. Still denying everything. [clears throat] But at this point, I don't want him to admit it. I already know. So, I stay quiet and I start digging. I notice he's followed a girl from Edinburgh. She's posted a Tik Tok of her flat.

[00:49:41]>> I go back to his location, compare the building. It's almost identical. So, I take it further, cross check properties in that exact area, and just like that, everything clicks. A few a few days later, his Snapchat location places him at a bar. Not just any bar, the same one he took me on our first date. So me and my best friend, we get in the car, drive straight to that flat, and there it is, his car parked right outside. Proof, clear as day. I film it, say nothing, and then I make my move. A few days later, I pack up everything he owns, clothes, gifts, sentimental sentimental pieces into the suitcase I bought for Australia move, and I drop it at his mom's house while telling her everything with him upstairs. And here's the part that really says it all. Everyone in his life already knows what he's like. His friends, his family, they've all said the same thing. I've had a lucky escape.

[00:54:19]>> I wrote in a dilemma recently and this is a bit of an extension on it. So I'm from Scotland, live in a different city in England. A I work here and I got with my now ex-boyfriend who I work with and live with and was with him for just over a year. I dumped his ass. After listening to the boundaries app, I literally couldn't see myself staying with him because it summed him up to a tea.

[00:54:46]>> We when we first started shagging, he was also shagging a girl in our work. I know, red flags, lessons [ __ ] learned. And during relationship, she would text some weird things about meeting up, just them two, and like ignoring my existence when we work together and would go out together as a group. Fast forward, I dumped him for so many [ __ ] reasons, but he never ever gave me the reassurance or comfort about that situation and called me insane for asking him to tell me when she texted him to keep me in the loop. How unreasonable of me, lol. I dumped him.

[00:55:25]We live together. We work together. I have a 10e notice to work. We have one bed.

[00:55:33]It's been a hard eight weeks, but I've been trying to be civil, giving him space, do yoga, took up running, eating good. Like, I've really turned a corner.

[00:55:43]He has started taking lots of treat just in case it gets >> broas, [laughter] smoking, getting in at 6:00 a.m. E. And then on a Friday night, he went out like the usual. Not my business. I had a great night. Everything shower, face mask, listens to your pod. Oh, >> when we were together, we shared our locations. Nothing toxic, surprisingly.

[00:56:09]But when we swiftly turned that off after breaking up, which is fine, as I said, not my business. Jokes on him. I still had his wallet Air Tag on my phone when he lost it on a night out and his phone was dead. Wasn't really checking it to be fair, but I knew I had it up my sleeve. But I wake up at 2:00 a.m. with like the worst gut feeling ever. I just knew to check his wallet location. Where was it? Obviously that [ __ ] girl's house, who, by the way, I was meant to be friends with and due to go out for drinks with her and another girl on Weddednesday.

[00:56:46]>> Oh my god. [snorts] >> So that's me up. Heart rate at heart rate from 45 to 178 in a split second.

[00:56:53]>> Oh no. like it was always going to happen, but like when I was still living there and sharing a bed with him, [ __ ] off, mate. I compile and compiled a nice stern list of things I was going to say to him, saw he was moving on Find My iPhone. And she dropped him off a street away, so he just walked in. He came in and said, "Oh, nice. You up for a run?"

[00:57:15]And I said, "Yep. So, how was your sleepover?" He said, "Fine. I just crashed at the boys." And I said, "Oh, funny how he's next door." No. Oh, I said, "Oh, how funny is he?"

[00:57:32]>> Blank >> blank next door neighbor then. Like a deer in the headlights. Lol. He was like, "I wasn't there. I stayed at the boys. I have never felt so [ __ ] powerful knowing I was right."

[00:57:45]>> Good for you. He gaslight me and lied for a solid 5 minutes until I said, "Well, you're a [ __ ] idiot because I still have your Air Tag."

[00:57:54]>> Silence. A good 40second silence. And the only thing he came up with was, "Why are you tracking my location?" So, I told him, "Don't dare sleep in that bed.

[00:58:05]Don't come to my leaving do and literally just disappear cuz you're dead to me." He was shook.

[00:58:11]>> Yeah. Literally, he was shook and saying, "Well, where am I going to sleep for the next 2 weeks? That's not fair.

[00:58:18]We've broken up. We can both do what we want." I said, "Well, you figured out last night, so I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out."

[00:58:25]>> Also, yes, we've broken up, but you could have at least waited until I left to do that. You have two weeks of my presence, and you have no respect for me. His response, I do respect you. Oh.

[00:58:37]>> So I said, "Well, were you respecting me last night when you were [ __ ] bossed deep in her?" "No." "So [ __ ] off and never speak to me again." [laughter] And he told me to stop speaking like that. God forbid a girl was realistic and continued to say he had respect for me. So basically, trust your [ __ ] gut, ghettos. Mine is like yours, Megan.

[00:59:00]And she can't physically be trusted, but mentally is always right. I'm good. I'm such a sound sleeper and always sleep through the night, but God bless I woke up. Anyways, can't fault my girlies and family for being around me during this and love them all so much.

[00:59:18]>> They deserve the world for putting up for pulling me through this and I will be starting therapy.

[00:59:23]>> I can't wait to move home and be a single free spirit and just fall in love with myself again. Oh, your friends and family will always be there to have your back even if you get an absolute [ __ ] And this podcast has truly opened my eyes and made me feel so validated. Please never stop yapping.

[01:00:17]>> And I just feel like for you to go through 10 weeks of hell and be able to hold your own and not fall back into the trap and you know, like start running, start yoga, be healthy, and like at the end be like that, no, you've crossed another boundary even though we've broken up. Like that's amazing and you should be so proud of yourself for that.

[01:00:37]>> Honestly, well done. And you have now set the foundation to being independent.

[01:00:44]Yeah. You've got your freedom now. Like how amazing. You can look back and be like, I can do anything.

[01:00:49]>> And the fact your mindset is like already is like I can't wait to get home, fall in love with myself, be single.

[01:00:57]>> I'm going to start therapy. Like wow.

[01:00:59]Like the fact you can like see all those things this soon on is very very powerful. Absolutely. And I honestly like I can feel in my chest that like I know I'll never be in a situation like I was in ever again. And it's not because I've had truth of that. It's not because someone's came along and started cheating me right. It's because I trust myself so much now where I'm like just kill >> where I'm like that will never happen again.
