This video examines how the U.S. Department of Justice awarded a $106 million contract to Elio Technologies, a company founded by Elliott Broidy, who pleaded guilty in 2020 to conspiracy to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act for lobbying Chinese and Malaysian interests, but was pardoned by President Trump in January 2021. The video criticizes this arrangement as problematic, noting that Broidy's company was contracted to use AI for prison phone monitoring—a service available through free trials—and questions why a pardoned criminal should receive government contracts, especially given his role as a major Republican fundraiser. The video argues this case illustrates broader concerns about government accountability and the normalization of such practices among children growing up during this period.

DOJ Hands HUGE Contract To Criminal Trump PardonedAdded:
The United States Department of Justice, in addition to of course going after all of Donald Trump's enemies, is still rewarding all of Donald Trump's friends, including criminals.
Elliott Broidy pleaded guilty in 2020 to conspiracy to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act after he was caught lobbying Trump's White House on behalf of Chinese and Malaysian interests.
So, he pleaded guilty.
And the court said, "Okay, we accept your guilty plea."
Which of course, by definition, means you are a criminal.
Right at the very end of his term, days before he left office in January of 2021, Donald Trump issued Elliott Broidy a pardon.
You're free to go.
You don't have to pay restitution. You don't have to do anything. You get out of jail free. Go live your life, Elliott Broidy, who happened to be a massive Republican fundraiser.
So, Broidy goes out and is involved in this new company called Elio Technologies. And when I say involved, I mean he's the CEO of Elio Technologies.
And they just received a massive $106 million contract from the Department of Justice.
Right? Not the Pentagon, which is usually where these massive contracts come from. No, no, no. This is from the DOJ.
And Mr. Broidy's company has been contracted $106 million to dollars to use AI to transcribe, translate, and monitor prison phone calls.
We we we have to pay this guy, this pardoned criminal, a $106 million to open up his to open up his chat GPT app?
Because all of those things you you can get almost all of those on one of the free trials. Like you don't have to pay for for the enhanced version of it to get almost all of those depending on which AI service you prefer.
Right? Like that's all readily available. Also, why are we spying on prison phone calls?
Those people are entitled to a degree of privacy.
God knows you don't give it to prisoners when they try to go to the bathroom or the shower.
But I think the monitoring of phone calls in prison, which has been going on forever now, is absolutely one of the most disgusting things about prison. I mean the treatment of the people there.
But this is insane.
We're going to trust this guy who admitted in court by pleading guilty, I'm a criminal.
So hey, I should be the one monitoring criminals. Also, I happen to be a massive Republican Party fundraiser.
And that's why he gets the damn contract.
They're they're you know we should expect this.
>> [clears throat] >> The president of the United States is a convicted felon.
So it makes sense that he would give contracts to other felons.
I just never in my life thought we would actually hit that point here in the United States. But we did. Here we are.
This is our reality.
And I guess we all just have to accept it.
And there are millions of children growing up right now. I want you to think about this. There's millions of children growing up right now.
There's children that are 10 years old or 8 years old. Trump has been president most of their lives.
So, for these 8 and 9-year-old kids, this is normal to them. This is all they've known.
And that is a horrible, terrifying thought that these kids are growing up in their formative years hearing things on the news and thinking, "I guess this is just how it works."
