Professional vehicle recovery agents balance their legal obligation to repossess vehicles with humane treatment of debtors, as demonstrated when agents provided a ride back to a hotel after safely completing a repossession, showing that the industry involves both professional duty and compassion toward individuals facing financial difficulties.

She Lost Her Car... But We Still Helped Her!追加:
Third out.
Just cuz you're a female and I'm a male, we're recording so you don't say I'm not saying you're going to say I just everything is just legality.
>> Yeah.
>> When's the last time you talked to them?
>> Last week on Tuesday.
>> Okay.
>> They told me that yeah, we'll be we'll be in touch and they said to let them know when I was going to make a payment.
I told them I was making a payment tomorrow.
>> You guys are from New Mexico?
>> Yes.
>> How long you been here?
>> Last week and this week.
>> And you're down here for work?
>> Yeah.
>> What do you guys do for work?
>> Electrical.
>> What part of New Mexico?
>> Uh reservation, the northern part.
>> What is it?
>> Navajo Nation.
>> The Navajo Nation at Gallup?
>> Yeah.
>> Do you know how far behind you are?
>> Just like two or three months.
And I've been talking to them. I had back in March on my wrist and that was painful when I was on my way to work.
And I got work release back in April and then I've been looking for work and I didn't find anything until just recently.
>> You didn't see me at the hotel?
>> I did.
But I didn't suspect anything.
>> No?
>> I seen you park and then I was like I seen you come in and then I just didn't know if >> You looked right at me when I pulled in.
>> I know.
>> I was like, "Oh man, she knows."
>> And then I saw you park and then I was like, "Yep, he's following me.
I already know it."
>> You know I was following you?
>> Yep.
>> All the way over there?
It's hard to miss a big red truck.
>> Yep.
>> Did you see me though?
>> Yep, I saw you.
Like I said, I saw you when I peeked out the door.
And I saw you pull in and I saw you park on the back side.
You saw me >> Did you see me at the UT?
>> Yep.
>> Why'd you go in?
>> I didn't think anything. I didn't think like, "Oh okay, yeah, I think my car's going to get repoed."
And I've been I've been calling them and I've been talking to them.
What would be the number to that place?
>> Which one?
>> Where did you tow the car?
>> I'll give you all of that information right now. You just got to contact your finance company there first thing in the morning.
>> I'm pretty sure they're still open.
>> Uh they might be, I don't know.
>> It says 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, so it's like 7:00 now.
>> Yeah, they'll give you all that info, but I'll I'll go ahead and give you the information.
You have their phone number or anything to call?
Is it just you and your husband over here?
>> I said >> How long are you guys supposed to be down here for?
>> They told us about 4 or 5 months.
>> 4 or 5 months?
You guys are in a hotel for 4 or 5 months?
Are they paying for the hotel?
>> Yes.
>> Oh, that's good.
Is he part of the union?
>> No.
>> No?
>> I obviously can't go to work tomorrow, so >> I'll give you some of our information. I I mean, I'll let you guys get your tools out. I mean, usually there's a the long process to do all this, but just call our office tomorrow. We'll try to expedite at least getting your tools back so you guys can get to work.
>> Yeah, but how are we supposed to get around?
>> I I don't you know, I I can't tell you that. I mean, you're probably going to have to make some type of payment, but I'll go ahead and let them know that you guys turned over the keys. I mean, it it says something as far as good faith, but Let me get you that information.
All right. Sorry you guys jumped in on part of this conversation, but let me explain to you what happened.
I was actually uh scanning our license plates through this and we got a a live hit on the plate. It was a wanted vehicle that was through nationwide LPR.
I accepted the assignment, and as soon as I did that, I turned around in the hotel and she was already leaving. When I had pulled in, she looked right at me and seen me.
And I actually So.
Anyways, I actually started to follow her for about 2 miles.
It's really hard for us to follow somebody in a big old red tow truck. Anyways, she ended up going through uh Church's Chicken through the drive-thru and uh you know, I called one of our other my other boy, my LJ, my boy, and he had just left the yard, which is not too far.
And uh he started heading towards where I was.
Anyways, she went through the drive-thru um at Church's Chicken and ordered food.
And then she pulled into QT where I was staging doing and doing some surveillance on her, watching her.
She pulled on the opposite side of the parking lot where I was parked and she had got out to go inside.
At that point, I affected the repossession um and LJ was there.
We drug it out of a parking space. We didn't get any of this on video. I wish we would have cuz it was a pretty pretty cool repo.
Anyways, we drug it out of a parking space. QT is a gas station full of people.
We got it out of the parking space and he dropped his boom.
I unstrapped, he picked it up, she ran out.
She was a little hostile.
We were going to let her get her stuff out right there, but she refused to give us the key, so we just took off.
We got a few blocks away, called it into the police department, and then both of us were debating, "Hey, we feel bad. We do. You do feel bad.
Uh we should at least give her some of her stuff, you know, her phones were in there.
Um her fresh food from Church's Chicken was in there.
My truck still smells like it because I gave her a ride. So, we call it in and we're debating to go back there. We don't usually do that, especially when people get hostile.
We do have a heart and we do care for people.
This job is a rough job. Uh an agent in Florida just got shot. Rest in peace to that agent and you know, condolences to his family. Um So, as we got done debating, she had actually found us down the street. I We were literally a couple blocks away.
We weren't worried too much, obviously.
Um but she approached us.
And at first, she didn't want to give us the key again, and uh we explained to her, "Look, like it's just going to cost a lot more money. If you don't want to get your phone and and exchange for the key, that's fine. You can come down to our facility, make an appointment."
She had all her work tools in there and that chicken, her dinner.
She was carrying two drinks from QuickTrip.
Anyways, she came to her senses and let her get her phones, food out. She couldn't get everything.
Then she asked me for a ride.
I don't usually do that. However, that's when this recording started.
Um I felt bad. She was a few miles away from her hotel.
That conversation you heard with us was me and the debtor.
Since she was a female, too, I wanted to record. I didn't want her to say I did this, I did that.
But we do care for people.
I wish we would have got that on the video, that part of the repo, but hey, we do care for people.
Thanks for tuning in to this little ride along.
Peace.
