Driscoll provides a necessary intellectual anchor by grounding sensationalist political discourse in rigorous scriptural criteria. This analysis serves as a sobering reminder that theological precision must always prevail over speculative populist alarmism.

Tucker Carlson Claims That President Donald Trump Is The Antichrist.. Is He Correct?Ajouté :
So to a lot of Christians or people who know the Bible well and believe in it, these predictions in both the Old and the New Testament and there are others seem to fit where we were watching.
Here's a leader who's mocking the gods of his ancestors, mocking the God of gods and exalting himself above them. Could this be the Antichrist? Well, who knows? At least that's my conclusion. Who knows? We're also told repeatedly in the New Testament that you're not going to know that Jesus will return like a thief in the night and and you better be ready because you can't predict it. But we're also told there are signs. And is this one of them? Well, again, unclear. Well, Pastor Mark, um our favorite uh Middle Eastern payroll uh gentleman, Tucker Carlson, is uh calling Trump the Antichrist. It is wild. He recently apologized for misleading voters on voting for Trump um and called him a slave to neocons. Um he is uh yeah just fullout attack on President Trump and hates him and now is accusing him of being the antichrist. And you actually have the theological backing to give us uh is that true? Is it possible? Is Tucker on to something? Is Tucker crazy?
>> Yeah. So, just for those who don't know me, so I um I got saved reading the Bible as a Christian at the age of 19.
And then I've got a master's degree in Bible. That's and I've preached through or taught through now like 40 of the 66 books of the Bible verse by verse. And so I'm a Bible guy. That's just me. And so I appreciate when somebody's asking a question about the Bible. Gives an opportunity for Bible teachers to weigh in. So that's great. Part of the problem that we're seeing, and then I'll get into exactly what the Bible says about the Antichrist, is we're seeing people that are um pretty well known and have platforms and then they become Christians and they're kind of working out their theology in real time, >> but their followers are following them and then treating them more like a pastor who's kind of discipling them.
>> Y >> which is not the way to do it. you want to I mean even when the Apostle Paul got saved he disappeared for a few years got his head on straight and then he emerged to start preaching and teaching and so it's good to take a little time and it's good to be under godly spiritual authority have a pastor who knows the Bible and before you start sort of speculating make sure you know what you're talking about so what he's talking about is the antichrist and u second Thessalonians 2 speaks of the man of lawlessness is revealed the son of destruction who opposes exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship so that he takes his seat in the temple of God proclaiming himself to be God. I mean I'll get into all the details but he says he's God. Well, President Donald Trump has never said he's God. Uh do you not remember that when I was still with you I told these things and you know that the uh what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time? The mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Um, so here it's talking about the antichrist in 2 Thessalonians 2. And those who want to look it up, it's verses 3 through 12.
And this uh concept of lawlessness, it is two parts. Uh, it is anti or um against and then Namia or law. And so this concept of being uh antirist against God and his laws, I've got it here in my notes from when I preached it. And there's a whole sermon at realfaith.com. I did all of 1 and 2 Thessalonians and there's a whole sermon. I think it's called the man of lawlessness on this.
>> Uh but this concept, this word appears 13 times in the New Testament. Four times it's right here in second Thessalonians. And so here's the marks of the antichrist. Apostate. Uh the the time of rebellion. There'll be people who are denying Christ in large numbers but still professing to be Christians.
Number two, there'll be many counterfeit Christ. Jesus talks about this in Matthew 24. He says, "False Christ." So, they're saying, "I'm Jesus. I'm Jesus.
I'm Jesus." They're not. Number three, the Antichrist, also called in the Bible, the man of lawlessness, will arise. Um, 1 John 2:18, um, 2 John 1:7, 1 John 2:22, 1 John 4:3 all talk about, um, this antichrist. And so man of lawlessness and antichrist is most likely referring to the same person. And so, you know, it's a common theme in the New Testament, especially with Paul, especially with John. But based on second Thessalonians 2 3-12, here's the uh here's the marks. Number one, uh he is the man of lawlessness and the son of destruction. So, it's a human being.
>> It's not some AI or extraterrestrial, though they could be involved. Number two, he quote opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship. Was President Trump founding a religion in devotion to himself?
>> No.
>> Answer no. Number three, he quote takes his seat in the temple of God proclaiming himself to be God. Now, there's a big debate about this whether or not this is metaphorical or literal, but has President Trump reconstructed the temple on the Temple Mount in Israel and given him a seat in the middle of it? answer.
>> No.
>> No. Uh, number four, he will no longer be held back by the restrainer, which is probably the person and work of the Holy Spirit. Number five, he quote brings the activity of Satan with all power, false signs and wonders. So, you're looking at counterfeit signs, wonders, and miracles.
>> Well, are we seeing around President Trump, you know, people being healed and the dead being raised and the blind seeing and counterfeit supernatural miraculous activity? Answer, no. We're not seeing that. Um, number six, uh, he brings quote, "Wicked deception for those who are perishing because they refuse to love the truth and be saved.
Is he preaching a false gospel and taking people away from Jesus?" No.
Actually, we know a lot of, you were just in the White House. We know a lot of people in the faith office.
>> And now the faith office is actually part of the White House. It's not like, yeah, >> you know, down the street in the janitor's closet at some secondary government building.
>> And you you can argue and fight. The people on the White House uh faith council, they love Jesus, man. I mean, we know him personally.
>> Well, and most of the people in office in the White House are very devout Christians. Like Bible thumping Christians.
>> Uh well, you've got Speaker Mike Johnson, a very articulate Christian.
You've got Senator Marco Ru Rubio, very articulate Christian. Um you know, Secretary of War, Pete Hgsith, articulate Christian. Um JD Vance, articulate Christian. I mean, >> yeah, it was interesting. So, you know, the very um we were talking about this recently. Claude is incredibly woke.
Woke AI. Like >> Claude is wokeity woke.
>> Yep. Wokey woke. So, I asked Claude uh right before we jumped into this. Uh because I I have this idea and I'm like, "Okay, what what does woke AI think? Has president has there been any president in the last hundred years that's done more for Christianity than President Trump?" And the answer is objectively no by the woke >> Yeah.
>> AI is like no. And here's the list of all the things President Trump has done to hold the door open for Christians.
First president to be at a pro-life rally, first president to put the faith office there, uh get rid of row, like he has done a lot for Christians and objectively more than any president in the last hundred years.
>> Yeah. And and within that, whether or not he's a devout Christian or an articulate Christian, he's not antichrist. Antichrist literally means remove and replace it. It is remove Christ and replace Christ with self.
>> That's now what we're seeing. Just the last few. Number seven, he quote leads the condemned who do not believe. Um you know, is there a is there a large number of people who um you know are are rallying around President Trump to form a cult? Um no. In fact, the true Christians, we we disagree when he's wrong, but we support him because it's better than the option. And you don't need to be the pastorinchief. You just need to be the commander-in-chief and leave freedom for the church to stay in its lane and do its job. And then the last um one as well number eight uh the lawless one will re be revealed whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. How do we know it's truly the antichrist? Jesus returns and smokes him.
>> Yeah. It's like, well, so I mean, this is what happens when you have a a shallow understanding of the Bible, but a large platform.
>> Oh, it's like a kid in kids ministry that just got saved trying to discern the prophecies of the Bible. It's like, well, you you need to go to church for 10 years before you start citing what a prophecy is fulfilled.
>> What I wouldn't and what I would say to everybody is just go to 2 Thessalonians 2 and just read it. I mean, it's all there. And within this, you know, is President Trump the antichrist? No. Now, the antichrist will be a powerful uh world leader and um and President Trump is a powerful world leader. So, but you know, I mean, there are other powerful world world leaders. Doesn't mean that they're the antichrist either. And so, >> yeah, within this, it's um it's a speculation and it's based upon a couple of things that, you know, the president puts on Truth Social. One he says, "Well, I thought I would look like a doctor." And the Christians are like, "No, actually you look like Jesus."
Like, "Sorry, take it off." The other one, you know, Jesus is embracing him.
And then they're speculating like, "Well, I don't know." Is the president saying, you know, "I hope Jesus is with me and for me. I I hope Jesus is with and for our president. I hope he's not, you know, hope Jesus isn't against our president."
But again, this is where um to go from, you know, maybe a questionable post on Truth Social to the Antichrist because what you're doing then, you're putting President Trump in the same category as Satan.
>> Mhm.
>> And you're putting him in the same category as Judas's Scariot.
>> Yeah.
>> So Judas's Scariot was uh an antichrist.
So the Bible says that there are many antichrists and there's a spirit of antichrist and then there's the antichrist. So right now like North Korea is ruled by an antichrist. U you know Iran is ruled by an antichrist.
Um you know the head of planned parenthood is an antichrist.
>> Y >> I mean there are many antichrist and it's all operational by the demonic power and spirit of antichrist. But then there is one who is the antirist. And it's an individual who has a lot of power, but then is filled and possessed not just by demonic power, but Satan himself.
>> Yeah.
>> And that was Judas the Scariot.
>> Yep.
>> So Judas is the son of predition and literally Satan enters his heart to betray Christ. And so Judas is a foreshadowing. He's a he's a little picture of what the Antichrist will be like. And so to go to the president of the United States and say he's like that, you're basically saying he's worse than Judas's Scariot because Judas is a little picture of the Antichrist that is coming. And you're saying, okay, so our president is worse than Judas. And what you're doing then, you're saying that the man is potentially evil, demonic, and then the problem becomes it's morally uh necessary then to to stop him.
>> Mhm.
>> And we keep getting assassination attempts.
>> Crazy.
>> Yep. Because if somebody is possessed by Satan and the Antichrist >> needs to be stopped.
>> Need to be stopped.
>> And and so this is what happens then.
And we even saw with the most recent shooter like he is using Christian language and justification for the attempted murder and assassination of the president.
>> Yep.
>> And so you put these together and it's like be responsible if you have a platform. If you're saying there is potentially the Antichrist possessed by Satan who will bring in the last days and destroy the earth, if some cook believes that, they're like, "Well, then I need to shoot him to save the world."
And that's where we are.
>> Yeah. 100%. And uh yeah, I I feel like as a pastor witnessing Trump, everybody's like, "Is he saved? Is he not saved?" I I I don't think any of us can answer that question.
>> The Lord knows who's or his. That's what the Bible says. but as a he's a very confident and sometimes arrogant man that's very good with his words. Uh and he always fumbles a bit around are you going to heaven? Are you uh do you love Jesus? And he always is like well I've messed up so much in my life I'm I'm not going to heaven like and he kind of makes a joke out of it. Like he's usually very good with his words around Jesus. He he he struggles because I I think he knows there's a power above him and something that he doesn't know if he's good enough to go to heaven or if a relationship with Jesus is good enough for him. Like he seems like a guy in process always with it of like I'm not fully confident that I'm a Christian.
And that's most Christians are uh you say if if you're wondering if you're going to >> you're worried about going to heaven, you're probably a Christian. Yeah. But then we see like um Franklin Graham writes him a nice letter saying it's not by your works. It's by the work of Jesus, the grace of God that you are saved. You know, repent of sin, receive Jesus as savior. Does a great job as Franklin always does.
>> Y >> and what does the president do? He posts it online with no edits or modifications and he basically takes his platform to allow Franklin Graham to proclaim the gospel to the nations. You're like, well, >> that's cool. Man, >> that's cool. And I don't think the Antichrist is trying to promote Franklin Graham's evangelism.
>> 100%. I don't think the Antichrist uh like on Easter, he's reading the Bible in the Oval Office for the whole world to see. Two years before uh it was transvisibility day with Biden.
>> Yeah.
>> Like that things have gotten better. Uh things have gotten better. So, Pastor Mark, uh the antichrist, why are Christians so obsessed with identifying this person? Um >> um you know I mean it's like gambling, it's like sports, it's like we don't know what it's going to be, you know, and so we're trying to speculate and we're trying to anticipate.
Um there's always been Christians that get enamored with the end times. And I think uh particularly in this day with an older generation of boomers that are more dispensational, um it's just like a part-time hobby.
Like if you're a Bible nerd, some people live in different parts of the Bible.
The end times people are this eccentric little tinfoil hat crowd that tend to live there.
>> And um but at the end of the day, when Jesus returns, we don't know. Um there are some events that seem to precede his coming, but when he comes, our goal should be to be busy doing the things that he has assigned and called us to do.
>> And that he comes back when he comes back. And whenever if he comes back soon, I want him to see me doing what he asked me to do. So there's Martin Luther, the great Protestant reformer, they asked him on one occasion, so if he knew Jesus was coming back tomorrow, what would you do today? He said, I'd plant a tree. What he's saying is like I would be living my life and if Jesus wants to come back, he's going to see me busy.
>> Yeah.
>> And and the whole point of first and second Thessalonians, part of it is which Tucker quotes, they thought Jesus would come back in 15 minutes. So, they all quit their jobs.
>> Mhm.
>> And they're all just sitting around and like, you know, cashing out their their retirement funds and racking up their credit cards. And Paul's like, "Uh, it's going to be a while. Um, you guys need to" and and here we are a few thousand years later, >> but everyone's still like, "It's going to happen."
>> There's still a percentage of people that are like, "We cashed out our retirement. We racked up our credit cards because Jesus is coming back. We don't have to pay it off." He's like, "That's not how it works. Stay get busy."
>> Yep. 100%. Um, yeah, it's uh it feels like an end timesobsessed generation.
And as a young guy, I'm looking at it and I'm like, I want I want to have a future. I I want my son to grow up. I want him to have kids. And uh I'm excited for whenever the Lord chooses to return, but I'm not going to obsess over it. Uh it it will come.
>> Well, and like I mean, you've got I mean, you've got a son. I've got grandkids now. If Jesus returns, of course, I'm overjoyed. I want to see those kids grow up. I want to see them get married. I want to see them start their families. I want to see what God has for them. Like, and and I think this is where when you this I've never really thought about this. Maybe this will be offensive. I think the less you get connected to your children and grandchildren, the more you get connected to esquetology.
>> Oo, that'll hurt some people.
>> And I think there is a generation of older people that they they are not invested in their kids. They're not really present and invested in their grandkids. And so they're pontificating, when is Jesus coming and when do I need to return? If you're focused on investing in your kids, your grandkids, maybe your great-grandkids, you're like, I'm not worried about the end times. I want to make sure that we're creating the best possible future for those people that I love so dearly. And if Jesus returns, great. And so, um, this will sound very offensive, but most of the boomers that suck at being grandparents are addicted to esquetology.
M >> and I believe there is a correlation and they should repent of being addicted to esquetology and take their time and energy and invest it in their kids and grandkids.
>> I love it. And the team will clip that out and we'll purge a bunch of followers and it'll be great. I love it. I I think it's good.
>> I mean, I believe >> I 100% agree.
>> I believe in the second coming of Christ. I have an esquetology. I I I believe in all of this, but at the end of the day, like >> I'm on the uh welcoming committee, not the planning committee. You know, I don't know when he's coming back, but when he does, I'll blow my kazoo. I love it. I love it. And to uh Pastor Mark, to close out this segment, um I feel like uh Tucker tried to take what's in the Bible and maybe manipulate it, read it in a sloppy way and kind of give people a context for what the Antichrist will look like or what and then allude to it being Trump. Taking what you've read in the Bible for the average bluecollar guy, what would this guy look like? What what would what would the attributes be of uh the Antichrist? for the truck driver that's like I don't I don't I don't fully theologically have the depth to understand this but I I'd like to have some parameters when I'm looking out there.
>> Let me give you two potential candidates. So one there's this constant effort to have a one world government and a one world currency and you saw a push toward that during COVID. We have a you know air quotes you know medical emergency. Now we every nation needs to give up their sovereignty and their liberty so that we can save the planet.
So there's there's all of these efforts to do globalism. Well, if all the nations come together and there's some sort of overarching governing legal body, you know, political body, medical body, financial body, whatever that governing body is, the question is who's going to be in charge?
>> Yep.
>> And whoever is in charge now has global authority and power. Well, if I'm Satan, I want my guy in that role.
>> Yep.
>> That would be the um the strategic place to put the Antichrist.
>> Yep. 100%. Um, the other way you could get there is honestly the vision of Islam is so their esquetology, their end times beliefs is that Islam will spread across the globe, usher in Sharia law and that all the nations will be ruled by Islam and then a global Islamic leader will rise up and will oversee the rule of Islam on planet earth.
>> That would be a great role for the Antichrist.
>> I mean, you talk about an Islamic ruler.
>> Yeah.
>> Um, who else would be Antichrist other than a secular globalist >> or a global jihadist? Those are both great candidates for the Antichrist.
>> Yeah, that's really good. That's really good. Really, really helpful.
>> So, the whole goal of Islam is to usher the way for what Christian esquetology says is the Antichrist.
It's really good. It's really good. I think that's a really helpful context for the average guy just trying to understand this. And >> the whole world comes together. A bad guy is going to be in charge of it. And if the Muslims rule, it's going to be Antichrist >> for sure. Very antichrist.
>> Yeah. And that's where, you know, I don't know Tucker. I've not met him. You know, I don't hate him. He seems to be my brother in Christ. But like I I would encourage those who are followers of his like don't keep shooting the Jews.
Instead, you know, fix your gaze on Islam.
and see what their esquetology actually is and and their esquetology, their their view of the end times actually aligns with second Thessalonians 2. And so you could make an incredibly stronger case that Islam leads to the Antichrist than Donald Trump.
>> Thank you very much for watching and if you do me a solid, go ahead and subscribe and we'll get you lots more Bible teaching content.
