The video attempts to frame a demographic anomaly as a significant cultural shift, but the comparison between these two films feels more like a reach for engagement than a serious analysis. It oversimplifies audience behavior by attributing complex viewership trends to a few superficial casting choices.

The game is ready to go and it's time for the show.
It's time for midnight in the morning.
>> Good morning everybody.
Get over here and hit that like button.
That's right. Welcome to the program.
I am Tom Connors. We've got uh Paulie up there making a bunch of noise with his microphone.
>> I thought it was a Damn, I thought I was muted.
>> He does that every time.
>> The robot thing.
>> And I know Sadie's over here bugging me for breakfast. I'm like, I got to go to the store yet, Satie.
>> Uh, yeah.
>> Good morning, Midnighters. Happy Friday.
>> Good morning. And then we've got Chris here from Bleeding Fool. How are you doing?
>> I'm doing great. Glad to be here. Happy to be uh participating this morning.
>> Glad to have you. And we also have Andre who's sort of coming in via satellite from Jupiter.
>> It's actually a bit choppy here.
>> Yeah, I keep the cam off for now. It's still >> Oh man.
>> Not only are you the best looking one of us, so stay off the screen.
>> There we go.
>> Cuz you're making the rest of us look bad. Even Paulie. Uh otherwise, >> he should have stayed in Spain, man.
>> Yeah, that's what I'm thinking with your internet on this part. No, >> this is it has nothing to do with that either cuz he was fine wherever he was located before in Norway.
>> Okay, >> now that he's actually settled where he's at, >> that's when the issue reoccurs. And that's the thing. Anybody who's been a listener of this show since the beginning will remember this is like like on your original Midnight's Edge bingo card.
>> Well, Andre's internet work today was one of the slots, >> right?
>> Maybe it's the computer. Maybe it's a hardware problem.
>> Could be Streamyard, too, >> because it's now also the exact same computer.
>> Cuz your picture is brilliant. It's your [ __ ] sound.
>> Oh, and this is >> Can't hear a goddamn thing you're saying.
>> This is going on 10 years now.
>> This is 10 years we've been doing this [ __ ] >> What I was listening to, >> we're tapping into that nostalgic.
>> Okay, so Andre, why don't you reboot your whole system and try that?
>> Yeah. And while you're doing that, let's say hello to the chat because we've got, holy crap, some lovely people already here. We've got Jill Powers. We got Grimzilla in the house. We've got Debbud swinging that wrench around and he does not watch where he swings it. He just swings it. So, be careful and watch your head. Sometimes six is in the chat as well, lurking. Uh, we got Kill K69 here.
That's a new one.
>> 69.
>> Welcome. That's on the uh phone side.
That's cool.
Yeah. And we got Garvin Ambrose on the uh on the Rumble side. We got Coan Rogue here. We got uh let's see here. So many new faces I've never seen before, like Blacka 25. Uh Russian Sundaws. Welcome.
Uh if you've been here before, I just happen to I missed you. I didn't the first time I happened to see you. We also have Doba Fett and Jeremiah Hembry here. Welcome everybody. I don't want to miss anybody, but uh hello and good morning to everybody. Uh, yes, a couple of us have seen Mortal Kombat 2, so we're going to talk about that a little later. Uh, we also have Drew Typton sending in a buck 99 to say, "Can Mark Hamill sink any lower?" Well, can he can he get shorter?
Because I guess that's the only lower he could sink at this point. Uh, so you guys know what he's referring to here.
>> Yes.
>> Yes. Cuz uh, yeah. Uh, I don't think I've seen anybody with more TDS than Luke Skyhopper. H yeah, I mean it's one thing it's like cool you don't like the guy, but your shit's getting morbid now. For those who don't know what we're talking about, Mark saw it upon himself to tweet out or was it on socials? Who [ __ ] knows where it was at?
>> Yeah.
>> An image of the president in a casket uh with in Port Chase, let's say. So yeah, like look, I don't ever remember this in the history of ever. Can you imagine seriously I just ever since Kennedy, this has been seemed like it was one of those things that was kind of taboo and off the table, right? Like that was always my feeling about it, but I don't want to get too deep into that [ __ ] Um, but Drew Typton says, "Andre, well, he's not here. He'll be right back." Uh, we'll save that one for Drew for him, Drew.
Uh, Ruby Hoove gifted a membership.
Thank you for being a giftter. We appreciate that, Ruby Hoove. And then Dark King 616 says, "Where's Chun Lee in Meler Combat 2?" The Jezebel, I know, right?
>> She's nowhere to be seen.
>> Neither of those thick thighs, >> but she will be in Street Fighter in August or September, October, whatever it comes out. October.
>> Boy, did that trailer get a reaction from the audience.
>> I love Ti's.
>> Yeah. And I love the restaurant, too.
Uh, Stone I haven't been there in 20 years, but Stone Racket said, "Last night I ordered a brand new copy of the Odyssey from 1997 featured Armani Asante and Greta Sashi." Did I say that right, Skashi? I I kind of remember what you're talking about. I think I might even have I have the older one. I have the Ulisses one from 54 with Kirk Douglas that you bring up here. Uh, and the Kenolber one.
Yep. This is all I need. Nolan can kick rocks. Okay. I saw two different uh trailers yesterday for the the Odyssey. The one that was already out.
>> Yeah.
>> Showed before Michael, >> but then when I went back to see Mortal Kombat 2, they showed the brand new one that I had not seen yet.
>> What the [ __ ] Y'all owe me an apology for every time you fought with me over Nolan. This guy's a [ __ ] hack. And I want to I like all the actors that are in this movie, but I'm just looking at this going >> this does not look entertaining. It doesn't look interesting. He shot it on film, but then it looks blue filtered to [ __ ] >> Yeah. Well, hang on, Tom. You like all You know, John Leguisamo's in this.
>> John Leguisamo looks stupid as [ __ ] in this.
>> Elliot Paige. You like all these actors?
>> I Where was he at? I didn't see it.
>> Yeah. Okay. I Well, I think he's playing Troy.
>> Oh, >> no. No, no. Um >> I thought it was a Cyclops. killies.
Thank you.
Um, we got This was based on This is not based on the original Homer um piece.
This is based on >> This is based on Homer Simpsons Odyssey.
>> Yeah, this is based on a feminist writer's translation. She wanted to feminize it and remove all the patriarchy from it. That's why you have this. It just looks me. The whole thing does. Nolan, her name's Emily Wilson, and she wrote in 2017, a feminized version of Homer's Odyssey, and now it's Emily Wilson's Odyssey, and that's the version that um Nolan has decided to adapt. He was on the Co Bear show not too long ago, which is a great place for him to be announcing this. And you know, I it's just like the cast is such a, you know, Patson, Zenda, and Elliot Page, uh even Matt Damon. I mean, the only thing missing is Pedro Pascal. I mean, >> are you sure he's not in it?
>> He might be. How many more overexposed?
>> I was going to say, I could have swore I saw him somewhere in there. I was just like, >> yeah, you know, and and Nolan, he's hit or miss. I mean, there are people out there right now trying to cope or defend uh the movie that they have.
>> He's got three good movies and they're all either ripoffs or >> haven't seen Oppenheimer, but there wasn't a bunch of criticism about Oppenheimer. was fine, but that was more of a biopic.
>> Like that was like one of the least Nolan of all of Nolan's films.
>> And that's the thing about that one is I almost don't That's one that almost feels like it's a completely on its own.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Have you seen Dunkirk?
>> Yes. I like that one. And I like Inception.
>> And I liked the one he did with Robin Williams and uh um Alpuccino back in the day.
>> I like the Prestige is fantastic. It's >> And of course, I haven't seen the Prestige yet. Everybody thinks I'm going to like it. I own it. I'm scared to death to watch it because I might like it. I might hate it.
>> That's what everybody says.
>> Yeah, it's his peak. I like Batman. Some people don't, but I do.
>> Well, of course, his Batman films like that's another thing kind of like with Oppenheimer. I just kind of those are kind of on their own.
>> Okay. But he's got five or six good movies and and and and even Momento, I mean, I think is really >> Momento's okay. Interstellar is the one that pissed me off. I'll be 100% honest with you.
is I mean it's too Kubric or whatever he's trying to what he >> he's thinking he's Kubric but [ __ ] Ridley Scott quit >> well yeah these days for sure and that's yeah he >> especially after the Odyssey that's what it felt like that's exactly what I felt like I was watching a trailer for the next Ridley Scott movie which funny it was followed by the trailer for Ridley Scott's I Am Legend >> no I haven't seen that trailer yet no >> it it's basically I am legend it's based on some other book but it's like the same concept Except the only difference is there's no disease.
>> But it's literally a dude and his dog >> and and Nolan to do Dino Crisis. I'm I've decided video game adaptation. Come on.
>> [ __ ] At this point, might as well. Uh but we'll we'll we'll keep moving along here. Uh we >> uh I don't know if this is the same gifted membership, Ruby Hoover, or if it's a new one, but either way, thank you again.
>> And then we've got ah >> Oh, yes. I think it's the same one.
Lynn, now wait a second. The Jezebel really was asking why a street >> This was back during the original Mortal Kombat.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah.
>> Well, that's a character. I mean, come on.
>> Yeah, it is. Because they're idiots >> and we got we got all these.
>> Um I haven't seen the 97 version. Oh, yeah. I saw this. I dropped it in the chat. Uh Bonnie Tyler >> heart got about two or three hits. Cool chick.
>> All written by Jim Steinman.
>> This is an induced coma for a emergency surgery she had.
>> Honestly, uh the sad part about Bonnie is she can pretty much chalk most of her career up to Meatloaf's voice going to [ __ ] But yeah, >> guess she was like a female Meatloaf except >> she was Well, Steimon's like he's like my Meat's like I can't sing. I can't do this anymore. And it was like he was having some weird issue with his voice.
>> Yeah. And Steman then turned to B and then if you didn't notice he turned to Bonnie Tyler and [ __ ] those few songs he did with her were bigger hits than anything he did ever with >> that's true anybody else.
>> So yeah and I think she was even on his uh album too if I'm not mistaken.
>> Okay.
>> But yeah I did not know she was in a co coma but if it's for uh surgery or whatever it was then hopefully uh she comes out of it pretty well. I'm sure she's getting up there in age. So yeah.
Well, it says she's very she her very guarded condition has worsened. So, that's >> not good.
>> Thoughts and prayers. She's 74 and she's in Portugal, uh, where she lives, actually. So, >> Okay.
>> Yeah.
>> Well, hopefully the best for her, like you said. Prayers and thoughts. Stone Rackets been a member for 53 freaking months. That's a long time. Says, "Greetings all. Hey, Tom. Today I'm receiving the issued Corgi diecast 1966 Batmobile. Isn't that just lovely? It's tiny, right? It's the little ones. It's the little short stout ones. Yeah.
>> Cool.
>> That's awesome. Yeah. Mark C loves those.
>> Uh and yes, Satie, I know you are hungry. I'll feed you in a second something. Just chill.
>> Kenneth Lorac says, "Hey y'all." Yeah, this morning has been nothing but chaos.
Andre shit's not working. Paulie just took the [ __ ] off for 20 minutes. She won't shut the [ __ ] up.
>> She acts like she's a starving child in Africa. Uh, and you you're here, but like you can't talk to yourself, so what am I supposed to do?
>> Kenneth, hey, how you doing, Kenneth?
Hey, >> good to see you.
>> Uh, good to see you again. Jason Webster says, "The 62nd box song Arts Awards."
Do you want to read this for me so I can go give her something quick?
>> 62nd Box Song Awards. This is a film awards. The King's Warden four, No Other Choice Two, The World of Love, Two, Once We Were Us, One, Good News One, and Human.
Jason, I I am unfamiliar with the Boxang Arts Awards, and I'm wondering, and this just is my ignorance. I'm going to plead ignorance because I am an ignoramus.
is are these is is like the King's Warden 4 is that like the fourth in a series of films and No Other Choice is a sequel and The World of Love is a sequel and if so it doesn't make sense to put Once We Were Us one and Good News one and Hint one. Now, I have absolutely no control over what chats come up and show up next, but um I can also see that Jason, you added more awards for TV, for television. And in case Tom misses this, I want to go ahead and read it. I can see this in the behind the scenes section. And it says also in the 62nd box saying awards for television you and everything else too. Okay, now I know what it means. The clue it's right there in front of me. So for film, the King's Warden won four awards. No other Other Choice won two awards and so on.
All right. Now television, you and everything else won two awards. Our written seal won two. The Dream Life of Mr. Kim won Tune. Bonapetit Your Majesty won two awards and Low Life one. Is she been fed, Tom?
>> She is hopefully for now happy.
>> Okay.
>> I literally gave her a hamburger.
>> Oh, man.
>> Like like like an uncooked ham because she I didn't have anything else to give her. I'm like, I got to get to the store to get you dog food. And she's just whining her ass off. So, I'm like fine.
Here's a burger. Like >> like I had nothing else to give her.
>> Good.
>> She's happy. She's happy as a She just had some burger tartar.
>> She's happy.
>> I'm sure she's she's going to enjoy that.
>> What about us?
>> There you go.
>> Now you're back, you son of a >> I said 10 minutes.
>> I know you did. You picked the worst 10 minutes to run.
>> Oh, did I?
>> S decided she was getting dinner now >> regardless of whether I had it or not.
It was just she's like, >> "Was it the Chris show for a minute?"
>> It was for a second.
>> And it was embarrassing. I I bet we all >> No, you did pretty good.
>> No, you did really good.
>> At least you didn't get a copyright strike.
>> Oh, man.
>> Why would you do that? I mean, >> because I know I So, you got that you got that cleared up though, correct?
>> We got a human email uh for those guys in the chat. Uh when >> How the [ __ ] do you get a human?
>> Yeah. I don't I don't know. I don't know, dude. I mean, I'm nice.
No, seriously, Tom. I don't know. What we did was that is when when when we were live with Chris, we were reviewing the movie Blood and Blood Out, and Chris had never seen it. So, uh, we had a link, a YouTube link of the film >> that we were playing behind us, >> and YouTube killed the live stream.
Like it didn't >> How much of a clip did you end up getting to play? Like >> 10 15 20 minutes.
>> Went 15 minutes and we and and I think you got you and um you guys were talking for about >> me and Fletcher were talking >> 10 minutes >> because we were like, "Oh, we're still on Rumble and we're on Chris's multi multiccast." Because you have multiccast until Bleeding Fool.
>> Yeah, I multiccast this. I multiccast all of them just kind of >> Yeah. I was like, "Chris, get back in here."
>> Yep. And in the meantime, I did a live appeal. I I wrote to them. Yeah.
>> And so I was, you know, I gave the details, all that stuff. And then I went on on YouTube on Twitter and did the same thing. And a lot of you guys were fantastic and retwe retweeted.
A couple hours later, I got an email back cuz I was basically saying, "Listen, you know, you can you can keep your content. I don't care, you know, but what the [ __ ] is a strike for?" and they got a human uh response saying we you know we were we were severe, we apologize and the strike is removed.
>> Well, it's fair use. We're reviewing the movie.
>> Yeah.
>> And you're not playing it like, okay, let's watch this scene together. You know, it was just kind of clips playing in the background and you were bouncing around. The question that that you brought up, Paulie, that I thought was fascinating is >> how is Buenov Vista or Disney >> tagging a live stream immediately like within minutes. It probably played five or six minutes, Tom. But not tagging the YouTube >> page. I was thinking about that, you know, and Tom knows this too because Blood and Blood Out for years didn't have >> a streaming partner. Wasn't streaming anywhere. Mhm.
>> I think it was in a vault, right, Tom?
And maybe you could get like an old DVD.
>> Yeah, cuz Disney owns it.
>> Cuz Disney owns it, >> right?
>> But I I totally forgot that Disney put it back on Hulu like less than two years ago.
>> Is this even still there, though? I don't even know if it is.
>> Oh, on Hulu. Yeah, it's still there.
>> Is it? Okay.
>> You know, >> it's worth watching for the audience, by the way.
>> Oh, yeah. It's a great film. Uh, it's it's an amazing film. A little long, but I mean, it's worth it. It was made back when movies if they were three hours long that they were meant to be. They there's a reason for it. They >> did it, right?
>> Yeah. Like, you know what I mean? Like, yeah.
>> Today, I told uh Paulie, I said, "They ought to make it a streaming show. Redo it. Bring Benjamin Bratton and some of the play older, >> not their same characters. Just redo the whole thing as an eight episode thing."
And let >> Oh, I would totally reboot it.
>> Yeah.
>> As a eight eight episodic miniseries. It would be It would be epic. Yeah, because they needed more of Brat's uh military time. They just didn't >> The two things they needed was a better Milikllo actor, >> right?
>> Yeah.
>> And Ben Brat's story that they cut out >> because they really, you know, went with Michlo story going to prison and then um Jesse Borego's story as Cruz the artist.
Fantastic.
>> Yeah.
>> Then we had him on the channel. We had him on the reunion. Thank you, Debb.
We had him on here on uh we we raised thousands of dollars a couple of years ago and we had the we had the we re reunited Taylor Hackford, Jimmy Santi Jimmy Santiel Gobbaka, the the poet that wrote the screenplay.
>> Wow.
>> Oh yeah. And then we had Ben Brat and uh at one point we're talking to Taylor Hackford and Helen Mirren pops her head in and we're talking to >> she's like, "Hello, boys."
>> Wow. She was She's >> She's like, "I just seen all the goings on and I wanted to say hello."
>> Hello.
>> Yeah. Cuz she had like bopped in like two or three times in the past. And like >> Right. Right. She was like >> And we're like, "What the hell is that?
Is somebody there?"
>> And Taylor's just talking like nothing's going on, you know?
>> Right. He's probably used to it. And no.
So, thank you guys. Uh the channel the the strike was lifted.
>> Mhm.
>> Cuz when you get a strike, guys, you can't do anything. You can't earn. I mean, Tom knows this. You can't go live.
can't stream, can't do [ __ ] Yeah.
>> You can't post videos, you can't do [ __ ] That means you're not earning.
And you know, my little channel makes so much money per day. That's vital.
>> Yeah.
>> So, anyways, thank you guys.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Tom, what is what's that about, Tom?
>> I don't know. But on Hulu, it actually is Connory Bronson. That's the beauty of Brazen. Uh, it is an HD. Uh, but >> it's on HD. Yeah. HD. I mean, it's a beautiful looking film. [ __ ] man. The cinematography is gorgeous, >> especially at the open with all the art.
You see the street art and stuff, >> music, >> it's great, you know, it's got a pretty good >> Yeah. Go on.
>> Did we ask Taylor if if made today he would be able to to direct it because of all the, you know, the woke era?
>> I mean, I I still feel he was the right man to do it, you know.
Well, there was there was plenty of prison rape in it, so I don't know.
>> Oh my god.
>> Great.
>> What is your problem, dude?
>> Maybe that's why we got the strike.
>> The news is so slow in Hollywood that they're talking about real estate on Variety on the front page. That's how [ __ ] boring it is, guys.
>> But the other big question is everybody's asking is about what's going to win the weekend. So, >> it's a battle for the uh box office.
Then there's the the Scream Seven uh new, you know, the whole thing with Melissa and her coming out against Scream Seven. We could talk about >> she can suck a dick.
>> And uh well, >> I don't care about her what she wants or likes. I'm not I'm not talking about what she said. What she said now pissed me off more than what she said before. I could give a [ __ ] what her politics are.
>> Her claiming that the new film only made money because of nostalgia. Please, [ __ ] But why do you think anybody came to see Scream Five? Because of you.
No, they came to see it because [ __ ] Nev Campbell was in it and Dewey was in it and Courtney Cox was in it. They didn't give a [ __ ] about any of the new kids.
>> She's so [ __ ] delusional.
>> That I disagree with you on.
>> I totally agree. Scream six, the only pe reason people showed up was Jenna Ortega.
>> By Scream Five showed up, Jenna Ortega wasn't Jenna Ortega yet.
>> Five and six was was a new young audience, bro.
>> Yes. But five >> had all the original cast in it. That's why people went to see it at that point.
>> What I didn't like that that Melissa did was go after her own tribe. You don't go after other actors.
>> Well, that's just it. It's like, why are you dumping on fans?
>> Like, yeah, I you know, like here I am been defending her. It's like I get, you know, you you were, you know, um you know, you were fired unjustly in my opinion. Uh but dude, you know, then you're saying, "Oh, I I feel that those numbers were patted." I'm like, "Come on, man. It was like it's the most successful Scream."
>> Look, yes, I know some people like Five and six, but honestly, Doa Fett, I love the fact that you can go into Scream Seven not having seen five and six.
Really, >> it doesn't bad film, bro.
>> They're all five and six are horrible.
Seven was at least watchable. I don't give a [ __ ] No, I don't give a [ __ ] what anybody says, >> dude. We couldn't finish. But >> I don't know what your problem with it is then because I thought it was fun, >> dude. When you Dude, when you first saw and you came on here, you're like, uh, it's not that good, but it's fun. Come on.
>> No, I I still liked it better than five and six. I [ __ ] hate five and six.
>> I know. I said that flat out. Yeah, >> they're all trash, right?
>> It's trashy. Five. Nah, come on. After after three, I don't know. One and two.
>> I love Scream four.
>> One and two were good.
>> Three and four. Scream three and four are fine with me and four actually did everything that Scream five tried to do only better.
>> But but my So going back to the story because Melissa got a huge article in Variety huge interview.
>> I just have a lot of problems with any actors uh going after other actors publicly and that's a no no. Um >> well is she working?
>> She is now working cuz the next day they announced that she's in a new horror film. Well, if she's working, then she needs to shut the [ __ ] up.
>> And some of the things that she that you know, she even threw some shade at Jenna.
You know, it was really like, no, no one was with me. They're with me privately.
>> Can't be silent.
>> She threw shade at Jenna when Jenna publicly walked away from the [ __ ] franchise the way she did. That's the only reason anybody is pissed off about it. Do you think anybody really gave that much of a [ __ ] about Melissa?
>> No. cuz you could have done one without her and nobody would have said boo.
>> Yeah, you could have done you could have gone on just with Jenna. Make her the star of it. She you know she's the she's more of a global name than Melissa. But you know you're kidding yourself when you're talking about nostalgia bait and other actors crossing the picket line.
It's like wait a minute you stayed to do six when Nev didn't do six. So if you really feel this way, then you shouldn't have done six, right? If you're in solidarity with Nev Campbell.
>> Yeah, there's that, too.
>> There's a lot of hip-hop. Oh, there was so much a lot of it. Yeah.
>> You know, I I I was just >> I just have an issue with her character in general. Like I mean, I'm not talking about her personal character. I'm talking about her character in the movies.
>> No, I know you don't like the movies, >> so I was happy to see her go.
>> Well, she just makes no logical sense as a character. Yeah, but that's not her fault, right?
>> It ain't her fault, but that doesn't m That was the the fault of the filmmakers. This is why I said Scream Seven was logically where the next movie should have went. That's why I enjoy to me the movies are Scream 1, 2, 3, 4, and then seven. I don't need to watch five and six ever again.
>> I'm not going to go ping pong with you on this. I'm disappointed in Melissa as a person. I'm disappointed some of the things that she said in this.
>> Well, it's stupid to bring it up now, this long after the fact. And and I said, "As long as she's working, the smartest thing she can do is shut the [ __ ] up."
>> But she claims that she and she's right.
She didn't work for over a year. She had no offers. And I totally blame Spy Glass Entertainment on that, just like I blame Disney for for Gina Carano. Um, but you don't see Gina talking trash about Pedro Pascal. And I'm sure I'm sure she's got reason to.
>> Yeah. She kind of say basically said that if I ain't got nothing nice to say I'm not going to say anything at all kind of thing basically.
>> So I you know and and I'm not so I'm not not a fan of that and I'm not a fan of her saying well I'm just going to do I'm opening up my own production company. I I love that but then she's saying we're just going to do we're just going to work with people who are pro Palestine.
What?
>> Yeah.
>> Come on Melissa. I mean I I hear that kind of thing you keep secret. You know what I mean? Like if you're going to be that way, why why talk about that?
Because you were virtue signaling.
That's why.
>> Well, I understand you got burned by she got burned by Hollywood. She should have sued Spy Glass.
>> Well, both sides were pretty stupid on this. First of all, Melissa should have known who signs her [ __ ] checks.
>> Yeah, >> right. Let's be [ __ ] real. Cuz then on the other side of it, then all they did was prove her half ass right >> because you just >> Yeah, but they called >> took offense to it.
>> Yeah, but on a public statement they called her anti-semitic. That's what I'm saying. and they went after her. That's what I'm saying. So, both parties >> were completely bad in this whole >> though, right?
>> Yeah. Compared to Yeah. Compared to >> Go after your co-stars. What the [ __ ] did they have to do with you doing any of your posts?
>> And that's why I agree with you on the Gina Corano thing and that's where she had a little more class by not >> Yeah.
>> I'm sure there's plenty of people that she interacted with behind the scenes that she had a lot of problems with, but you don't see hear dishing about it. I'm sure she can't stand Pablo Hidalgo if she ever met him face to face, >> you know, [ __ ] like that. So, >> yeah. So, I was just I'm disappointed uh in in Melissa and I'd been championing her because I uh you know, you a class act. Um but I was very disappointed in the things she says in this interview.
>> Yeah. No, I >> it's just it is sad to see people say stupid chill because she didn't have to.
There's She can talk about Spy Glass and Paramount all day long in Hollywood in general, >> but why go after your acting?
>> Never go after your co-stars. I mean, unless they like did something illegal to you, >> right?
>> Right. But even then, you're you're going to your lawyers, your lawyering up.
>> It just sounds like sour grapes because Melissa didn't wasn't in the film because Nev was.
>> That's what it looks like. And it doesn't help that her character was unlikable. So, like you've got an unlikable character and then you're spouting off against your fellow cast.
It's just it's a bad look.
>> It's >> Yeah.
>> I mean, Johnny Legs has done that. Uh well, every day.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh anyway, >> yeah, these were some of the award winners that Jason mentioned to us earlier. It looks like >> it's funny. I saw this playing at the movies the other day and I'm like, why is Everything Everywhere All at Once back in the theaters again and then I realized, oh, it's not.
>> Oh, it was a different movie.
>> You and Everything Else and Our Unwritten Soul.
>> Yeah, as Jason Webster points out here, I highly recommend You and Everything Else and Our Unwritten Soul. Uh, so there you go.
>> And then there's a new movie called Mad Bills to Pay that's in very limited engagement here.
>> That's my life.
>> And doesn't it have a uh a a Spanish title also? It does. It's mainly in English, but it's uh it's uh we reviewed it. We went to the screening the other day and it's it's it's really good, apparently.
>> Oh, okay.
>> So, it's called Mad Bills to Pay.
>> Mad Bills.
>> Mad Bills. I got Mad Bills to pay. Yo, >> get over here. Well, let's talk said they never like Scream one, so all that talk was over their head.
>> Well, and Andre, if he was here, he didn't like the first one either. So, >> okay.
>> He he Well, he hates mainly the scream effect, and I can't argue with him. It's totally it totally happened and that's what pissed me off too.
>> That's right.
>> Um but yeah, so box office Mortal Kombat brought down the house yesterday with 5.2 million in previews. So yeah, it's gearing up for a hell of a weekend. You know, that's on track with uh back in 2021, the first one did about the same, but it was also being simultaneously released on streaming as I recall or on video on demand, right?
>> Yeah. I mean, there's some hype for this movie, but I'm curious to see if >> some people are holding off to see if the word of mouth >> The word of mouth is great.
>> Yeah. So, that's the thing is uh >> I mean, I decent amount of people in my first showing yesterday. I was kind of kind of surprised it wasn't much better than Michael's screening. But that being said, the audience loved it. There was people buying the popcorn buckets.
>> I couldn't believe the price of the [ __ ] cups.
>> 32 bucks just for a [ __ ] cup.
>> Come on.
>> I [ __ ] you not. It's the same price as the arcade popcorn. But no, I didn't have any money to buy anything.
>> I literally had just enough money to go see Michael and I had already bought my ticket for Mortal Kombat like 3 4 weeks ago or whatever it was. Thank you. Six.
>> Yeah. Six again.
>> Popcorn. Did you get the Michael?
>> I did not have any. They did not have anything for Michael. I did not get any [ __ ] popcorn. I did not get any cuz I asked cuz they had two different popcorn buckets for Mortal Kombat actually cuz they didn't get any [ __ ] for Michael.
But they had the one, the big helmet thing with the silver face, which is cool. Yeah.
>> But it's like 42 bucks.
>> Jeez.
>> And then they had the little arcade machine, which is cool, but it's 32 bucks.
>> Jeez. And then they have the cup and it's 32 bucks. So I'm sitting here going, "Jesus Christ." So it's either e me popcorn without having anything in the cup or just get a regular small itty bitty drink or something or what? I don't know. I couldn't afford either way. So I was like that.
>> I bring my own drink.
>> I bring my own.
>> Really? I slip mine.
>> I bring in my own snacks, my own gummies, let's say. But who?
>> 32 bucks. Um, you know, is putting out a Sega Genesis for 39 bucks. It's coming out June 1st.
>> That's what I'm saying. I have the arcade in my house OF MORTAL KOMBAT.
>> WHY WOULD I PAY THAT MUCH for a little thing? And it's not even really an arcade. It's just a little >> Yeah, >> because if you could afford it, you would >> shut the [ __ ] up. Just cuz I didn't have the money, [ __ ] >> I think you're the honest >> [ __ ] honest God truth. Yes.
And gas is so goddamn expensive right now.
>> But no, so I saw it in IMAX and oh my god, they got the cool IMAX sequences when it does open up and stuff. So, it's really neat.
>> Um, I I I think this movie is going to do a little bit better than they're predicting here. They're saying in that 30 $40 million range. I >> I don't know. It might I I think it's going to clear more like 60, but >> Oh, you think 60? Okay. I think 50 for sure.
>> 50 for sure. And I think it's going to outdo Devil Wears Prada. What do you think?
>> Oh, yeah. I think it's going to take the weekend, but >> I think you make a good point that there might be a bit of a Prada combat or a Mortal Prada here. However you want to put it.
>> Oh, stop. Don't do that.
>> Well, the spoiler is Michael. You remember me guys telling you that we were going to go see Michael for Mother's Day this Sunday.
>> Yes.
>> And it was only playing at one theater.
It had been playing at multiple theaters, but when I was on Fandango, it wasn't showing on any other theaters.
Well, that changed on Wednesday and now it's at eight other theaters in theaters in my region. So, they all said, "You know what? We need another week of this." And so we booked reserve seating at the U AMC18. So >> Michael Chver has not let up.
>> No, man. This thing's got legs.
>> And I have an idea when it might be coming to video.
>> July, >> second week.
>> You did not.
>> Wow.
>> And uh so that means it puts the streaming date at the end of middle of June.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> So, as of right now, unless that I think Lionsgate is playing the long game on this one a little bit more than most studios have, cuz I think they're about right about June, I'm sure they'll have tapped out everything. And this thing is getting a second week, another week or month in China. I can't remember which.
It's >> Oh, okay. Nice.
>> Because they only allow certain amount of movies to be played there, whatever.
And it's opening in Japan and Korea, I think, this weekend, which are huge.
Michael Markets, >> huge. Um, so we'll see how the the sky is the limit. This Japan, right?
>> Korea and Japan. That's >> huge. That Japan's on until June.
>> Yeah, but then China actually got an extra extended run for it, which is a rarity. And so we'll see. This one might hit the billion dollars like they because there's a lot of people are saying it might not have the ability to do it >> in the world we live in now. That's the problem.
>> And and they're not wrong.
>> How much has it made so far today? Here, let me check. today.
>> I mean, as as of today, >> as of today, I think it's over half a billion.
>> Good good question.
>> But the thing was is Bohemian Raps City came out in a time where there was still distance between >> Oh, that's much, >> you know, a release and and and and video. That was the thing.
>> 441 million worldwide. I >> was going to say it'll hit half a billion by this weekend.
>> It'll pass 500 million. and it's making on an average of like 8 to 10 million a day it seems like or close to it. So it's like wow that's not that's playing like a blockbuster film is which is crazy.
>> But going back to Mortal Kombat 2 and I'm seeing a diverse uh a diversity of critics loving it like very surprised like they that they like they were very surprised how much they liked it.
>> Well, I'm surprised by the diversity in the audience I went to see it with. Ooh, >> there was it was actually about 70 or 80% women.
>> I couldn't believe it cuz like there was only like two other guys besides me there and of course they were with other women and then the other ones were just women either together or by themselves.
I was just like >> wow. So that's three me, three other guys and like there was about a dozen people all together and the rest were all women.
>> So the demographic on this I'm curious what it's going to break down on it.
Yeah, that does that is a surprise because it's a sequel, right? It's not if it were like maybe they were getting fooled by the name if it just was called Mortal Kombat.
>> I think a fantasy element pulls women in.
>> It might. Yeah. Good.
>> And there's a lot more women gamers now than there was 10 years ago or 20 years ago. See, and we got to acknowledge that.
>> You don't think Carl Urban is part of the draw?
>> Carl Urban might be part of that, too.
That's another draw there.
>> Well, okay. You know, you bring up a point because in Rosa's um Thanks, babe.
In Rosa's I got to put a light on.
>> She Rosa was a huge fan of the video game. She played it as a kid.
>> And two things that she mentioned as far as beyond just loving it was Johnny Cage, >> right? And Katana, >> hands down.
>> Yeah. Cuz >> cuz >> there's Katana.
>> Yeah. Katana.
Yeah. So, there's probably a mixture of uh you know, >> there's probably a lot of people like that. A lot of women like that.
>> Yeah. I don't know if you caught what I had said, Andre, as you were coming back in here. Welcome back.
>> Oh, I came just now. I haven't told anything. I've been >> Okay. So, what I noticed in my theater when I saw the screening was it was a roughly 70% women audience.
It was me and two other guys and then the rest of the audience was made up of women.
>> So there was four people in the theater.
>> No, there was more like a dozen.
>> Andre, >> no, I'm serious. Like I couldn't I It was funny. There was almost just as many seeing Michael. I was kind of disappointed. I'm like, "Oh, maybe Mortal Kombat's not going to do that well." But yeah, there >> well hopefully that translates to word of mouth because because I I know this movie is going to have haters. People are going to claim it's a bait and switch. I personally disagree with that.
Uh and to me it's the coolest movie I've seen this year.
Oh, this movie Mortal Kombat more than any Mortal Kombat has ever Mortal Kombat in its life.
>> I told you. See, that's what I that's what I said. That's exactly what I And he is 100% right. Like this movie is just like you want a Mortal Kombat, here you go, [ __ ] Boom. Just like you're you just jumped. This could have been the first movie. You're 100% right.
They didn't need any of the [ __ ] really from the first movie to exposition into this. The way the movie even starts, you almost don't have to have ever seen. As long as you just kind of somewhat roughly kind of, you know, have an idea of what Mortal Kombat is, you'll be fine cuz everything is reexplained to you.
The the the whatever happens to the characters from the first movie, they're kind of pushed to the side anyway. Not to be too spoilery, but we'll get more spoilery as we get a little later here probably. But yeah, I mean the cat's kind of out of the bag on one of the characters already, but I mean I don't want to ruin it for anybody in the chat who has not and does not want it spoiled. Um, but yeah, so I mean overall though, if you're a fan of the games, I got to imagine you're going to enjoy this movie. Now, most people are telling me cuz I'm not as familiar with the games, although I did Andre make myself a little more familiar with the games.
So I do have a little bit more of a background on it now >> and my understanding of it. It's, isn't it?
>> Not really. It's just uh No, I just cuz honestly I was proven half right and half not right because remember how I said each one of the games seems to have its own uh own um what do you call it?
Uh uh lore and then they rechange things and it starts over. Yeah. Cuz they rebooted it like two or like twice.
>> Twice. Twice. Yeah.
>> So like that's the problem. That's why I call [ __ ] on people who have tried to say before, OH BUT IT HAS THIS GREAT LORE. It's like no the [ __ ] was rebooted twice. Okay. And they've incorporated stuff from other things and whatnot. And so this is more or less Mortal Kombat 9 the video game.
>> Yeah.
>> The the re-reboot if that helps for anybody who's the video game peoples out there. But Andre, you saw it too, of course, but you and I were the only ones who did. So >> yeah. Yeah. Because we know that. So basically you and I, we have seen it. We loved it. We know that Pauliey's reviewer over that Latinos loved it. And Chris's reviewer over at Bleeding Fool also loved it.
>> Yep.
>> So, so that's um >> and uh Eric, isn't it?
>> Yeah.
>> And the film critic Eric Weber, who's very, you know, kind of a divisive figure. He loved it, >> you know. So, that's why I meant like it's a diversity of all these different >> Will Grace Randolph love it? That's what we That's what I'm >> Oh, God.
But no, seriously, you know, like these different >> It's hard to hate this movie.
>> That's what I mean. And I honestly I think that um like again, I stand by that there is no bait and switch with Kitana. Kitana is really freaking important in the uh in the games and in the lore. She is the one that has the bigger reason to hate Khan than Liu Kang. That's just a fact. That's the lore. this is an adaptation of the lore and it's true to that. Whereas those that feel, no, Liu Kong must be having all the honor and be the chosen yada yada yada, dude. That's the original, >> you already had that in the '90s. Oh, hell yeah. Will he be back? So will Kung Lao.
>> Well, here's my thing is like, okay, so this is where we're going to get into some minor spoilers before we get into more deeper spoilers. This is Andre where I will push back just slightly.
And it's not even more of a push. It's more of just a tap. Yeah, >> there is elements of this and this is where I could see where people would get that knee-jerk reaction to, oh, this is a woke chick power type movie.
>> The problem with the movie, The problem with the movie is the way that it is edited.
And you'll know what I'm talking about when I get into this because there's a specific scene where you have Johnny and Katana both in the middle of a fight and they both intercut the two fights shot for shot, beat for beat.
>> And that's when the movie kind of took me off. I'm like, you could have just had both fights separately. This is this is too obvious that you're trying to make these two characters your main focal points here, >> right? Like that's the main thing people need to understand is that this movie shifts the the the >> the focus of the main characters.
>> Suffer. I mean, do are the male?
>> No, it's just an editorial thing that kind of makes it blatant enough to where I can understand people having the the gripe about it, >> right? But it's not a true girl boss.
>> No, here's what I Here's my my counter to that. Like not again, not a push back, more of a tap. And that is if this exact same movie, literally the movie that we have right now, if it had come out shot forshot in 2015, before Ghostbusters, before Girl Bosses, before any of this, no one would have batted an eye at anything in this movie.
Everyone would just have accepted it and loved it. That's what I think. I think that people right now, and I don't blame, this is what I said in my review as well. I don't blame anyone for having that reaction, for seeing a bait and switch, but I think it's because of hyper sensitivity. And it's not your fault that that many have that hyper sensitivity. That is Hollywood's fault because to paraphrase Thor, Love, and Thunder, they flicked too hard.
They went way too far in what they were doing. And here's the thing, people are burnt. They're gunshy.
uh they're any any kind of word you feel like putting in for PTSD uh and uh and because of that are now so hyper sensitive that things that would wouldn't even have been an issue 101 15 years ago now they're suddenly an issue now we have some people who are like there's a black person on the screen woke there's a woman on screen woke you see >> never say Mexican never say Mexican cuz We do not exist anyway.
>> No, because you are under reprepresented. It's black people who are over represented. You know this.
>> But so here's the here's the thing. Like audience guys, midnighters, right? Everything that Andre said and reeks of wokeism. Okay. That's why you need to you need to if if you're kind of curious, you need to check out Andre's review. You need to check out Tom's because these are the guys.
>> Well, I think that's what's happening.
And I think that's that was kind of yeah getting back to my original point too Paulie is that yeah I think this there's a little bit of >> I think this should have actually had like an eight million dollar preview but >> there are some people who are just kind of waiting to see how the water is because there was some people who [ __ ] hated that first one. Now there's been some revisionist history and some people have come back around to it and I think this movie is going to help. This movie does help a lot. Like I mean I had a lot of fun with the first film. This movie is that plus a million.
Like this movie got the notes. It It does everything a sequel's supposed to do. It is almost reminiscent of the game, right? Because, you know, we talk about Mortal Kombat, but we all remember more so what happened when Mortal Mortal Kombat 2 is really the the the height of the hype, right? Like that was the big deal when it happened cuz that was the the game that had all the characters, the new characters, and all that kind of stuff. And it was just kind of like the peak of the hype of that. And I think it came out right around the same time as the movie did, if not three did roughly.
But three I remember being a big issue and I was reminded of that when I was doing my research too until Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 came out. But anyhow, I mean I think you guys are right. I think that there's an element of this that Andre is correct. If this movie had come out at the wrong few years before, I don't think anybody would have said [ __ ] because even I as somebody who doesn't know as much about the lawyer lore. I know that Katana is a big part of the lore, right? I know she's like the queen of Outworld or whatever it was back in the day. Like I knew that, right? Like that much I knew. So to me, that part didn't bother me. But I can understand why certain people looking at this movie from the outside looking in going, "Yeah, no, this is basically a bait and switch just like the last movie. [ __ ] that." And and I can totally understand people's reaction to that because Cole is kind of a one of those characters where you're just like, who is this guy and why is he here? Right.
Like >> I I'm curious, Tom, what did you think about the ultimate fate of Cole?
>> Oh, [ __ ] That is where the audience, I think, is going to enjoy it. And there was there was two reactions in our audience.
There was the cheering and laughing, and then there was the the not quite booze, but just like more like like they'd actually felt bad for him.
>> Yeah, >> he looks like [ __ ] though. I feel sorry for the guy. What What happened to him?
>> I feel I feel really sorry for the actor as well because the actor is really good. uh it would only have taken like a script change for him to be Scorpion proper and have that role, but instead they decided to create a brand brand new point of view character and just um just didn't work out. It doesn't always do.
Yeah, I mean it it are we going to get into spoilers here?
>> I up to the rest of the guys. Yeah, I was gonna say before we get too deep into this because uh Chris I know has to leave us pretty soon and he did send me a uh story here in the background because to get us back to our initial point we were kind of bringing up before we get into fullon Mortal Kombat talk.
>> Uh who's going to win the weekend and will Mortal Prada or Prada Combat be a thing?
>> Did we get a super chat from Drew Trippton because he says don't forget it.
>> Uh we got one for you. Yes, we'll get that in between.
>> Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Fine. We can I don't have saved. Yes.
>> Okay, perfect.
>> I should have it saved.
>> I wouldn't do spoilers. Seems like a lot of people in the chat don't want the spoilers.
>> Yeah, we're not going to do any spoilers.
>> No, sorry. If I were to nitpick though, and this would be the same nitpick that I had with um with with uh with the first movie, is that I think that um just like the He-Man 2002 reboot, uh as the Mortal Kombat mythology and everything has progressed, I think that there has been some level of overdesign.
In particularly, the ninjas are wildly overdesigned.
I actually prefer the look of Scorpion and Subzero in the original 1995 movies to what we have right here >> where they're more simple like the original costumes were. But they Here's the thing iconic.
>> I have a halfway I I feel like you can find a happy medium, right? I feel like >> and almost the original movie kind of did it just if it needed to just go one step further than the original film, right? like it felt like those were great costumes, but they did feel like they were that simplif because they were simplified for the video game, right?
That's why they didn't have much detail because that way they would look best in in the sprites. And as you got on into the game, they even had more detail added to the to the to the costumes. But I agree with you, especially Scorpion and Subzero, there's so much junk going on in their costumes that they don't even really look that much like the original characters anymore. So, I I get where you're coming from. Yeah.
But anyhow, how does how does everybody think this is going to team up with Prada? Because I know Chris, you brought this to our attention if you're still there.
>> I'm here. Yeah. What does Chris think?
>> Well, yeah. Right. Well, our reviewer thinks it's solid brutal fun. I think this is going to get some repeat viewings. Uh, I think Mother's Day might help the Prada movie.
>> You know, as I said earlier, we're going to see Michael for Mother's Day. So, I think Michael's one of those spoilers out there. Um, I don't know. I I think >> here's where I think you're right on that point real quick. Mortal Kombat has the >> has the advantage here.
>> It has a lot of counterprogramming, but it so it is basically the counterprogramming pro the counterprogramming to all the other stuff.
>> Yeah.
>> That's out there because there's an abundance now for women. And you can even count Michael in that because I think it did skew more for for women.
>> Seen Michael already, right?
>> Yes. But if my demographics were correct in my theater, >> Yeah.
>> women are going to come out for Mortal Kombat 2 and maybe even even if it is just for Carl Urban.
>> Well, and one of the things about Carl Urban is even the reviewers because it's still certified fresh over at Rotten Tomatoes. It's barely. It's like at 68 or something. Um Carl Urban is the one of the main attractions of this movie like when he's on screen.
>> Yeah. Totally.
>> Yeah. And uh and you know he's got a lot of I think his fan base has only grown since Dread. Don't you guys?
>> Oh hell yeah.
>> Oh hell yeah. He he's basically playing a charming JeanClaude Vanam in this movie is what he is.
>> Okay. Right. And you know and it doesn't hurt >> the boys has been massive for him for his popularity >> and I think that's where the women are coming in. Exactly. I think women are watching the boys.
>> Yep.
>> And that's where they're getting into this guy. And I think that's where the And this is where I I'm wondering how Prada is going to hold up this weekend cuz there's also the sheep detectives.
>> Yeah.
>> Don't count this thing out. I know I was having a friendly little wager with the pro about it.
>> Yeah.
>> But this is the type of movie that I would take my mother to.
>> Okay.
>> Of all the things that are out this weekend, that's the one that I would pick for my mom.
>> I'm glad you mentioned Sheep Detectives.
We gave it a nine out of 10.
>> Wow.
>> And that is from Sin's Corner.
>> Wow.
>> She said this like it's everything you expect, but then it's profoundly profoundly deep.
>> Wow.
>> Yeah. So, I was like, whoa.
>> All right. Interesting. Oh, and there's also that Sleeper Jim Cameron movie coming out this weekend.
>> No, nobody.
>> He's that he's the guy that put is putting together the Billy Ellish uh concert.
>> So, you can finally get to see your tits in 3D. I don't know. But it's >> It's funny you brought that up because how much time do you have left? Because there was another story.
>> Yeah, I got 20. Yeah, >> because there was another story that we could actually transition to here quick.
>> Before Before you do that though, Tom, um >> uh a viewer, good friend of mine, uh did some uh did some uh art to this uh box office weekend earlier.
>> Okay. Yeah, there's a couple of more pieces here from the imaginative hobbyist.
>> Yeah. which is well worth checking out.
>> These aren't from Scribe, are they?
>> No, no, no, no. They're not from Scribe.
>> Uh Jill, I think in the chat was saying it should be called uh The Devil Wears Prada Combat Boots, but I'm thinking Michael >> Combat works for me.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah, me too.
>> But I think uh I think it's going to be surprising. I think for sure Mortal Kombat hits 50. I know that the um the trades are trying to play it down a little bit to closer to 35 million. I think it'll hit 50.
>> Well, that makes me wonder if it isn't having some issues like I was saying.
>> Yeah, >> cuz I was kind of surprised there wasn't more people in the theater yesterday or today. Yeah, yesterday. Yesterday.
Jesus.
>> Well, and like a year ago, uh it's interesting that it only did as well in previews as the previous one did. And that's when it was on PBOD also.
>> That's the thing that's kind of >> Yeah.
>> So, we'll see. I wonder if it is word of mouth people are waiting on to see.
>> But, uh, yeah, as I was saying, transition because this was a story that came across and I I apologize for all the ads on this one. I can't get rid of the ads.
>> Yeah.
>> But speaking of James Cameron in 3D, he still claims it's the superior format, and this is coming from a guy, and I love 3D, but dude, let it die. People don't want it. They don't. I'll admit it. They do not want it. And now he wants to [ __ ] ruin Aliens with it.
>> Yeah.
>> Does that mean you're actually going to go back and actually scan the [ __ ] film this time in 4K, unlike when you did for the 4K remastering quotations?
>> As long as they don't do it in AI.
>> And a funny thing would be that if he did that, it would be for a dead format.
>> Yeah. Because can get a 3D TV right now or does that assume that you have an older one from when that was popular 10 years ago? Because I know in Norway you haven't been able you can't even get a three a new TV that supports uh 3D playback.
>> Here's the issue 3D. There is some things that are kind of I guess evidently like the Oculus Rift and a few other things play 3D like I know the the Sony uh VR does >> but it's harder than hell to get a hold of anything anymore that's 3D and also I guess some projectors do it but Andre is 100% right to get any other hardware or anything that plays 3D anymore is damn near impossible unless you got buco bucks and and I get getting a hold of any new stuff is almost impossible. cuz I guess there's a website that you can get a hold of but I think it's out of China or Japan or somewhere like that and they do have some films that didn't even get released here in 3D which bums me out but like yeah like Star Trek 2009 for some reason they released two and three in 3D here but not the first one but I guess there is a 3D version of the first one >> but they just can't get it here in the US >> post converted you can't get >> almost all of them are but still it doesn't matter Robocop is the same thing >> I actually have it >> send it to me then damn because I don't have that.
>> Yeah. Same thing with >> I don't no longer have the infrastructure to play it.
>> Yeah. I do though in my I have my my old plasma and I do have stashed away an old smaller 3D TV that's passive. So that one is going to stay longer. But my when my plasma one goes out or one of the glasses goes out, it's like this is it.
We're done. And then until I get the money to actually put together a projector or some kind of Oculus Rift situation or something like that cuz Yeah. Cuz Yeah, you're 100% right.
Because this 3D the of all the things you know we're just talking about Prada and Mortal Kombat duking it out. Nobody is talking about this Billy Isish concert.
>> No. At all.
At all. Uh which is surprising because you'd think Jim would be talking about it a lot. But here he is talking about converting aliens to 3D.
>> I actually wouldn't sleep on the Billy Eyish.
>> I know it might do some money.
>> Yeah. They had a curious huge opening here for their red carpet.
>> Oh, >> she's got a huge fan base, man.
>> She does, but a lot of the IMAXes, I think, are going to be carrying Mortal Kombat instead. So, where is this going to be showing for her that it's gonna >> and James it's gonna >> That's my big question.
>> Do you know how many screens these movies are getting?
>> That's the question, too. Yeah. I don't know. the um the and then it there may be something to you know we just saw Michael hey let's now let's go see Billy Ellish and people might go we just saw a concert movie you know let's go see something else it could happen >> oh go ahead sorry >> Billy Ellish is in 2300 theaters >> that's not bad >> that's where it premiered so it could open up >> uh and it's not showing here or or at the drive-in and it wasn't not showing in my IMAX. Mortal Kombat is >> okay.
>> So, in my market, it is not readily, unless you just want to go see it. I think in a standard 3D theater, I might have to look >> 2 million in uh previews.
>> That's not bad. That is not bad. So, like Paulie said, don't sleep on, but it's not going to do the Taylor Swift numbers.
>> No, >> because I was just going to say because I think she put her foot in her mouth a few times in the last couple years in comparison to some others. So, um, >> yeah, she's, uh, well, she's a bit more of an odd duck, too, than >> Yeah.
>> Um, >> I mean, I don't hate her. I I She's fun.
>> Billy is% what the Mortal Kombat preview did. So, per theater, just under a,000 and Mortal Kombat 2 did 1,600 per theater.
So, that's a strong preview. We'll see if it's got legs. I don't know.
>> Well, here's the problem. If those Billy Isish shows are selling out and the Combat ones aren't, makes me wonder what will happen. Cuz the whole thing is with the Billy Isish thing is it's shot for 3D. So my guess is you'd want to go see it in 3D IMAX.
>> Yeah.
>> You know what we have here?
>> A threebody problem.
That's what you have in astronomy where you basically have like three heavenly bodies which form an unstable system where the two eventually are going to evict one.
>> Yeah.
>> So which one is going to get evicted this weekend? It's the question. It's definitely not going to be Mortal Kombat. Sorry. It's definitely not going to be The Devil Wears Prada. That the ladies will make make sure of that. But are they going to help out Billy Isish or Carl Urban?
That remains to be seen.
>> I think Paulie was more right that uh Billy Jean has a better weekend than Billy Isish.
>> It would be cool. I wouldn't mind that.
>> I think I I I think >> I thought it was going to be the only one in the theater yesterday was all I was going to say. Sorry, Chris. Go ahead.
>> Well, I think Prada is just going to be I don't I don't think it has legs. I mean, honestly, but that's just me, right? I didn't see the first one. I have no interest in seeing it. I have no interest in seeing this. Doesn't appeal to me. Um, you know, >> there's a weird factor to this, and this is what I love about this little kind of, and I don't know if there's a video in this for Andre at some point, but he can put it in his pocket if he wants to.
But I've noticed there's been a string of what I would call female friendly films in the last three to six months.
>> Yeah.
>> And they're doing well. You had that Zena movie that I can never remember the damn name of that Paulie does.
>> The drama.
>> The drama. Yeah. And then there was the other there was another uh romcom or rom drama that came out not too long ago that's on streaming now. Something about something about him or whatever that did well.
>> Everything or something about >> Yeah. And then there's this movie.
There's been a few others that that they knew their audience for once instead of trying to make movies for women like Mortal Kombat.
>> Mhm.
>> Right. which they made basically for a Mortal Kombat audience, but women are showing up >> or the Marvels that they tried to force women into this theaters.
>> Yeah.
>> But see, the thing is is women don't want to see the Marvels. They want to see Thor.
>> Like that's they want to see the cute boys flex in the as superheroes. Yeah.
>> But I I agree with you and there's a point to this that I think like there's some women if they if they didn't go see Prada last weekend, they're just going to wait for streaming.
>> Yeah. there. I think >> I think I think that's a good point because at this point I wonder I don't know what the numbers were on Prada last night but Michael actually overtook almost overtook Prada all week.
>> Yeah, >> they were like neck andneck all week long and it may have even beat it one of these days. I'd have to go back and look at the numbers but >> no pun intended. No pun intended.
>> No, I'm serious. Yeah, pun intended at all.
Uh, >> so I mean we're talking about these three films when it might be Michael is the upset. Like that's >> what I think. I think Michael might be a spoiler. I I'll let >> He might come back and it might be Mortal Kombat, Michael, Devil Wears Prada, Billy Eyish. That's our top four out of five.
>> Well, >> and then Sheep Detective crawls in at number five, you know.
>> I mean, that's very doable. I think we can all agree that it's going to be uh some big top five like, you know, like >> it's good for theaters, right? This is good for >> cinema.
>> Yeah.
>> Um, don't forget the little films, guys.
Mad bills to pay. Yo, >> but I think a big part of this is actually trying to gear movies towards the audience they're [ __ ] meant for, >> right? Or diversity.
>> That's a big part of it.
>> Correct. Yeah. Correct. Diversity of genres, of storytelling. Absolutely. Not just diversity within, you know, >> you know, we got to have the Marvels.
You know, you guys have talked all around it, so I've got to mention it.
But did you guys see that news where Kenneth Bran out? You just mentioned Thor.
>> Uh, >> I did, but I know what you're going to say. Go ahead.
>> He is wanting to do a Logan style movie about Thor.
>> This is the part that bothered me about that. That's interesting. I'd love to see that.
>> You know what bothered me about what he said?
>> No.
>> Disney never asked him to come back once.
>> What the [ __ ] There is your answer right there of what's wrong with the Marvel universe. Not only did you just not ask these guys and they said, "No, thank you."
>> RIGHT.
>> YOU DIDN'T EVEN [ __ ] BOTHER.
>> LIKE KENNETH Branaugh made the tone for that. If it wasn't for him, NOBODY WOULD HAVE TOOK THOR SERIOUSLY.
>> THAT'S RIGHT.
>> YEAH.
>> Think about a year 10 years, 12 years ago, 15 years ago before Thor came out.
>> Yep.
>> Why, bro?
>> Cuz he was a [ __ ] joke. I'm not mad.
I just think it's stupid that they were This is what's wrong with Marvel. We sit here all the time and we've said it before, but at least I would give them the benefit of the doubt that they actually went to, you know, cuz at least John Favro was directing [ __ ] Iron Man 2. So that gives you the idea and almost every other director came back that maybe they asked Kenneth and he just had the noodoo. I'm much too important for that, you know, kind of thing. It's like, okay, I can see that.
>> Same thing with maybe uh what's his face who did Captain America because he's kind of prickly. Um I just forgot his name. Not Russo.
>> No, no, no, no. Um, >> yeah. Steve Johnson or not John Steve Joe Johnson. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Yeah. Cuz he's kind of prickly. So, like, >> you know, like those guys I can understand saying, "No, I don't want to come back for another one." But when you tell me that you didn't even ask Kenneth Brana and he's more than interested to come back, like there's your [ __ ] problem.
>> Yeah. Especially with Thor: The Dark World. What the [ __ ] Like, >> yeah. Well, that's Thor: The Dark World is probably why I like Watiti's um Thor Ragnarok. Yeah.
>> Well, that's what happens when you have >> I have a theory of what may have happened there.
>> Yeah.
>> I don't know this for a fact, but what I do know is that the very first Thor movie wasn't made by Marvel Studios alone. It was a co-production with Paramount because all of the first batch of movies weren't Marvel Studios only.
They were co-productions with Paramount, >> right?
>> It would like all the major decisions.
Marvel could make requests, but it was Paramount that had to make the approval.
Uh you had the same deal with The Incredible Hulk with Universal where Marvel actually wanted Mark Ruffalo the entire time. it was Universal that nixed it and uh and uh gave them Edward Norton and as soon as they had the opportunity they ditched Edward Norton and went with Ruffalo instead. I wouldn't be surprised if it was uh if it was someone from Paramount that uh made the call that uh for this thing here you're like here's a list of five directors were happy to to fund this movie for and Kennana may have been may have been like the one that Marvel agreed with the most but maybe they never really wanted him and the reason I say that is because the very first movie that was a pure pure Marvel Studios production under Disney with absolutely no Paramount say whatsoever because remember uh Disney bought them out but par but Paradamount still had production deals and everything. So Paramount was a production partner on the Avengers and on Iron Man 3 but not on Thor the Dark World. Thor of the Dark World is the very first Disney Marvel Studios MCU movie.
I wouldn't be surprised, again, pure speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised if they never wanted to work with Brano to begin with. That is someone that Padamount stuck them with, and now they had the opportunity to work with someone else. Maybe he was going to be more malible and listen to what wanted. They found a TV director from from Game of Thrones.
>> Yep.
>> I know.
>> I think that's what happened.
>> Control. Control. It's all about control. And then you get a YT who I know everybody gives James Gun [ __ ] but this is the man I say you need to blame the most besides Kevin Feige for the tone of the Marvel universe >> because yes, people give [ __ ] to to to Gun. No, no, no, no, >> no, no, no. Tao YT because it's Tao Yiti's humor that everybody dislikes. James Gun's humor is fine. He's not the one that stops in the middle of a dramatic scene to tell a joke. It's this [ __ ] guy that does that. It's this [ __ ] guy that constantly has wacky, snarky [ __ ] characters. It's this [ __ ] guy who didn't even [ __ ] get to Guardians of the Galaxy.
>> And that's how you know. Watch watch Thor, Love, and Thunder compared to everything else Guardians of the Galaxy.
>> Those are not the same [ __ ] characters.
They are not. It's like, who are these people? cuz they are surely not the characters that we've seen for five [ __ ] movies now through the the first two Guardians films and the Infinity War and all that business.
>> Yeah.
>> They are not the same people. They're just mean to each other and they're snarky just like he is and like every other one of his characters.
>> Yeah. And it's a very particular type of snarky >> Exactly.
>> humor that only like you know New Zealand nerds get. It's like you know what [ __ ] out of here.
I don't I never like I never >> self-inserture [ __ ] that he does like people give gun a lot of [ __ ] like no I'm I'm sorry I'm stepping up for him a little bit here. I know I get enough [ __ ] already but yeah cuz like I I'm I'm not going to say [ __ ] about whatever cuz I I I still don't think Supergirl is going to do that great. I'm just like most people I just don't see the appeal of why you doing that secondly. But yeah, he's not the reason the Marvel universe sucks.
It's it's mostly Taiko Yitti and Kevin Feige. Those are your main two compul culprits right there.
>> Did you guys ever see the uh you remember there were those Marvel oneshots that uh were a thing back in like 2012 whatever.
>> Yeah.
>> So, uh and I liked a couple of them. Uh I like the agent Carter and the funny thing happened on the way to the Thor hammer or whatever. But um Taika Witi actually did two of them called Team Thor one and two, but they were mockumentaries. Yep. And you could get them on the home media versions of Civil War, Doctor Strange, and Ragnarok.
>> I don't know if you guys ever saw them.
I never did.
>> Yeah. You know what? I never I could never be asked to look for them because they were so well hidden. Yeah, >> they were they were hidden because they were they were on the bonus disc >> in a period. Oh, you're talking about the live action >> and fewer bonus discs. The one with this dude like this.
>> Oh, I like those.
>> Yeah, the ones that were kind of like what we do in the shadows where he had like this one regular dude who was like the housemate of Thor >> Dave or whatever his name was. Yeah, >> whatever. Something Daryl. Daryl. Daryl.
Yeah.
>> See, but that was fine for that thing.
That was fine for like a little side joke Easter eggy kind of thing.
>> Yeah.
>> But what show are we talking about?
>> Okay. Thor.
the little one shots they were doing for a while because what Andre Because what Andre is saying is true now. They actually I think they have most of them on Disney Plus now.
>> They are. Yeah.
>> But what they used to be is in the bonus features of each disc they would do a oneshot which would be like the equivalent of the old like Looney Tunes 7 minute commercials or the you know >> Yeah.
>> stuff they would show or you know Three Stooges shorts they would show you just basically like a little short film.
>> Yep. And this is famously where they kind of undid the whole thing with the Mandarin, right? Where they Hail to the King is one of the more famous >> Hail to the King, I think, or something.
>> Yeah, that's one of the important ones.
>> That is one of the important ones. Yeah.
>> But I like the Daryl ones just cuz they're funny, but like I didn't need that. It carried over into the movies so much, right? Like I loved Ragnarok for what it was, >> but Love and Thunder was just a [ __ ] disaster. Unwatchable.
>> Unwatchable. And it was just it it had every grading issue that people [ __ ] about the Marvel universe. And that's why I use that as kind of like this is an example of what happened, right? This movie right here.
>> It's a pure in sheu as Gary says, you know, >> it has all the fixings of all the bad things that were happening at the time.
Yes.
>> Yeah.
>> Multiverse madness was bad enough, but at least it has some things going for it. This that movie when I saw that I'm like, "Okay, this is it. We're done.
This is it's it's hit that moment that >> I think the only thing that gives Multiverse of Madness any watchability is Sam Ramy's. It's just style. I mean >> potentially that you had a and again that takes us back to the original point is when you actually have a director who knows what he's [ __ ] doing regardless if it turns out bad.
>> Yeah.
>> At least you have something you go well we can kind of see what they were trying to do or that they >> uh I hated that movie man.
>> Where the hell are you at?
>> He was sad.
>> Oh, I hated it too. Don't get me wrong, but >> it was more watchable than the next five or six [ __ ] movies.
>> Madness, Multiverse of Madness was >> I'm just saying I'm just saying I'm just saying the flavor with Remy, you know, >> it's it's at least a film >> that actually No, no, I would argue that makes it more of of more of a catastrophe, you know, like a a blasphemy to Ramy's past work. [ __ ] that. But then we have to hold then it's the same thing with Ron Howard. We'd have to hold him to the same fire that for Solo.
>> Yeah, but Ron Ron was all >> It's the same thing here for Sam Ramy though.
>> Ron Howard is not Sam Ramy.
>> No, no, no. But the same exact thing happened.
>> Hit a home run every time he goes. No, >> it's not like Ramy came >> I'm just saying Ron Howard and Ran Ramy came into basically the same exact situation. And you had two very competent directors who were mopping up a mess that a studio had created.
>> Yeah.
>> Well, and they had completely different directors who had preliminary work on it.
>> But also had to be part of that sequel that, you know, they were trying to make America Chavez a thing. Come on.
>> That's what I mean. He didn't have any control over that. All of that, all of that was preset up for him when he just came in and did what Ron Howard did, and that was do the homework or do the the assignment or whatever. Basically, >> basically do the stuff that was forced by the producers that was so bad that the original director boked at it.
>> Yeah. I But I don't I don't No. No, dog.
Cuz Remy did the arguably the best superhero movies ever.
>> Yeah.
>> Ron Howard see finish. Let me just finish. Ron I love Ron Howard's work.
I'm not saying that. But Ron Howard is very, you know, is very mainstream, you know, uh, he commercial sty type of, uh, storytelling. I love it. I love it.
Ray's the edge, right? He does a the edge with Americana stuff, even with a simple plan uh, all the way back. And to me, it just it was a a bigger uh, >> he's not above doing commercial stuff, though. But here's the difference >> is he had fuller control over Spider-Man or at least the first two films more so.
That's >> compared to this. He's literally just coming in and doing a mop-up job. This is why I compare it to Ron Howard. He had no input going into this. And I'm sure he want he's always wanted to make a Doctor Strange movie. We know he's a fan.
>> Yeah.
>> And he just took his chance. That's really what it was. See, Ramy's and and Ron Howard are the same in a sense that they're they're team players, >> right? John Favro is another one you can throw in that. They're all very talented, very good directors, and could probably produce just about any movie for you that would be good. But when you're saddled with what they were saddled with to work with, what the [ __ ] are you going to do?
>> They probably gave us the best they could out of it.
>> I don't know. I I had a very visceral reaction to that movie.
>> Oh, me too. I [ __ ] hated it. Don't get me wrong.
>> And I was upset that that Sam had put his name to it. I'm just agreeing with Chris that it's at least you could at least watch and go, okay, at least this had some sort of like in taking it back to the original point of having Kenneth Branghov behind the Thor films. At least if you had kept somebody behind these movies, each movie having its own voice coming through >> and tone and and consistency and it's the same problem we had with Star Wars, right? And I'm not saying you always have to have the same director, but at least for the first two or three films to kind of set the tone in motion, right? like and and I I think Brana had the better take on Thor overall. That's just he's the guy that helped us take him seriously.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Sorry. Yeah.
>> They needed Ragnarok to write the ship after the disaster that was as as uh Andre says the Disney MCU uh Thor 2. I I would say and I'm wearing the shirt today that Remy was did want to do Secret Wars before the Russo brothers signed back up. The thing I didn't like um Multiverse of Madness either. Uh it was almost a bait and switch. We saw the trailers uh for No Way Home, I think.
And it was like, "Oh man, great. More Spider-Man, more MC." But what I did appreciate about uh Spider-Man 3 was bad because they wanted him to do Venom and he didn't want to.
>> Yeah, that was Aviad's fault.
>> Time out. Time out. Everybody says this.
>> Yeah.
>> But here's where I'm going to hold what Paulie was just saying. This is where it was Rey's fault.
Nobody get the part wasn't Venom. Venom wasn't the [ __ ] problem. The problem was retconing Uncle Ben's death and making Sandman the guy that [ __ ] killed him. That's the problem with Spider-Man 3.
>> Okay. Well, >> that's the [ __ ] problem.
>> Man dying in the new Spider-Man movies and there not being an Uncle Ben dying is I think the problem with the new ones.
>> That's a whole another can of >> worms like Multiverse of Madness was the the horror was there. That was the thing that it needed. And I think >> those were the good things.
>> Yes. But did bring.
>> The only thing I liked about it was you could tell, okay, this is Sam Ramy because he does know how to handle horror. But I'm sure he was handed notes every day about the way the movie needed to be done and they were trying to make America Chavez a thing, too. And she didn't even need to be in this movie.
She wasn't liked in the comics. You didn't need to add all this stuff. It was really a Wanda division uh two sort of >> I can tell you pretty much exactly how that went down which is basically that Kevin Feige and the producers had a long list of these are the things that must be in the movie. This bit this bit this bit this bit this bit this bit this story plot this story plot story plot and here and here and here you can put your own spin on things. For instance, here we have the sequence. We have like this idea here. You can do this full RI like dead strange comes to life going here. You could be free. Do do some stuff. And that was the best part of the movie.
>> It was those moments seem to be unraigned. When he seemed to be unleashed >> to do it his way, you could tell, okay, you got a real ur here that knows how to scare people and he's just got to but he still has to get back to these stupid beats that are no good. And it's a shame. It's a shame. It's a shame. Guys, I do have to tap out early. I'm so sorry. I I told Tom at the top I had to go.
>> No, that's fine. Um, so go ahead and plug your wares and >> uh bleeding.com. Just go there. I'll let you guys know what we thought of Michael. I'll let you guys know how packed the theaters are and I'll try to dip my head in on the uh Prada and uh Mortal Kombat 2 theaters to see if they're equally crowded. I'll see you guys on Monday.
>> Yeah. Excellent. Take care and good to see you.
>> See you guys. Love y'all.
>> Take care. All right, let's see what the super chats. Super chats. Got Bradley FL who says, "Mortal Kombat 2 is the only movie I'm going to see in theaters since Deadpool." Well, there you go.
I can tell. And then Soul Nightmare says, "Bran wanted to do a proper planned Thor trilogy, but Marvel wanted to pump out another movie so quickly and dumped him without a second thought."
Yeah, that makes absolutely no sense at all. Uh, and with that, we're caught up with the super chats, and I think we're caught up >> on the Rumble side, too. So, Paulie, what do you got going on?
>> I don't know, man.
There videos and movie reviews, uh, all, you know what, the website the Latinoslant.com, it's completely free.
Every article you guys can read. Uh, there's no no gimmicks, any of that stuff. We just put up uh new film reviews of uh of the the sheep detective and a couple others by Sins Corner and all our great staff there. So, go check out our our our very free website and you know and and share. Thanks a lot, guys.
>> Yeah, and I believe >> and I forgot about your super chat.
Yeah, I didn't forget about it, but I was trying to find it here.
>> Um I must have accidentally bumped it.
Let me see.
>> Oh, okay. I'll have to find it behind the scenes then. Yeah, you're going to have to >> Sorry, Drew.
>> Yeah, it was way at the top.
>> It was at the beginning.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Well, just give me a second.
>> He was asking you about the uh um Mackie movie. The >> good ass coffee. Oh, Desert Warrior.
>> Desert Warrior movie.
>> The Desert Warrior movie.
>> Oh, yeah. I have a video in development about that actually. Let's see if I can find the super chat here.
>> Come on. Where is it then?
Well, it might help to look in the right place.
>> And we can finally say that >> that Matt Reeves has finally officially started shooting the Batman part two.
>> Finally.
>> Well, yeah. If you're a fan, I guess it's finally.
That's why I said it like that.
That's >> Oh, here we go. Drew Tipton, he said, "Andre, please tell us more about the desert warrior, its connection to Saudi fish 20130."
You know what? That right there is the angle of a video I am indeed working on.
It's a followup to the video I did before on the Saudi Vision 2030 with Neon and the Line, you know, the the city where they try to do a real life recreation of Mega City 1 and any other utopian hellscape. They try to bring it in reality and the Anthony Mackey movie actually is connected to that. So yeah, this is coming and it was coming anyway, but thanks for the super chat.
>> There you go. Oh, so happy birthday or a very merry unbirth to you.
And with that, go see Mortal Kombat.
>> What are you guys doing this weekend?
>> Tom, you got cooking. Tom, >> I don't know if I'll get my mom to go see Sheep Detective. Other than that, probably work >> Andre and I got a couple videos to do.
>> Yeah. So, >> uh, and I'll be I'll be working on, uh, on a couple of videos in addition to doing house renovation because, uh, it's done in here. Where's Mora?
>> It looks great, man. I love it.
>> I know. Did you get my poster? Is my poster up any anywhere there?
>> It's coming. It is coming.
>> Yeah, I know. Like, for instance, you see this this thing right here?
>> Yeah.
>> It's been in It's been in storage for >> for six years. Wow. Wait, is that Conan like a Yeah. Is >> it Frisetta? It looks like >> Frisetta. No, it's it's not it's not >> Oh, it's the other one. It's the Oh, it's the cover for Okay.
>> Yeah. Savage Sword signed by Roy.
>> Okay. Cool.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Very very clean background.
>> Six Six years it's been in storage. And uh same thing with uh your cover like or the poster you sent me. It is coming.
But uh I just have to get there. So, renovation continues. It is not done.
It's just being done in between other things.
>> There you go.
>> So, yeah. Also, oh, oh, oh, something else that uh was put up now after many, many years. The shield, the 100k shield from like eight years ago.
>> This is the first time I've actually ever seen it.
>> Yeah, it was put up earlier to >> say Midnight's Edge on there.
>> Yeah, it does.
>> That's cool, man. Yeah, >> you should take a picture and put it up on a on an X.
>> Yeah, I probably should have been like I I only opened the package for for >> I got a whole package of [ __ ] for him here, too.
>> It's been literally It's been in the box for for like eight years or so.
>> And I want to thank Sean Estep again for sending me a package. I don't know if he's out there listening, but thank you again.
>> It's ironic he sent me some Simpson.
He Yes. for my package, baby. He sends me books and toys and other fun stuff.
It's weird because he sent me Simpsons stuff and there's something Simpsons related coming out soon. So stay tuned, kids. Uh we're doing some videos.
>> So with that, uh Paulie, did you plug your wares?
>> Oh, yeah. This just the website and we got, you know, new videos coming up. Uh shorts all weekend, all that stuff. So uh happy Mother's Day, everybody.
>> And we can all recommend Mortal Kombat, too. So go go go catch Mortal Kombat 2 and then take your mom to either Michael Prada or Sheep or maybe she's a Billy Eyish >> or you know what? Yeah. No, you you take her to uh you say you take her to Prada or to Billy Isish and oops you walked into the to the wrong screen. So >> Mortal Kombat then what's better yet is your mom loves it. She's like, "Oh, that Carl Urban boy. He's so nice.
>> He's handsome.
>> He's handsome."
>> Yeah. That actually that actually is something that is also going up on my on my wall. The uh the signed dread poster that I've had for what I don't know 12 years or something storage just waiting to to go up on the wall. Yeah.
>> Well, I'm glad to hear these things cuz I certain I've seen I don't know how many times comments same thing with Michael. Like the girls are like, "Oh, he's so handsome." Especially Jafar as Michael. Like even in the theater yesterday that there was two girls talking about how handsome he looked as Michael in the one part. I'm just like Jesus. Like these girls love.
>> Do your mother a favor. Take her to see Michael. It's probably the better.
>> She I don't know if she'd be into that or not. I think she'd like the sheep detective movie. She's one of those hallmarky kind of talking animals type loving. She loves those kind of movies.
So I think that would be the better one for her. If I take her to a movie, if I can. Uh she probably has to work. And holy crap, Jesus Deila reminding us that we have to do a membership stream gifting 20 >> memberships.
>> Fantastic. Thank you.
>> That is a lot.
>> Gracias. I haven't seen Jesus in a minute. What's up?
>> Yeah, it's been a minute.
>> Good to see you.
>> Good to see you.
>> Uh we need to do a membership stream.
>> Yes, we do need to do one. Uh if uh when do we want to do one here? Well, not so much when do we want to. When can we?
>> Um next week. Not going to be this weekend, but I can guarantee you.
>> Well, uh I think I'm pretty swamped a couple days, so check back with me and we'll we'll try and let you guys know by Monday for sure. How's that sound? Uh I'll try to hold my hold on to that. And with that, take care of yourselves and each other. And >> let's bring out the koalas in the rain.
>> Round one, rain. Jesus dila also reminds you to smash that like button.
>> Thanks.
