Weather forecasts predict precipitation patterns and temperature conditions, with humidity significantly affecting human comfort by reducing the body's ability to cool through sweat evaporation, making high-humidity days feel hotter than actual temperatures.

10 Weather: Sunday night forecast, Tampa Bay area; May 10, 2026Added:
Exactly.
>> Sizzle sizzle and no drizzle.
>> Yep. So, satellite radar showing the very few showers that we had for today.
Some of you were lucky. It was really those inland areas. And also, areas around I-75, Pasco, Hernando County. You guys, if you were on that eastern edge of the county line, you likely saw that rain. But, the rest of us, yeah, just coming up dry, dry, dry.
Humid, but dry. So, taking a zoom in here. Last couple hours, we've seen those clouds increase. Also, Highlands County, you guys also have been pretty lucky from time to time with those showers. Clouds have been increasing in the overnight hours. We will have a little bit of fog out there as well for tomorrow. Shouldn't be enough to impact your morning commute, so don't worry about that. As we go into the overnight hours here, we'll be rain-free. Here we are tomorrow morning around 8:00 a.m.
You can see those low clouds as well as that fog. Certainly muggy enough to support it. Winds are light enough, as well. Here we are around lunchtime.
Uh-oh, right? Zilch. Nada. We just cannot get rain in our area. Now, I know all week long we've been saying Monday, Monday's our day. But, you know, now it looks like the front has kind of slowed down a little bit.
So, we will still get rain tomorrow.
Little bit more than what we saw all week, but it's not going to be a widespread event. So, don't be, you know, writing into me tomorrow to say, "Colleen, I ain't getting rain." Cuz I'm telling you right now, the models are looking a lot drier. Now, Tuesday, we will have those better rain chances, but it's mainly going to be south. Let's walk through this a little bit more.
Here we are 3:00 p.m. Again, east of I-75. As we would go into the evening hours tomorrow, Polk County, Highlands County, basically Mother Nature's favorites. Let's enter into Tuesday.
Looking a little bit better for Tuesday.
This is 9:00 a.m. Hear me out. Going into Tuesday afternoon, yeah, that's what we want. We want that front. Just sit on top of us. Let it pour. So, hopefully this comes to fruition. It is a little bit closer in time. The problem with the forecast is when you go 5 days out, that's when things are get a little iffy. That's why I've been saying all week long, Monday's our day, but it could fool us, and that's exactly what it did. So, Monday's rain chances have been tripped back. Tuesday looks like it's bumped up a little bit. This will be during the bulk of Tuesday afternoon, and then it's out of here. So, we have that opportunity Tuesday. Now, that model showing it around I-4 or north of that, but I really think it will be on the southern end. Uh so, we'll see how it goes. Here's the rainfall totals, and that's why I'm thinking that most of the areas south of I-4, all together, between Monday and Tuesday, will have higher rain totals. That's just what I'm seeing in the models here. Closer to the coast, yeah, you're looking at a tenth of an inch to a quarter of an inch. But, those areas like Polk County, DeSoto, Hardee, Highlands County, uh even portions of eastern Hillsborough County, Manatee and Sarasota, they will have the higher rain totals than say up here to Citrus County and uh northern Pasco and Hernando County, they could see lower rain totals compared to those locations I just mentioned. So, hopefully that's all clear. Looking into visibility fog for tomorrow, again, it won't be enough to delay your morning, uh but you will see it out there, so take your time if you are concerned about it, but it shouldn't be too thick or widespread. 75 for tonight, certainly muggy enough for fog. For tomorrow, 88s, and then 90°.
We're tapping into that 90° territory once again. Mix in the humidity, and this is how it's going to feel. It will feel like it's 97. Again, with humidity, humid days like we had for today and tomorrow, your body just can't cool down. The sweat doesn't evaporate as fast cuz the air isn't as dry. So, you do sweat a little bit more. 7-day forecast here, we have a week of stuffy, sultry temperatures. Tuesday, again, we're looking at that better rain chance, Wednesday a little bit of an isolated shower, and then Thursday, Friday drier with sunshine returning.
