A Breech Kitten Got Stuck During Birth

[00:00:00]This is a stray cat I found around my house. She looked like she was about to give birth, so I prepared a safe place for her using a cardboard box and a few soft cloths as bedding, hoping she could deliver her kittens comfortably and peacefully. As labor began, she seemed to be struggling. At first, I thought it was normal, but when I noticed that the kitten's legs were coming out first, I became worried. It was the first time I had ever witnessed a cat giving birth, especially a breech birth where the kitten emerged feet first. After waiting and gently rubbing the mother's belly, the kitten's body eventually came out, but its head remained stuck. My biggest fear was becoming reality. I was too afraid to pull the kitten because I didn't want to risk hurting either the mother or the baby, but I also couldn't just stand by and let the kitten run out of air.

[00:00:51]Thankfully, after continuing to gently stroke the mother's belly, the kitten's head finally came out safely. It was an incredibly tense moment, but both mother and kitten made it through. Today, the kittens are over 3 months old. There are three of them in total, and they are still staying at my house for now. They have grown so much, and seeing them healthy, playful, and happy alongside their mother makes all the worry from that day worth it.
