[00:00:01]Hey everybody, it's Arlena Woke Hillbilly. That's right. Today I want to point up here at the capital.

[00:00:08]This is the West Virginia state capital.

[00:00:11]It's got a gold dome on top. Gold and blue are the state colors.

[00:00:15]And when I was a kid, it was actually painted gold and blue.

[00:00:18]But uh about the time I was in high school or something, I don't remember the date, they decided to put real gold leaf up there.

[00:00:26]Yeah. One of the poorest states in the country, they decided to put gold on the capital, real gold.

[00:00:34]And about a decade and a half ago, they had to come back and well, touch it up and do a lot of work. Took a couple years.

[00:00:41]All that money to have gold on top of one of the poorest states in America.

[00:00:47]We're at the bottom of everything. Last place on almost everything. Education, everything. Only thing we win on is like teenage childbirth and teenage smoking and smoking altogether.

[00:01:00]Yeah, that's the stuff that we're number one at.

[00:01:03]Think about it.

[00:01:04]But they can afford to put gold up there.

[00:01:09]People all across this state can't hardly put food on their table.

[00:01:12]They uh West Virginia has a real problem due to the mining industry raping this state. They have a real problem right now with people who can't drink the water coming out of their wells, out of their city taps. The water comes out gold, brown, and sometimes even black.

[00:01:30]Some of the strip mountain streams on in this state, because of the pollution that the coal industry left us, flows with a greasy look sometimes.

[00:01:38]There's this greasy greasy layer on top.

[00:01:41]It's coming down the creek for a day or two till it washes out.

[00:01:47]Yeah.

[00:01:50]But yet, we can afford to put gold on the capital.

[00:01:53]Think about that.

[00:01:54]That tells you the oligarchy in this state, tells you the oligarchy in America.

[00:02:01]That it's all about pointing at something and saying, "Look what we got." while people go hungry.

[00:02:08]I want to tell you about the rich.

[00:02:10]The rich don't care about you.

[00:02:13]The rich will starve a child so they can have a gold dome. They'll starve a child so they can have uh their mansions they live in, drive their Ferraris, but they'll starve a child to do that.

[00:02:27]Cuz they do not care about you.

[00:02:30]And we got this beautiful gold dome, right?

[00:02:33]While people in West Virginia can't drink water.

[00:02:36]At the end of the year they're going to use lose their SNAP program, and all across the state right now, school teachers are buying food for the children to take home to eat.

[00:02:46]Think about that.
