[00:00:00]Narcissistic people tend to feel entitled to do as they please and they lack the empathy to care for how their behavior might affect you or those around them. They're just interested in getting away with their behavior so that they can exploit people. [snorts] Then they don't particularly feel guilty or remorseful for their behavior. That's why they don't apologize and they don't change their behavior. What they feel is that moment of shame. If they feel like they're potentially being judged by another, they take that as criticism.

There are several phrases narcissistic people use in order to excuse, rationalize, or justify their behavior. And one of the first things they might say to you is, "I've never had this problem with anybody else."

[00:00:55]When they've usually had a problem with everybody they've met. That's why they've ghosted people, fallen silent on people, moved from one relationship to the next. However, they want you to believe that you're the one that's causing the issue so that you change to serve them, and they don't have to change their behavior towards you. They can just turn around and claim, "I'm only joking." after they've mocked you, humiliated you, criticized you, shamed you, they can just then turn around when you tried to call them out on it and claim that they were only joking. It's not their fault that you're the one who can't take a joke when they weren't joking. They were looking to put you in your place so that they can feel superior to you. They can just turn around and claim that they don't want to argue with you or, oh, here we go again.

[00:01:44]So, every time you bring something up to try and get something resolved with them, it never gets resolved because they accuse you of trying to start an argument. And the more you try and approach the subject, the more it escalates into an argument. There is no good time to approach a narcissist about something they don't want to communicate with you about. They can just turn around and claim, "You need to stop trying to control me." So, whenever you try and enforce a boundary, they take offense to this and accuse you of trying to control them. or they can turn around and claim it's not my fault that they lied, cheated, stole, deceived, manipulated. However, they don't want to take responsibility for this. They want to blame you in some way by claiming if you hadn't then they wouldn't. Or they can turn around and claim that you're angry, you're bitter, you're jealous when they go and flirt with somebody, when they go and impress a stranger to get you to question your instincts and not their actions. or they can turn around and claim that you'll never find someone like them. To make out that they are better than you and to place that fear and that insecurity within you that you'll not be anything without them, which they'll also tell you, you'll never be anything without me. So, you work harder to please them while they continue to manipulate you.
