Self-acceptance and the ability to move past societal shame enables individuals to express themselves authentically and develop unique styles, as those who embrace their individuality rather than conforming to social expectations often become trailblazers in creative and personal expression.

weird girls dress the best. 👢追加:
The weird girl, especially when institutionalized, is underrated when it comes to their potential to be the most dynamic and stylish in the room. Here's why weird girls dress the best.
Hi guys. Welcome back. I'm Jada if you're new here and today's video is all about the weird girl. When I say weird, it's complimentary. In a past video, I was talking about nerds and someone commented saying that nerds usually have a negative connotation associated with who they are. And while that is traditionally and by definition true, the cool thing about words and language is that you can sometimes stretch its definition based off your context and experience with it. You can kind of reshape it in a way. And so, for me, I always say I love nerds. I love dating them. I love being around them. I think the reason why it even has a negative connotation is because of movies and film and TV shows that we watched growing up. I see just a genius.
I don't know. I love nerds. And I could be using this word wrong, but anyone that neurotypical people reject, I usually like those people. The weird, the awkward, the outliers, the people with dynamic thinking and so much more.
Like I love people who are just naturally different. And it's also true that since first grade, the school system kind of grooms children to compete within this social hierarchy with superlatives and grades and all these things, which is how you get the popular people. And what I find so interesting is that anyone who was weird, they are just natural born stars.
They never quite fit within those labelings and groups and whatever. And that's what I like about weird girls, the awkward girl, the diva, the wild woman, the nerds. Like I love it. But this video is all about the weird girl and how she has the best style amongst other things. Before we discuss the weird girl style, we have to first examine what the word means.
According to Merriam-Webster, weird, the definition of weird is of strange or extraordinary character. The synonyms being odd or fantastic. Now, what I've always found interesting and what I've always observed is that when people can't easily identify or label something or someone, that thing or person becomes a moving target because they're so dynamic and ever-shifting. And what makes the experience as a weird or awkward girl so isolating is that because so many people are used to most people naturally gravitating towards wanting to fit in, because the weird girl has already adapted, possibly since since adolescence, to sort of being isolated, when they enter group settings or places that call for socializing, they can hold their own on their own because they've had to adjust to that very early on. And some people can't seem to process that. So, it's easier, because people are searching and, you know, clinging to label something, it's that person's weird or awkward. There's this one clip from the TV show at Downtown that I think perfectly sums up the experience of a weird girl.
>> you think I follow your lead? Maybe you just can't handle the fact that I'm an individual and you're not.
>> Oh, yeah, right. That's it.
>> Face it, Chaka. You always got to do what the cool people are doing.
>> Oh, yeah, the cool people. There's also, speaking of weird girls, an episode in Lizzie McGuire that kind of connects both of my points about the experience being isolating, but also just the natural gravitation that most people have towards fitting in before even vetting. You got to [music] hand it to the kids at our school. They sure can jump on the bandwagon. It's a good thing Gordo CD wasn't banjo [music] music.
Everybody would be dressed like hillbillies.
I also think that the depiction of the weird girl, its negative connotation, has a lot to do with movies and TV shows, because we kind of have this idea of what a weird girl is or what she looks like, but that's also she just can't be defined because she's multifaceted. And I have to emphasize exposure is so important. What you expose yourself to, what you choose to engage in, has a lot to do with how that translates to your style and how you choose to express yourself through clothing. My favorite example of this would be Lola from Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. If you haven't already watched that movie, I would highly suggest going to watch it. But, in the movie, we know that Megan Fox's character is a popular girl. However, she's always overshadowed by Lola's character, who is so expressive and vibrant. And she is the epitome of what I mean when I say the the weird girl who has natural star quality. And if I'm not mistaken, she arrives to that school new. When people are used to others, especially people who are new to settings, wanting to conform or fit in, they automatically become resentful.
>> know that you're sitting in my favorite seat in history class.
I like to be dead center. Me too, and I didn't think we had anything in common.
I've earned the center seat. And besides, if you want to fit in, you probably shouldn't draw so much attention to yourself. In case you haven't noticed, I like the attention.
Chill.
Also, I wouldn't hang out with Ellen if I ever had a fella. I mean, she doesn't really have your potential, now does she? Look at her. She dresses like a politician's wife with the hair and the shoes. She's so random. And what about those glasses? They are so 10 minutes ago. But, I'm going to stop myself before I get nasty.
I just want to let you know that if you're careful, you could be chilling with us.
Chilling with you is what I've always dreamed of.
>> [snorts] >> Hey. When people don't want to do that, and that's how they treated her, they automatically rejected her. But, she didn't come into the space looking for rejection or acceptance. She already knew who she was. When it comes to her style, she is one of the main characters I often think about when I think of someone who could wear any aesthetic.
>> [music] >> Her character reminds me so much of Raven Baxter from That's So Raven. And the one thing I feel like a lot of stylish weird girls have in common is that they are audacious. I mean, think about this whole trend of being whimsical and also being okay with being cringe. To the weird girl, there's no such thing as themselves being cringe because they're really just being free, which a lot of people in general, regardless of gender, have too many constraints on themselves to really be that. And to some though, they may be perceived as like naive or clumsy or open and free-spirited and wild, but I think a lot of people underestimate how much self-acceptance goes into being able to go into the world and be that free without a care because you've already accepted yourself by yourself.
That's how these weird girls who are dynamic and very stylish are trailblazers. The reason that they can be so many things and oftentimes are stars is because they don't have limits.
Like they can do anything. And this is how you get the Björks and Doechii's, Grace Jones, Solanges, Hayley Williams, Willow Smiths, other world. And what these women in particular have tapped into that most people don't even consider is just moving past shame. That is the one thing that society wants women to feel so easily. It's moving past shame and also a substantial amount of self-trust and using that self-trust to free yourself. And I think once you, you know, free yourself from limitations, from constraints, from judgment, from shame, your potential has no bounds. And going back to what I said about the weird girl being the trailblazer, well, the weird girl who is into fashion being the trailblazer is that they don't wait for the internet to tell them who to be, what to look like, how to dress, what to buy. They go within and don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a bad thing that some people use the internet as a friendly tool just, you know, for guidance, but these women don't have to. The same can be said for their creative abilities. That, my friends, is the end of this video. I really hope you guys liked it and I'll see you guys soon.
Bye.
