[00:01:23]All right, let's do it. Let's let's look at what's going on around town. Uh as we look at Toccoa, Gumlog, I mean, this is the heaviest activity that's rolling on through here. Uh and again, I think that would be our our consensus of where we see the strongest activity.

[00:01:37]Um let's look at a couple different things. We got rotation products here.

[00:01:40]This gives us a look at instant rotation. Um we've got, you know, some flare-ups that have been trying to rotate, but so far so good. Where we do have more rotation is back where there are some active tornado warnings uh in and around uh you know, southwest of Atlanta near Manchester uh north of Columbus, Georgia. So, we've got some space between that and us right now, but that does have a history of producing some some rotation in the mid layers of the atmosphere. Again, uh this is a low pressure system spinning around that gives us that potential. So, we'll be looking out for that uh very closely.

[00:02:19]Well, right now you got the strongest activity just south of you uh pushing toward Columbia. That has unfortunately had a history of producing some some tree damage, uh down trees, large down trees in and around Augusta. So, that's why this one continues to be storm warned in and around Columbia, but it's just south of you, friends, there in Newberry County. Uh not quite in our um immediate area uh for TV, but we're watching it for you. Uh same story for these storms moving out of uh northeast Georgia uh packing a punch right here.

[00:03:04]>> LaFrance in the house, all right. A little bit of hail concern, not not as much of a a a hail situation uh as it is um just some of these strong storms rolling on through. If I look at the one of our products here, you know, capable of producing some hail, but this is really about how much rain it puts down in a short period of time. Uh looking at precipitation rates, I mean uh this is a pouring pouring storm here moving into Oconee County. These are precipitation rates that are just rocking right now.

[00:03:32]>> Allison asked if it's going to make it to the Asheville area, Leicester specifically.

[00:03:36]>> It will. I I think Leicester, Biltmore, uh Asheville, it's going to be south of you for the most part, but look at these rainfall rates. I mean, this is trying to push into Rosman and Highlands, Cashiers. Uh you're going to get some in Bent Creek up through Weaverville uh here shortly as we watch this closely.

[00:03:53]Uh watching that very, very closely for you folks.

[00:04:00]>> Toccoa rocking and rolling, okay. And in fact, you've got some really heavy rain.

[00:04:04]We've already had uh an inch and a half of rain here, looking at our totals so far, uh as it rolls on through these areas.

[00:04:12]So, uh this one cell, as as we've been telling you, and they're still what we're told it's going to go till 5:00 a.m.

[00:04:18]Uh this one cell already in Stephens County pushing into Oconee County has put down 1 and 1/2 inches of rain.

[00:04:26]>> Heads-up there. All right, we've got a new severe thunderstorm warning has been updated. Let's check that.

[00:04:31]>> Radar indicated tornado warning has been issued.

[00:04:35]>> All right, got a radar indicated tornado warning, a third one here for uh south of Atlanta. So, again, uh I've got the alerts turned on for Georgia. Hope that's okay, folks. Don't want to leave our Georgia folks out, uh but we do have uh the warnings turned on for for everybody. That's why you're seeing uh just about everybody there. Uh Destiny says, "When will uh it be okay to go to sleep without worrying about tornadoes?"

[00:04:54]Great question. I don't think it's one of those nights. I think it's one of those nights where our greatest risk is going to come from flooding post about 10:00 p.m., okay? So, I'd stay stay frosty through about 10:00 p.m. After that, we are going to stay frosty for you. You just need to have a way to receive warnings. That's the key going into the overnight hours. Uh Amy says, "You're about to talk about Lawrence before you froze." Yeah, I need to reboot this computer is unfortunately what needs to happen here, folks. So, I'm going to I'm going to hop off here in just a second before we get into some of the thick of this and and reboot the computer, give it a a fresh reboot. But, that's what we're seeing right now.

[00:05:26]>> One of your viewers had asked, "When it rains and it cools down, does that decrease the chance of tornadoes when it's cooler?"

[00:05:31]>> It it does. I mean, when it when when you have uh the atmosphere worked over, it kind of takes away some of the storm fuel. The the problem with tonight is the fact that we have uh a lot of wind energy. So, you can do a lot with a little bit of storm fuel. That's the the the atmosphere being worked over. So, when you have storm energy like this coming in with a low pressure system, uh it can overwhelm that. So, simply put, um it's going to help.

[00:05:55]That is certainly going to help, but it's not going to remove the threat, especially through about 10:00 p.m.

[00:05:58]tonight. I think after that, um we're going to shift over to more more of a rain threat, all right? Uh and and a flooding threat.

[00:06:14]>> Uh >> I'm going to do one more storm track here, folks, and I'm going to hop off, reset this computer, kind of kind of give it a a fresh reboot here, because it looks like it's it's giving me some trouble with uh looks like I'm lagging, but sounds like the audio is coming through. It's just um got a lot of storm tracking capabilities going on right now. Uh Seneca, Clemson, Anderson, these are the storm tracker uh time frames for you as we're watching them uh through Anderson, Easley, Parker, uh Berea, uh Gantt, Greenville about 7:45, Simpsonville about 8:00 ish, uh Wade Hampton area about 8:00 ish. Uh that's when that uh heavier batch moves on through. So, uh again, the tornado threat is there. It is not off the charts by any means, but it's certainly something that we're going to be watching closely over the next couple of hours as this unfolds. So, a reboot of the computer system coming your way, folks. I can't even I can't even get to the reboot screen.
