The discussion highlights a critical friction between institutional oversight and familial sovereignty, questioning if state-led education liberates children or merely alienates parents. It serves as a poignant reminder that the classroom has become the primary frontier in the struggle for cultural and moral authority.

Parents vs The State: Who Should Teach Sex Education?
Added:You're telling me that in school kids are being taught about whatever anal sex whatever you're saying.
>> I'm saying that number one they're being taught but not through specific guidance to say you have to teach children about this but they are not policed on it and it is >> enable but teachers have the freedom to teach their kids teach the kids in their class about it and whatever you're saying teachers have the freedom and you're saying they shouldn't have the freedom. Okay. In the UK, parents have the right to ask to request their kids to be withdrawn from any teaching about um PhD and any of that sort. For your argument to make sense, either parents don't know this is going on, parents are okay with this going on or um like parents don't care about the things that you are saying. Which one of these is true?
>> All three.
>> So, number one, parents are unaware. If you were about anal sex as an eight-year-old, would you tell your parents about it? I can tell you for a fact that I have close friends who I don't want to name because it's not my place to do so whose children have gone have have been taught absolutely disgusting things about drag queen story hours as well and their children they did not know about it because little Johnny their kid I'm just using that you know to cover up their name didn't tell their parents okay I don't know your friends I don't know these people but I can tell you as an 8-year-old if you're like I think generally the average kid talks to their parents >> actually I I totally beg to differ on that.
>> The average 8-year-old, you're telling me they're private about their life.
>> No, I'd say the fact that the average 8-year-old doesn't understand why that would be problematic and why should they? I think you the I think if you actually went out and spoke to parents, they are so disconnected from what their children are taught within the education system. And I actually think it's a massive problem that parents are offloading responsibility to the state and to the education system. Now, I'm very fortunate growing up, my dad essentially, I went to state education.
I went to a comp. I went to a state primary. But my dad was very hands-on when it came to um teaching me outside of the education system, you know, history, biology, maths, all of this stuff. And I'm very fortunate about that. But my dad's partner, for example, she used to come home and say, "My parent, my kids don't tell me anything that they're really taught at school."
It's culturally a lot of parents don't know, actually. I'd be surprised. Will Will cameras?
>> Yeah. Just check if this J.
>> So your So your issue is not that kids are being taught this is that parents don't care enough to stop it.
>> No, it's both.
>> So when do you think is the appropriate age to for kids to be taught about this?
>> I don't think the state should teach the children anything.
>> So >> I believe in meaning what? Because >> sex education.
>> So sorry kids shouldn't be taught about sex education below the age of 18.
>> Below the age of what?
>> Well, forget below the age. The state does not need to teach children sex education. Full stop. Forget to cases such that insact you're better lit in the sun.
>> Yeah, there we go.
>> Sorry, I didn't hear what he said.
Sorry.
>> Stay away.
>> Stay [laughter] away.
>> You can come in if you want, but I don't want to. It's up to you.
>> What I'm saying is when you you have you told me that parents don't care enough or aren't informed enough in what is going on in school.
>> Yeah.
>> Is so is that an issue?
>> That is an issue. Yes.
>> Okay. So therefore, kids shouldn't be taught about sex education by a state government.
>> Indeed.
>> Okay. But private government, private schools, what does that mean for private schools?
>> Well, private schools is the parents will will will go in and they can assess the curriculum and they can turn around and say, "Okay, well, this is what I'm taught." And that would be the encou part of private schools is understanding what they offer. Do you know why? Cuz you're paying for it. So, you actually have fulfill and more and and >> it would be cheaper if we didn't have state education. So you're saying that private schools private schools should be able to teach their kids about sexual education, but public schools shouldn't.
>> Well, I think you should then have it's this is a nuanced conversation. So if you were to turn around and say, well, how can you at what point should we have a conversation about how at the age? So I would say definitely like a 5-year-old doesn't need to know about the birds and the bees, right? Uh but one could argue if they're paying X amount of money in a free market that if their parent that we should have safeguarding within private education and then when they get to the certain age of about 11 maybe they can learn the birds and the bees basics.
Maybe we can have that conversation.
That's implementation legislation.
>> That's what you're saying. You're saying the state shouldn't teach their kids this.
>> The state should not but if by the parents and you just said the parents are unaware in what their kids lives are going on in their kids.
>> So and I can expand exactly why that is the case. Okay. Do I get one?
>> So you just said >> No, no, no. Because Yeah. Because we live in this toxic circle of state intervention infantilizing the British public, meaning that parents are naturally falling away from their responsibility. So I'm not defending um the state and I'm also not defending parents and just generally the British public. Another thing, and this may sound off off topic, but it's similar.
You go down to uh Leicester Square tube station and I you will find probably a poster that turns around and says run don't walk or make sure you don't drink too much alcohol. It's like why are we living I mean you must know the concept of a of a nanny state. Why are we living in a culture where the state feels that they have to dictate to us about how we live our lives? We saw this in the lock >> because because people have the attitude that they can do whatever they want in their lives. Like two weeks ago two sorry [laughter] breaking the law is not something you should be able to do.
Well, define rap like fine fine. I'll give you what if the law is going outside like during an example. Two weeks ago, my friend lives in gold is green. Two weeks ago, an 11-year-old girl was raped in gold is green. You're telling me that an 11year-old girl should not be taught that rape is a thing and instead become vulnerable to being raped at 11 years old.
>> I believe in the individual and that parents can do that. Why the h if I'm sorry mate, but if you had kids and if I had a daughter and she was walking around and I let allowed her to go outside, I wouldn't be very irresponsible, wouldn't I, as a parent to just allow my daughter to walk around? I would like to think that I have trust in the British public and individ in in the individual to safeguard their own children. I do not need the state to come in and say, "We'll do it for you."
>> Yeah, but you so you are relying on the fact that people are just generally good people and they won't do these things.
>> Oh, I know. It's shocking.
>> You are not good people in society. So we should have the state to come in and do it for us.
>> Exactly. The state is there to protect people from people who are not a nice guy.
>> I don't Okay. Personally, I don't like >> Name one good prime minister from the past 25 years.
>> All heading the state indoctrinating children. Name one good prime minister that we've put our trust in.
>> State is definitely better than these people who will go out and rape 11year-olds. I'm telling you, Kistan is not the kind of person who would rape an 11-year-old. I'm not suggesting someone else. He is the one that enables it.
Someone else. Exactly. And so >> the state enabled so much rapact the state should the state should not be able to allow these people to do these things. The state should teach children about the capabilities of people in society.
>> We don't need to teach children. We just need to well I would say deport millions and also like actually have justice in this country. Like I believe for like I said deport millions you know millions of foreigners. We should have remigration. It's another topic which I'm happy to get into. But >> yeah, I agree.
>> I ultimately believe I'll just give you a very quick rundown. I'm classically liberal in my argument. I believe in John Lock's theology. Sorry, not theology, ideology. And and and I believe that the government should be limited to purely protecting life, liberty, and property. They're the three fundamentals. Now, obviously, when it comes to liberty, that doesn't mean I can go around stabbing people in the street, >> but people do. People do.
>> People do. So they should be prosecuted and we should look at parents bringing up their children >> and you can't deal with a problem just by arresting everyone who does it.
People can't the the government doesn't have the okay fine in an ideal world maybe we catch every single person who commits rape on these in the whole planet. I'm telling you that is not a realistic thing to happen.
>> Who commits more knife crime? This does lead us on to the next topic doesn't it?
>> That's not a real white people.
>> That's not a realistic thing to happen in society. Night crime, mate. Let's do it. Best president ever, Churchill.
Right. We need to deport everybody. Keep So we only have white rapists, right?
Keep all crime white. That's what we >> Why are we bringing up skin color? Why do we care about Why are you racializing it? I don't care.
>> You're saying deport people. That's what you're >> I would deport French people.
>> You're using You're using like unolitical words, but I know what you mean.
>> I would deport Swedish people, Spanish people, French people. Classically, they're all white.
>> So, okay. Hang on. Hang on. What grounds do you have? What grounds do you have for deporting these people?
>> What grounds do you have?
>> Interesting. [laughter] >> Great. Great.
>> Sorry. What grounds do you have for deporting these people? For entering the country illegally.
>> Uh if Well, I think he's he's he's playing the game.
>> Well, no, no, absolutely. Like, if you're an illegal migrant who's broken into my country, you're going home.
Like, yeah, inevitably.
