[00:00:20]Hey YouTube, what's going on? Welcome to the curly chemistry video. I am so excited for this video. I can like barely contain myself because if you saw the title, you know I'm officially launching and announcing the curly chemistry hair care line. I have a hydrating over hair tea rinse. We love it. But now it's time to add more products to the line. So, I am so excited to announce that we are launching a shampoo, a conditioner, and an overnight scalp serum. You guys know I waste no time. Let's go ahead and get into these products. Okay, number one is going to be the aloe and green tea shampoo. That is the first product.

[00:01:06]Okay, we're going to talk right now.

[00:01:07]Most shampoos on the market, they don't really give you a lot of slip, not much softness. They strip the hair, strip the scalp. It's like But with the shampoo, okay, the slip starts at the shampoo.

[00:01:20]Before your conditioner even touches your hair, your hair is detangled. Your hair feels soft. Your hair feels amazing. With that being said, I am very mindful about the cleansing surfactants because the cleansing surfactants will either make or break your shampoo. So, that being said, I included sodium laurel methylionate. This cleansing surfactant is probably like one of the most expensive surfactants on the market because not only does it effectively cleanse the hair and the scalp, but it actually puts moisture back into the hair. Like it supports the lipid barrier, which is so unique for a shampoo. So, I had to include that conditioning factor because I'm like my my girlfriends, okay, deserve the best.

[00:02:02]That's number one or number two, I should say. The third thing I would say is that this shampoo contains an adaptogenic complex. Stress related hair loss is a thing. It is like the hidden culprit for so many women and men too.

[00:02:17]Okay. So I wanted to create a blend of adaptogens that literally target stress within the follicle. I have ashwagandha green tea and gensing. They synergistically work together to reduce stress in the follicle. Aka, you keep more hair on your head and less on the shower cuz we ain't got time. We got to maintain our hair. Okay. On top of that, it also contains a scalp supporting complex like peppermint, rosemary, and tea tree as well to maintain a healthy scalp environment. The last thing I want to point out about the shampoo that's so unique is that I included phospholipids in this formula. Now, phospholipids are amazing for our hair and our scalp because they support better absorption of activives into our scalp and our hair because what is the point, okay, of us buying shampoos with all these really cute little extracts and activives, but they're not getting to where they need to get to in order to actually work. So with the phospholipus being in my shampoo, the activives like the ashwagandha, the gensing, the green tea, the peppermint, the rosemary and everything to actually penetrate and absorb for better efficacy and we love that. Okay. And the second product is the aloe and green tea detangling conditioner. Now, this conditioner, most conditioners on the market only moisturize and condition one layer of the hair, but this conditioner actually moisturize and conditions multiple layers of your hair. We're talking multi-layer moisture technology that's going to give you instant slip, easier wash days, less breakage, quicker detangling time. In my head, I'm thinking, how can I make y'all's wash days easier? Stressfree wash days. put the product on the hair and it does what need to do and you can go on about your day. I'm reclaiming my time. [laughter] Okay. On top of that, I made sure that this conditioner has three times the concentration of conditioning ingredients than the standard conditioners on the market. We're talking like deep conditioner, hair mask in a bottle without the extra time.

[00:04:25]Okay, so that is what I'm giving you and I'm so excited. One more thing, this conditioner has a custom rinse level.

[00:04:34]Two, there are two rinse levels with this conditioner. You choose the performance of the conditioner based off of your hair needs for that wash day.

[00:04:44]Level one is you doing a light rinse, leaving a little bit of conditioner on your hair. This is for those who want extra slip, extra softness, and low key, an extra like, you know, leave-in conditioner too, which kind of gives it like a multi-use product. A conditioner and a leave-in allinone. And then rinse level two is when you rinse it off completely, giving you a full rinse, full reset, like a perfect canvas for your leave-in conditioner of choice. So, you get to decide. Oh, and one more thing. This conditioner has a mimethicone. Now, before you get all nervous, a multimethylone is a waterbased silicone. It's actually a very smart silicone because it only targets the damaged sites [music] of the cuticle. It will literally only target that part of your hair that needs it the most, giving it extra smoothness and also extra conditioning as well. Okay, last but not least is the overnight scalp serum. Now, this serum is a oilbased serum and it is designed for you to use at the night time. When we're out and about in our day, we are exposed to UV exposure from the sun and that can absolutely disrupt how formulas behave on the scalp. But while you're resting, that formula number one has longer contact time and your scalp receives it better because once again, now you're on the zircadian clock. On top of that, that adaptogenic complex that helps reduce stress related excessive shedding. That same complex that's in the shampoo, I also included it in this serum as well for you. On top of that, we still have that amazing scalp supporting complex, tea tree, rosemary, and peppermint. And I also want to share this too. This serum is a heat activated serum. I always say how massages, you know, massage your scalp girl every night is the thing. Seriously. So, you're going to you want to pair your massaging with this overnight scalp serum because you are activating the essential oils in this formulation along with the adaptogenic complex. And also, I include ceramides in this formulation.

[00:06:49]Now, camides are so unique. They're mainly in the skin care industry, but I think it's about time that we start seeing the scalp less like hair and more like skin because the scalp is skin. So, let's start treating it like skin.

[00:07:03]Camides are so unique because they help to support the scalp barrier. And if you deal with dry scalp, itchy scalp, flaky scalp, more than likely the barrier of your scalp is compromised. But camides in a sense act like the glue to fill in those missing layers. So your scalp can lock in more moisture, which also leads to how your hair growth cycles because a compromised scalp barrier can absolutely disrupt your hair growth cycle. Now, there's also linoleic acid in this serum as well. And linoleic acid is a fatty acid that is frequently deficient in those who are dealing with hair thinning and scalp inflammation. And I also want to point out, of course, there's pumpkin seed oil in here. We've been talking so much about pumpkin seed oil and how it helps to reduce CHT within the scalp.

[00:07:51]Less hair in the shedding phase and more hair in the antigen hair growth phase.

[00:07:55]And then last but not least, sesame seed oil. And sesame seed oil is such an amazing carrier oil. And what it does is that it helps all these activives absorb into the scalp similar to the phosphoipidus that's found in my shampoo.
