Body image significantly influences self-worth and life choices, as individuals often use their physical appearance to determine their value, which can lead to limiting life opportunities; however, the body serves as a sacred vessel that enables all human experiences and provides continuous feedback about our well-being, regardless of its size or shape, making it essential to cultivate appreciation and love for our bodies as they are the fundamental medium through which we experience life.

How Your Body Image Secretly Controls Your Self-Worth | The Hidden Psychology ExplainedAdded:
I have seen women who could achieve everything in the world and yet feel unsatisfied because they're not happy with their own bodies.
Now, our bodies are an addition, a sum of our genetics, of our ancestors, our eating habits, our sleeping habits, our stress levels, everything. It's not always going to be in our control. Okay?
But, you know, one beautiful thing, I'm so glad you brought this up because I've struggled with it for the longest time.
When I was 8, 9, 10 and I started hearing the word, "You're fat. Oh my god, you're so chubby. Oh my god, you're so big." That stayed with me.
And um I desperately somehow all the time, I think 70% of my mind was just occupied with how do I become thinner?
And that was always a battle because I'd become thinner and then put on weight again and become thinner and put on weight again.
I made many choices in my life that were not great choices. I gave in to people who were not worthy of me because I felt like, "I'm not going to get better than this. Look at me, I'm fat."
"I'm not going to get more money than this. Look at me, I'm fat."
I used the way I looked to determine my own value.
Today, I understand that my body had such a sacred role to play in my own story.
When I felt insecure because there was a history of being abused by men, when I felt insecure, my body put on weight to protect me.
Even today, I am possibly at my largest I have been.
But, I'm able to see the beauty of it because it's ironical that the time in my life where the maximum attention has come to me I am the biggest.
>> [laughter] >> But I think hundreds of women DM me so often saying that we look at you and we realize that you're happy even though you're still working on your health journey.
We look at you and we realize that you're successful even though you are not the classic thin and sexy. We look at you and we realize that it's okay to laugh at yourself.
You give us the courage to love ourselves a little bit more because of the way that you are.
What I speak is one message. My body is giving out another message all together.
And I cannot thank the body enough for sending out such a positive message that it's okay to love yourself.
Your body sizes are going to change your whole life.
But I heard somebody say this on Instagram and it stuck with me.
But just imagine that you were this you know, blip, this light, this soul who didn't have a human experience and was craving for a human experience, was craving for all of your five senses to be met, was craving for the love and the food and the sex and the adventures, but you didn't have a body.
At that time, even if you found a body with one limb missing it would still give you the whole human experience.
For the soul it would still be like wow I can taste things. I can smell things.
Oh my god, this is amazing.
That day I started seeing my body differently.
That it is this body whether it's a extra small, small, medium, large, extra large, extra extra large that is allowing you to have the experience of life.
No matter how we treated our body, >> Mhm.
>> our body has never given up on us.
It's given us feedback.
It's given us warnings. We put on weight, it's saying, "Be careful." We can't sleep, it's saying, "Be careful."
We've got the headaches and migraines, it's saying, "Be careful."
We didn't listen.
And yet the body didn't give up on us.
Imagine the amount of love it has for us. And imagine the amount of love we have for it.
>> Mhm.
>> It's not fair.
It's not fair.
Whatever you don't appreciate, whatever you don't love, is going to be taken away from you.
If the body is taken away from you, your human experience ends. So, while you have the time, cuddle it a little bit more. Love it.
Enjoy it.
