Remembering Those who Died For American Principles

[00:00:00]Thomas Jefferson and the second Continental Congress defined on July 4th, 1776, what it means to be an American. What it means to be an American is to be able to hold a set of beliefs, be able to agree on a set of rules, be able to get together and decide this is this is how we're going to conduct our lives. You know, being a member of a variety societies, for those of you that are that are Catholic, I'm sure you're familiar with the Nicene Creed. If you're Episcopalian, you're familiar with the Apostles' Creed. The other thing is the Apostles' Creed. All kinds of groups have things that if you want to be part of the group, if you want to be a member, you subscribe to certain certain things, certain beliefs. This happened on July 17, 1776. As we remember those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom, it would honor them to learn more about American first principles and shared beliefs.
