[00:37:28]And in this case here, you're perfectly legal to walk around and carry it. After a long- winded and flawed lecture, police were forced to let the man go because there was zero evidence that he had been waving a gun. Sometimes the very people sworn to enforce the law are the ones who know the least about it.

[00:37:46]They prioritize their own sense of safety over your freedom. This officer may have simply lacked knowledge, but the officer in the following incident made a fatal mistake.

[00:37:57]On November 28th, 2023, a man cycled past a patrol car and flipped the middle finger, an act constitutionally protected under free speech. Instead of ignoring it, Officer Best decided to pull him over.

And uh so I get out to see what his problem is and I tell him why I'm stopping him for riding his bicycle on the sidewalk and not using both his hands on the um the uh handlebars and going against traffic and uh so he's uh he's being a tough guy. So regardless, I start to write him a written warning. I was going to give him a warning for it, but then he's just being so uncooperative and like, you know, and then I was getting ready to write him um see ordinances, but then I remember we can't use the 702s anymore, right?

They can ride on the sidewalk here um and basically anywhere else in the city, just not on Beach Street or some of those restrictions.

He failed to realize that confessing to altering a penalty based on a citizen's attitude is golden evidence for a civil rights lawsuit.
