This analysis masterfully uses sci-fi to illustrate the breaking point of moral absolutes, proving that even the firmest duties have a price tag when survival is at stake. It is a rare example of pop culture commentary that successfully bridges the gap between abstract ethical theory and narrative tension.

THE EXPANSE SEASON 2 just started and I'm already lostAdded:
Season numero 2. Hello. Oh no. No. Okay.
I just died in my house.
That is not the lyrics. Anyway, hello.
Oh, previously. Yes. Thank you.
>> Her name is Julie M.
>> That I remember.
>> Your daughter is dead.
>> Her father turned her into an experiment. So, there were a lot of comments under the video last episode, like the the uh what's it called? Season one finale. There were a lot of comments.
>> Some didn't make it.
>> Oh, it's not funny. I did not read most of them because there I hadn't I haven't had time. Okay, it's been a day. But yeah, so I will read what you guys told me about Julie's dad and like how he's >> on the ridge line.
>> We're blind here.
>> Still can't print the tangles.
>> Hello.
>> No sh if we don't move.
>> How he's involved in getting Julie out of uh the belt. What is this? Why am I looking at the enemy?
>> Where's the love, guys?
>> Where's the love? Where is the love?
Where is the love?
>> Oh, okay. Iron Man.
>> Oh, actually, I managed down. We are in this crater.
>> Rumor is you're heading to Phoebe Station, so say your goodbyes.
>> Oh, you don't want to go there. I promise. What is the timeline again?
Second, I thought we were under attack.
Never mind. I mean, this is Mars, and it did say Mr. MRT MRT.
>> Your inheritance will still be there when we get back.
>> Inheritance.
>> Terraformers are familyowned anyway. All of them.
>> Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. I need to write I need to write it down. I need to write it down.
>> I'll catch up with you in a minute.
>> Roger that, Gunny.
>> Is Gunny like her name? Draper. Oh, the other guys had Scythe written on. So, I'm guessing that's their name. Okay.
So, Draper. Why is it red? Oh, yeah.
Mars. That's fun. The pen. Red. The pen.
Draper. Uh, what was it the other girl's name? Holly. Inheritance girl.
Inheritance.
No, I don't know how to spell inheritance.
Oh. Oh. Oh. Okay. Yeah, the subtitles are not it. Let's see if I can Is there any Italian? Yeah, let's see how it goes.
You're going to learn Italian. That's cool.
>> By 50 times the lethal limit of radiation. You're doing surprisingly well.
Oh yo.
Oh, okay.
Jesus. They got me.
They got me. I don't play about Naomi.
Okay. You're not allowed to play with Naomi.
Amos, is that you? Yes. You are creepy enough to be Amos.
>> Maybe we should let the guys on Tao handle.
>> Yes. Okay. Subtitles are just [ __ ] up.
>> I need to pee.
>> I'm peeing right now.
>> What is he doing?
>> That's a cryogenic chamber at the core.
>> It's losing power, >> which also means whatever it was freezing is going to become >> unfrozen. What happen if one of us infected?
>> We'll cross that bridge if we get to it.
>> You mean you're going to space us?
>> Yes, >> of course.
>> Cheap gambling and cheap sex, which is good. Yeah, cuz they keep our children with jobs.
>> On Mars, they're fixing to send out relief ship.
>> We should go back. Whatever happened, maybe he's over now. Maybe.
>> Oh, sweetheart.
>> Steel left alive.
>> No, the whole thing is a lot more could have been saved.
>> Torchable.
>> Yeah, they could have been. Did you even try?
>> Oh, hello. Yes. Hello. I mean, I understand cuz like he's lived his whole life like being, you know, neglected by every single government and like, oh god, it's sad all around. Why? Like being stepped on constantly and being treated like less than human. I understand that, but like they did try to help. They did. I mean, they didn't go out of their way to help, but it's also understandable cuz there was like a deadly virus going around and there was the possibility of saving few. Oh, this is very nice philosophical question.
There is a certainty of saving few against >> because Aeros is some backwater that doesn't deserve basic humanitarian aid.
>> Who is this?
>> Nobody gives a [ __ ] about 100,000 belters.
They'll answer for it.
>> They will not. Truth is, they're going to answer when the proto molecule hits something more important than Aeros. Anyway, the certainty of saving fuel against the possibility of saving more. For me, like in my my own opinion, I would probably choose to save the few as well. like that's a certainty, okay?
You know, you're going to save those and there's a possibility of not saving anybody that comes with the possibility of saving a few more because what happens if you save somebody who is like just who just got infected, right? So, I was looking into um consequentialism and non-consequentialism because I wanted to say something about that, but then I forgot what I wanted to say and I stumbled upon this article and it's so interesting. I will link it in the description. It's all going to be there like always and it's called Beyond Killing One to say five, sensitivity to ratio and probability of moral judgment.
Guys, you have to read that. you you have to read it. It's so interesting.
And it talks about something that I've never heard before and it's called threshold theontology. So theontology for the init for the non-initiated. Is that how you say it? I I have no idea. Let me look it up. I am not good at explaining.
Deontology is a normative ethical theory that judges the morality of an action based on rules, duties, and intentions rather than consequences. But there is this thing uh that is called thresholdtology uh that I looked up now and apparently it's a thing cuz I never heard of it before. And it says uh it's a hybrid ethical theory holding that moral duties and rules are binding but only until the consequences of following them become extremely severe. It acts as a compromise between deontology which forbids certain acts regardless of the consequences and consequentialism which requires maximizing good outcomes.
That's what I was looking for. I was looking for Mill um John Stewart Mill and I forgot. I also don't like him. So, you know that maybe that's why I forgot this article and it's so interesting. I've read half of it and there's like there's studies. So, there's four studies. Study number one examines the extent to which people are sensitive to the ratio of lives saved to lives ended by a particular action. Then study number two verifies that the ratio rather than the difference between the two values is operative. Study number three examines whether participant treat probabilistic harm to sum as equivalent to certainly harming few holding expected uh ratio constant and study number four explores an analogous issue regarding the sensitivity of probabilistic saving.
Ow. I encourage you to go read it cuz uh it's I'm really liking it study number three because it it somewhat what we're dealing with because we're saying I mean I'm saying I wouldn't go back to maybe save more if I already have some here already saved. It's like putting everybody at risk again when we barely made it out alive. Let's go and see if we can understand without the context of the rest of it.
Bestie says, "Not going to put all that in a text box. Maybe what is it?" Jesus, why don't you put the [ __ ] text thinging yourself? Bestie says, "You'll never know though. Maybe you would be able to save more people, but yeah, you still have to decide who's going to who is going to live maybe and who's going to die for sure." Yeah, you do. And honestly, I would go with the for sure. Again, it's also because I have the full picture and I know what's happening on EOS, so I would not go back. Basically, all this to say, that's a very nice question. Thank you for asking. See, this is this is where my ADHD starts to kick in, you know, because it's a small chance of a huge benefit and like should it outweigh the certain moderate benefit because we do have some people and we did survive. And it's crazy that my brain made the connection right now, but it feels like, oh my god, I don't want to be the millennial that says like we live in a society. We're conditioned to think that we have to either accept nothing or strive for the best possible outcome.
We kind of forget that there's a middle in there, like there's moderation.
And that is okay, too. Like sometimes that's the best you can do. You don't have to be the best at everything. You can just be good. I wish I was good enough at a lot of things like coding or woodwork.
I don't want to be the best at it. I just want to be good enough to make like a shelf.
How cool would that be? All that to say.
Um, nothing. All that to say nothing.
Uh, enjoy. And they brought that. What the [ __ ] Hello. What is that [ __ ] doing on the Rosinante? Oh, that was that. Oh, no. They did get they did they did take the the whatever like a safe.
Oh, no.
>> I want your viewers to listen closely.
>> Gold and blue and red.
>> He cannot.
My father taught me something.
>> Oh. Oh, it's so gorgeous.
>> Hello.
>> Hold on. I can't hear you.
Explosion is down and on fire.
>> Archangel is secured. We have Archangel.
Archangel is not on the vehicle.
>> Proto molecule seems to behave uniquely in each subject, mutating rapidly in each different biomass.
>> Oh my god. Dresden, that's his name.
>> Proto molecule. They gave the goddamn thing a name.
>> Station is where it all started.
>> The only way to see what it's evolving into is by feeding it a larger biomass.
>> He's talking about aeros. Phoebe was an extra solar object. What if it were merely a delivery system? A way to send a proto molecule to our solar system. It begs the question, sent by whom? And why?
>> He said extra solar object.
>> First proof of extraterrestrial life.
>> And it's just more [ __ ] death.
>> Tao first. Cap's right. Nobody asks. You know, Nick.
>> Oh, I see. That's because he killed Simata, isn't it? I know Nick. Maybe still help those people on Aeros.
>> Those people are beyond help.
>> You don't know that. Then we'll hide it.
>> Where?
>> Out here.
>> You can put it where? Oh no, they nuked the station. Never mind.
>> She's doing it again.
>> Who is doing what? What is this? What am I looking at, man?
God, the stairs. Like the blonde girl in the back and the guy over here, they're staring in a way that is kind of creepy.
Shirco, that's a wind.
>> We chose Mars. Mars chose us.
>> The only thing that makes you a Martian is falling out of your mother's gravity well.
>> Oh yeah, these are the guys. Okay, the girl is the Draper.
>> I don't use sex as a weapon. Little ones.
>> Little ones. Kind of weird. I'm not going to lie. Please don't say that again.
>> You'll be landing on Phoebe station.
Every one of the bodies was frozen to the walls of the ice tunnels.
>> Okay, Donager is already down. What's her accent?
Gunny. Why? Why is Gunny? So, it is her name.
>> Nobody knows what really happened.
>> We know those stealths were earthbuilt.
>> So says Fred Johnson.
>> Also, as somebody pointed out, as somebody pointed out in the comments, I saw that one and I'm pretty sure it's like the only one I've read. The parts were Earth manufactured. We don't know where like the rest of it was done. We don't know whose ships they are because they could not be from Earth or the OPA.
Although I do think it's I mean at this point I at this point I'm pretty sure it's it's um Julie's dad. But there I don't think they're they were built on Earth. I think they were built wherever the [ __ ] they have like a oper base of operation. I don't know what I'm saying, but like the only person that was aware of this was not is the guy in the council or in the UN thing, whatever, and Julie's dad.
So, I just wanted to say that I I did read that comment and I was like, "Oh, let's try it."
>> We went to bed every night thinking that we would wake in nuclear fire.
>> We all grew up with that story >> because it was a warning. Yeah, it's a cautionary tale.
>> That's our job to make sure that that war never happens.
>> All those resources to the military now.
None of us will live to see an atmosphere over Mars.
>> Okay. I mean, till a certain point cuz Oh, wa. Look how much life around him.
The only thing that we've seen his things do is take life. And there's a look at all this life around him.
>> Sad.
>> Sad. Name name. This was Julie's spot.
>> [ __ ] you.
>> Far from the house. My Julie.
>> Even losing her was worth it. She's a sacred part of it now. So don't talk to me about sacrifice ever again.
>> I'm about to say it.
>> He is a bad guy. He is a terrible person. That was really sexy. I don't know who said that.
>> How long are you going to wear this?
>> Leave it alone. Oh, okay.
>> Have something we need to get sorted out. We should get through that. Simmyi, you're upset about that, right? And when your pop pulled a gun, might as well shot himself, right? Here, here's what I see. Okay, >> Amos. Empathy.
>> You shot my friend.
>> Yeah, >> like some street rat.
>> Yeah, not ideal. You know, >> if you need to square up, you know where I am.
>> Let's not do that cuz I'm pretty sure Miller would die. Okay.
There we go. Um, damn. I We good now? We square.
>> Stay down, Miller.
>> You should.
Oh my god. Good god.
>> Amos, stop it.
>> I told him to stay down.
>> He did say that. Um, still not good. But he did say that to his defense. Miller.
You know what? The beard is working wonders.
I don't know why everybody's hot in this season.
Oh my god.
>> Oh my god. Rich, rich, rich, rich. Oh, I hate that purple with that blue. I hate it with a passion. I've never been this passionate about something.
>> Maybe you should take a few days. At least skip the meeting.
>> No.
>> Mars does not want war. They want to get back to terraforming and building domes for the >> Oh, hello. I know you.
>> Am I bothering you?
>> Yeah, he's not your fellow.
>> Timber was a good man.
>> It's more like your kid. 200 lb homicidal kid >> caught in a terrible moment.
>> Oh, >> Amos is different.
>> Yeah, I know, babe. But that was like one of his only friends and he's allowed to be kind of crazy about that. You understand? Like he killed him. He murdered.
>> You know that old guy.
>> You're uh kind of like this guide star, right?
>> Like Julie is to you. How long you and her?
>> Uh kind of never. Oh my god. There's a picture of Julie.
>> Olden was shocked by Arrow. So I was shocked that hadn't happened a long time ago. I wake up some nights and I see her standing right there. She tells me you belong with me.
>> The UNN Nathan Hale is on a direct course to Phoebe Station. Must be something there they don't want us to find.
>> Yeah, of course. Under no circumstances are we to allow Phoebe to fall under UN control.
>> Who's going to feast on Earth's sky and drink their rivers dry?
>> Okay, but can't hear you.
>> Okay, that was kind of sexy. There is something wrong with me. Like deeply deeply deeply wrong with me.
>> Good to see you, Courty. If you'd known it was me, would you have come?
>> No.
>> Spare me the [ __ ] I know all about your freelance work. I'm being set up.
>> Who are the players?
>> Under secretary, right?
>> However you spell that.
>> All right, cowgirl.
>> This is not Holden. This is Alex. Sorry.
>> When we're in dangerous situations, you hide your nerves by asking weird, inappropriate questions.
>> Okay, this is so unsettling. Shots like upside down and stuff cuz you know they're in space.
>> Tell me that you're okay.
>> I'm okay. Why am I about to cry? Why?
Why do they want to make me cry all the time?
Should I leave the room or should I?
I mean, I would love to join, but I don't know if we're there yet.
We are. I've been really trying >> I've been I've been trying >> What the hell?
>> It's a ground operation. Why are we firing missiles?
>> As we speak, the marshes could be preparing a strike all over the system.
>> Goian, sorry, I loved his his um game book like this. I don't remember.
I will put it on the screen. My brain is fried at this moment. My anxiety is spiking. Spiking.
>> You know Captain Yini?
>> Since he was a little know-it-all at the academy debating me in philosophy. Let this saber rattling play out.
>> Huh?
>> I didn't know we shared Captain Yini as a friend who never went to the academy.
>> Oh, you big brain. Did we win? Did we win? Did we win? Oh, >> the Nathan Hail has not fired on the Shurocco. Their missiles were not intended for us. The Martians were targeting Phoebe Research Station. The fragment spiraled into Saturn. It's completely gone to Saturn. So now Saturn has the proto molecule. No. Or is it dead? I think it's dead cuz it needs like something alive, right? To like latch on. Protogen contractor. Protogen. What the [ __ ] Huh?
>> We should head in your head for you, Migo.
We'll figure it out.
>> What is this? What is this? He keeps doing it. Even last season, he kept doing it. What is it? Oh, he's facing Seatimba.
>> Yeah, he is. Farewell. It's like the funeral in um Guardians of the Galaxy, right? Is it something like that?
>> Va. It's lasagna. It's >> voila.
>> It's not bad, Marshall.
You know, I remember times >> when there was real cheese. They busted that black market cur cartel.
>> I busted that cartel. Craziest thing though. Whole shipment disappeared.
Security camera short now.
>> Come on. Sit down and eat with us.
Please. Please.
>> So the governor of Sirius gathers all the Starillas cops together for an ass. They got over that governor.
>> I'm going to die over them. Like honest to God, I'm already crying. This is not good.
>> They wanted something on Phoebe and we vaporized it.
>> Earth knows the price of escalation as well as we do.
>> You said our job is to prevent a war with Earth. Ever wonder if we've got it backwards?
>> Why would we?
>> Maybe we can't have the dream of Mars until we've had that war.
>> Why do you want this war? Over what? You guys are the powerhouses of space.
Literally, all you do is is like oppress the belt. That's That's all you do all day, every day. Do you want to have it first? Like, I don't understand. I know that you want this, but also it's on you to for from, you know, putting all the [ __ ] resources on military. Like, what the hell? I am so confused. I mean, probably I did not catch some things. I mean, I also don't know why Mars is so set on like being a military powerhouse. I don't get it. Is Mars not like a colony? Like, in this instance, Earth is like Europe. Mars is America, right? I understand Trump wants a war and he got it. But I don't know. I don't know why you would put everything on the military when you still don't have a livable planet. Like that's on you. Why you blaming me? I can't believe I said all that and then I did not take the next natural step.
Independence. I'm guessing at one point Mars gained indep independence or like enough independence to be left alone, right? And okay, they invest in the military to be able to m maintain that independence, which makes sense. The thing I don't get is why this much of their resources is put into the military when they still don't have a livable planet. From what I've seen, Earth is not trying to take them back as a colony. I guess this could also be just me being naive about military and politics. Just doesn't really make much sense to me. So, if anybody can please explain this without any spoilers, that would be appreciated because right now I see that they want me to empathize, but I can't really do that. Be be my empathy.
>> Play.
>> Sir, we precipitated this by sending a ship to Phoebe in the first place.
>> Agreed. But only because I know what what's on Phoebe.
>> Sure, if I may.
>> No, you may not.
>> You want us to attack a Martian moon?
>> Oh, she wants >> a base for a base. I don't know how we can get much more proportional than that. Uh, >> wasn't it dual run? I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Is this the Jedi Council? Hello.
Earth and Mars both shared ownership over the station, right? That's what he said before. One intel from Mars came that the station was no longer safe. The second something happened on Phoebe.
Everything started going to share. Do you know like I mean wait I do have the bigger picture. They don't. Um wait actually they do because Holden cannot keep his mouth shut. Oh and Fred Johnson did what Holden did and just released everything. He released the files. Oh my god. The exponent is able to release the files. Anyway, let me move on. I am one minute into this.
>> Are you saying you won't carry out a lawfully given order?
>> Oh, well, >> afraid I'm going to have to ask.
>> No need to pretend this is a request, sir.
>> Yeah, exactly.
>> I stepped down as fleet commander.
>> I mean, good for you cuz you stayed true to your morals. Um, bad for us though, cuz you were levelheaded, babe. Or at least I think. I don't know. I heard like three sentences from this guy.
Oh. Oh. Mars. New York City was before Mars habitat. Oh my god. I'm reading everything from now on. I'm reading every single line. Jupiter and sun something. Saturn. No, was not. And Saturn. This is Saturn.
Who is this guy? Is this Holden?
Oh my god. Did you see the little the little thingies like in the the Last of Us Tao station? Here we are.
>> You are cleared for station dock at birth.
>> Birth. That is such a funny word. Birth.
>> Shall I meet them on the dock with guns?
>> We'll start with conversation.
>> Yes, please. Please, somebody, please start with conversation once in their life.
Miller, >> what happened to the OPA operative I task you to find?
>> Yeah, that's a long story.
>> Maybe it's the story of where the hell you've been since then.
>> We were on Aeros. We barely got out alive.
>> Can you just let us speak?
>> Her name was Juliet Andromeda Mau in case you're interested. She died. Aos is an experiment on belters. Everybody down there is dead. They're dying.
>> At least some of the people responsible for Aeros are going to be there. If we want answers, >> here's the base of operation that I was talking about.
>> But it's got a habitat ring, which means someone's home.
>> Do you have any idea of the resistance inside?
>> No, we don't. That's why we're talking to you.
>> Well, I don't do that kind of thing anymore.
>> I mean, you're going to you're going to have to. Sorry. I just want the protolecule gone. I want it gone. I don't want it anywhere near us. Okay.
>> Are we on the belt?
>> No.
>> Yes. Union offices are about two levels down.
>> No. Tao station.
>> Y'all can apply for assistance at either one of those if you need.
>> I love Alex's accent. I don't know where that is from. I would listen to him talk all day.
>> The ins my home.
>> Can people be kinder to him? Like I hate that they treat him so bad.
>> Porestters of the system, right? The ones knowing >> colors. You feel better when I watch those [ __ ] burn.
>> Look, but it's not going to make you feel better. We should have saved more.
We saved us. M >> crew comes first. If we would have went back for strays, we'd end up dead like them.
>> That's what I'm saying. Oh my god.
>> We could have filled the rosy with people, but we didn't.
>> How would you have gotten people? I >> mean, doing nothing is just as bad as doing the wrong things.
>> Oh, he's not there anymore.
>> That we only help.
>> Oh, say he buy me drinks if I sit here and listen to you.
>> I'm here for you, Alex. I know.
>> Rame with some bad people once, but this time it's different.
after Aeros.
>> Doing nothing is the wrong thing. Yeah, like Alex said.
>> Are you scared?
>> Of course.
>> I'm angry.
>> You can be angry and scared. I am most of the time.
>> So, God, she's so pretty. What kind of profile?
You >> mean Amos in particular?
>> He said he'd be okay throwing me into space without my helmet.
>> Sounds like Amos. It's like a brother.
>> You sure he's clear on that?
>> Pretty sure. Yeah. Oh, yeah. They don't give me the vibe. will be adding 30 more positions to the Nauvoo.
>> The Nauvoo the Cult thingy.
>> Few more scrap from his table.
>> Is that guy the one that was in the screen before? That's tattoo.
>> Just unear a plane. Belter came this close to wasting.
>> Yes, it was.
>> You're the one who don't belong here.
>> I see. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Night time.
>> Took what should be ours. Like Anderson door.
>> What am I looking at? Oh my god. Do those is called the same as the station.
What >> happened to it was a genocide on Belters. They're going after those who kill a tell that to your factions.
>> I mean, somebody is in charge and that somebody is not the guy that was just defenistrated. And yes, that is a word.
I did not make it up. And it's funny because that's something that was very much done in Europe.
>> Going down the assault team. Fred's trying to land 50 pissed-off pelters.
>> And you are the police arresting them on on the belt. Hopefully, you don't say anything to them. Well, you're not going to make it there. You're They're going to kill you first.
>> I will clean out my cabin. Leave it.
>> They'll be waiting for you when you get back.
>> I just had a thought. I had a thought and I'm not liking the thought that I had. Why did we say that?
Why did we say that?
>> Sit.
>> Is that an order?
>> If that'll make you sit your ass down.
Yes.
>> Mhm.
>> Please.
>> It's a polite one.
>> We're just two people having a drink. No ranks.
>> You just gave him an order. Very polite one.
>> Smug old [ __ ] who enjoys playing with life and death.
>> And the solar system is in tatterish because of people like you and Aaron Wright. Despite your delusions to the contrary, you madame under secretary may be the worst person I have ever met.
>> Correct. But also >> now why don't you grow a pair and tell me why you're here.
>> Tell me about Fred Johnson.
>> Belters who seized control of Anderson Station were trying to negotiate for days. Colonel Johnson wasn't told that they'd surrendered. Because the powers of the be wanted to send a message to the belt.
>> And Fred Johnson switched sides. Why?
>> Because that's not fair. He was a hero to Earth and despised everywhere else.
All based on a lie.
>> Yeah.
>> So, does that make him a hero or a traitor?
>> A person with morals. A person with, you know, a brain and eyes to see that that is [ __ ] up.
>> But I know that he's an honorable man who held on to his soul and that is a tough thing to do in this line of work.
She's buying.
>> She is. She's filthy rich. So, >> I want to talk to Fred Johnson.
>> Madam, >> that is treason. Yeah, quite. Why? I mean, I know why, but like why? Molinari guy. Molinari. Um, it's a drink in Italy. I don't know if it's the same everywhere else.
>> Holding. You copy?
>> I copy.
>> So far so good.
>> Oh, they're going to have to like lock in and stuff. That's so disgusting. Uh, when I, you know, reading about it, it's so disgusting. If I'm remembering correctly, this is gorgeous.
Oh my god. The coffee.
>> All right, people. Here we go.
>> Oh, I don't like this. I don't like that thing just flying around, floating around.
Can you Can you hold that cop?
>> It'll get a little bumpy when the thrusters fire.
>> Oh, Miller.
>> Keep your helmets on anyway. Try not to puke it.
>> Yeah. Oh my god. Do you know where suck it up buttercup comes from? Look it up.
>> What's the ghost signal?
>> That will explode and turn into a door.
>> Stay away from the aqua.
>> Aqua.
>> Oh [ __ ] >> Oh [ __ ] That's the guy that is him. Is it him? Am I making that up? Is that the guy that was in the like they were redirecting the water?
>> I thought I was done with all this >> sending people to their deaths.
>> Everybody here is a volunteer.
That was the old trick. Getting them to believe that it was their own idea.
>> Yeah. Again, illusion of choice. That's certainly a theme in these uh shows.
>> Didn't the Navy teach you to stole your gear before we went into maneuvers?
>> Yeah, not a fan of that.
>> Last time I saw you, you were you were stealing sewer water on arrows.
>> No [ __ ] You see what they did there?
>> He kind of seems like happy happy to see him. You look like you see your own ghost.
>> Yeah, I just kind of Yeah.
>> space.
>> Also, I did read a comment that said uh that the guy that him um I don't know his name, like the actor liked to vomit, like fake vomit of course on set and so he just kept doing it. And this is funny now. It's funny now. It's not funny to see, but sure.
>> My uncle was a hero. He died fighting us. He put me out the first because he had love for me. If another belt ship don't see the blasting cup for me, I still be on the floor.
>> Oh my god. It's time for me, Sasake. I keep an eye on you, old man.
>> Oh, he's dying. I don't like this. I don't like it. Big ship. Big ship. Big ship.
Big ship. Big ship. Big ship. Okay.
>> Oh, no. No.
>> We're breathing. It must be good.
>> Okay. So, this was the plan. I'm guessing this was the plan. I don't like this plan. I wanted, you know, I wanted to be make aware. I I would have wanted to have been made aware. I think that's >> We've lost the feed line to number 60.
>> I can patch that. One half maneuver and you're done.
>> We don't get that thruster back and we're all done.
>> Where the heck?
Sorry, that was funny. Oh, Wilson.
>> I'm going to have to clear the stage to fire the PD.
>> Do it. Roger.
>> Amos.
Oh, no. Amos.
>> Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
>> That stealth is nearly on our tail. We let get one more clear shot at us, it's going to cut us in half. Hard now. We do that and Amos is dead.
>> Amos is not dying. Amos is not dying.
There is no way in [ __ ] hell. H I will never forgive you guys if Amos dies here. I will never ever ever for Oh, >> it wasn't the one with Miller. There was no way.
>> We're about to do a hygiene maneuver.
>> Oh my god. Oh my god.
Oh my god.
Oh, hi Gi maneuver. Because they make they make gravity with like movement.
>> Surprise, [ __ ] >> Okay, we we we did it. We did it. Now, confirm to me that Miller is not dead, please. I think No, I think they did. I think they showed him. I mean, I just I I know it's not. I I know he's not dead 100%. Amos. Amos. Here they are. Yeah.
Yeah, they did show it. They did show it. Never mind.
Nobody's [ __ ] here.
>> Bumper look like nobody home. Maybe >> you okay?
>> What? How?
>> There's a gel around.
>> Invincible me.
>> Which pod was Miller on?
>> Second.
>> I'm on it.
>> Second one. It's okay. We're fine.
Oh, you know, >> we win.
>> Sort of. Um, what was the gel around it though? Like, was that a proto molecule?
No. Oh, this is not Phoebe. Oh my god.
What? What are we looking at?
>> All right, everybody on a floor. SHOW ME SOME HANDS.
>> THAT'S so creepy. Oh, I would rather there have been soldiers with guns. I would rather there had been whatever. I would prefer soldiers with guns. Hey, come on. Get up.
>> Oh my god. Don't unhook them. Don't Don't do it. Don't do it. I don't know what what is going to happen. Freaking me out.
>> Oh my god.
>> I need these scientists alive.
>> I would prefer the guns, please. I would prefer terrorist organization.
Oh god. What is this? What are we doing?
>> All right, turn it off. Durb.
>> Oh well. Hello, Dresden.
>> Help us make a vaccine. No, that goes against everything we're trying to accomplish. EXPECT IT TO SAVE US ALL.
>> WHY?
>> You're going to have to be a hell of a lot more specific than that.
>> Also, why don't you say something?
Jesus. an organism that can repurpose other life forms and use them to evolve into what? That's what we're trying to find out.
>> It could have fed a bad bacteria >> instead of belters.
>> Proto molecule is proof that we're not alone in the universe. If we master it, we can apply it. We become our own gods.
>> That's what you're willing to commit genocide for.
>> All you can do now is waste the data and ensure that every man, woman, and child on that rock die for nothing. The data will erase itself if anyone other than me tries to decrypt it. Humanity will be left unarmed to an enemy who has already fired the first shot.
>> So you're telling me that the faith of the universe rests upon your shoulders?
I don't believe this. Like the only I can access the thing. I It's too big of a research for it to go for it for it all to go to [ __ ] because you die. It's this big of a research and they let you there, they let you be there alone and the second they hear something's a miss, they don't come collect you. If your codes or whatever are the only ones that avoid self-destruction, be sure they're going to come and snatch you and collect you collect you from anywhere you are.
That's just counterproductive in my opinion. Like heart attacks exist.
Falling down a flight of stairs spontaneously catching on fire. A lot of things can happen and you're the only one that can access this thing. I don't believe you.
>> I don't care who controls the project.
So long as I can get back to my work with no restrictions.
>> Not even morals. Like moral restrictions. Not even that. Like you already killed everybody on Done.
I never said a bad thing about Miller.
Never. I've only had praises for him.
Never said a bad word about him. Was that the right thing? No. Absolutely not. Cuz now we're [ __ ] Was that satisfying? Yes. Three shots were not enough. I say keep going. I say do it again.
