Major IVF Update: How The Procedure Went!本站添加:
Wait a minute. Let me finish.
>> Here is a really pretty.
>> We just moved into our new build and nobody tells you how many bugs come with it. Spiders, random flying bugs, ants showing up out of nowhere. Apparently, it's super common because all the land around new construction is still being disturbed. As much as I love a fresh new house, the bugs, yeah, absolutely not.
We started using Pesty, which is a DIY pest control system that costs about 1/4 of what the normal pest control companies charge. And honestly, it's been really easy. They send everything you need, including the sprayer, the gloves, and prograde pesticide. You just mix it, spray around the property, and you're done in 10 minutes or less. Also like that it's customized based on your location, season, and the bugs in your area because Texas bugs, yeah, they are no joke. If you're dealing with the same thing and you want something that is pet and kid-friendly, scan the QR code or use the link in my description for an extra 10% off your first order and start saving with Pesty today.
Something divine. Oh yeah.
>> Morning vlog.
>> What's up y'all?
>> It's early in the morning and today is the day. So tired.
>> Yeah. Um it's egg retrieval day. So we're at the surgery center right now and um we get we getting ready to get these eggs out, you know. We're getting ready to get them out so we can move forward move to the next step. But it's exciting and um it is early, man. We had to get up at like 4:00 in the morning.
>> Yeah.
>> Um to be here by 5:30. Well, to get here 5:30 so we can um get prepared and everything. But >> it's going to be a good day.
>> It's going to be a productive egg getting day.
>> Yeah.
>> And um just proud of this woman, you know.
>> Okay. Sorry that came in.
>> Yeah. But um so yeah, ready to get this thing going and get home to my sugar baby.
>> Yeah, it's the second time we've done this. So um we kind of know the lay of the land here. It's actually This is probably the same room we was in last time.
>> It feels like it, right? I think so.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Wow. It's crazy.
>> Two year over two years ago.
>> Two years ago. Eggs were what we got.
Wait a minute. Let me finish to But yeah, y'all been >> Yep. It's time. You know what? I'm ready. I'm ready to get this over with so I can go get some food.
>> That's her number one thing.
>> Yep.
>> She had to fast, so she's a little hungry right now.
>> I had stopped and got gas. She was like, "Can you give me some bunions?" I said, "No."
>> Yep.
>> And aren't you proud of me? I ain't even eat nothing in front of you.
>> You shouldn't.
>> Why?
>> Cuz we in this together.
>> You got your weight.
>> I'm not fast enough.
>> I should be able to eat.
>> You and I got to go through all this.
The least you can do is not eat.
>> All right, man.
>> W husband. But I'm sure they have some snacks in the um waiting area.
>> Yeah.
>> At least it's not that long. They literally said it's going to be like less than 30 minutes in and out.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> So, at least you won't be waiting all day.
>> Yeah. And you going to go under that you going to go under that anesthesia.
>> Mhm.
>> This about to be I mean it's going to be fast sleep, but it's about to be some good sleep.
>> Yeah. It is now 2 days post egg retrieval.
>> Yeah.
>> And I'm feeling pretty good. I'm feeling really good. um just a little like sore obviously but not like in any pain or anything. Um so yeah, it happened and we retrieved 33 um embryos. No eggs. 33 eggs.
>> 33 eggs >> and then um >> that was able to make 16 embryos.
>> Yes. So now we just wait for another week to see how those progress and then after that so it'll be next week um we'll be able to see how many are remaining to be frozen.
>> Yeah.
>> And then from there we'll do the frozen embryo transfer.
>> Wow. So excited. Like this thing is really like I cannot explain how fast it feels like this is going. It is moving so fast, man. I And I don't I don't like I know it's been a while since we did this, but I don't think it went this fast last time.
>> It definitely like it just definitely did not. But God has been really good and gracious and everything's just been flowing like it should. Um so yeah, it's just a blessing. But um so yeah, feeling great. We're out now. We have to go get my car from the shop. We just took it in for like I think there was like a recall >> on the software, the camera software and something else.
>> So, we're just going to go swap out this rental, get my car, and then we're going to go and get some lunch.
>> Yeah.
>> Um just a light day, but getting out cuz the weather is really nice. It was supposed to rain today and it hasn't.
So, I'm excited about that. So, we were like, let's just get out and get some fresh air. Been cooped up in the house.
>> Yeah. But, you know what's funny? Like the like Destiny's such a trooper, man.
because she came home from the egg retrieval. She was tired. She took like a little I want to say about 2 or 3 hour nap. And then once she was done with that nap, she got up, started moving around. I'm like, you know, pace yourself. But she was just moving around like nothing happened like >> Yeah.
>> And I remember I remember that being the last time you the same day you was up and moving. Um and so she's just she a trooper, man. She >> Yeah. I like to make sure like I'm just at least moving around. I haven't been productive at all. Like, >> yeah, >> like I've literally just been buming around. But just at least like getting up, getting the blood flowing, >> you know, doing things, little things, keeping the same routine type of thing.
But >> thank you. I appreciate that cuz I try not to like >> just drag it too hard. But um >> yeah, everything uh really feels great.
So yeah, I'm just excited about that. We got a lot of eggs, y'all. Oh, that's amazing. And it's really good because as you can tell, like that number has already been cut in half just from day one.
>> Mhm.
>> Um, so it's really great and it's really important to get a lot the like when they go in there to get them all. So >> yeah, cuz I didn't realize, well, I found out obviously last time, but I didn't realize it goes through like three stages.
>> It's basically like it's basically like the playoffs, right? It goes from eight teams down to four teams and only one can really win a championship.
>> No facts.
>> So, >> it's literally how it feels.
>> Yeah. Exactly. Like, uh, eggs get eliminated and they they go to Cancun for vacation and then what's left is what's left, you know.
>> No, seriously.
My mom uh went home today early this morning. So that really worked out that she was able to come and um support us with this and um >> definitely a blessing to have >> spend some time. So yeah, I don't know.
It's just been a it's been a I know we've been just oh so MIA y'all like I already know yo like we are slacker lacking but >> it'll turn around here pretty soon. I promise we'll be back on our regularly scheduled program.
>> I've actually felt and I we felt kind we we felt bad like we're not just saying like we felt bad cuz we've been um >> I don't know man it's just I think just basically it's it started since like what January February that we've just kind of >> Yeah. just really I think like I kind of was talking to you about the other day like or on the last a couple vlogs ago like it's just been really just settling in like hardcore like really settling in like really vibing out and enjoying our family and the space and I don't know just kind of like sitting with our thoughts and just I don't know but now it's kind of it sucks when you get into those moments being a like on YouTube because it's like, oh shoot, now you have to like remind yourself to get back in to picking up the camera and like just being present.
>> No, for sure.
>> With our extended family, which is you.
And uh so yeah, but like I said, time is coming. Like it's been long enough. Like we ain't got no excuses no more.
>> Yeah. It's on both of us. It's on both of us. And I and I I've been uh you know in the midst of me trying to like do the many vlogs and the podcast and stuff like that. I you know I've kind of neglected. So I'm not I'll be the first to say like I got to step back up too. I mean it's just >> and it just happens, right? It's just I don't know. It's just a part of this journey. Like it just happens every now and then. It's like unexplainable. Like I remember it happened a couple years ago to us where we did the same thing and I think it's just necessary as well, you know.
>> Yeah.
>> But uh so yeah, said all that to say, we are headed to Dallas to get my car. Then where you said you want to go to Haywire?
>> Yeah, we're going to go to Haywire to eat. Uh that's one of our spots that we really love. Um >> so good, y'all. If y'all ever come to the DFW area, they may have them all over, but I know there's several in the DFW area. Haywire. Nice vibes outside, inside, kid-friendly, and the drinks are really good. The food's really good.
>> Yeah.
>> So, yeah. Nice little vibe.
>> We taking of course Oh, with the mole with us.
>> Yeah. She's in the back seat.
>> Probably falling asleep by now cuz it is past her bedtime. I mean, her nap time.
Um, which we try to plan right on her schedule because we know the drive is going to be an hour. So, that'll be perfect timing for her at least to get that hour of nap in. So >> yeah, >> and then we try to keep her along the lines of what her time is at school, which I mean it doesn't line up unfortunately sometimes, but we try to get as close to it as possible cuz the later she naps that means the later she going to be up and it just it throws everything off. I feel like when she >> I feel like when she naps on her regular time, she also doesn't wake up in the middle of the night, >> you know? I mean, I think I give I've given up trying to understand the night thing. I honestly think it's just whatever she decides. Like I don't think it's really anything that we do or change or anything. I don't know because it's always so different.
>> No, I know. That's Yeah, that's why I was thinking like I I don't know. It just I guess maybe just the past couple times where I know her nap time has been a little later. It seems like it just corresponded with But I could be wrong, you know.
>> Yeah. I don't know cuz then how how would that explain the weekdays where her nap was on schedule with school, you know, like the same time.
>> Yeah.
>> So, I don't know. Anyhoo, we're rolling with the punches. That's been another thing just really trying to man. It's no joke with this um night thing, especially like going through all this like being on medication and stuff like that. just it's just been a lot to kind of adjust to. Um so yeah, >> plus when we had a new kid, I mean it ain't going to even matter cuz we're going to be up with the new kid anyway.
So >> No. True. You know, >> like we'll definitely be up and it'll shape us a little bit. I guess this is like shaping us for >> the newborn. But it's I don't know. Oh, hopefully we're not jinxing it. But like we didn't have newborn trenches with ocean, so I don't know. I don't know. They say the second one >> is different. So, we'll see.
>> I remember I was talking to one lady cuz remember when we had went on um out of town, we were talking to this one couple and the lady was like, "Yeah, first one was great." And then she said, "My second one, he was a psychopath."
>> I'm like, "That you going to call your own kid a psychopath?"
>> It's so funny.
>> So hilarious, dude. how they say the middle child or the second child is just always so opposite of the first.
>> Yeah.
>> So, I don't know. We'll see.
>> Y'all just going to have to just pray for us.
>> Yeah. You know, if you if you pray for us, you know, >> it'll go a long way.
>> It'll go a long way.
>> I'm rocking my natural bun because Well, first of all, let me tell you what happened. So, I had a sew in in and it needed to desperately come down and I had hit up my stylist and I had got guys scheduled or whatever and then my egg retrieval was scheduled and it just so happened to be on the same flipping day.
So, obviously if you know you go through IVF like you cannot like move those appointments. They're all very strategic, very important, >> locked in like >> locked in. There's no >> you just got to accommodate it, >> right? So anyway, I reached out and I was like, "Hey girl, I am so sorry. Like I'm not a counselor. If I say I'm going to be there, I'm going to be there. If I make an appointment, I'm going to be there." And um so anyway, I wasn't able to make it and I hit her up and I was like, "Hey, can you fit me in somewhere else?" But she never replied.
So me and Brandon were stuck trying to take my sew in out, which was a freaking almost disaster, but we got it done. We got it done. I hate taking sewins out.
like, "Oh my god, this is the most stressful, hardest, annoying thing ever." So freaking annoying. But anyway, shout out to my husband for he he got it done.
That's all that matters is he got it done.
>> But anyway, she still has to hit me up to reschedule the appointment. So I'm like, uh, what do I do? So just rocking my natural bun for right now until I get tired of it, I guess. And then >> it's good to let it breathe, though. You got good natural hair.
>> No, that's true. Um, >> I mean, it's a couple it's a couple of grays in that bad boy.
>> I do have some grays in my edges still struggling from postpartum.
My Lord have mercy. But, um, it looks good. It's healthy. It's feeling good.
And it really does feel good to let it breathe. And my hair feel it like I feel lighter.
>> Mhm.
>> And, uh, yeah. The only thing that is hard about it is working out >> with your natural hair out. Like when I have the sew in, I don't have to worry about, you know, it's sweating out and looking crazy.
>> Yeah.
>> But this also just falls in line because for the next two weeks, they say I'm not supposed to be in the gym, so it kind of works out. I can let my hair breathe for a couple of weeks.
>> Yeah.
>> Um but yeah, anyhoo, >> I feel that cuz I'm rocking my natural, too. And my my scalp sweats like it does.
>> And it just it sweats so bad. So it's like when I have my wigs on I it >> if you wearing wigs we got bigger issues. We got a bigger fish to fry me. Turn the lights off. Tell me where you want it. baby, you're the one I want to know about.
>> We just got back from running to the store. We um first it started off we weren't going to do any cooking for tomorrow. But obviously plans changed. We woke up this morning and was like, you know what?
Actually, maybe we should do a little something something.
>> So, just a little something something.
>> Yeah. So, um, we're going to do some corn on the cob, uh, baked beans, barbecue chicken, and then hot dogs, and I think that's it. Maybe maybe a couple burgers, but we might save that for like the next day to finish up the sides and stuff.
>> The only thing I forgot was freaking mac and cheese.
>> I got to run back. I got to run out anyway cuz >> Oh, you do? Yeah, cuz I got to um I got to make sure that I got enough propane for that grill.
>> Oh, I didn't even think about that.
>> It doesn't have So, the old propane tank had the gauge on the gauge on there to show you like when it was getting low.
This one doesn't. So, >> you just need to have that.
>> I Yeah, I cooked on this a couple times and I saw it might be running low.
>> Okay. So, you think we should do mac and cheese or No.
>> Yeah, for sure.
>> Okay.
>> For sure. But I can go get it when I go out to the store.
>> Maybe we'll roll with you.
>> Yeah.
not roll maybe.
>> I didn't even think about that. I did not even think about that. Good freaking thinking.
>> Um, so yeah, cuz my sisters are pulling up as well as my little cousin and my nieces. So, it's going to be a full house.
>> A full house.
>> Okay. A real full house. So, we were like, you know what? We might as well cook because how are we going to feed all these people?
>> Yeah. No, for sure.
>> So, I got a few things actually for the week. I saw this recipe for um the Alfredo spaghetti >> and I really want I've been wanting to try it forever, but I figure why not?
Perfect timing.
>> Let's get it.
>> It's easy, so it can't go wrong.
>> You want me to make it?
>> No, I'm going to make it probably I think the food will probably run out Tuesday, so maybe like Wednesday I'll make that.
>> Yeah, cuz we got a lot of uh stuff in that freezer outside we >> Yeah.
>> Yeah, we do. We have a lot of Our deep freezer is getting full, y'all. I'm so like That was like the best little investment.
>> It was cuz this >> I love it. Don't you?
>> Yeah. Cuz this freezer in here is kind of small, so it it was good to have that extra space.
>> Yeah, for sure. And then just to kind of like keep like the what we put in the fridge that we use every day is, you know, obviously the stuff we reach for the most, but like when it comes to like catching meat on sale and stuff like that, it's really nice to have the extra extra space just to go put it in the garage. So that's been lit.
>> Yeah.
>> But um >> sofa's truck.
>> Yeah. Anyh who, just trying to get the house together. I'm washing bedding and towels and we're doing some laundry.
That way everything will be set for the week so I don't have to worry about that kind of stuff when everybody's here. We can just kind of enjoy them and make it do what it do.
>> Mhm.
>> So, I think I'm going to start one more load of clothes after the one that's currently on. Make up the beds and then we'll be ready.
>> Y'all like my outfit, by the way?
Ocean, can you say hi to the vlog?
You're just going to get in here and stand. Say hello.
>> Say hi. Say say hi.
>> Dude, I don't know if like what it is, but I feel like she's wheezing.
Do you hear me? Like >> um I I felt like I heard it if to me earlier felt like she had a shortness of breath, but >> Right. Oh lord.
I might need to get that checked out.
Like I'm hearing a little rattle.
>> Yeah, >> I hear I hear I hear definitely like a shortness of breath.
>> Which is part of it. Oh lord. I don't I just don't want her to go through nothing.
>> Yeah, >> I'll monitor it. This is the first time I'm hearing it, but um I don't know if it's like a hereditary thing, but all my family members have it like asthma and stuff like that.
>> My mom has it, too.
>> And her brother has it.
>> Lord, so it runs everywhere.
>> So, I don't know, but hopefully not claiming that in Jesus name, but I'm hearing something. So, I think I do want to get her checked out here pretty soon, but I'm going to like monitor it.
>> Mommy.
>> Yes, it's mommy. Dada.
>> Yes, it's dada.
>> Can you say family?
>> Family.
>> Yeah. Say YouTube.
>> Family.
>> Family.
>> Good job.
Say I love you.
>> I love you.
Ocean says she loves you and she's unfolding the clothes that I'm folding. Um, but yeah. Anyhoo, we got out earlier today cuz Brandon had a podcast to film. If you guys are not following Flip That Switch here on YouTube, I'll link it below. But I usually try to like get out with Ocean.
That way she doesn't like interrupt by randomly screaming or something. So, um, we did that and I had like a return. I ordered some cute stuff from Gym Shark.
my first order from Gym Shark and I really love the quality of their stuff, >> but the guy stuff just runs so freaking small. I had to send all of Brandon stuff back. Matter of fact, >> and I got and I got you and I mean you got me a 2X and it was too small.
>> Yeah, I got him a 2X and normally 2X fits like really nice, like perfect sizing. No, >> but um >> let me show you what I did get from Gym Shark because it's actually really cute.
I'll be right back. Okay, let me show you what I got real quick >> because I'm obsessed with the quality.
It's really good. I'm not going to lie.
Um so I got a size large and everything.
No, don't touch it. So, no. Back up.
Come on. Come over here with mommy. Come over here.
>> Yeah, >> come over here.
So, anyway, I got this bralette.
here. It's a really pretty blue color V-neck and it's got like uh lines in the back. So, I thought that would be super cute. I got a large in the top and bottom. I love these bralettes. These these ones right here. So good. Like the way that they snatch you in and hold everything really, really tight is so good. I got this in black as well. I already wore the black one, so it's in the wash.
Um, and then I got these biker shorts to actually go with the shirt that I'm wearing, but I just needed something to throw on. So, just got these pretty blue biker shorts. And then the last set I got was this color cuz I've never had anything this color and I just thought it would be cute, something fun to work out in. I had to get some stuff because literally the only things that I have came from Amazon at least three plus years ago and they're I think they were like size small and every time I'm working out they just roll and lift and all that stuff. So I was like you know what it is time now that I'm actually invested into working out. I'm like let me just get a few things. So I got that and I'm really happy with it. But I am super bummed out that Brandon stuff all had to go back. I'm like, what the heck?
Who do they make stuff for? Like little kids. It's so weird. So annoying cuz I got him like some of the stuff was matching and I'm so bummed out about that. So I told y'all my mom was in town the other day. So I just um cleaned up the bedding. And then I'm about to put it on and as well as wash the towels that go in here in the guest room.
I'm such a white towel kind of girl, but every time I see beautiful like colored towels, it always makes me want to like go back to um getting all the colors.
I feel like having some kind of comfort food for dinner. And I went into my pantry and landed on chili dogs. So, that's what we're going to have tonight.
Chili with no beans. This is so easy.
So good. And it's easy. It's going to take probably like 10 minutes. So, you know what? A win is a win. So, we'll probably have this with some chips and call it a night. Okay. So, I just made the chili dogs. It's literally just chili with cheese on top and some mustard. cannot have a chili cheese dog without the mustard.
But I was making Brandon's plate and then it made me think about the other day I did a video um saying that I always make Brandon's plate first.
Um, and you know, a couple people were like, "What? Why don't you make your daughter's place first?" And I always make my kids place first, and I'll understand it. And And honestly, I truly do not feel like there's a right or a wrong answer. It's literally like whatever works best for your house, you know? Like you make the rules for your house. Over here, I don't know. I just like to make even when we host I like to like serve the men first. I don't know.
I just feel like it's like head of household type of thing. It's just something that I just naturally do, you know? Like the kids are going to be the kids and they'll eat whenever and everybody's as long as everybody's fed. That's what I feel like is the right answer. Whatever you want to do, if you make your kids place first, husbands play first. But anyway, comment down below which one you do and why. My thought process is just literally I'm thinking like man had a household. Like I just feel like it's proper in my home to serve my husband first.
I don't know. That's just me. But I'm curious to know why you do what you do and why. Again, there's no right or wrong answer. So please no like arguing in the comments. I don't know why this is like such a hot like um conversation. People get like really mad about it. And now it's game time. Y'all ready to see Brandon get whooped?
>> Don't touch it.
>> Oh, you should have hit it harder.
>> Exactly.
Oh, that's a I told you I'm nice on the table. Hey, >> you almost got one of my >> I'm coming to eat you.
So cute. A >> freak is the Christmas.
>> They going to melt.
>> Z.
>> I have not been on a swing in years. It feels like Oh my god.
>> I feel like a lowkey.
>> Yes. I love swim.
>> I feel like I'm a fall every time.
>> Come on. Yes. M O I T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T M M O I T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T M M O I T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T M N O I T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T M O I T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T T Yeah, M I T
