This segment masterfully bridges the gap between complex atmospheric physics and practical regional forecasting. It offers a clear, data-driven look at storm dynamics without unnecessary fluff.

TAMKO Building Products weekly severe weather segment. When could we get thunderstormsAdded:
Now, >> [music] >> from the Bridgewater Roofing Weather Center, this is your weekly severe weather outlook from Doug Heady Weather, brought to you by Tamko Building Products.
Hey, good Wednesday afternoon, everyone.
Meteorologist Doug Heady, of course, every single Wednesday we do our severe weather segment looking at when we could have severe weather down the line. Of course, our big sponsor, Tamko hail guard shingles as well. Bridgewater Roofing Weather Center takes care of you one roof at a time. And if we look at the radar, you can see some scattered showers, a few random little thunderstorms kind of popping up. These are going to lift north and increase as we go through the evening into the overnight hours tonight. So, we are going to have some scattered showers and thunderstorms out there this evening.
It's not that big of a deal. But, if we look at our storm energy, Midwest storm shelters, you can see not a ton of energy as we go through the next couple days. Here's Friday. We got a little bit of storm energy. The brighter these colors, the better chance you have for big, strong to severe storms.
But, this is just regular old thunderstorms. Now, by Saturday, look at this, it really increases from Wichita, Tulsa, Oklahoma City. We are kind of right on that edge. So, we want to watch that Sunday as well, and then into Monday. So, we're going to get these afternoon pop-up thunderstorms. And again, most of these are going to behave, but when you get this kind of energy, you have that chance to roll those over from strong storms to low-grade severe storms. Then, the energy is kind of dispersed around us.
We can go all the way to about June 7th, get a little bit of energy back, and then as we go through about June 11th, June 12th. But, if you watched my long-range segment yesterday, really the first 2 weeks of June are going to be calmer than the last two weeks that we see at the end of the month. All right, let me take you through time future cast Pascal air plumbing and electric scattered showers and again a few thunderstorms lifting through this evening into the overnight hours. We start Thursday with a few random showers increase again as we get into the afternoon. Hit and miss thunderstorms very similar to what we've had over the past couple days.
Friday we start with a few hit miss storms.
Kind of flaring up again as we go into the afternoon. I do not anticipate anything severe this evening, tomorrow or Friday. But again the weekend these things may be a little beefier as we go into Saturday afternoon. So we want to watch that and then also on Sunday afternoon as well. We could get some pretty good rainfall amounts one, two, maybe three inches in a lot of spots. All right, so why aren't we shifting out of severe weather season?
It's this guy.
Very pre- predominant ridge. If you watch my videos all the way back to last fall, I talk about how this ridge is a big factor in our pattern. Now during the winter into the spring the jet stream was strong enough that we could get systems kind of undercutting that ridge a lot, but as we go through the first two weeks of June, this is our main feature. So that doesn't allow big storm systems to dip down and give us severe weather. Yes, we're still going to have thunderstorms because it doesn't take much energy to get them in this time of the year. Want to watch this here in about a week and a half.
This does fit the pattern. I know it looks like a hurricane and it could be a tropical system, but either a tropical system is going to develop here or we're going to get an upper level low that sits in here because that does fit the pattern. But look at our monster ridge kind of hot across the region and then once we get to the second half of June, that's when things will kind of shift up a little bit. We'll start to get some more systems, kind of digging out across the west and giving us better chances for some thunderstorms for the second half of the month. All right, so let's go down the road. So, of course, we got our hit and miss storms over the next several days. I'm going to take you into next week and a much calmer week. Here's Wednesday, right around the 3rd into the 4th, maybe a few scattered thunderstorms. Then it looks pretty good all the way into the weekend of the 6th and 7th looking pretty good if you want to hit the lakes or do whatever. Even the following week, not much going on.
Then we start to get a little bit of that tropical moisture in here after June 10th and then things will be a little bit more active the second half of the month. All right, Maple Leaf, possible rainfall totals over the next 15 16 days. A lot of us could pick up 1 2 in but a lot of that is going to occur this week. Downstream Casino 7-day forecast, pretty good chances, scattered thunderstorms over the next several days. Uh temperatures, overall, mainly into lower 80s.
