[00:00:00]I am joined by uh one of the students in the area here. Uh give us your honest opinion. What do you expect the president to say when he does address the country in a short minute?

[00:00:12]>> I don't really know what to expect, but I do expect transparency, honesty, and I guess more clarity on the matter as a whole cuz he is the president. So his job is to kind of steward the country and the country's resources. So I'd expect him to be very transparent as to how he was stewarding those resources.

[00:00:29]So yeah.

[00:00:30]>> Okay. And as you've heard some of your your friends here saying that they they've heard rumors about some sort some sort of a resignation. Do you think that this is in the best interest of the of the country?

[00:00:43]>> Well, no, not right now. I would say because of the matters regarding, you know, international matters also and things that are happening including the outbreak, you know, of the of the virus right now. So I don't think it would be a very I don't think it'd be good to us for as a country for the president to resign right now since there's so much happening around the world and also clearly here in South Africa. Yeah. So yeah and and certainly you absolutely you've actually touched on a number of things. I mean, as uh leaders are going to be sitting in parliament deciding on the fate of the president, you're saying that this is not the best time to remove a president. What do you then say to those people who are thrust and entrusted with the decision to decide whether the president should be impeached or not?

[00:01:35]>> Well, I mean, I do I do expect for them to take into consideration everything that is happening, right? I'm not giving a final verdict as to what should happen or what should not happen. Rather, I am saying in them discussing this issue, they should look at all the necessary components and factors to it. And in doing so, they should, if they are going to decide on whatever they decide on, they should have um a clear plan as to how they're going to go about it. A clear plan as to how they're going to achieve what they want to achieve, whether he resigns or not. they should have a plan to ensure that South Africa is not left at a loss or left with you know one leg standing. So yeah, >> I think those are some what wise words as you've heard Wongi uh a young student here speaking to us about uh the expectations from that address from President Sora and also a call to those who are going to be deliberating on matters pertaining to this matter in parliament and saying that there should be a clear plan as to uh what would could be a better alternative. You would have seen with the no confidence votes and everything uh where political parties have voted have decided not to vote or participate in no confidence motions in the absence of a strong alternative. And the young lady speaking about the different uh geopolitical matters that are uh taking place right now and saying that South Africa should not be found wanting by any means necessary but at the same time saying that there is a need for transparency.
