[00:00:37]It's the 10th of July. It's Friday.

[00:00:41]Had a pretty epic lightning show last night, but we're not satisfied. Oh, look at this guy here. I'm not used to [music] this. Don't see pelicans where I come from ever. Crazy looking bird.

[00:00:56]Very cool. We are on the shores of Lake Defen Baker, Dean [music] Baker Lake or whatever. It's like a reservoir on the river. Oh yeah. Come back to me, buddy.

[00:01:09]And we're going to be waiting here for a while today. We're going to be waiting because uh things are going to happen maybe late. We just like to get in a position and wait. Be ready. for whatever may come when things change. We don't have far to go or drive any direction. Now, we have lots of options and the parameters are very high for severe activity the next two days. There's some debate about whether the cap will hold or not. And I'm like, guys, every day things have been just going nuts without much trigger, without necessarily a big low moving through.

[00:01:49]Every day there's [music] been storms cranking. Last night we're at 3:00 in the morning and storms are cranking. So, I mean, what might happen is that uh it waits till night time and the air cools a little bit and that's enough to kind of let the cap go and then things go up.

[00:02:00]That's what's been happening a lot the last couple days. So, that conceivably is what might happen again.

[00:02:08]May take a while, but I mean the parameters are here right now. We have like cape off the charts. We got high due points. We got high extreme heat now in effect. We got mugginess. See at lots of lots of humidity. We're definitely in a position right now where I don't think severe [music] is is uh not just out of the question. It could be potentially historic event [music] in the next two days. And we'd like to be here to see it. Here go more of these pelicans, man.

[00:02:42]Beautiful. You don't see [music] that in British Columbia. Really?

[00:02:46]Yeah. I didn't even know until I came to the prairies the [music] first time. I was like, "Pelicans are in Canada." So, we'll explore Dee and Baker Lake area a little bit today. Find some napping places, get some lookouts. There's lots of good lookouts [music] along the high prairie. If something goes on, we'll be in a pretty good position to see it, I'm almost certain. So, that's what this episode's about. Hit like, share, subscribe. Yeah, just about 2:00 in the afternoon. We're sitting right [music] along the edge of the river here where a development line, there's a tornado warn storm to the north, but it's going into areas we don't want to chase. Whereas this is pulling itself together in [music] every direction, right where we want to go. That might take a little while to get itself cohesive and we're going to be patient about it.

[00:03:27]It's already made a [music] couple thunder claps, a little bit of a little bit of preip coming out. It needs [music] time. It's not just going to punch to the cap on its first try. It just keeps cycling and cycling and cycling. You can see it in real time each time a head goes up.

[00:03:45]I'm not concerned at all that it won't eventually figure [music] itself out. It just has to get more friends to come join the party. Here we have beautiful Saskatchewan.

[00:03:56]We have these guys in behind us trying to join the party. [music] You look south, there's nothing. Where we want to be is the south end of all this so we can stay behind it or south of it just like how we [music] uh ran into our tornado on Wednesday at first.

[00:04:15]It's going to take time. It's only 2:00 in the afternoon. It's a little early.

[00:04:20]This is the guy. We're going to end up following him at some point here sooner than later on his little journey.

[00:04:31]Okay, we're on our storm. The wall cloud is absolutely present. She's just gone severe warned.

[00:04:39]Got lots of scudly action. Lots of nice warm moist air trying to funnel up into it.

[00:04:46]I don't know how long it's going to be in this state before it makes a real rotating run, but we are like totally eyes on the prize in the right place right now.

[00:04:56]This baby is going to do something magical this afternoon. It's so low to the ground as it is. It's really quite exciting.

[00:05:07]I have a really good feeling that this one's going to produce today.

[00:05:28]You can see uh the whole shaft of it cranking down in behind here. Like this is this is the spot.

[00:06:02]It was like really coming out the side at first, but now it's really starting to aim itself more down. I can see in the backside.

[00:06:21]the tractor in terms of going uh yeah freaking tractor it's moving slow enough if we have to if we have to double back so be it [ __ ] it's going slow enough we can do We can't we can't uh always just play so safe that we end up [ __ ] 10 miles from it. You know what I mean?
