[00:00:04]>> We got some raindrops coming down in Medford tracking some shower and even thunderstorm activity pushing across Southern Oregon and Northern California.

[00:00:13]Still in the 90s in Medford, 96° right now, 84 in Mount Shasta and 79° in Klamath Falls. We've seen some showers in the basin as well. This is all thanks to basically monsoonal moisture that's been moved up into our region. Also helped along by the remnants of what was once a tropical storm Alida. And with this spinning offshore, it's going to help produce more showers and thunderstorms. Not only tonight, but especially tomorrow. Tomorrow we are more concerned about thunderstorms and also likely the potential of new fire starts. Here's a closer look at seeing these uh pockets of showers pushing across the region. Some thunderstorms though up around Diamond Lake. The thunderstorm threat into this evening mainly going to be along and east of the Cascades. We'll keep at least the chance for a shower overnight and maybe a rumble of thunder. Very mild and muggy down to 70° in Medford, 57° in Klamath Falls. And we'll drop to about 63° in Yreka tomorrow. Another very hot day in the Rogue Valley. We're going to start off with sunshine. Things are going to heat up quickly. And then as we move into the afternoon, we'll see those uh showers and storms firing up. Here's a look at Futurecast with how things play out for us. Some lingering shower activity tonight, maybe a rumble of thunder. We'll watch that closely.

[00:01:30]Tomorrow morning, a break. Sunshine.

[00:01:33]Things are going to really heat up. It's going to be humid as well, especially in the morning. And then in the afternoon, seeing those thunderstorms developing producing abundant lightning and one or two storms could be on the stronger side. As we head through tomorrow night, we'll see the thunderstorm threat coming to an end. The biggest concern with these storms mainly going to be the lightning and new fire starts. Uh fuels are critically dry right now, so any lightning is going to be a big concern.

[00:02:02]Although these storms will produce some heavier downpours as well. One or two storms, especially in Klamath and Lake County, could produce some stronger wind gusts and maybe even some hail. A red flag warning in place, Jackson, Klamath and Lake County, 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. tomorrow. This is where thunderstorms will be most numerous. And then once we get past tomorrow, the fire weather concerns don't end. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we're going to see some pretty gusty winds for much of the region, especially the Shasta Valley and the east side with very low humidity.

[00:02:33]That's going to create those critical fire weather conditions where fires can spread rapidly. So, we'll be tracking that closely. Next few days for the basin, the threat for storms tomorrow.

[00:02:42]Lots of sun on Friday, but you'll notice those winds cranking up, still reaching highs up around 90° for the Rogue Valley. Not as toasty Thursday and Friday, highs in the mid-90s, much more seasonal, but notice those winds picking up on Friday. It does look really nice though Thursday evening at the Britt Festival, Young the Giant with Cold War Kids and Beach Weather going to take the Britt stage. It'll be a bit hot, but all in all pretty pleasant by about 10:00, readings in the mid-70s. And then looking at that temperature trend, notice the heat continues to ease right through this weekend. Your 7-day forecast for the coast, at least a slight chance of a shower tomorrow, maybe a rumble of thunder. Also watching Saturday for maybe some showers at the coast. Northern California, some isolated showers and thunderstorms possible tomorrow. Gusty winds expected in the Shasta Valley. For northern for rather the Klamath Basin, the chance for thunderstorms on your Wednesday. Dry weather late in the week into the weekend, but concerned about those gusty winds. The mountains, keeping that eye out for those thunderstorms tomorrow, the concern for new fire starts. And then in the Rogue Valley, very hot tomorrow, muggy with the chance for storms. Dry weather the rest of the week [music] with that heat easing through the weekend.
