Bubbles are gas trapped in liquid that form spheres because spheres minimize surface area; they pop when the water in their film evaporates, combine when touching to further minimize surface area, and appear rainbow-colored due to light refraction through varying film thickness.

yay bubbles and how they work, yay! #shorts #facts #educationAdded:
How do bubbles work? Now, all bubbles are just a gas trapped in a liquid. The air gets trapped inside because the top really wants some water and the bottom really doesn't. They're round because a sphere has the smallest surface area per amount of volume, and they pop because the film of the bubble has water in it, and that will evaporate. When two bubbles touch each other, they combine to minimize surface area. They're also rainbow colored because some parts of the bubble film are thicker than others, which affects how light refracts in them.
