Food banks across the state have seen a increase in demand from nearly 30% to more than 100% since the pandemic. Nearly 20% of those earning $50,000 a year or less are saying that they're going without meals because of financial struggles. And in fact, there are food banks across the nation, Brian, that are reporting the demand is so great that some families are lining up overnight or sleeping in their cars in the parking lot so that they can get groceries the next day.
