NEWS CENTER Maine Weather Video Forecast追加:
So, it sounds like tomorrow is just going to be a good old rainy day. It is.
Yeah, I think you want to hang out inside, it'll be a good day for it. Uh Skip work.
>> [laughter] >> And stay >> uh maybe you work inside. Maybe you work inside. Yeah, you can just relish in the fact that >> people do. You you you'll know that you're not missing out on one of those really nice days of weather tomorrow.
Yeah. That typically happens for us on a Monday. I know. These days. These days.
>> watching everybody out the windows here, but um it it's going to be damp tomorrow. We're already seeing signs of that forecast beginning to uh show up literally on the lens of our tower cam. There are some areas of drizzle and mist. You see the drops uh on the lens here. It's 43° out, and that's coming with a reduction in visibility. There are going to be some pockets of fog working in from the coast tonight down to a mile worth of vision in Bar Harbor, and this is likely to spread inland as uh the mist or drizzle starts to follow suit. You can see very light return showing up on the radar, those green hues. Uh that's some very fine precipitation, so it's not going to be heavy, but the thing that will happen tonight is that the coverage of that light precip will expand, and it's going to dampen things up overnight. 40s, if not low 50s right now on the temperatures, uh and tonight, again, it starts to pick up, but I think the bulk of the rain, the heavier stuff holds off until early tomorrow morning, say 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning. So, uh that's where this shield of rain will come in. The stuff tonight will be coming in from the Gulf of Maine, and you'll see 7:00 or so, 8:00 in the morning, uh this round of rain works through. It will be moderate to heavy at times, and it'll be passing off and on throughout the entirety of the daytime hours of Thursday, so you will need uh some rain protection if your plans involve getting outside at all, even if it's just as simple as getting to and from the car, unless you just happen to time it just right, which is also plausible, too. So, um yeah, rain's going to be around tomorrow is the takeaway. By Friday morning, it's exiting east and north, and I think Friday is going to be overall a decent day of weather.
Rain totals will be beneficial, 1 and 1/2 to 2 and 1/2 inches along the midcoast, Penobscot Bay, and points to the north of that extending into the highlands, and then surrounding that a half inch to 1 and 1/2 inches of rain uh ahead of us for the rest of the state.
Again, improvements Friday, it's plausible we make a run at 60 on Friday afternoon with some sunshine. Saturday, just a spotty shower, nowhere near the coverage or intensity that we're going to see in tomorrow's rain. And then the question mark over the weekend is how close this offshore system can get to Maine. If it's any closer than this, we're probably going to have to bring in the precip chances. Right now, we're still watching, um but certainly plausible to have some coastal rain show up in our forecast pending the track of that offshore storm. Going to be rough on the waters tomorrow, 3 to 5-ft seas, winds gusting from the east to southeast up to around 30 knots. Improvements Friday afternoon. Weekend right now looks okay. Saturday, some spotty stuff, mid-50s. Sunday will hinge on the track of the offshore storm, and next week is looking milder. First week of May, and average highs that time, right around 60, so a more seasonal uh looking outlook with those temperatures right up near 60.
>> We're we're gradually getting there.
Slowly climbing stairs. Yeah.
>> Little little Yeah, baby steps.
>> very slow these days, but they're happening. For sure. Thank you.
>> You're welcome.
