In 1942, British commandos executed a daring raid on the heavily defended St. Nazaire dry dock in France by disguising HMS Campbeltown as a German ship and ramming it into the dock, where hidden explosives detonated 10 hours later, permanently crippling Germany's ability to service its largest battleships for the remainder of World War II.

A British Trojan Horse?Added:
World War II fun fact.
In 1942, the British had a wild plan to destroy a massive dry dock in France.
Since air raids weren't working, they took an old destroyer, disguised as a German ship, and sailed it straight into the enemy port.
The British rammed the dry dock, and then nothing happened.
The Germans laughed, thinking the British were crazy, until 10 hours later when the ship's hidden explosives detonated.
This kept the dry dock unusable for the rest of the war.
