High-torque vehicles like Honda Integras can develop hairline cracks in welded chassis areas due to structural stress, and proper welding technique with adequate penetration is essential for maintaining structural integrity; incomplete glass adhesive can also cause additional strain on the chassis by compromising its structural function.

Weirdest damage found...追加:
We're back with another Integra painting video. Right now, we're taping off the car, getting it ready to spray. We left off of painting all the plastics. So, well, I guess this isn't plastic, but all the little pieces. So, all that we have left is the chassis, fenders, doors, trunk, hood, but there's so much torque from this car that the chassis twisted and Peyton found this crack here.
So, we're going to just stop the whole project and just probably part it out like we almost did before, but now we're actually going to part it out. Just kidding. But check this out. Look at the welds they put on the A-pillar down to this apron here. There's only two tags.
These are not mine, by the way. These are factory. It looks like it's cracked here. Looks like there's a hairline crack from here to here, which is strange that it doesn't hit either end, but probably a good thing, right? Cuz that it would separate. I'm not too sure what would cause that because there was a hairline crack on the other side as well that we patched up. But a glass guy told me before that if the glass adhesive isn't on all the way, that could cause extra strain on the chassis because I guess the glass acts as a structural component. Ask a glass guy.
Fact check that for me. The glass that came off of this car, you could like push up on it and it would like come out. It was so sketchy. It was only really attached down here but barely. So I think that is the cause of this.
But check your Integress, check your Hondas. They do have a lot of torque.
You know, they are drag racing machines after all.
>> After three business days, you will be at slow p traffic pace.
>> Yeah. Not passing pace.
>> No, >> traffic pace.
I start with the heat2 range cuz I don't want to burn through. This doesn't look too terribly thick. You know, it's a Honda after all. Paper paper car.
Don't forget to turn the gas.
There you go.
All right, it's looking way better. I added an extra tack in this corner here.
I'm probably not going to grind this off just so we can keep that structural rigidity. And I beefed up these other two spot welds that were already there.
Well, actually, I added this one that wasn't even there either. Added two, patched the other two.
Should be good. Should be good.
Let's goop.
Going to start here and work our way around. Now, this is bare metal seam sealer. So, this is rated for the job.
Sometimes you have to put a hot seat on first to primer, but we can put this right to the bayer.
We got to fill this hole. I dug this entire hole out just to get a good clean surface to put new sealer in.
>> Shout out to CJ Media behind the line.
>> Shout out CJ Media holding the camera.
This will all clean up later with our fingers.
>> Oh, you don't have like an acid brush or something?
>> I do, but I like to finger it. Oh, even goes into the cabin a little bit.
Seal all seal. Oh, the only proper way to put on a glove. Must be really to make a mess. Get a little smearage.
You know what I'm saying?
Just go the whole thing.
I don't know why we didn't check this side. I thought we had already finished everything because there was a crack over here that we welded, but I didn't look over here. I'm just going to uncover it just to look at it.
Oh boy.
See the crack right along the weld line.
And look at this weld right here. It doesn't look like it has any penetration to this panel.
starts welding.
>> It's going to say no. Oh Approval of this. Let's weld again. It only has three welds to start. This one is not good. And these two are cracked.
An added weld here. Reinforced weld here. We got some boogerage here. But you know what? That's definitely going to hold. More boogers over here. All fixed. And a new one up top.
I think that should hopefully do better.
I can't believe there's only two here from factory.
Oh yeah.
It's crazy how warm this stuff gets. As it hardens, it warms up.
The joys of home ownership strike again.
We just left off with doing a whole bunch of new pipe work at the prison palace. Left this place a mess.
Thankfully so, because we have another issue. We have like no water pressure and it looks like after some diagnosis.
This little guy has a short in it. I noticed it smelled like, you know, the electrical smell when something's burning but not on fire. I'm no expert and no plumber, but I'm pretty sure that's a burnt contact. It's pretty black. This relay kicks on to pressurize this tube. I think to pressurize the whole house. Right now it's holding pressure fine, but yesterday it was at like 20. Oh, it's working good now.
Of course, when the camera's out watching the pressure drop, relay clicked on. It's actually working, I guess. Oh, see now, now it's dropped into like 30. Is it that? I don't know.
I'm going to start with the cheapest thing, though. The relay here is the cheapest piece of the system, so that's what's going to go first.
Ah, it's nice I had to jump start the car.
Okay, time to see if I know what I'm doing. I think this is the main water.
I think this is how we turn off the power to it.
Okay. Okay. Let's relieve the water pressure. And just so I'm clear, I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm just I'm just hoping I'm knowing what I'm doing.
This could be a mess. This could be a fire.
Take a couple pictures. Make sure these are in the same layout. We got the viron off. Now I'm just spinning this doohickey around.
Looks like something out of Star Wars to fix the Millennium Falcon. Here's a closer look at the contacts.
They don't look horrible. Here's a look at brand new contacts.
Drew told me to use this stuff for pipe sealant.
All right. Peep the wiring. Same. Same.
Peep the routing. You know, little clean tuck action. Flip on the power.
Nice. That shot up quick.
Turn this guy on. Main power. Not main power, main water.
stove drops.
It wasn't the problem.
Good choice. It's almost like it's not holding pressure. I turned all the faucets off.
Any ideas?
Back to Google, I guess. After consulting with my plumber friend, Mr. Drew, he has informed me to check the bladder tank, which is this. He said if it's heavy, it's probably full of water, which means internally the bladder has leaked. This is supposed to be just air.
This pressurizes the water system in the house. Now, this is a wellwater system, so it's a lot different from city water.
So, I think this is bad, which means we're going to be Mr. Plumber today.
The goal is to paint the Integra today.
But, you know, the house has to be a priority, especially when you can't shower. She's taped and ready to rock.
So, hopefully when we get back, sending out some orders. Thank you guys.
Is this thing with size pipes? I have no idea what I'm doing.
>> Four to four gallons.
>> Four to four. I know this is what we need, but Piaza's addiction necessitas >> not included.
Pressure switch, which is what you got earlier, right?
>> Mhm.
All right. We had to lay out the puzzle pieces cuz I have no idea what I'm doing. We got access to the little butt plug here. And then we found this little guy threads into it. Got a twoft long piece of this. And then a little union, some cutters and some glue.
>> Got a nickel and two gift cards. You think that'll cover everything?
>> I freaking hope so.
>> I got to scratch off the pin.
>> Damn. 250 bucks on that one.
That's so random. I thought there'd be like $3.
>> Choose your payment type.
>> Damn. Another hundo on that one. Or 50.
I'll take it. Look at that.
What is that thing? It's like a van wagon.
Taurus wagon. Shout out.
Some old rig. There's always some random cool cars in this parking lot.
I smell paint. Someone's painting a car.
The seeds have grown on me. Kind of want to build one.
Just garbage in the air.
Honda Civic.
All right, enough creeping. Hello, old friend.
59 in North A. This is where I got t-boned. Right here, car ended up over there.
Spent all day driving. Picked up some plants for the the lady. She has her marketplace finds, you know. We're off to a great start. I've already dropped the new tank downstairs.
>> As as I said, hey, should I go on the bottom?
>> Yeah, it slipped out of my hand. I was trying to like maneuver it.
>> Oh my gosh. I can't have anything nice.
Got to buff up. Let's try this again.
Water off. Two. Power off. There's like no way to get in here, so I'm probably going to have to chop this back a little bit. Time to make a mess. We got zero PSI, so hopefully it's not too bad.
Disconnected.
Hey, at least it's draining right into the sump pump. You can hear this thing draining out.
I don't know how much water is supposed to be in there.
This thing's been gugging water for the past 10 minutes. We're going to take out the shraider valve on top. Hopefully, it'll drain a little faster.
>> Oh my god.
>> Oh yeah.
>> Oh my god.
>> Almost too much.
So, we've been watching this water drain into the the pit of doom here, and I noticed that when it turns on, it kind of drains out a little bit, which means uh we're going to need to service this line as well. That might be a problem for another day. Luckily, it's still working.
See, it's squirting out.
Oh my god.
>> I think we're done. We're done. We're light as hell.
>> All right, we got the thing out. It was really hard. We uh lifted it all the way up here because it didn't clear. You had you had to be there to see it. So, instead of instead of putting this back where it was and just completely making this spot useless, I think we're going to go to the store and get another 45.
Pitch it this way. And then maybe have it over there so I can have a shelf or something right here. Dude loves huffing. So, I have no idea what I'm doing, right?
This is primer. I guess you put this on first. Damn. Where did I put the >> Maybe we should pull the YouTube video back up.
>> No, no, no. We know what we're doing.
Is that too much? Is that too little?
Can you put too much?
>> Huh?
>> Do you have to do it quickly? So, we got the primer and we got the cement.
Is that bad? Is that contaminated? I have no idea.
Okay, now let's read the directions after we use it.
>> All right, >> let's thread this puppy in.
>> Is that it?
>> I think that's it.
>> I think that's it. Brother, you need your old pop wrench, >> dude. We got to get ass crack shot.
>> We're plumbing today, guys.
Oh yeah, plumbers's at work. Peep the install.
Got a little 45 on there. A little walk space. You think it's been 15 minutes?
>> Well, according to my calculations, that said 9 when we installed it.
>> Close enough.
Yeah, pressure is up. I think we're same problem. Question mark.
Yeah. So, seems like it.
Huh.
Well, this has been a quite expensive video.
The joys as we were sitting here. Yeah, we've got pressure now.
This thing's making noise. I wonder if it's expanding in there.
I have no idea. Do you have to bleed the system? No. Right. No way.
Cuz you want air in there, right?
I have no idea.
Faucet on. I think we're good. It's holding it steady. Before it would drop super fast. It's working now. So, you know what? We're going to call this project done and go about our day now that we spent an entire day.
>> All right, shower time.
>> Yeah, right. It's already 10:00. Wasted a whole day. Well, the water pressure works great. However, we are seeping quite a bit. So, uh, job well done. No.
Job done? No. Job reduced? Yes.
Why are you so scared?
Huh? Why are you so scared?
Give it a sniff.
Oh, the joys of home ownership. Yeah, we got quite a bit of a puddle going.
Dude, this is on there.
Oh my gosh. This is my biggest wrench.
>> Holy cow, brother.
>> Oh, is my crack out enough?
>> I need the plumber strength.
>> Come on, boys.
>> I feel a little bit. I feel a little bit. We're good now.
>> Do you feel some breeze? It gives me power. It gives me the power.
>> Dig deep, brother.
>> In the name of the plumber, the water, and the Holy Spirit.
>> Amen.
>> Amen, brother.
God bless a union worker.
>> God bless America.
A >> little bit of primer.
Who's this one?
But since we had a leak, we're going generous now.
I want these to be slightly bumped up in case water comes out of them.
Dude, these smell so strong.
Okay, this one's going to be tricky cuz we can't let this fall so that water doesn't get in it.
Nice placement.
So, at 11:20, we'll turn the water on.
All right, it's time to test.
Pressure is building.
So far, no leaks.
Okay, hopefully we are done with this job. Finally.
Note to self, follow the directions.
I'm so sorry we didn't get a chance to paint the Integra today. It's coming soon, I promise. My house just got a flat tire. Had to get it back on the road. I will be in Colorado from June 5 to the 7th at Pikes Peak. If you guys are out that way, come say hi. I'll see you guys in the next one. Peace.
I don't know. Does he approve this? I don't know. I don't know. We'll have to see. Find out.
>> Got some explaining to do, MISTER.
